Car X is where I go for oil changes. I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon hoping to make an appointment for an oil change, but they were able to get me in immediately. Service was quick and friendly. In the past, they have also rotated and balanced my tires. I like that their oil changes dont cost me very much. Highly recommended.

Tony saved the day! We were in town for a wedding when our check engine light came on. He was able to squeeze us in on a busy Saturday and the mechanics found and fixed the problem right away. Great experience!

THINK TWICE BEFORE PATRONIZING THIS ESTABLISHMENT.My son made an appointment online. He arrived approx. 15 minutes early for his appointment and told the counter person he was there for his appointment. My son was told he had no appointment, but he insisted he did. The counter person then asked did you make your appointment online? My son confirmed this. The counter person then said for future reference, the online appointments dont work. He then stated he could get him in tomorrow - no apology, no offer to squeeze him in, etc., as they were not busy and an obvious mistake had transpired. All that was needed was to install 4 tires, that were already mounted and balanced.If your online appointment scheduling is not functional, disable it from your website so customers dont waste their time - or did your rude employee not want to perform this minimal service? Also, train your employees to have resolutions for situations like this and to treat customers with respect - CUSTOMER SERVICE. So much for supporting local business.

Alone and a bit distraught over a flat tire, trying to figure out my spare. Car-X was across the way, so out of despair I called to see if they could help. They sent someone over right away! He changed my flat to the spare, so I was able to get my car to the shop. They helped troubleshoot the tire and made the best recommendation. They were friendly, professional, efficient, and honest. Chris and his team totally SAVED me and I am so thankful. If you need a honest car place in CG, this is it.

Side note Im a mechanic myself. Chris was great to work with. Didnt get pressured into anything, he was very polite and understanding to my situation. Nice local shop. Glad I stopped by.

Great fast friendly service, they get you in and out. There prices are in par with other service shops. They are next to McDonalds and Arbys so you can grab a fast bite while you wait. They make sure your car leaves better than when it went in and goes over the repairs they did and what your future needs.

I brought my car in for an oil change and a couple days later my wife had a rattle while driving down the highway and returned home to switch cars. I contacted Carx to ask if I would be able to bring the car back in a couple days to get looked at since I had to be home for my infant son who was sleeping. Carx offered to have someone drive out to my residence and looked at the car. They were able to determine what it was, was nothing they did wrong, but a piece had rusted and finally snapped. They drove my car into the shop and repaired it at no cost. Wonderful service!

They are honest with their work and wont make up miscellaneous problems to price gouge ya.

Tires for my BMW Convertible were less expensive than even discount tires in Woodbury so obviously very happy. Great customer service. Will be a return customer.

We have lived in the area for over 30 years. years ago I used to take my cars to tires plus to have work done on them. Over a period of years I had bad services and started going elsewhere. Then Car-X became the owner and my son went in to have some work done on his car and was very happy with the work and price, so I tried to use them. Over the last 3 times that Car-X has worked on my cars I have been very happy with the honesty, price, and the work that was completed. Thank you for your service and I am a loyal customer now.

I was there on Wednesday July 1 2020. I had purchased 4 new tires and was there to get the tires mounted and balanced on my 2000 Grand Am SE. I had had an issue with my tires not being balanced very well here so I asked them to make sure they were balanced and checked to be good to go so I did not need to come back. After they were all done (by the way I was the first customer at 8am). They pulled my car out and as they drove it near the door I noticed that a hub cap was missing from the right rear tire. We looked for it and found it laying on the ground in the lot...so it fell off after 20 feet of driving, that should of been my first clue.... well the gentlemen at the counter Helped put it back on so I could be on my way. Well after driving it to work one time which is about 20 miles each way I lost three of the four hubcaps on the car Because the lack of attention of putting them back on right. So now I need to also buy all new hubcaps for all four tire. Not happy with this place and tires is their specialty....

First time customer- son had oil changed here with free brake inspection and tire rotation per coupon. After oil change he was told rear brakes are completely out and rotors possibly need to replaced as well. We decided to not have it replaced and just paid for oil change. Today we changed rear brakes pads ourself and brake pads were still in good shape- did not need to be replaced yet! Saved ourselves lots of money! Will not be returning here again.

Just brought my car in because I thought I smelled gas. They called back and said they couldn’t find anything wrong after much investigation. I appreciate a that this is a mechanic I can go to and get honest feedback from!

