Pleasant barbers and lively Latin music. I wanted to love it, but when I got home and checked out my cut carefully, my side burns were uneven. Maybe the price they pay for working so fast. I plan to give them another chance. Hope they can be more attentive to detail in the cuts moving forward.

A man should feel a sense of pride coming out of the barbershop. A new swag in your step. Thats what I got. My two year old gets his haircut by Carlos and he loves it. No panic, no tablet, he just enjoys the experience. Carlos is amazing with him. Carlos cut and trimmed my beard and its the best its looked in years.For the services they provide I feel their prices are reasonable, even cheap as compared to the barber of choice in Raleigh. Clean, bright, good music, beer, wine, and coffee are available AND drinks for the younger crowd.Overall I give it 5 stars because Google doesnt have 6. As long as Im living here, were going there. Ask for Carlos when making an appointment. If he can fix my beard and face I know he can take care of yours.*Walks out with a lot of swag in my step*

I have never had what I would call a barber. I have never been one to pay more than great clips price for a hair cut but this place right by my work has change my mind. They always get my hair so spectacular that my wife gets mad when I dont keep it styled! That are very skilled and can cut and style in any way you could ever need. I will be coming here for many years to come. This place is high five highly recommended!

This place surpassed all expectations, great fade, and cut, the shave and beard trim was on par! All this in a very old school feeling environment for just $35 thats a stealing deal! Best haircut I’ve received in a long time. Very nice shop, great atmosphere, and a very experienced and caring staff. Alex and company do an incredible job of making sure your experience is a good one. Free coffee and other beverages (great Cuban coffee!) are just a little icing on the cake. This barbershop has absolutely the best atmosphere of any barbershop I’ve ever visited - and I’ve visited barbershops all over the world! It has a very vintage vibe to it - very classy - Frank Sinatra was playing the whole time I was there. Alex gave me exactly the haircut I wanted - best fade I’ve had in a long time, maybe ever. 10/10.

Absolutely amazing barbershop! I came in with a very bad fade and long hair and the owner took excellent care of me. He was fully booked and took the time to take me in and didn’t rush through the cut. I observed the other barbers in the shop and they too gave great fades and cuts to their clients, This shop is a serious threat to the other shops around! Don’t waste your time going anywhere else THIS is the place to get your hair cut! Oh and free drinks with a cut! Their coffee was great!

Great cuts, good clean shop, craft beer included with haircut, show up early so you can enjoy it before your cut. Appointments start on time which is rare. I dont speak Spanish but it wasnt a huge obstacle. Great place.

Alex is a professional barber, who takes his time and actually listens to the customer. He FIXED my sons haircut that he received from one of the national chain. Alex maintains the art of a professionally trained barber who uses scissors and finishes with a shave using a blade. After over 10 years in Charlotte, I finally found a real barber. The place décor is inviting and very clean. Alex’s demeanor is friendly and warm, not to mention he makes a mean Espresso that gives Starbucks a run for their money. My son and I are very happy and with the service.

Im typing this with half an eyebrow... Been growing out my hair for six months to go back to a former hair style. Instructed Alex to only cut sides and back. Showed picture of previous hair cut. Told not to take any off top, or the bare minimum to straighten it up a bit. Off came three inches. Been in the USA 20 years and his English comprehension is still terrible. Kept trying to push me to have a free beer. Accidentally cut half my left eyebrow super short while trimming them. Seemed to do ok with a childs trim right before me. Absolutely not worth the price.

FINALLY!!! Someone in Cornelius that knows how to skin fade and NOT leave any lines. This is a perfect example of what a real barbershop should be, this is what I have been waiting for and finally it is here. Very professional and clean, an old school barbershop. Ive been making the mistake of going to a chain for the last few months and I leave looking like my 4 year old niece fixed my hair. I finally told my self that Im going to take some time to find a good barber. Got on Google and took a look around to find this place pretty close to me with 15 five star reviews. I called and Alex had an opening an hour out. Went ahead and put my name down on the list, chilled for 30 minutes, then made my way over there. Walked in, decor was already a step up from the chains Ive been going to. Was able to take a seat in the chair after 15 minutes in the lobby. Alex started going to town on my hair. He spent double the time on the sides and back of my hair than those ladies in the chains spend on the entire cut. Alex is a cool dude. He makes you feel comfortable even when hes throwing that straight razor around your neck. I got out of that chair feeling fresh. I looked like a baller. Best cut Ive ever had. Im a dude that never cared about my hair. I do now. Im going back to A Barbers Bar & Cafe. Theres a lot more value here than the other places Ive been. Thanks, Alex!

My friends and I tried this place because of all the good reviews on here. After we left this place my friends and I had to find another place to have our butchered hair cuts fixed. Very expensive for their experience level. I would not take my dog here. I am starting to believe the good reviews are from friends and family. Good luck trying to talk to him or his wife. Their broken english is terrible. They try and make everything ok with a free soda. Thank god they are not the only place to get a hair cut. If they were. I would keep my hair long.
