Crofton Village is a cute little quaint apartment complex. Management takes pride in the property here and it shows in the way they upkeep the landscape and apartment buildings. Calls for maintenance or repairs are responded to swiftly. One of the factors that made me look a little further into moving here at Crofton Village was its curb appeal. Once I saw the apartment and its layout with a spacious kitchen and bedroom, I was sold. I also like the little extra storage space thats in the apartment. The neighborhood is quiet and my neighbors are too :-)
Ive been living here for over 5 years and have been very satisfied. The maintenance employees are very helpful and always there when needed. The Managers and others in the office are always very pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this community to anyone who would like to live in this complex. They take care all around the complex and even the snow days is always plowed and clean. The cleaning employees make sure that the buildings are clean. Ill be here for a little while longer.
I can truly say that the Staff at Crofton Village has been so kind and helpful Especially Nina. We are like a tight net family community, everyone looks out for each other. And the maintenance team is an awesome group they response to work orders right away. I have been in the community for 3 years. The only thing I would say is that we could use a better way of loading money on the washing machine/ Dryer cards. Thank you for the beautiful years
Ive lived at Crofton Village Apt since 2015. Since then, I can honestly say its been great. The staff is helpful, friendly, and always takes care of me and my family. I typically dont ask for much, but when I do they always deliver!!! Prior to COVID my kids would always stop by the leasing office after school just to say hi because they love talking with the team. The team is always so kind to them. In my opinion, a great place to live.
Been here for almost 2 years now. Overall we had no problem with neighbors or any complaints from property management. Everybody to the office staff to the the maintenance staff are extremely nice and they quickly respond as fast as possible with any problems that you may have. They make sure evey 3months your filter is clean.
The neighborhood itself is ok. Not too much noise. My 10 year old son bike was stolen off our front porch. I hate that there is only one trash can on the whole complex. You have to literally pack your car up and take it or walk it a mile away. Also, their bathrooms and kitchens need updating badly. I feel like it’s a 1995 apartment.
Nice quiet place to live! maintenance is great fix issues fast! People in the complex are Nice and friendly!
I love the convenience of having everything close by. Major shopping outlets. Safeway, Giant, Wegmans, Target, Marshalls, Chick fi lay. Easy access to DC, great schools, friendly/family oriented neighborhood. Apartments are huge, building and grounds are well kept, staff is friendly and responsive. The positive attributes definitely weigh out the negative. The negative comes with apartment living and that would be other tenants not respecting common areas (hallways and laundry rooms) not picking up after their pets, smoking. I plan on staying until my son graduates, another 4 years and then who knows! If youre starting over, like me, single, have a family, Crofton Village is a place I call home!
I love it here been here couple years now the neighborhood very quiet it’s great environment the apartments are in great location the Crofton village team has done spectacular job!!!!!!
I’ve never applied to an apartment complex before that is based only on a credit score. This isn’t my first encounter with trying to move to the Crofton area. I was given fair warning that they discriminate in Crofton as needed. The manner in which I was denied by the assistant manager Nina today was very unprofessional. I have never been denied or approved by anything via email with such a cold response. It took an entire week to send an email to inform me I was denied.
I lived there for twenty years and from the property manager to the newest employee, the team works hard for the tenants around the clock and if there are equipment outages the maintenance department is on call 24 hrs. They are an excellent organization and I highly recommend them.
We recently just moved to Maryland from south Carolina, Doing lots of searching around for a place to live. We came across Crofton village apartments in the time we were here trying to Get place to live quickly as i was relocating for a new job. We were approached By Nina the assistant manager of the complex who went above and beyond our expectations to Help us the best she could! we found and apartment we loved and a wicked awesome location to my job. Ron the director and owner of the complex was very helpful and kind and listened to our needs as well. I would recommend anyone that is moving to the Crofton area to give them your best! as they will for you in return. We are very thankful to come across a wonderful complex with great neighbors
With Covid-19 happening and asking peopleFor 60 thousand dollars a year seem a little out rages for an apartment and not taking in consideration that a lot of us have been out of work for 3 or 4 months
Crofton village apartments had been nothing but good to us. The community is tight knit, and everyone typically gets along. I wish we had more laundry units per building, but that is just nitpicking. The village, are apartments that feel like home, and everyone on the staff are helpful and considerate... its cold out here, thanks for the cocoa!
Lived in Crofton Village Apartment for more than two years. It was satisfying experience living there. The nationhood and schools are great. Property Manager Ron Nichols is very caring and convenient.
So. A lot of these reviews are things I would be upset about as well, but I haven’t personally had this type of experience living here. I think a lot of people don’t understand that property management and working in leasing is EXTREMELY hard and very rarely do you receive positive feedback. For the area (close to a million grocery stores, moderately safe neighborhood, close to Annapolis/Baltimore/AND D.C., lots of fun shops, great school district) it is a good price and clean complex. The maintenance does an amazing job of cleaning up trash, Ron is super helpful, and Nina is so pleasant. I had a few hiccups at the beginning but Ron has done an amazing job of resolving any issues. I renewed my lease. I’ve moved over 5 times in my apartment renting experience because I won’t stay someplace I’m not happy. But I renewed with them due to the privacy they give and the resolution to any issue I’ve had. Yes, some people are ignorant and leave their trash outside of the dumpster (lazy) or the washing machines aren’t the best, but they are small inconveniences. There are like 20 CHEAP large laundromat facilities( which is just smarter anyway) ... I’ve never had a bug problem or anything and my neighbors have been so friendly. They are extremely pet friendly as well. It’s not a 5 star resort but you definitely receive more than what you pay for, esp living in Anne Arundel County which is EXTREMELY expensive.Thank you guys for always being receptive to feedback and welcoming.
