I have a stubborn model Volkswagen jetta. And Gary and Todds crew took it head on and did a great job. They never once added any parts I didnt need or do any anything extra to the car without asking. I went for spark plugs and wires. When the started that. The technician noticed I needed a oil change. So they called and informed me that it needed to be done. I felt I couldve said no and they would have still given me the same amazing service. I will definitely be returning in the future.
I come to this garage once a year for my inspection, the staff still make me feel like someone that comes in all the time. The staff are professional, friendly people who do honest work and give you fair options as to what needs to be done. If you value the local sense of community that honest small businesses bring you shouldnt go anywhere else.

I loved my mechanic in Dover, NH, then moved to Puerto Rico for 3 years which was an absolute you-know-what show with all things car-related, so when I recently moved back to the states (to Concord) and inherited my mom’s 2011 Mercury Mariner after it sitting, undriven, for five years, I was like “Yeesh. This could be a nightmare”. I’m so glad I found Garry’s. They are truly awesome. They thoroughly inspected it, did some exhaust work, and made a few other suggestions that would be prudent but are not pressing, and they didn’t try to upsell or push me at all. I really appreciate that. As a person who is not a mechanic, I have to trust that they’re telling it like it is and being fair (same way you have to trust your doctor or veterinarian). I definitely feel I got that from the guys at Garry’s. I hope the car doesn’t need anything for a while, but if/when it does, I am 100% confident going back. Thank you!
I will NEVER go to my local Mercedes dealer again! Garry’s, much like my own business, as been around for a long time and the customer service shows! They were gracious, accommodating, and got me set up to have my Command System replaced in the spring. Todd in particular was outstanding! My old 2007 CLK550 was treated as if it came new off the lot! I’m very much looking forward to going back to them next year. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!

This service shop is incredible! They were suggested to me when I called the Hyndai dealership, as this is where the dealership directs their overflow and I had expressed a concern with the overall cost. The labor charges at Garry’s are more reasonable, while the technicians are equally (possibly even more so) knowledgeable. They were quick to diagnose the issue and repair it. They were honest in letting me know about other problems, as well as holding off on any additional repairs because they did not want me to pay for anything that I might decide was not worth it. Even though I okayed the additional repair (which was the timing belt) they told me there is rust under there which will not pass inspection. Instead of investing in the belt, they suggested I have the rust damage assessed first and then decide if I would like to proceed with the belt replacement. Their honesty and transparency is top notch. Don’t look any further, Garry’s is the answer to your car’s problems!!!!

They didnt move forward with any repairs until I authorized them, they also didnt try to upsell me on repairs I didnt need. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and they never talked down to me. They also had a very fast turnaround time on the repairs, I was able to pick up my car on the same day. Lastly, I appreciate the fact that they check in with you afterwards to make sure your car is running well, and that the issues they worked on were addressed to your satisfaction. Been bringing my cars here for years and what can I say Ive yet to be disappointed. Outstanding customer service at the front desk with seasoned professionals in the back working on my car. I always know Ill be given a fair charge and I never feel like Im blindsided with with hidden fees or anything like that. The loaner car program is stellar, I can stop my car off first thing in the morning and either be driven to work if close by or I can a loaner for the day free of charge while my car is worked on. I would like to highly recommend Garrys Service Center for automotive repair and maintenance. Just yesterday.I discovered my car would not start at all. I called Cheryl and Luke at Garrys and asked for help.Luke personally came to my home 20 minutes later and got my aging BMW started. I then drove to Garrys and Cheryl set me up with a new battery and had the electrical system checked. I was back on the road by noon.This is just the most recent of years of happy experiences at Garrys.We were first referred there by another reputable mechanic in town. They could not fix the AC in my wifes older SAAB. Nor could the local SAAB dealership! Garrys got it fixed. We have been going there ever since.I should mention their excellent fleet of loaners which make getting repairs and maintenance painless.They are extremely skilled and honest. The staff is truly there to help. Garrys has my enthusiastic and unqualified endorsement.
Started off bringing one older Audi there two years ago for regular maintenance and periodic repairs, to see how they perform and compare prices quoted from the dealer. Gary’s Service Center is exceptional! I now bring all three of my family’s vehicles there, including a newer 2016 Ford. Theyre almost half the cost of car dealers, and do better quality work (in my opinion). Their complimentary drop off/pick up has saved me twice. The best part though, when I’m in a pinch, they get me in either the same day or within a couple days for an appointment. The first time Ive ever felt like a car service center is shooting me strait and I dont feel like Im getting ripped off.