So today I went in for my scheduled tire installation (4). At first, the Gentlemen at the counter was very kind and friendly. We had a nice conversation and he educated me on what the numbers on the tires meant. Delighted and feeling enlighten, I offered the tire tech several bottles of water to show my appreciation for working so hard on such a hot day. I do a lot of work outside so I know how it feels to work in this kind of heat. After about an hour, the desk worker came and informed me that my vehicle will be finished shortly. As I started my truck and began to back out the bay, I noticed the tire sensor TPMS was lit. I began to drive out of the lot, but it kept bothering me and I didnt want to have make another trip back out so I reversed and asked the desk worker why is my TPMS light was still on. I even said that my tires looked a little low. He told me not to worry because its new tires, it will take a while for the sensor to catch up to the inflated psi amount. (this I have never heard of before, but i figured I should trust him since hes the professional and its his profession.) I drove my truck home and noticed it had a slight shake to it but parked it anyways. After 2 hours I came outside and noticed the tire looked even more flat. I drove to the gas station and purchased a tire gauge. The PSI in my tire was 19! I filled with air up to 40 psi and I called Car-X to see if I could come back and have them take a look at it. The time was about 5:50 and they close at 6 so I thought maybe they left home early and just left a voice mail. 10 oclock comes around and I take a look outside and yup, yeah my tire is now completely flat. I also noticed that only 2 of the tires has weights on it so now Im wondering if they even balanced my tires. That could explain why I now have the shakes when I didnt before i went there.I am so disappointed and heartbroken. Both the desk worker and the tire tech seemed so nice, how could they have lied to me and give me such bs service. I choose to go there because I live near by and I wanted to support the local guys. I regret doing that and now feel like I should have went to discount tires or pep boys. I sure expect to get a call from their manager and have him explain to me how this is my fault on Monday.

A basic oil change. Stripped the oil pan by over tightening the oil plug. Wasted whole Saturday morning. Told that we would not be charged. Very unfortunate experience.

Came in thinking I needed $500 worth of wor . Turns out it was just a $5 part. Hard to find honest mechanics now a days. These guys rock!

Got an oil change.. or well, I asked for an oil change.. less than 1/2 a month later, I had to get my brakes fixed, and the mechanic working on my van checked my oil and saw that it looked like TAR... didnt even look like my oil had been changed recently. Went and brought my receipt and the receipt from the other mechanic over to CarX and got my money back.. I never plan on going back there again.

AC issue. They quickly determined the problem and while I was expecting the worst, it just needed to be evacuated and charged with Freon. This was due to an error that I made trying to do it myself. Very honest. They could have told me it needed a lot more and I would have believed it. They didnt. Thanks for keeping it real.

Brought my vehicle in for a brake fluid leak. They told me a caliper was broken and needed to be replaced. I decided to check it for myself to save $600 and glad I did. It turns out the bleeder screw was loose and just needed to be tightened. I will never return after this scam attempt.

Came in to get some general work done on my car last week, Jim was very knowledgeable and seemed very genuine. Will definitely be back next time my car has any issues!

Overcharged verses average cost. The starter that I had changed was billed to me $480 and the average cost is over $100 less. I would not have had the work there but didnt want to tow my vehicle to another location, big mistake.While I was in there they were also telling a customer that they changed the TPMS sensors because they were faulty however they had to do it again on all his tires and had to charge him again because he had it done earlier and they would not cover the faulty sensors because of the time.They also quoted me $1,100 for a repair that two other shops quoted me $410, and $450 respectively to do. This was the final nail in the coffin for this company and hence the reason for the negative review.They were polite and helpful however, but I dont consider that a value considering the over charge compared to what I get done at other shops. I will never go there again for ANY reason.

I just want to find out from you guys how water pump for $50 and belt for $69, and the labor cost is $735 plus service fee of 39, making a total of $894 I check with other local shops around everything would have cost $400-500, Overcharged $494-394. Please do process my refund.

Since we moved to the area a couple of years ago, my family has been using this shop for maintenance of all of our vehicles. All employees are very nice and respectful and are very good at what they do!

Worst pricing ever. How in the world are you still in busy ? All you do is over charge and try to sell more than what is needed ! You should be ashamed of yourselves ! Tried charging my wife $375 for 2 tires, then decided to talk her into get 4 and tried charging her $740. Thats almost $200-300 more than any shop around town. Im glad she called me before doing business with you!

Overcharged and the person at the front desk said because we didnt reed the small little letters. Needless to say that they do not accommodate for near sided people. In addition, the coupon did in fact say that the price on the coupon was representative of shop supplies and equipment costs and that my charge would not exceed 39 dollars. So in short buyer beware the large print price on, the CARX coupons are not the final price.
