Helpful staff, Avis offers a lot of options and extras for your rental, and they got extremely nice vehicles, latest models. Highly recommend the Conroe branch.

Susan and RG, I thank you for your time and assistance with this matter. Thank you 😊When I made the reservation, I asked if it would be possible to rent a vehicle from the Conroe location and return it to the Houston Hobby airport. I was told that this would not be a problem and it was put on my rental agreement where I would be picking up (Conroe) and where I would be returning (Airport Boulevard). I also told them when our flight was and when I would be returning the car (Sept. 5 at 3pm). I was quoted the price of $197; I ended up getting the additional insurance for a total quote of $283.48. I didn’t have any issues until the final payment when they charged me $403.05. I was told that I was charged this higher amount because I returned it to a different location. I told them that it’s in my original agreement that that was the location I would be returning to and if there was an additional charge, they needed to disclose that prior to my renting the vehicle. I was then told that the additional charge was because I dropped the vehicle off an hour later (I didn’t realize at the time the rental agreement said drop off at 1:50, but I had told them I would drop it off at 3. I ended up dropping off the car at 2:49.) to which I responded that I had told the original location when our flight was and when I would be returning the vehicle. I was told that I was charged $116 for the insurance and $60 for the additional one hour time. I asked why was I charged $116 for insurance for an hour when I was paying $39 per day. The sketchy charges upon return of the vehicle is why I will not be renting from this company again. You need to be upfront about the rental costs when somebody is renting a vehicle from you especially when they are upfront about when they will be renting and where they will be returning. We now have family in that area and will be visiting often, but we will not be renting from here again.

I rented a car through them for 3 weeks. It was hassle free for me having an out of state ID they didn’t need a credit card like enterprise did. I was able to pay with debit card.

The Customer Service agent at the Conroe location provided some of the best customer service experience I have ever encountered. I believe her name was Bonnie. She deserves a raise and a promotion. Truly Disney level customer service. Would definitely recommend people go to her.

Horrible service, customer service was poor, unacceptable and car was completely filthy! I contacted Ashton and was told that they dont check the car to ensure all safety equipment is in car such as spare tire & tools to change a flat which is a lie. when asked for the the district manager name & phone number due to her incompetency was told manager would be in tomorrow which was not my question. I then repeated my question of whats the DM name was told Bonnie? I then stated whats Bonnies last name and then was given Bonnie Wright (not sure if thats correct either)...Ashton had a complete attitude and delivered poor customer service. DONT EVER RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!

The lady working the counter was extremely rude and unprofessional. We made a reservation, and my wife called in advance to ensure everything was okay. We were treated with a lot of attitude upon trying to pick up the vehicle. Absolutely will not be using AVIS in the future, and I will ensure that no one I know goes to this location.

I used to live in Conroe and moved about 25 minutes away. I live by and pass up quite a few car rental places to get to Bonnie. Shes, by far, the most genuine representative Ive ever met. She always gets you the best deals she can and she will entertain you with genuine conversation while you wait. Thanks for making renting a car so easy Bonnie!

Amazing customer service! I called them in an emergency looking for a passenger van as my previous reservation with enterprise had unexpectedly fell through 2 days before my trip. Ashley was amazing and constantly reassured me that the reservation was good. She contacted me as soon as the van was available for pick up, which was earlier than I had expected. I will definitely be returning for future rentals. Below is my unexpected canceled reservation through Enterprise and how Avis car rental really helped me out:In April I went to the Lufkin location to reserve a 15 passenger van for a trip that I would be taking in June. I called several times to reconfirm the reservation, even went back to the location a week before my trip to add an additional drive and reconfirm that the van would be there for me to pick up. I was reassured that everything was good to go. I called the location 2 days before my trip to see what time I could pick up the van and was told they do not get vans in and that I would need to go to the Nacogdoches location and get the van, but Nacogdoches was unaware of the reservation and had no vans available (understandable as it is peek season and the reservation wasn’t made through them). The Lufkin location basically tried to push the reservation off on the Nacogdoches location. I contacted customer service to try and have the situation resolved and was told that my complaint was marked as urgent and I would hear back that day, here it is 2 days AFTER my reserved pick up day and haven’t heard back from anyone from Enterprise. Thankfully AVIS in Conroe was able to get me and my family into a passenger van at a much cheaper rate.

Easy rental process thru App. Quick pickup. Cars are nice and clean. If you rent often reward points cone in handy and are easy to apply on the app when you reserve. Definitely will and often do rent cars at the Conroe location.

When I picked up the vehicle it was disgusting. It had not been cleaned in a long time. There was dried chewing tobacco smeared on the door and upholstery. The car smelled of stale cigarettes and it had filth all across the dash. Disgusting at best but with COVID19 absolutely horrific. I will never, ever use Avis again not will I recommend them to anyone. I’m terrified my family has been exposed to God knows what. I asked for a different vehicle and was treated as though I was asking for the moon. Never, ever, ever again.

There customer service in Conroe is at the top of the class. They are unbelievable good at what they do.

Our local avis has always been the best places to rent a vehicle. From the customer service to price options. They do not ask you to bring in pay statements or give you the run around like some others do. Checkin and checkout is quick easy and painless. We get on the road quickly without the hassle.

My boyfriend and I PREPAID for a car to take a weekend trip. When we got there it was only then that we were notified they needed a major credit card and an ADDITIONAL 100 dollars to hold the car that we were there to pick up. Again, we PREPAID...he booked the car through the website on his phone and never saw anything about a soft credit check nor the 100 dollar hold. (He is not only frugal but reads EVERYTHING). The lady behind the counter argued with us that this has been the policy for 25 years, and instead of OFFERING to contact corporate to see if they would allow the rental without the credit card since it was prepaid (he doesnt own any credit cards), she told us to call.He attempted THREE times, and was put on hold a minimum of 45 minutes at one point. The first try they said they would get the supervisor on the line, second time he was told there was an emergency and to call back in half an hour. When he finally got hold of someone, they said they would refund the money in 3 to 5 business days. This now meant that we lost the ability to travel to where we were going as we couldnt rent another car due to the money for one being tied up in this rental. Secondly, the money for preparation was wasted as we are now unable to go due to all of this. Very unprofessional all around. Both my boyfriend (whose family owns and operates a successful business) and myself are disgusted at how this was all handled.I am new to Texas, having moved here from Massachusetts and I have rented several times up North and NEVER ran into an issue like this. If a customer PREPAYS then it means just that. It is PREPAID. Running a soft credit check is a moot point after they paid. Secondly, how it was handled all across the board was very unprofessional. We were fine with the 100 dollar holding fee to be refunded after the return. We understood that. BUT...to ARGUE with a customer that states he did not see anything about needing a major credit card, is ludicrous. You have permanently lost a customer. Make that SEVERAL, as you can be certain we will warn people how business is done there.

Absolutely BEST PLACE IN CONROE, TEXAS TO RENT A VEHICLE SHORT TERM OR LONG TERM. Bonnie is always there or Ashton and they bed over backwards to accommodate all!!!!! I highly suggest using them for your vehicle rental needs!