I took my vehicle to Garrys as they were highly recommended by my medical co-workers after poor treatment by both a dealership and another name brand service center. Garrys was happy to help, treated me fairly and didnt try to charge me for extra work to my vehicle that it didnt need unlike the other two places. I would surely bring my vehicle back here.

My daughter and I were travelling from VT to MA and we got some bad noises from the engine compartment. We were able to drive it in to Garrys. They were clearly full of business and werent sure what they could do, but they were so great about diagnosing the issue (pump and tensioner), letting me know the options and getting it all done in a timely way. They even gave us a loaner car to go into downtown Concord, which wasnt a bad way to spend the day by the way, props to the NH capital. Thanks!
I have had a couple of really excellent experiences at Garrys now. The staff are kind and friendly. They charge reasonably and are honest. When the job didnt get done on the same day they provided me with a loaner car on the spot. The staff have gone above and beyond for me and I would recommend this Service Center to anyone.

This is definitely the best garage in Concord. The work performed was thorough, of high quality, and the people working at the front desk actually know a lot about cars (this is rarer than youd think). The free loaner car was clean and super fuel efficient while performing adequately; a nice little Civic I believe. There was a lot of communication with the garage throughout the day and I was given updates. My service request was very specific and I provided my own parts; all directions were followed exactly. Appropriate service recommendations were made based on the mileage of the car consistent with the manufacturers recommendations. No up-sells or up-charges were attempted or suggested. I peaked inside the garage area from the parking lot when the bay was open; it appeared extremely clean, organized, and up-to-date.
To anyone looking for a reliable mechanic--go to Garrys Service Center. Seriously. When I first visited them I had reached out for a second opinion on what was wrong with my 2008 Mini Cooper. It was shaking, humming and felt far from normal, and I had a pretty good feeling that my tire had a hole in it. I could not afford the recommended $1075 repair that my other mechanic said would fix the problem, and so I looked to Garrys Service Center to either confirm or deny that that was the way to go. The annoying voice in the back of my head felt like it had something to do with the tires and not the frontal wheel barrier, but I know very little about cars which is why it is so important to me to trust my mechanic. Good thing I went with my gut and got Garrys mechanics opinion. After taking my car in he told me that my left tire was about to come off and my right tire was almost flat--the main cause of the shaking I felt. Both pretty serious issues if I drive on the highway the majority of the time. So, not only did I get both of those problems fixed AND check and clean all my other tires, BUT I ALSO SAVED A TON OF MONEY! The total for my visit was $114...which left me absolutely beaming as I thanked them for all their help and left a VERY happy customer.As an added bonus, I know that they will always be there for me if my car has any issues in the future that require long term fixing. They have free rental cars readily available to ensure that I am not stuck until my car is fixed. All in all, dont keep debating which car repair company to go to, because Garrys Service Center is the place to go!
I went in for a flashing tire pressure light and had no appointment. Someone immediately came out, and took my keys, and led too the waiting room area, which was nice and comfortable. Ten minutes later, I was told its all set. Ive worked in the automotive business for thirteen years, and I could tell from the first interaction these guys are top shelf. I just moved to Concord, and I drive a lot for my job. The clutch went on my Subaru hatchback, and I managed to get it over to Garrys since its close to my house. I dropped my car off, and they even offered me a loaner. I opted to rent from Enterprise around the corner, and Luke insisted on calling them to get me Garrys awesome rate. They also gave me a ride over to Enterprise. The clutch was fixed the next day (along with new spark plugs and a few other things), and the price ended up on the low end of what I researched online. Also, it ended up being a pretty good deal since NH doesnt charge tax. Garrys couldnt have been more helpful, and accommodating to my work situation while they had my car. I definitely found my go-to auto shop in my new hometown; thanks Garrys!
I wish to preface this review with facts of exactly why I chose a Winner!I am a retired veteran working part time at an auto parts store. Prior to having repairs to my vehicle under unique circumstances, Garrys is also a customer on my delivery route.Aside from getting to know all of the friendly, honest, professional staff at this establishment through deliveries, I would observe the extreme cleanliness and order of the shop, along with the orderly, well equipped layout of each mechanics work area.Last Thursday, I was on the opposite end of the spectrum as a customer!When I pulled into the yard, I noticed how clean the parking lot was and also the manicured landscaping.Upon entering the building, I was greeted by the Service Writer, Luke . He instantly recognized me and inquired as to my visit.I was running late for an appointment and starting to get stressed because my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree! Luke very calmly and professionally address the issue by asking me a few questions in regards to symptoms the vehicle was exhibiting, He stated that he could get the car right in right away for a quick analysis and did so.Within 10 minuets his mechanic had very efficiently conducted a battery of tests determining the problem was an oxygen sensor. Luke said I should purchase the part from my company for a better deal. He handed me a set of keys to a vehicle and said to take this loaner to get the part . Unbeknownst to me, Luke had called ahead informing the sales person of my needs, upon my arrival the part was waiting for me.Garrys Auto Service gets a Ten out of Ten from me for appearance, professionalism. Honest and professional. After Garrys Service Center performed some minor service on my vehicle, I returned to the shop to pay my invoice, while also taking the opportunity to express some concerns I had with respect to the service and the resulting invoice. While there was nothing substandard about the actual work they performed, the staff at Garrys acknowledged a mutual miscommunication and waived the fee resulting from the work. Despite numerous attempts to pay the invoice in order to close the matter, the staff at Garrys repeatedly insisted upon waiving the fee, citing the importance of customer satisfaction and return business as far exceeding the collection of a small service fee. The staff at Garrys was professional and courteous throughout our conversation, and their commitment to customer satisfaction (and sound business practices) made for a pleasant experience. I will return to Garrys in the future, and recommend their services to others!

