Where shall I start? OK. Beautiful, immaculate waiting room with comfortable chairs and tables and nice artwork. Large shade structure outside with clean comfortable chairs and a table. My appointment began right on time which is important to me because its long drive back to Port Orford. Receptionist very pleasant and helpful. Cars entire cabin was disinfected upon arrival, seat was protected, entire cabin was vacuumed and cleaned again before returning it to me. Some young guy named Tom went over the costs with me thoroughly prior to the work and then carefully explained the warranty and other information when it was done. Extremely thorough safety checklist performed at no cost with a complete write-up for us so we can tend to items that need attention. Finally, much to my surprise, when I started to write my review, I discovered that the young guy who took care of me is actually the owner.Fantastic service.
Best service I’ve ever received! Offered a ride home (both times I went there) and gave a gift and thank you card. Truly wonderful people dedicated to providing a phenomenal service.
There are better companies in town to get services from. These guys are a joke, they over book clients then blame outside vendors for not receiving parts, while your car sits for weeks. They over charge for parts and labor. When the owner of the company refuses to talk with a angry customer, you know there is a problem.
May do excellent work, but when a consumer is looking to do an upgrade on his vehicle and the shop quotes you an amount equal to the value of the vehicle, only a fool has the work done. Need someone to open an exhaust shop and charge reasonable prices and get the business that others have turned away and laugh all the way to the bank !!
Great experience! Rachel is absolutely the best! She made sure everything was taken care of in a timely matter for a very reasonable price. I will definately come back here next time I need repairs.
Its a good place to be here with the people who really care about you.
I took my car into Toms after taking it to a different shop 3 times and I was still having problems with it. They were very professional and kind! They helped figure out what was wrong with my car, and even though I didn’t get the work done( just getting a new car instead) because it wouldn’t be worth it in my situation. I will definitely be bringing my new car to Toms when I need work done. They are amazing.
Not a great first impression, however after having a very delightful conversation with the owner I will absolutely be back in the future. His customer service was way above and beyond and needless to say I was so impressed and will be recommending toms to everyone.
Very helpful, but they do not do chassis work .
While on an extended road trip, I had to replace a clutch and 4 shocks, on a Jeep Wrangler. Tom and crew did an outstanding job. This may be the best independent shop I have ever used.Great job...and thanks for your outstanding service!!!
***Wow***Its been a long time since Ive had a shop,be so detailed and professional!! I immediately made an appointment for my other vehicle. Pricing was up front and fair! you pay for what you get,Right? This is Top Notch Garage!!! Thanks again!!
Tom and his fantastic crew put finishing touches on our 67 Camaro like an aluminum radiator, gauge cluster, Magnaflow exhaust, BFG tires, and many tweaks fixing my weekend warrior mistakes. I was under the gun to get it running to drive down to Hot August Nights in Reno after it had last been down there in 1991 and had not been on the road for 10 years. Needless to say with only 5 days of testing before we had to leave, our beauty safely and thrillingly got us down and back. We put 1,500 miles on the Camaro up to Tahoe, around through Virginia City, and several cruises in Reno in heat averaging 95 degrees and the gauges never left the green. Thank you Tom and Chris! PS to Tom - you were right - white walls out on the BFG’s was the right call.
I had a nail thru my tire, (more like a bolt) that was not fixable. My car has specialty tires that had to be ordered. They were great, ordered the tires for me, went above and beyond in kindness, left me a bag of goodies in my car afterwards and mailed me a personalized thank you card. They really worked hard to earn my business and I appreciate that. Well done!
They are very family friendly and they take very good care of us everytime we come in. I love being able to support their family business rather than a chain auto shop.
Fantastic professional service. They even offer shuttle service to get you home instead of having to wait.
Toms Bulldog Automotive is a honest and an excellent place for any type of work on your vehicle. They went beyond what I had expected. Welcoming and honest local business in Coos Bay.
Your not gonna find a better automotive place in the area. They go above and beyond any normal mechanics. Ive ran into delays with my car, and realized they take theyre time in going over everything to make sure YOU the customer understands the vehicle. Cant say Ive been impressed with a mechanics business quite like this, one of a kind and the customer service is outstanding. Thank you to the team!
