We hired Sal and his crew after an uneducated DIY door installation didn’t go so well. They came out within two days of us calling, completed the work in a timely manner, and did a great job with everything. The crew was super friendly and professional. Sal was on time for estimate and gave us a quote and timeframe for replacing a double door at my daughters house. Unfortunately the store somehow lost the door and we had to wait several more days before Sal could install. When he was able to get the window, he was there on time and they quickly completed the install. I am pleased with his work and will use him again.

My experience with Sal contractor was always something I had been looking for. My past experience with half#!::;% contractors was a nightmare after nightmare. They would give me an estimate but not finish the work. Overcharging and still asking for more even when the job was not complete. Sometimes the jobs look like I did them myself( I have no experience in carpentry). Sals estimate and arriving to do the job was right on time. He looked my in the eye when he told me what had to be done. Very professional and honest. I know I didnt count the money and gave him too much. He corrected me. His work on my window was do nice. I will be asking him to do some more work for me in the near future. Recommend him to friends and family.

We needed work on our garage and chimney to fix rotted wood, frame, and pediment. We got Sals Contracting from Angies List. He came out and assessed the garage only. Never looked at the chimney. Gave us a quote for both. He was arrogant and told us hes more exacting than others and their work dont live up to his standards. He gave us a quote and demanded 1/2 up front by a certain date before work is started. We agreed to proceed. Weeks goes by and we dont hear from him. We contacted him and he reported he was busy. We waited and contacted again. This time he said he didnt have a crew. He wasted 2 months of our time waiting on him. If you didnt want the work, dont waste my time with stupid excuses. Be a man and say so up front.

My husband saw Sal’s work at another property and thought it looked professional. His rates lead us to believe we too would get a professional looking bathroom. We hired him to replace the bathtub, tub surround, vanity, sink, plumbing, level the floor and place floor tiles. The results were very poor and we are extremely disappointed. One side of the surround was flush to the wall and the other side was not. Sal agreed the tub surround was unacceptable and had the installer “fix it”. However, one side is still askew. It looks like someone with very little experience worked with the joint compound on the drywall. The vanity faucet we provided disappeared. The floor still isn’t level and the tiles have gaps in between. The workers did not clean up. The job took 7 weeks-not completed on time. It was clear Sal was not supervising this job. Very, very disappointed. We will not be using Sal again.

Came to my home to take measurements, went on vacation, and never got back to me with quote. I did reach out to him several times. He responded to first few emails and then stopped responding even after I told him that I wanted him to do the work. Very disappointed as he seemed like a nice guy.

He is punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. He works very fast. Pricing is fair for the quality of work. Plus hes a nice guy! You can have faith in his quality workmanship.

Sal was easy to work with, and I appreciated the efforts he made to stay in communication throughout the project whenever issues came up or when he anticipated some problems. During the project he also gave some ideas without being pushy, and I think we ended up with a better result than what our original plans were.Update: Due to having to wait on another contractor helping me, Sal had to come back and finish a few items. He was easy to work with on this as well. He made time to get my project finished, even as busy as he was and he went out of his way to make it happen. I would use him on our next project for sure.
