I lived with someone who rented with this company, and they are so amazing! So friendly and accommodating. Nice homes for very decent prices! They will try to work with you as much as possible if you’re a little late on rent. Also if ANYTHING breaks or if there’s an issue, they have someone at the residence the next day, if not that same day! They never make you feel bad for reporting or fixing the issue. Mrs. Joyce the lady in the office upfront is so nice and professional. And when you have to speak with Scott, at first he seems intimidating but he’s very professional and super understanding. All and all, this is the best accommodating, most professional, absolutely amazing rental company in or around this area.

Before I begin I understood when I read the nonrefundable fee terms. However, I submitted an application to this company at 8am this morning, got my receipt confirming the application was sent. Check on the listing via link of opening my receipt to show its no longer listed. I had to call to find out the apartment was already taken even before my app was considered. So, I wasted $20 to waste my time filling out an application for something that shouldve been taken down off site. Good job screwing people out of money. I will look elsewhere. Learn to teach your people communication.

Stay away from JRW investments if you value transparency. We met all of the rental qualifications and were still denied, and then fed some line about not being the first applicants when we had already confirmed there were no other applications several days prior (its the first question I ask whenever applying).Waste of time and energy just to be lied to and then given zero insight as to why we were denied.Edit: I dont appreciate the copy and paste response, and it doesnt address your staff misrepresenting your application process and later lying to us, only to revise their statement when we clarified that we knew for a fact that we were the first applicants.

Me and my friend applied for a property put down the fee and waited even offered to give them a deposit asap. Got a call that we were denied no reason just denied. Dug deeper none of my references were contacted, credit was never run. Same for my buddy. I guess law enforcement isnt good enough for them.

We have been renting from them for years and we have not had a problem at all. They are very professional and very willing to work with you if you communicate with them & very understanding. I Recommend Them to anybody wanting to rent and asks .

Everything has been great so far I do wish they didnt have a 50$ lease prep fee.

Well, I was leery about paying an application fee to this company, and it turns out my feelings were warranted.My roommate and I both have service animals, and I had called to see if it would be worth applying or not. The secretary, Joyce, informed me that she didnt know, but her guess would be that it wouldnt be worth it.That said, I reviewed their policies once more. I saw that they accepted service animals with provided proof, so I decided to give it a shot as we were in a tight situation, and she had said she wasnt sure.I called each day from turning the application in, despite getting the feeling that my calls were not welcomed. There was very little dialogue each time, and to say I felt as if they cared would be a horrible lie.The weekend came and went, and then today we received an email that was very short and uninformative. It said:This email is to inform you that your application to rent the above referenced property was not approved and you will not be able to rent from us.Thank YouSo, of course, I called to figure out exactly why this was. I thought maybe we could clear up any questions they may have, or at least have an idea of what set us back.The phone wasnt answered by Joyce, but the man who goes over applications and such. Im not sure if it was Scott or not, but regardless, he stated that we had been denied because there was an application before us.I told him that I had been told we were the first applicant, and he quickly back tracked and said that he should have said that the homeowners chose an application they liked better.So... ultimately. I feel lied too. I should have gone with my gut, and not given them any money. Ive dealt with a few property management companies over the last couple weeks and all of them have been more friendly, welcoming, and up front with us than this place.Between him, and the email, it seems they have no interest in helping us any longer. Not that I had the feeling they ever had any interest. Not to mention I dont think they clearly have any qualms about lying to you.All in all, just be careful you guys.UPDATE/RESPONSE:This response was honestly a waste of your time. If youre going to respond to critique of your business, you could at least touch on the SPECIFIC points made by the person who attempted to do business with your company.Instead, you just use a cookie cutter response. Im not surprised though, given the fact that whoever I spoke too on the phone deliberately lied to me and then back tracked when I called it out.As I said, the secretary specifically told me that we were the first applicant, and that there was a woman who had been approved prior, but that she changed her mind last minute.The man I spoke too on the phone said that there was an applicant before us-- which to me not only implied it is a first come, first serve basis, but that either he was lying, or she was lying (didnt know what she was talking about).Once I mentioned what the secretary had said, he quickly seemed startled and changed his story, and all of a sudden it was that the property owner found an application they liked better.WHICH is all fine and well. Yes, we liked the home. Yes, we were hopeful, but I dont just write negative reviews because I didnt get my way, and I feel your response kind of implies that.I am genuinely disappointed with the experience AFTER the fact. When I called to inquire as to WHY our application was denied (because the email I received was short and sweet), I was given nothing. Just a man who either didnt know what he was talking about, or was lying. Either way it rubbed me wrong, and it was unprofessional.If I had received a more concise and direct answer as to WHY our application didnt fit the bill, I wouldnt be writing any of this now.Furthermore, your company didnt seem at all interested in helping us find a home that would work for us then, or in the future. The email was very rude, given that we paid a fee.So please, do not trivialize genuine critique. Instead, learn from it.

Great Team of People. I lived down south in Tampa and blindly ran across these wonderful folks. I took a trip up here and they gave me keys to 3-4 properties. I fell in Love with the area and the property. Ive been renting since 2015 and dont plan on going ANYWHERE. I Love these people and the way they respond if anything goes wrong. Having lived in Tampa for the last 35 years, I could not believe how nice Joyce and Brooklyn were/are. Put your money and trust in them and you WONT go wrong.

Very unprofessional and shady property management company, continuously lied about rental property and did not offer equal housing opportunity. Would never recommend to anyone serious about buying or renting property. Look elsewhere

Great Company! Helped me rent my first two homes. Maintenance was always handled immediately.

Do not for any reason do business with this company. They are liars and thieves.The front desk receptionist Joyce told me, a prospective renter but still unsure, I had two weeks in order to decide if I wanted to rent one of their properties and if I decided not to within those two weeks my deposit would be refunded.But to my surprise, when I called within this time period to inform her I would no longer able to rent the property, as I was moving out of state, and would like my deposit back she claimed she never said the deposit was refundable and JRW investments refuses to honor our verbal agreement.These people will steal milk money from a school kid if they think they would get away with it and the only investment they care about is themselves.So fair warning; dont trust these guys and if you still choose to do business with them at least protect yourself and get everything in writing or video. Dont be a sucker like I was.

Did not return any phone calls, assumed because we had the cash upfront we were drug dealers. Absolutely disgusted with their business practices. I dont understand how they are still in business with their poor customer service and their incorrect assumptions. BTW, we just sold our homes, thats why we had cash. You shouldnt assume things about people you know nothing about.

Just unprofessional. Not sure if staff is scared to do their job, but to not be able to tell someone why there not approved is kind of weird . Put an application on a house we saw that night the next morning the house was taken down . When called the staff basically the house got took . We lost our little application fee even though they didn’t have enough days to process it, and they say we can’t find another home that comes up or rent from them either way .