I have been taking my vehicles here for about 7 years for all of my service and repairs and they have never let me down. They are transparent and have fair prices as well.Everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and helpful. I cant imagine going anywhere else.
Caring, dependable staff. Very good service.
So I had made a very negative post about this company as being a first time customer. I wasnt happy with that happened. They had reached out to me non stop to make it right. They reimbursed me for what services were done replacing my transmission and tom the owner was still very nice even considering the choice words I had against the shop. Regardless of how bad I bashed them they were still extremely professional with me and still fought to help me when I needed it. So I had one bad experience. Stuff happens. I get it. Well my brand new transmission ended up going out just 2 months after being installed so I contacted toms again and asked if it was still under warranty. Even tho they had every reason to not service my truck as the warranty could be used nation wide. They still took my truck in, inspected it, replaced it with another brand new one. Didnt just put a band aid on it. It took 2 weeks for the transmission company to build another one and as soon as it arrived they put it in my truck. The warranty company was putting up an argument for warranting out the labor and some other stuff and it coukd have ended up costing me well over 2k still. When I showed up to recieve my truck, Tom personally handed me the keys and said do not worry about the remaining balance, your truck is covered. I was a little shocked especially after bad mouthing the company all over the place. Thank you toms for making things right, and going above expectations to get this thing back on the road so fast. This truck is my baby. I will definitely try them out again.
We are very happy with the service here at Toms Bulldog. We got a great price on tires.
Just wanted to thank you for getting me in with no notice and getting my truck repaired as I was on vacation from californiaYou guys do excellent work at a acceptable priceI recommend Toms for your automotive repairs
Tom’s Automotive and Tire came to the rescue!!! I was in desperate need of tire service, I contacted Austin at their office and he was very patient and understanding of what I needed, the price they quoted me was very fair, no gimmicks, no hidden cost. When the time came for me to take my tires in Tom helped me check in and also unload my wheels and tires, he was pleasant, professional and very friendly.I would recommend this shop to everyone and I will definitely do business with them again!!!
Very good service
An incredible business that shows they care about their customers. They will go out of their way to show compassion and guarantee a job is done correctly at the owners convenience. Other businesses should take notes.
Toms Bulldog Automotive are very thorough. They make sure that you are driving in a safe vehicle and get their jobs done efficiently and quickly.
Toms Bulldog has great service from start to finish. They communicate well with the customer all through the process including the costs associated with any recommended service. Their repairs are solid and they stand behind them. I love the safety inspections and the email reminders when service is due. They are the only shop I know of in the area that services wheelchair lifts.Toms Bulldog Automotive works tirelessly to find the problem behind that clanking noise that stops as soon as the vehicle is brought into the shop.
Tom is a great owner to a family name. I am thankful that they fixed a minor grinding that was mistaken for something major and didnt jump to conclusions as I did. Honesty and integrity go a long way in this town and it seems this place has both of those.
The customer service and work are always outstanding. I decided to go with full synthetic oil which extended my oil change to every 5000 miles. Toms suggested and I had the same idea of aligning my tire rotation (also bought at Toms, great service with tires too!) and oil change interval. Easier for them and me. Of course they do a very thorough inspection at every oil change and let you know what items will need service in the future so no surprises like suddenly something you hadnt planned on needs fixing. Makes my life easier knowing what is ahead.
If you want quality care, outstanding service and true concern for you and your families safety. Toms Bulldog Automotive, is the go to place. My car died, Tom gave me a loaner car, told me to go find a car. I havent bought a car for about 20 years. Came back to Toms said it was overwhelming Id take a cab. Tom said hang on to the loaner, you need a car. Tom got on line found a car for me. Beautiful low mileage. Took me to see the car. It was like new. He checked it out, well cared for was a good car for me. So happy. Toms Bulldog will always do the best he can do for you. Ethical, and careing Quality Care. I know I can always Trust Toms Bulldog Automotive. As far as Im concerned Toms will always be my car doctor.
