Where do I start? Spry is more than just a box/gym. Its a family community. The coaches here are very professional, caring, and make you again feel like youre part of the family. Before you can join the general class population.Youre put through a physical assessment to see what your strengths & weaknesses are so that you may scale accordingly & so that the Coaches can know what your limitations are.At the end of the day, every coach & member want you to get the most out of your experience for yourself. Thats one of the main differentiating factors with Spry and why I love it. Were a community that doesnt just work out together but also do things together- ski trips / golf outings / community workouts / challenges / parties / etc.At this point, youre the only one getting in the way of what you want to achieve both physically & mentally, so stop wasting time and come visit us!Theres nothing like starting TODAY!!!!
Spry is a fantastic family of weight lifting and fitness enthusiasts. The coaches are fun and knowledgeable and push you to be your best. Coach Alex is the best. Couldnt recommend more highly.
Im so happy I found this amazing gym!I will start off by saying how great the coaches are here! They are very patient, understanding, and very knowledgeable!I was always intimidated of weightlifting and would shy away from it all the time. I was one of those girls that would go to the gym and just use the treadmill or the elliptical. I would always want to use other machines but felt like I wouldnt use them correctly. One day a colleague of mine told me about crossfit, and at first I didnt want to go but one day I said why not?. Im so happy I decided to go because thats where my life changed completely! I was introduced to Zeb who was the one that trained me. He was so patient, nice and great to work with! I love how everyday is a different workout! They focus on technique and get you prepared for each workout. The members here are very encouraging and we push each other to do our best! I had never been to a gym where the community is so engaged, friendly and fun! Yes! It doesnt feel like Im making myself come to the gym, its now part of my lifestyle and I love it!Aside from Zeb, the rest of the coaches like Tyler, Troy, Rene and Luke are all great! The facility is nice and oh yes...great locker room with showers! You will not regret coming here, so please check it out if youre in the area!
I love this place. They really care about their members and the experience you have at their location. I’ve been a member for over 3 years and love what this place has become.
Great place to workout. Awesome coaching and members. Clean & covid-safe. Top notch equipment and facility
I lucked upon Spry via a google search while travelling from Australia. Turns out I was super lucky - this is a great spot for a drop in. Real good vibe, great equipment, clean - friendly staff and members. The highlight? Got to pretend I was a games athlete using the same plates and bar from the games. If you are in LA, this is the place to drop in and meet Luke. Next time Im in town Ill be back!
If your goal is to be a healthier, more fit version of yourself, then check out this place. There are a lot of ways to mess up a CrossFit gym – I’d been to a couple others and was frustrated with their approach. At Spry they do it right with an emphasis on coaching and community.Every coach has a different style but their values are all aligned: do what’s best for each individual member. They help athletes recover from injury, they focus on individual goals, and celebrate accomplishments both in the gym and in the real-world. Sometimes life happens and you deprioritize the gym. The coaches here don’t forget you, they check in on you and try to bring you back into the fold.Obviously the community starts with the coaching but their example really permeates to all of the members. When I first joined I could not have felt more welcomed, which was great as I had just moved to LA. In the 9 months since, I still have not met a single person here that I wouldn’t enjoy grabbing drinks with. Of course everyone has different personalities and priorities – some people get in, do the work and get out, and others hangout at the gym for hours and then go get dinner and drinks together afterwards – but the common thread is that everyone is a good person. The great community here frankly just makes coming to the gym easier and more enjoyable.I could not recommend this gym enough.
Thanks to Spry and all the special coaches this is the best I have felt since becoming a dad five years ago. So much of the training transfers to everyday life with two very active sons! Thanks Spry for being so fly!
As someone new to crossfit, I couldnt imagine a more welcoming place to be! The trainers are all very passionate about what they do and bring great energy to the classes, and everyone Ive met has been supportive. Whether youve been doing crossfit for years, or are brand new like me, Spry Society will feel like home.
The coaching staff here is better than anywhere else you could possibly look. If you want to learn to do things right and well and feel strong and empowered, youre in the right place. The community is beyond anything I could have hoped. It feels like another home for me, Im here so often!
Great gym/box. Excellent coaches, people are cool and friendly, facility is really nice. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to increase his/her fitness level.
Just started here recently and have been crossfitting for 2+ years. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated to what they do. The personal attention they offer goes above and beyond and Im learning something new almost every day. The members are warm and welcoming and will make you feel like family. Its a nice big space with plenty of clean (& new!) equipment so youll never have to worry about feeling cramped. Beautiful bathrooms & showers, plus a sweet little lounge area where you can hang out before or after your workout. Truly loving this place!!
If you have no idea what crossfit is like, are somewhat fit, looking to improve your athleticism, hate personal training, dont like competition, and never lifted an olympic bar then you were just like me three months ago. When I signed up with Spry Society it was because of their convenient location and ample parking. I told Luke up front everything I thought I knew about cross fit and my reservations about joining... he then shared with me a price tag. It was more than I was planning on paying. I took a week to process how much this would cost me... and I realized this is the time to make the most important investment in my life. I dont need another car, another house or another vacation if I cant enjoy it because of poor fitness. In the grand scheme of things this was worth at least a try. So I went ahead and bit the bullet and did it and I havent regretted my decision ever since. From the moment I enter the gym to the second I leave I feel like Luke and his team have my back with tailored workouts that focus on safety and skills. After three months at Spry I am no longer surprised that Im drenched in sweat after the just stretching and warm up. These guys work you hard, but on your terms the right way - they push you when you need it and let up when youve earned it. I cant speak more highly about my experience thus far and my return on investment has already come through in increased strength, mobility, and endurance. Thanks Luke and Spry Society.
Love this place. Coaches are awesome. Members are friendly and like family and the gym is super clean.
I started CrossFit about a year ago in the city I was going to college in. I came home (to Culver City) a few months before I graduated to drop in to a few CrossFit gyms so I could find a new place to start at when I officially moved back home. I had such a great introduction to CrossFit that my expectations where high when finding a new place. Spry Society exceeded those expectations. The coaches are so knowledgeable, helpful, and actually really care about getting to know you. The other members of Spry are just as great and everyone welcomes you like a family. The workouts are very diverse and always challenging. The gym is very clean with bathrooms, lockers, and showers. I am so thankful I found Spry Society.
Great community! Really friendly coaches that teach and push without killing you :)
Great facilities, good equipment, and awesome coaches. The programming is good for all levels of members and it is a very welcoming environment.
If you are completely new to crossfit (like I was just a few months ago), Spry is perfect for you. If you are well seasoned in crossfit, Spry is perfect for you. I, however, had zero experience coming in and like many, was intimidated by it based off my limited prior knowledge, mainly because I didnt think I was fit enough to do crossfit. I could not have been more wrong. Spry is full of the most encouraging and welcoming group of people. The coaches are all extremely knowledgeable and excellent at finding what works for you specifically. They have grown an amazing community that is unlike anything I have seen at any gym or workout class in LA. I have tried going to the gym by myself, or going to classes through ClassPass, but I have never been as consistent in my workouts as I am with Spry. Why? Because I know that every day will be different and I never get tired or bored of it, and the people there help to hold me accountable. If you have been considering crossfit at all, or even if you havent, I would highly recommend checking out Spry!!
Great coaches. Great community. Great results.
Great clean place. Great community.
Great coaching and a very positive environment.
