Management and maintenance teams are the best I’ve ever met! They always have residents- centered mind. Very responsive to any requests from residents. The community is always clean and pleasant without noise or troubles. I will really miss North Forest!

Great apartment complex! I have lived in apartments for around 10 years. Out of all the apartments I have lived in this one has to be the most responsive and helpful.I damaged my entry way walls when I was moving in and they came and repaired it. I also had some assorted damages and was upfront about it when moving out. I was charged a fair fee to fix the damage.Thank you all so much for being such a great and caring apartment complex! If more apartments were like you all everyone would be a lot happier.

North Forest is a wonderful place that is affordable and friendly. The residents are kind, and best of all is Diana who works in the leasing office. She is patient, understanding, and helpful. Diana really made my family and I feel at peace.

They will keep your security deposit money and charge you for a new carpet when you leave. Better not spill a drop of coffee on it they will say it is urine and that you’ll have to pay for a new carpet. They falsified invoices supported by their HQ in Virginia (Southern Management group) to not return wrongful payments made to them. Good luck when you leave this place they will charge you for it one way or another.

If youve been to one apartment complex, youve been to them all, so dont expect a huge change in layout or parking. The only real difference, and a major one, is that here, the office staff and maintenance personnel are very accommodating and helpful at every request and with every return. They do include a lot of amenities in the rent, like water, sewer and gas, and they also ensure reliable access to facilities; the laundry areas in each building in particular come in handy with the general lack of laundromats around, and the gym is simple but efficient enough. Yet like most complexes, these are older construction, which means you hear every floorboard popping and creaking above and the walls arent exactly thick. Maintenance does a lot of upkeep, so you can expect to see and hear a lot of seemingly constant demo work during apartments in turnaround. Its honestly not a bad spot, and most of my discomfort stems from my introversion and dislike of apartment living anyway. However, it has served its purpose of being a relatively convenient and safe temporary spot after relocating, but I dont have any real sentimentality about it and wont feel much nostalgia whenever I find the perfect starter home. That said, it is certainly among the more affordable places to rent in an area that generally stretches a budget, and it has fulfilled my needs ever since arrival, so it has been a mostly positive experience here.

You couldnt ask for a friendlier office staff. Everyone is exceptionally helpful and they go out of their way to make North Forest feel like home. The apartment complex is always well lit and feels safe and secure. The maintenance goes above and beyond with keeping the area clean and responding quickly to any questions. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Lived here for a year before we bought our first home. Wonderful staff, they treat you like family. Outdoor pool and a small exercise center. Very prompt with service requests. They are serious about noise complaints. Great place to live. Cost is comparable or less than similar spaces and the apartments are very nice. Surrounded by woods, there’s even a small foot path from the apartments to the small park nearby. Great place to live.

My favorite place of all the apartments I ever lived in. It is a good place for both the young and old. For the children because of the good schools and natural environment and for the elderly because of being a safe and quiet place. The staff is friendly and responds to all requests promptly and courteously.

We didnt end up renting here, but will be living at the sister community Carlyle instead. I just wanted to leave a review about the experience of looking at North forest, applying and being on the waitlist. The community seems really nice and so affordable for the area its in, and has a great pool and fitness center. The one bedroom we toured was roomy and felt quite nice. Most of all, I loved the support of Diana at the leasing office. She was able to give us a tour when we showed up on a whim, and provided so much assistance throughout our application and time on the waitlist. She was so patient with all of our questions and available over email much more often and with a quicker response time than we couldve asked for, including assisting us on Christmas Eve. I cant speak to the experience of living at North forest, but we had such a positive time throughout the visits and application that we wouldve moved in with no hesitation.

I just wanted to balance out the one star review because I absolutely love living here, and it certainly must have been quite different a year ago. There are a good number of security cameras, some in plain sight and others more hidden, and the parking lot is INCREDIBLY well lit. Maybe even too well lit haha thanks, room darkening curtains. The office staff know everyone by name and are always happy to greet you. They have done everything in their power to complete our repairs quickly and skillfully. All in all, I feel very much at home here at North Forest, and if youre thinking about making this your home too, do it! Dont let an outdated review stop you. (:

Been here at north forest for approximately 1 year and I am very pleased,the office staff is great.!!!They are all very polite and helpful.Maintenance is very prompt,and the office staff do a great job at following up.They always ensure that my problem is addressed and ask if I’m satisfied.I love living here!!!!

I tried moving here and the experience was terrible.They were holding an apartment for about a week and a half mostly because it needed to be cleaned so I couldn’t see it until it was ready.I didn’t agree to anything before I could even see it but yet they still made up my lease contract. The day I finally got to see the place they wanted me to move in that same day at 4:30pm. They told me they couldn’t hold it because the company would be losing money.When I left that same day I was told that the apartment I wanted was rented out (even though they were about to close) and that the complex was then 100% rented out even though they had an apartment listed on their website for 4 days.I’m not sure if that was their way to bully me into feeing bad for not moving in the same day but I’ve never been interested in moving somewhere and had to move in the same day. It’s disappointing because I actually really liked the apartment however if the business is acting this way before I even move in then I wouldn’t want to waste my time or money here.

We lived for 6 months in these apartments.When we vacated apartment we didnt have major wear and tear at all but still While vacating apartment they have charged a lot for trash removal $75 and they returned 10$ only from my secured deposit .we felt very weird and would never suggest these apartments.

Its been an year staying in North Forest and we never felt like we are not under the safe hands.They take care of everyone like family. There team (Nathaniel, Diana, Maria, Tod, Mr.Lee, Mike, etc ) is the best and very helpful. I still remember when i was looking for Border and security office and one of the office staff himself inquired everything for me and gave me directions and all the respected details.They are very responsive whenever we had issues regarding maintenance it got resolved with in few hours. I have never waited for atleat a day.Their team is highly responsive and helpful. I have seen the best part that they take care elders people in their society like their own family. The property is old. The leasing office cares about the maintenance and the patch work across the property but not the SAFETY!The recent string of robberies and break-ins (at least 5 reported cases this year) have left the residents vulnerable. The management is casual on complaints & recommendations from its residents. The property management has not responded to my request for security cameras installation and adequate lighting in the parking area ever since someone broke into my car 2 years back. The only thing that I have been hearing from them is we are working on it!... They dont seem to learn the hard way either. THE MANAGEMENT DOESNT CARE at the 2 properties owned by Southern management!