Even my handy husband was concerned when we discovered that our Honda Odyssey had an oil leak coming from the engine. We immediately took it in to Tom and his team. They explained how they would clean things up and then dye the oil to find out where the link was coming from. We were relieved to find out it was just because a new seal was needed! And even more thankful when they discovered another urgent issue—an older rubber hose had frayed and needed to be replaced ASAP! They were thorough and meticulous. We received a “health check report” for all the systems of the van, along with pictures. Impressive!! When it came time to pay, there were no surprises. We felt they were more than fair. They even left a little goody bag in the van when we picked it up! I cannot recommend this shop highly enough!! If you want a shop that will take incredible care of your vehicle and treat you fairly too, Tom’s Bulldog is the place for you!!
I found out about Tom’s when looking for a new shop to install some tires. I was happy to learn that in addition to being able to mount my tires, Tom’s recently got into the tire business and is selling many makes of tires. Although I already had tires, I would consider buying from them in the future as their prices are competitive and their service is unmatched. When I showed up for my appointment, I was greeted like family. I have a modified vehicle that I hesitate to let other work on, but they took great care of my car! I also got an alignment on their state of the art, digital, four wheel rack. Even though my car is lowered, they had no problem getting it on the rack. Price for the alignment and tire mounting was less than I anticipated! The complementary full vehicle digital inspection is also a nice touch. They provide an email with high resolution pictures of all your car’s critical components and fluid conditions.I’d recommend Tom’s to anyone that appreciates knowledgeable technicians, value, and impeccable customer service!
Superb all the way around. Really impressed with the cleanliness of the office and all the comforts that abound from the living room like waiting area to the fully stocked play area for the young ones. KC was my point man who guided me through everything with total professionalism and the assigned mechanic did a complete physical, with pictures. on my 2005 Pontiac Aztek so we can address the different problem areas that need to be done to keep me on the road. Happy to find a mechanic that not only stand behind their work but, provides warranties for years to come.
Quality of service was the best Ive ever received from a mechanic. The office is clean and provides a friendly and efficient environment. When I dropped my car off on my way to work I was offered a ride into town and picked up at the time I requested for a ride back. I received a free safety inspection with pictures that allowed me to determine if anything else needed to be fixed on my car, and there was no pressure to have the recommended services performed, just some education on what was most important and why. I was contacted with updates throughout the day and I received accurate estimates for the work to be performed and the final price was the same as the estimate. The prices were fair or better than other estimates I had received. When I got into my fixed car to drive home I found the interior had been vacuumed and I had a thank you card and some treats sitting on my center console, the popcorn was excellent! Services I had performed included new tires, alignment, new belts, welded exhaust pipes that had corroded due to rust, and Ive taken my car in for brakes in the past. I have not had any recurring issues with the services performed, everything has remained in working order and I will certainly be back for all future services needed on mine and my wifes cars.
Tom’s Bulldog Automotive is a great shop and the care they have for their customers is second to none, they are very personable and friendly.I found Tom’s Bulldog Automotive when my car broke down while I was on a trip up the Oregon coast with one of my friends. After doing their very thorough inspection of my car they figured out that my car’s alternator was broken, it had an oil leak, and a couple other odds and ends. Once the inspection was done they walked me through the entire inspection, which had pictures and descriptions of what the mechanic saw and it included the mechanic’s thoughts on what needed to be fixed immediately and what could wait. Tom did a great job of explaining all of this to me and he didn’t pressure me to fix anything that wasn’t absolutely necessary. So after discussing what my car needed i decided to have them fix the alternator and the oil leak. Unfortunately they did not have any alternators in stock for my car and getting stuck in Coos Bay definitely wasn’t on our trip itinerary so Tom worked with enterprise to get us into a rental car as fast as he could so we could continue our trip and try to salvage what limited time we had left on our long weekend. Tom’s Bulldog Automotive also worked with me and allowed me to pick up my car after they closed so we could maximize our time traveling the coast. When I came back to Coos Bay to pick up my car I was presently surprised that they had vacuumed my car and left us a goodie bag of snacks for our journey back home to California. Overall getting my car serviced at Tom’s Bulldog Automotive was one of the best mechanic shop experiences I have ever had because you can just tell that they care about their customers.I feel that they went above and beyond what they were required to do and I really appreciated that.
