Retro-fitting duct work is a very difficult job. We had an energy efficient 4-ton LG heat pump installed to heat and cool our home. The project was properly communicated and done with care by Bobby and his team. The whole team was kind, respectful, and a pleasure to be around every step of the project. American Home also works with the RISE program here in Rhode Island which is great because a project of this size and the financing perks are a no-brainer. 6/11/21 owner came out for a service call to unclog the condensation drain, 1st time using this company. he charged $275 for 30 minutes and a 3 clear piece of pvc that was not needed or causing the problem. he didnt unclog drain pipe like i asked, as of today 8/1/21 the drain is still clogged. I feel like he saw an opportunity to end his day with little effort to fix the problem, and try to make a profitable service call. Trying to take advantage of a senior citizen is not good business.I will never refer this company to anyone.

My only regret is I wish I wrote this review sooner. We obtained quotes from 3-4 different companies for central air conditioning installation. Bobby provided us with the most competitive price with the least amount of disruption to our family. The other companies we received quotes from all indicated it would require 4+ days for the entire project to be completed. The team at American Home Heating and Air Conditioning did an excellent job and finished the installation in one day. The work itself was better than what we could have imagined and we have received compliments from others thinking that the air conditioning was installed when the house was originally built. What we also appreciated was that each member of the crew introduced themselves to us which in the grand scheme of things may not be a big deal to some people, but it was just another example of their professional customer service. The entire team went above and beyond and, when we found out a desired wifi thermostat was not compatible, an employee offered to pause installation while we went out and purchased the correct one. Bobby and his team worked with us, accommodating our request for the location of one of the registers. I highly recommend this company!

Bob was professional and thorough on my homes central air conditioning system proposal. Lou and his team provided an excellent system installation.

So this review is way too late. Bob and his son worked on my paths house about 7 years ago and put in a new central air system and boiler. They did an amazing job with the duct work and boiler so I had them give me a quote for a new boiler at our house. Bob showed up and gave me a quote which was within the range of the other guys I received a quote from, but seeing as I had already seen their work I went with American Home Heating. They installed the new boiler and the following day installed the wifi thermostats. Very good company to deal with. Hey happy with the work!

Incredibly professional and responsive company that did a fantastic job helping me convert from oil to gas. I was in a tough spot as my oil tank had sprung a small leak and I needed to move quickly on a conversion. They came out right away to provide an estimate and worked on fitting me into their installation calendar quickly do to my situation. Install team was professional and detailed and did a fantastic job. Pricing for the job was well below many of the TV/Radio ad companies and the overall experience was excellent.

This company is top notch. We got about seven quotes and we were impressed from the start. Ironically they were the first ones. They are professional and courteous. They were well organized and cleaned up after themselves. They are reasonable. My system was up and running in one day. I had other companies tell me it would take three days to complete. The ten year warranty on parts and labor blew us away. Don’t hesitate to use this company. You won’t be disappointed!

I recently put an addition on my house, this addition required heat. After a consultation with Bob, it was determined that heat/air conditioning may be another option. He thoroughly explained the difference between what was initially proposed and the option to upgrade and/or change to a more efficient system, heat/air condition system. The system works great, the professionalism, customer focus was great. I had an occasion to call him back to change filter and make some minor changes, response was timely, customer focused. This team replaced my old and inefficient gas boiler with a new Viessmann high efficiency boiler and I couldn’t be happier. I got the feeling they treated my home and system as if it were their own. The more I look at the work the more I am impressed with the clean job they did tying the new system in with the existing pipes. I am not an expert but from what I can tell, only quality parts are used, without breaking the bank. They also understood National Grid incentives and helped me with that. I originally gave this company a poor rating for not being responsive, but I have to change my review. Turns out there was a miscommunication with their answering service. I called on a Saturday and was ask to wait for the owner to return my call (however, they do not take emergency calls on weekends, which was not explained to me by the answering service). I called again on Monday because there was no callback. Robert, the owner, called me on Tuesday morning. He had no idea I tried to call them on Saturday and was responding to my Monday call. He apologized to me, which was very professional. It turned out I could not use their service for my needs but Robert recommended 2 other companies to call. I misjudged this company, and when I have my boilers replaced, I will call this company again.

These guys were great. Had them put a heat pump system in my addition and it works great. Saves me a lot on oil during the year. The install went fast and easy. Cleaned up after themselves as they went along. Bobby (owner) is very knowledgeable and up to speed on new technology and what works. He also installed a mini split for my mother. She loves it and simplified her life not having to burn wood or fill the pellet stove. And in the summer she is cool and comfortable. I’d recommend this company to anyone who needs to replace, update, or even new installs.

The Good Reviews and estimate for what I got a 3 1/2 ton 16 seer system and 10 warranty.it Was cheaper than The Two other estimates i got that where smaller .system 2 ton 13 deer and 1 year . warranty. The installation took about 4 1/2 hours on a very hot day. The crew was great. Anyone interested hiring this company call for a estimate. I have recommended to a few people.

Bobby has been amazing. Back in 2015 when I had a newborn and 2 year old it was a heat wave and my ac broke. All the companies I called were overwhelmed. When I called American and explained my situation they not only guaranteed they would come that day but that it would be fixed no matter how long it took. Bobby was great and since we have used him for all our AC needs. They are very responsive, reliable, and dependable. Would highly recommend to anyone.

During the Summer of 2019, literally during the hottest week of the year (end of July), the condenser/compressor unit of my homes central air conditioning finally failed. Despite the extremely busy time of year for air conditioning needs, Bobby came right out to evaluate the problem. Despite the fact that their supplier had units on back-order, his crew installed a brand new unit in only a couple of days, 3-4 days earlier than expected given the demand during that time of year. Great work, done right, for the right price!

When things go wrong you truly learn the character of a company. My retrofitted AC system install didnt go smoothly. However, the company stepped up to the plate and made everything good. Replaced my whole heating and air conditioning unit on time and at a great price

The owner Bobby put in a faulty limit switch and charged me almost $300 for 15 minutes of work. I had to get the switch replaced by T Gomes HVAC a few months later who said it was definitely not the right part and was most likely one he just grabbed from anywhere. T Gomes only charged me $95 plus $50 for the correct limit switch, which they ordered and explained everything they were doing the entire time. I would highly recommend using them instead of wasting your money.

Great people, honest, timely and affordable. Very high quality workmanship. I recommend them to anyone.
