I called and set up an appointment and they were at my house the same day. Showed up on time and ready to go. Repaired my ac unit quickly and efficiently. The total cost of the service call and repair was less than just a service call from a few of their “bigger” competitors in town. Would highly recommend.

VHAC is the best in the business. The employees are amazing. It took VHAC 15 minutes to locate the cause of my problem which a competitor missed over four visits to my home. Best of all they listened to my explanation of the problems that I had, allowed me to ask questions, and gave me honest answers. Ultimately, I had to replace my HVAC unit. VHAC did not try to sale me a product that was more than I needed. The sales staff explained my options and the related cost and allowed me to select the product that met my budget and the needs of my home. I will NEVER use another HVAC company.

I needed to replace an old unit and got three quotes on a new one. Volunteer gave me a very detailed quote including measuring my house and windows to see what size unit would be best and not just replacing exactly what my old unit was. They were here to install when they said they would be even though it was raining. Very pleased with the customer service!

After reading some of these reviews, it seems were talking about two different companies. My experience with this team has been excellent. Our system was nearly 10 years old when we bought the home. The age suggested it was nearing the end of its expected longevity, so I contracted with Volunteer for routine maintenance. Always prompt, always courteous. A breakdown on a Saturday night in the heat of summer, and they were here until after 11:00 at night getting us going again. And yes, I paid a bit extra for the call, but thats to be expected. Now our system is 13 years old and I had TVA E-Score do an audit. Based on their report, I asked Volunteer for a quote to replace the ducting and package heat pump. Scotty was here on time, measured our home, went into the crawl space to evaluate the existing duct system, found it to be poorly designed and installed, described several options and explained the benefits of each option.Got my quote today and it is right in the ballpark of my expectations. Going to have them replace the whole system as soon as the weather moderates.

The beginning of last year our hvac unit stopped working . We were paying one hour heating and cooling annually for their services and maintenance. One hour told us that we needed a new unit and that it would cost over 7,000.00 for unit and install . I decided to shop around and called volunteer heating and cooling of Cookeville . They came right away and inspected the old unit and fixed it ! Instead of replacing the unit and having to spending big bucks volunteer kept it running with just the cost of a part . Needless to say we canceled with one hour heating and started with volunteer. Well unfortunately recently our unit went out. Figures it was right when we needed it most . Anyway, we called volunteer and they came right away assessed the old unit, determined it finally had its day and needed to be replaced . They came right away with a new unit and installed it at a lower price we saved over 1,000 dollars . We are happy with volunteer heating and cooling . I highly recommended this co. The employees and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks volunteer!!

I just had them come out to make shure my stuff was working right. As far as that goes it was a 5star experience, but having me do this review thing kinda drops it down to 4 for me. If and when i find good buisness i always tell others the old fashioned way ... i talk to them :)

Fan stop working Friday night,left a message and l got a call Monday at 8 am and by 8:20 l had the the repair guys working on the unit very courteous very efficient and working in the rain they did a very good job l am very satisfied will call them again and very highly recommend it.

Called on Monday requesting someone come to our house to quote a new unit as we already knew our unit had lived a good life but was gone! Ronnie came same day to look over the unit and house and provided four options/quotes the same day. He was super nice and was available to answer questions my husband had and we decided on a unit. It was ordered and they fit us in their busy schedule for an installation by Friday. The guys doing the installation were professional and friendly. Later in the day we received a call making sure everything was working and our house was cooling down. My new American Standard unit is very quiet and literally cooled our house down overnight. Very happy we called them and would recommend them to anyone in need of a HVAC unit.

Great customer service, goes the extra mile. I had a plumbing problem that had nothing to do with the new heat pump that Volunteer installed. They came out and checked the system. They had done everything perfect and even suggested what the plumbing problem might be and they were right. In summary they back their equipment 100% and their staff are professional and courteous.

The staff at Volunteer have always been great to work with- professional, punctual, polite and knowledgeable.

Great folks to deal with, rapid reply to initial call, all service has been on time and very professional. I have the service contract for my equipment and they insure my equipment stays running very efficiently.

Very happy with my service. I got lucky when I called because they had a technician waiting to be dispatched. By the time I called and the job was completed was around 30-45 mins. The technician was kind and respectful. Living in the Upper Cumberland I know who I will call for my heating and cooling needs from now on and that is Volunteer Heating & Cooling.

Only had our brand new unit 13 months and it stopped working. Was told by the man that only thing we will pay for is the labor to fix it everything else is free. He called office asked for a price estimate and I was told it should be no more than 108 dollars and should be less thar 3 hours to fix. When i go to pay I am told it 225 and charged for time that they werent even there. On top they lied about how much it would cost. And they unit shouldnt be messed up so quickly so technically should be free since they sell bad units. Stop lying to your customers and trying to charge them more money for time your workers werent even at the job site. And dont install units that cant even last but a year pathetic. Oh and when you installed the unit a year ago destroyed our yard and left holes all over but didnt offer to fix that. Also you used my electric for free what about my electric bill you added too.

Building a new house, was looking for a HVAC company to go with boy did I pick the wrong company...The ruff in of the house went terrible, bunch of young kids not knowing what they were doing, no one had any experience forgot to run the thermostat wire on ruff in so they run it through the air return....After the ruff in had the second crew come out yet again dont know whats going on or what they are doing. Guy wanted to run the second thermostat line in the closet and come through the ceiling into the attic. Yeah right....... NoThis is a 350k house and Im going to have a wire ran in the bathroom closet. So I ran the wire through the wall my self the guy was going to drill down from attic I followed him up there good thing I did he was going to drill through the drywall, I asked him if he ever ran wire before said no.Im very up set with this company and will not be recommending them to anyone.For the price I am paying I expect professionalism not amateurs!!!

Volunteer Heat & cooling is a great company me and my husband are very satisfied with them. I contacted them about a hvac system for are home. Scott came out and done the easement. And got back to us right away from there Becky in the office got the ball rolling, their crew came out and changed out our old furnace with the new Hvac system and new ducting, they all are great to work with and very helpful. Terrible, lied about the price came with a $150 extra quote then talked about. Charged double what he said. Not friendly learned my lesson Tried to steal time from his employee. Bad service go else were.