Had to have my tire repaired because of a self-tapping getting stuck in it. My service advisor was great about getting done. Also found out that the last time I was in that the advisor neglected to infirm me that the replacement tire needed to have the warranty purchased for the new tire and the young man helped me this time did a great job making that happen without it costing anything.
My car shut down completely and I had to be towed to Toms. The crew at Toms Bulldog Automotive were great. They listened and then checked out the car. Figured out what was wrong and also gave the car a checkup. I am very happy having Toms be my mechanic of choice.
Excellent service. Tom and team made a great effort to keep our vacation going!
I’d call around to other shops before coming here. There prices are outrageous. First off it was 135$ just to look at my truck. And all they did was tell me what I already knew. Then they wanted 500$ to change the spark plugs. Really? And I don’t have any special plugs just basic ones. I called other shops around town and most of them where a quarter of the price. Guys in the office have the used car salesmen feel. With there Sunday best on and convincing words, No thanks
I needed new tires for my camping trailer. As they are specialized tires, I wasnt certain they would have them in stock and I was correct. However, the tires were ordered and mounted within 24 hours. I paid a fair price for them. I usually purchase tires from one of Toms competitors that advertises that they have a supermarket selection. It is nice to be able to buy from a small local business
All of my experiences at Toms Bulldog have been great. They go above and beyond to give professional service, even for problems that can be hard to track. Both K.C. and Tom have been very helpful and although these are the faces I know it seems that everyone involved has the customers interest at heart. I recommend them to everyone I know. They go above and beyond.
Great thanks to Tom and the team for fixing my car. Thanks to them I was able to drive all the way from British Columbia to California and safly back! :) Great service! Good luck in business and hope when you go for a family trip to Canada you wont forget to contact me!:)
Very professional nice people
I had an flat tire going into town from work. And they were so kind to help me.. I would highly recommend this place.. the waiting area is clean and comfortable. Service was fast and friendly...
We were on vacation when one of the pulleys holding the belts on in our truck fell off. Of course all of this happened on a Friday and the day before we were suppose to return to Idaho. They were the only repair shop willing to fix us that day. They took great care of us and our 3 dogs and got us back on the road quickly. And we highly recommend them!
Made an appointment and received both email and voice mail reminders. How handy! Brought in my car and they reviewed with me what needed to be done. Repairs were made in a timely manner and the bill was very reasonable. I will always bring my vehicles to Toms Bulldog Automotive! Their new offices are great! Even has a kids play room stocked with toys for young ones to pay with.
Spoke with Austin he was very understanding and professional made things quick and didnt try to add any extra things that my car honestly doesnt need lol so happy that my parts where ordered arrived and car was back to me in less then 4 hours plus I was given a 3 year warranty on both my parts and labor that in its self was worth my time and money thanks again Austin and all the guys at Toms bulldog automotive 💋
Toms listens to their customer feedback and makes sure you dont leave with a bad taste in your mouth, so to speak. They have competitive pricing on tires and seem to do quality work.
I spoke with April this morning. So perfectly polite and informative. Great to deal with knowledgeable friendly folks. Thank You! ~IC
Fast and very friendly staff! :)
Whew! My sisters car was making a loud roaring noise that changed in pitch with the speed of the car. We took it to a competitor that specializes in tires and wheels and they said everything checked out great. But the noise continued to be loud and worrisome so we took it to Toms. Two bad bearings replaced and the car is running sweet again. Im comfortable with her driving almost 1000 miles home. THANK YOU TOM!
Rare. This auto maintenance and repair shop conscientious and is customer first ... and, the nicest waiting area Ive seen in 55 years. They uniquely service German manufactured vehicles, too: Our Audi Q5 and BMW 320i. Thanks, TBA
The owners and crew of Bulldog Automotive went out of their way to communicate at every step of the repair process and provide full information about the condition of my car, including photographs to document whats being reported. The repair work they did was reasonable in price and done well. Having used their services a few times now, I can vouch that excellence is a consistent pattern at Toms Bulldog.
