Took my car in and they fixed one issue and did. a good job. But shortly after had to come back in and I showed up at 8am and had a few cars ahead of me. Apparently it’s “First come first serve” and had a guy come in after me and get his car worked on before mine. Waited all day just to get told they couldn’t fix my problem. Went to another shop and my problem was a minor convenience and was fixed in two hours.

Took a week to get my truck back with no call backs to let me know what was going on. But friendly fokes and did fix my ford f 150 and not to pricey. So all in all a ok job.

Conroes Choice is my go-to automotive place. Its not some fancy jazzed-out joint where everything is pristine - but that stuff doesnt matter to me. The mechanics are honest, down to earth, reliable and affordable.Give them a try, Ive used them for 3 or 4 different occasions.

I highly recommend conros choice highly better than anybody Ive ever went to I will take it there if I lived in Colorado

Keri, the owner is unbelievably, AMAZING!Hands down the best customer service Ive seen in years! I had an appt with them, but ended up stuck in traffic. By the time I made it there, it was past their business hours and technically they were closed. Keri, told me not to stress, they would still help me and she was so polite and youd have never known, she was there on her time off. She previously has also took it upon herself to get in touch with a product manufacturer, for me, when it had NOTHING to do with her shop! Was completely not her problem or anything I got from her shop! I was getting the run around and when she heard what I was dealing with, she took me in her office and made some calls herself, and got my problem resolved SAME day! And for that, I will always give my business to Conroe Choice Automotive!!Thank you again Keri!

Scheduled appointment, then told me I needed to reschedule, that was after he put me on hold to talk with a woman that JUST walked in about her car. I WAS ON HOLD FOR 11 MINS listening to her talk about the noise coming from her car! Ridiculous

Gene is the GREATEST mechanic Ive ever known. Weve used Conroes Choice for almost 2 decades, and he and his crew never disappoint, always fix the problem, and dont toss in unnecessary repairs. Sometimes theres a wait, but thats only because they have a ton of customers who trust them, so theres hardly an empty bay. State inspections, oil changes, transmission and engine repairs, brake jobs, and part replacements - weve had them do it all.

They did an okay job, and the experience was average. But we asked them to call with a quote before they started work on the car, and they didnt do that. They started work on the car without calling us first. We probably wont be back.

My car had been having trouble starting for a few weeks. Being a young mom of an infant I didnt have time or money to figure out what was wrong... long story short, I drove my car to the auto zone right across the street and they had me shut it off after I told them that the car would not start if it did. I had my daughter with me too. They told me to shut it off anyways. After that they told me to crank it until smoke came out from under the hood... needless to say, it was effed after that. I was referred to this place by a passerby. I walked over there with my daughter and they pushed it over and looked at it for me right then. They told me the starter was messed up. Okay lets fix that. They fixed it and called and said it still wont start do you want us to keep looking for problems, Yes! Turns out auto zone fried my alternator when they made me crank it till it smoked! They diagnosed and fixed it in a matter of 4 hours! No scheduling, no waiting, nothing. Paid a VERY reasonable amount too. Will always be coming back here for all my mechanic needs!

Im honestly in disbelief over the one star reviews and calling Gene out by name. He actually went above customer service and drove me and my infant son home cause the repairs being made were gonna take over 3 hours. Weve been coming here for years over various thing that comes up when a car gets old and theyve always had fair pricing and great customer service with free estimates and options. They have always been able to speak to me on my level when my face starts to look lost on something that needs to be done and how to repair it. Theyre has been a time or two weve had to come in with a specific budget before they even looked at what was wrong and they have ALWAYS been able to work with us. They also gaurantee their work!

They were SO RUDE. I am normally a very understanding person, but not in this case. Only one lady is qualified to do what needed to be done to my car and she asked me to go in before I had class which is what I did. When I showed up at 9 a.m she was not there and I was told she would be another hour due to the bad weather (understandable). I came back after my class at 3:30 and was told she never showed up. I never received a phone call or any form of communication informing me of her non-arrival even after informing them my class ended at 3. I was frustrated, as any normal person would be, and the male I spoke with was rude. It is something that had to be done that day and they knew that. Very poor communication on their part and very poor service. Needless to say, I took my vehicle elsewhere.

I am relatively new in town. I own four vehicles and was worried about getting a good mechanic I could count on. I make sure that all of my vehicles are maintained and in top condition. I was pleasantly suprised when I drove up to Conroes Choice automotive and talked to Gene. He is an honest, good mechanic and runs a disciplined team of professionals. I had a lot of work for him and he took care of all of my issues, some major, some not. He fixes the problem and does not try to extract money from folks by simply replacing entire components. If he makes a mistake he owns it and fixes it for free. He stays in good humor and is a true professional. I hope he can fix boat motors as well as he can my vehicles. I suspect he can. Im glad I found them.

Most honest repair shop we have been to in a long time. They have helped with several of our vehicles issues. And these guys really know their stuff, like a common problem for an uncommon car. They seem to have all these car quirks memorized. They ask questions about your car and once told us NOT to get a $300 service because of the age of the vehicle and maintenance history. They said the flush would do more harm than good. The guys explain everything also. In two words: trustworthy and knowledgeable.

I am not a fan.. charged me $100 for an alignment and did nothing to my truck. These people use scare tactics in place of knowledge and skill. Scam artists in my opinion- beware.

I went in after hours because my headlight went out on my truck. They were nice enough to not turn me away even though they were closed and the head mechanic replaced my headlight at a good price. This is how you go above and beyond for your customers!! I will be back.

I took my car in fearing the worst. They were very professional & assured me that they would do everything to help identify the problem. Gene the owner let me know what he felt was the issue & gave me an estimate. When I went to pickup the car they had found another issue & fixed it along with the original problem. It was only a few dollars more & Gene let me know that if I had any further issues in the next week to bring my car back & he would look at it free of charge. My car is running fantastic since they worked on it & I will be bring my car back for any future issues. I recommend them to anyone in the Conroe area.

I will give 1 star, but only because I think I have to. They did a bait and switch on my wife for some rear brakes, then charged her double what they quoted. Very sad and wish we would have waited and used a different place. Dont use Gene and his shop.