I recently had a great experience with Garrys that I wanted to share. I own an Audi A4 that I have had serviced at Garrys for oil changes and tires before. I was away on vacation last week and there was something noticeably wrong with the transmission of my car. I called Garrys and spoke with Jeff the owner, and he advised me to not drive the car if at all possible and to have it looked at right away. I could have had it towed somewhere locally, but I had it towed from Rye to Concord so they could look at it. They had a loaner waiting for me, told me theyd call with an update as soon as they could, and I was on my way. I received a call from the owner a few days later and he advised me that the problem they discovered was a pricey one, requiring a $2300 part plus labor. He suggested I bring the car to an Audi dealer to have it officially diagnosed, and to see if they might be able to help cover some of the costs even though it was 3 months of out of warranty.I followed their advice and called my Audi dealer. The owner drove my car there and spoke with the service manager at the dealership. The next day I got a call from Audi - it turns out that not only was Garrys diagnosis right on, but Audi agreed to cover the cost of the repair, which would have cost upwards of $4000. Garrys could have easily done the work and charged me a lot of money, but instead they were honest and did what was best for me. I have never had such a positive experience with a shop before. Garrys saved me a ton of money and I couldnt recommend them more.

I have always found the service outstanding, the mechanics are outstanding will take time to explain the problem clearly and will discuss your vehicle with you. They usually come in at or under their quote. They will let me come into the garage and view the car on the lift, a big plus to one who likes to see the process up close and first hand. I was extremely pleased with my service at Garrys! I recently moved from NY to NH and needed a lot of work done to pass inspection. I love the fact that they can give you a loaner car which is very convenient. Given the amount of work needed they were great at working to try to keep costs done as well. They were also very professional and unlike some auto shops I always felt they were being honest about the work that needed to be done on my vehicle. I will be going to Garrys from now on!Also, if you do need to stay at the shop while work is being done to your car they provide free coffee and snacks and have a comfortable waiting area with nice couches and chairs and free wifi... I was driving to Maine from Claremont when my brakes failed- I pulled into the first place I could find, which happened to be Garrys. It was a Saturday and they were closed, but Jeff the owner just happened to be there. He took my car in and gave me a loaner car free of charge so I could get home. My car was ready in a couple days and for a very fair price. Excellent commitment to customer service. I will probably drive the 1.5 hours here just to get my car repaired in the future.