I am a new owner of an old (2002) Winnebago Vista, which is built on a VW chassis, and on my maiden voyage with my two grandsons aged 8 and 5 in the rig, we got 25 miles from home and the check engine light came on. I was so lucky to be in Coos Bay and remember an ad I had seen for Toms Bulldog Automotive, and I turned around at the corner and headed over. Tom met me at the bay and even though i was literally a drive by, he said his mechanic could check it out as soon as he came back from lunch. And thats exactly what happened. The boys and I ate lunch down the street, hung around enjoying our new rig and putting the contents into cupboards, all under the caring attention of Tom and his crew. Did I mention the bowl of chocolates in the waiting room? No, and not the extra comfy couches and the kids playroom plus immaculate restrooms. The problem was found, the parts ordered, and Tom assured me the vehicle was safe for my journey to Portland, and an appointment was set for installing the new parts when I return...with shuttle service to my home, no less. Ive found a safe haven for my little Vista and my mind. Thanks Tom!
I highly recommend Toms to have your car fixed, they are honest and dependable. The work is done in a timely manner. Everything was diagnosed and explained in a clear matter. The whole staff goes beyond the call of duty to make you feel comfortable. I feel very safe driving my car knowing that it is taken care of as if it were their own. I will not go anywhere else. I have a volkswagon and have been other places that specialize in foreign cars, they pale in comparison to Toms Bulldog Automotive. Thank you all!
What an awesome group of people and the gentlemen that worked on my car what can I say awesome mechanic.Much love and respect to Toms Bulldog Automotive. ♡
Very helpful and professional. Had a bunch of work done, & am very happy. For quality & honesty, this is the place to go.
Toms always does a great job on my Subaru. It does get expensive but it is worth the excellent work that is donre and the full testing to see what future work I could benefit from. this is where I will always have the repair and maintenance work done on my car.
Tom takes care of me every time. I am keeping a couple of older vehicles that have good bones up to date and going strong, relying on them for fun personal travel and for farm work. Tom consistently works to figure out excellent, outside-the-box long-term solutions to old troubles on my treasured farm truck, and is helping me keep my BMW Z4 zippy and happy through its long life.
Great service!
Tom was very patient helping me with financing and choosing my wheels and tires. Very professional and courteous. Would recommend them to anyone.
Tom is great. Edit: sitting in the new office now with the little ones. The play area and large waiting room is so nice compared to the old office. Very happy to see this business doing well.
Quote received when bringing the vehicle in was high, so my wife and I figured the needed repairs would be done quickly and done well. Its been more than two weeks since dropping off the vehicle for a few quick repairs and the cost of the work done is now close to $1000 more than the original quote and two of the four repairs that were supposed to be done arent. It seems all the good reviews are from around a year ago. Maybe this business has just gone downhill fast, but I wouldnt even send my worst enemy to this mechanic for a repair.I dont normally write reviews, but the experience with Toms Bulldog Automotive was bad enough I felt the need to warn others. Once we get our vehicle back, if we can, well never go anywhere near this place again.
No hidden fees, seems to very thorough work. So far I’m impressed.
They are very customer friendly and provide a drop off and pick up service which is very appreciated. Very thorough service all around.
Took my wife’s Honda Odyssey in for an oil leak I couldn’t find. They were able to find and repair it quickly and professionally. Really appreciate their care and concern for their clients!
Took my 04 PT Cruise in for some brake work. They were awesome. Took cared of the problem and in very little time. Ill bring all my vehicles here for repairs now on.
We have taken our vehicle to Toms Bulldog Automotive twice now, and both times were beyond impressed. I have never been to a mechanic as trustworthy, personable, and helpful and I will always recommend everyone to take their vehicle here! We are currently sharing one car, which means when its in the shop - lots of cab fare; however, after dropping the car off, Tom offered to take us back at home. I love the way they do their inspection review, showing things that are great, things that can wait, and things that need immediate attention - very helpful when youre on a budget! He also walked us through the entire thing, explaining everything and answering questions we had. Staff is extremely friendly and the office is always clean. Getting your car fixed can be a nightmare, but these folks make it a breeze! Definitely take your vehicle here if you want to avoid hassle and a headache!