Ive lived in the community approaching a year in Feb and its been nice. Living so close to the shopping center and my childrens school is amazing. The apartments are spacious and I never hear my neighbors, which is a plus. The community is family oriented and I have some of the best neighbors. The individual buildings are cleaned every single morning. The maintenance and property management staff have been friendly and helpful from day one. The bathrooms could use some updating and the overall apartment as well. There were leveling issues with my floor but once brought to the managers attention, they did everything to correct the issue to my liking. Its a pretty quiet place, which I love. Its family friendly. The school system is amazing. The only downside I would have to mention are the gnats in my apartment. I keep a clean apartment and the gnats have simply taken over. They are in every room of the apartment. I caught 20 or more in one day as I had traps (apple cider vinegar and dish soap) set out on counters. I dont have plants, pets, wet rags, fruit, food sitting out and wondered where they were coming from.. I placed a call to the property manager who was honest about not much that could be done and also the pest control who suggested I add ice cubes and pieces of lemon to the garbage disposal before running it, since thats where they live. He recommended I do this every week or so.. I thought it was an isolated issue but later learned that other tenants were having similar issues. The gnats are annoying and frustrating. Nothing worse than having guests and gnats on your wall. Ive gotten some control but they still linger. Its not as worse as it once was but they are still present.Other than wishing something could be done about the gnats, this really is a great place to live and nice place to call home. So far, so good.
Original Review: After a two month long search for a new place, my mother and I came across Crofton Village on Zillow. At first glance it was a little too good to be true but after speaking with the assistant property manager, Nina, we were welcomed to take a tour of the complex. The grounds were very well kept and the level of service we received was outstanding. The application process was no where near as long and drawn out as previous complexes weve applied to and we received feedback that following week. It is safe to say we are very excited to move in!Update 3 years later: We will be moving out as soon as the lease is up this year. Crofton Village isnt horrible but you get what you pay for so we cant really complain too much in the end. The trash situation isnt the best, you can hear your neighbors using the bathroom while in the bathroom yourself, the laundry units are pricey/inconvenient/kinda dirty/small (we drive 20 mins to Super Clean Laundromat in Laurel just to wash - that says a lot) (and there arent enough machines for the number of people in each building - this is honestly the MAIN reason why we are leaving, if they had in-units wed probably stomach another year long lease), and you also cant even protect your own apartment by using a small little ring cam (we had neighbors messing with our door and have had packages go missing that couldnt fit in the AmazonHub). If you have issues you can expect them to be addressed but probably after days/weeks of probing and a couple reminders to the office. To end with some pros Id say they are great with eliminating/avoiding pest, keeping the outside of the complex well groomed and reminding you to pay rent.Again, living here is bearable and by no means awful, but I no longer want to tolerate my home, so thats why were moving. In conclusion, Im REALLY excited to move on from this place, though Im grateful for the experience.
Crofton Village Apartments has been our home for my family for almost almost six yrs now. We love Crofton and the location was perfect for my work and my sons elementary school as well as my husbands job . Its affordable and so close to everything from shopping, schools and Baltimore and D.C. !! The staff here are very sweet and friendly.
Looking forward to moving from this development. The management is more concern with you paying rent then resolving maintenece issues and noise concerns. I would not suggest moving into apartment T3/915 the furnace noise is unbearable. The laundry and dryers and not well maintained. The unkeep of the building is fair.
I have to say for any issues that I have had since moving in, Crofton Village has gone above and beyond to correct the situation. The apartments are affordable for the area and in a great location.
Very very bad experience
I would not move into this complex really bad drug problem, trash problem, the protery mangers just care about there money and nothing else. If you want to live in a place that just gives a crap about money then this is your place. Even the maintance guys at the proptery manger
Jaime is the best for any need. but you will get free bed bugs in there.
DISCRIMINATION! I have Never felt so discriminated against in my entire life. In the early months of 2015, I called this complex to find out leasing information for my aunt, whom is moving from New York and receives Section 8 Vouchers. I was told that the vouchers were accepted here and pricing information. My aunt asked me to reserve a one bedroom and a den to move in on January 2, 2016. On May 2, 2015, I visited the complex to tour an apartment model and to send my aunt pictures and more information about the reservation process. When I visited the complex I was given a list of the floor plans, prices, and income qualification amounts. For the 2 bedroom, 2 bath The Patuxent model, rent is $1,375+Electric&Water. The salary qualification for this model is $58,980.After showing my aunt the information, she asked me to ask them if she also needed to make $58,980 to meet the income qualification, if Section 8 would pay her rent. She mentions that if she made that much money, she would not qualify for Section 8 Vouchers. On May 3, 2015 I called and spoke with the only leasing consultant on the property, Sharee.Long story-short, I asked her about Section 8 qualifications. She told me Now look, Im not going to go back and forth with you. I told her that I was not getting aggressive or arguing with her, and that I simply am asking a legitimate question. I asked her How do this comply with the Fair Housing Act? She then gets even more aggressive and says Look you cant just ask about Fair Housing Act. I tell her that I am allowed to ask about it. She says I feel uncomfortable when you start asking about the Fair Housing Act.After more of this terrible customer service, she says that her manager instructed her to answer that way.I took her managers contact information and told her that I hope our call was being recorded.*Honestly, I was not calling her to give her trouble or threaten her with a Fair Housing Act lawsuit. I was only asking questions that were completely appropriate. She responded in a Hostile, Aggressive, and Argumentative tone. By responding in that way, she lost a possible sale and insured that we would Definitely Not sign a contract.I will be getting in contact with her manager named Tinley, corporate, and whomever else I need to contact about this. A simple Fair Housing Act questions should be directed at my manager by Sharee, would have sufficed.