Everyone at Bulldog is great! Theyre always friendly and helpful and theyre thorough and honest with me about my car. I also love reading their sign as I drive by.
Rotten. Absolutely the worst communication. Opaque. They say one thing and do another. Will not allow their mechanics to speak with customers, so you really never know what work is being done. Charged $3,500 for a reconditioned transmission. I paid the bill, drove away and filled the tank at the local Chevron station as usual. Within an hour discovered the truck still would not shift into 3rd gear. It was clear the problem was not fixed. I called and was told a lie by KC that there was 25% ethanol in the tank and that was why the transmission would not shift into 3rd gear . Such a transparent lie. So I brought the truck back. Then Tom said no one told me anything about ethanol being the problem - lies. it was not the same problem, but lied to me and then decided to charge another $1,200. I wanted my truck back and Tom refused! - EVEN HIDING my truck in an undisclosed location, even though I had paid him $3,500! Corrupt liars. STAY AWAY from this place.
Excellent customer service. Extortionist pricing policies
Terrific service! Not only was work on my car performed swiftly and competently as promised, but also I received free and detailed evaluations to help ensure my car keeps humming along. While waiting comfortably in the reception area, I snacked from the heaping bowl of delish chocolates, and my dog Kulu eagerly snapped up biscuit treats! Austin prepared me hot cider, and Scott provided Kulu his very own bowl of water, happily quenching his thirst from all the treats! Thanks, Toms Bulldog, for your courtesy and generosity. Kulu and I recommend your service to anybody who has an automobile. And, of course, a dog!!
Just talk to them on the phone
We had the check engine light come on last week in our RV, stopped in after reading the positive reviews online. They immediately looked up the code (it was a faulty O2 sensor) and recommended that we wait until getting back home the next week to get it repaired. This all free of charge! I highly recommend this shop and when we come back next summer if we need anything we will be sure to go back.
Excellent service on my VW Passat. Loved being able to stay in town for my servicing. Casey was great to work with.
Im from Denver and I had a torn boot on my CV joint which needed to be repaired before I got back to Denver. I called Tom and, even though he was very busy, he got my car in and fixed it immediately and also noted that the other boot on my other CV joint was beginning to rip as well so we got that repairedTom and his staff are Extremely professional and courteous and I cannot thank them enough for their fantastic work they did on my car.
Very friendly service, I was very comfortable there. They Got me in and out of the shop in a timely manner and even offered me transportation while my car was in.
A rainy mid Friday afternoon and my son was stuck in Coos Bay - at Oreillys Auto, late for a job interview. We didnt know where to turn, (me being in San Diego CA) After calling a Jiffy Lube, they recommended Toms Bulldog Auto for help. I called and spoke with an awesome gentleman named Tom. I asked if he could help us figure out if this was just a battery charge or if we needed to get the auto into his shop for repair. (I kinda expressed the desperate circumstance of my sons plight.) Tom was SUPER kind, and went the extra mile to handle the situation with OReillys and help us figure out the battery was drained because the alternator was not working. My sons interviewer came to the parking lot and my son got on the road with a new battery and alternator to head home to Myrtle Point. We are very very grateful that Tom was there to help strangers in a time of need. Its so nice to know there are people around who are so generous in word and deed. Thank you!!!
Great service. They make me feel extremely appreciated for trusting them to work on my car. Im not planning on changing automotive businesses for a very longgggg time. Tom rocks!
Good quality work
This place has gone down hill, absolute trash
Warning long review!! Let me start by saying I have major trust issues when it comes to other ppl working on my car Ive been working on vehicles since i could walk I was very hesitant to take my car in for service when I could do it myself but since I had a little extra cash I figured Id give Toms a shot they quoted me 150 for fuel filter metric motors said 115 but I already had an appointment for an oil change at Toms so I figured kill two birds with one stone the new guy bart set me up with a 9 oclock appt and said two hours tops I had an appointment in coquille where I live at 3 pm so I thought awsome Ill get some shopping done with my wife and baby so we go get groceries amongst other thing for the house when we get done about two hours later I decide to check on my car when i arrive i see the car still hasnt been touched at this point Im worried about the groceries in the truck and the cranky baby crying in the backseat I walk up to the shop to talk to the technician working on my vehicle when the new guy meets me to say what are you doing here? Did I call you?Um no but I got my shopping done figured Id stop by and see whats going on at that point he says its gonna be a little while longer ok Ill find something to do so I go to fred Meyers and get some ice for the groceries and do a little school clothes shopping for my oldest daughter killed another hour thinking to myself what the heck is taking so long its an oil change and fuel filter 1 hr job in my opinion so after killing another hour I go back again to be told again ricky hey why are you back I thought to myself um idk maybe cause you have my car here? But I explained Im waiting for my car to go home he says oh I thought you lived In coos bay i told him no i told you over the phone that Im coming from coquille he says oh your waiting in my head I though duh!! lol so we go inside fill out some papers adress etc. I go outside and sneak around to peak on my car still not being worked on I talked to the tech who says he was overbooked and didnt realize I was waiting and begins working on my car so I take the kid to get some chicken nuggets cause she was super grumpy at that point and girls love food lol we come back and 15 mins or so later and the cars still up in the air so I thought well at least were getting somewhere this was around 145pm keep in mind it was supposed to be a 2hr appointment at 9am so needless to say Im pretty upset with Toms at this point we go inside and they said it would be about 10 more minutes so 25 mins later my car is finally done me being upset at the lack of appointment management i was just ready to get the %#$& out of coos bay I was done with toms i tought to myself Im never going back there again then they showed me that they arent your average mechanic shop they did a complete free workup of my entire car even emailed it to me and were honest about everything me being a grease monkey I know my vehicles in and out they didnt try to sell me on any extra unnecessary services and even showed me pictures of all the work they did this is were they earned my trust back and I felt that the service was worth the agonizing wait with a crying baby and melting groceries that being said I will be returning to Toms I just hope next time they dont overbook themselves i really appreciated the pictures too p.s. I left coos bay around 235 and made it to my appointment in coquille at the nick of time unshowered and tired but still got the job so it all worked out for the best
Once again Toms bulldog has gone above and beyond to get my car up and running and back to me! I LOVE that they have a loaner car...my car may stop...but my life and work go on!!!
Ok ! Came in with a check engine light on ... made me pay for a stage 2 inspection that i didnt need. (Tooks 6 hours btw) Communication problem i guess. Then told me it would be a 2200$ repair or 1600$ or 1000$ or 740$Not kidding !Trying to talk advantage of foreign travelers for sure !I went to 3 others mechanics and they told me that i should just keep driving with small missfire but if i wanted a full tune up priced range between 400$ and 650$ and they did not ask for any money !Its been almost a month now (since that shop) and 3000 miles later not a single problem.I can safely say that they are real crooks and thieves at this shopNever go there ! Ever !
These guys worked with me ony bday and helped get me and my son back on the road. Awesome customer service
I love the professional, thorough job that is done everytime! You guys are the best!
Timely and thorough service! These guys are top notch!
Fast, reasonably prices for services and great results!
Over priced. Took 5 days longer than they said and my truck runs worse than when I took it there.
I had my wife take in her car to do a tuneup, $100 later they tell her it needs $1,600 worth of work. Although she asked for a tuneup, all they did was an inspection. They actually took out the spark plugs and checked the gap, then put them right back in. Didnt even adjust the gap on the plugs, just noted that they were off. Paid $100 for something I already knew. What a joke!
I will always take my car to them to be fixed and they let yöu know what needs to be fixed now and what can wait. That is what I like about Toms Bulldog Automotive
Very conscientious about his business
I was quoted a ridiculous amount for a part that should of only been 1/3 of what he wanted. Ill just leave it at that...
I was told the price for the Plug and coils was to be just about $500 burt I got both sets for less than $180 online. Thats a 150% mark up. I expected 20 to 40%, Toms mark up is robbery. I didnt even get to the labor cost for the 15min task of change them.
Very informative and helpful