Lets face it, some of us just arent car people. That said, not all car people are fair. It can be confusing. In my case, I was on the hunt for a good quality used car that wouldnt break the bank. Jeff (who I think is like the new Garry) went so far out of his way to help me in this process, that I thought maybe I was getting filmed on some type of happy reality car TV show. Relying on Garrys to complete the pre-purchase inspections was totally the best $50 I could have spent. In total, it saved me from overpaying for two different cars by over three thousand dollars. These folks are trustworthy and competent - both traits that you want when it comes to cars. Particularly when you dont really know what youre doing. And, theyre patient and fair too which is an added plus.
I have been screwed by many mechanics and am very timid about getting my car fixed. Not at Garrys. They always give me a reasonable quote and take the time to get my car fixed quickly and correctly. We first moved to the area 8 years ago and took our car to the local dealer. As well as being expensive the results werent impressive. Then we found Garrys Service Center; convenient, offered us a loaner and friendly but most important, they did the job they said they were going to do at the cost they estimated and in a timely fashion. They have new owners since I first came here and theyve added new services as well as a very welcome waiting area. How many garages do you know where they greet you by name even if youre only coming in for an oil change? We own slightly higher end cars but Ive seen all makes, foreign and domestic on their lot. Highly recommended.

Our SAABs, mini-vans, trailers and Hybrid Lexus (for the past 8 years) all have gotten excellent attention. My husband and I brought our used volvo of just over a year to Garys in need of work and we were blown away by how honest and compassionate they are. We have gone through a lot this year and cant handle much more . (which they have no idea about). I was in tears...just the way they treated us and the amount of compassion that was shown to us, how they went above and beyond. They offered to help us in so many ways and I cant list them all, but I will tell you they put the well being and safety of my own family before trying to make a nickel. Ive been taking my vehicles to Garrys for 4 years. They are consistently excellent with their work and helpful with their advice. However, this last time, the effort was beyond exceptional. During a routine oil change, they found a crack in my Toyota RAV4s muffler. When they went to replace it, found that it was of a piece with the catalytic converter, and that piece was going to be very expensive. So Cheryl advocated for us to Toyota, which agreed the part was warranted, so they got a free part from Toyota, and I only paid for labor. this is more than exceptional customer service -- this is really working for the customer, above and beyond what might be expected.

I ended up at Garrys during a move from North Carolina to Vermont. I stopped to visit my family outside of Concord, and on my way out, the car broke down. Luckily, Cheryl urged me to come in, even though they didnt really have space to take the car. She said that she didnt want me to have to drive if the car was unsafe, so they could at least figure out what was going on. I brought the car in, and they took care of me completely. I have never had anyone explain car issues so completely, they showed me what was going on under the hood, described everything in detail, and printed out a list of everything for me to take with me. I only ended up getting the emergent issues fixed, but can strongly recommend the shop to anyone who needs car work done. On top of everything, they offered me a ride, a loaner, they have wifi, a cozy sitting room with clean bathrooms, and coffee. What more could you ask for?
What a great experience! I was visiting NH from NY because my mother, who lives in NH, had fallen, broke her hip, and needed surgery. The day I planned to leave it was raining out and, of all times, my windshield wipers stopped working! It was hard enough to go the 2 miles to the hospital from where I was staying. I didnt know how Id ever get home for work. I called Garrys and they understood my dilemma without hesitation. I brought my car in, they gave me a loaner car, and they fixed my car while I visited my mother in the hospital. The man and woman at the desk were so friendly and understanding. They turned an already stressful time, and what could have been a miserable and potentially dangerous day, into a wonderful customer service experience! I went to Garrys based on a solid recommendation from close friends. With the car at 137,000 and with a recent change at the dealership, my goal was to get a complete review of the vehicle and decide if my ongoing service would have a new home. I was very pleased with the initial discussion and thorough walk through of all details regarding the repairs completed combined with the presentation of options for repair now or watch on repeat visits. Getting the car back cleaned inside and out was an unexpected bonus. My ongoing service has found a new home.

We have been bringing my wifes SLK350 here for service and inspection since we bought it. We used Garrys for a pre-buy inspection and they gave us a very thorough and honest assessment of the car, which gave us confidence in buying it. What is one of the worst occurrences that can happen while on a trip? Have a major break-down many mile from your home. I live out of state and was passing through Manchester, NH when my 2011 Saab 9-5 turbo failed. Fortunately, a friend lived near Concord whom I called and asked where he had his cars repaired. While I slowly drove the Saab to that shop, I passed a sign that stated, Saab .... Serviced. I pulled in to Garrys Service Center, and explain my situation. In ten minutes the customer representative had arranged a technicians schedule, so the Saab could be analyzed. After it was determined the turbo was blown, I was provided a loaner car to continue my trip, a new turbo was over-nighted to replace the blown turbo and my repaired Saab was waiting for pick-up when I returned from my trip. What would I rate the help and service afforded me by the staff at Garrys Service Center: EXTRAORDINARY!
The people here are amazing! Im from New York City, just visiting in Concord and when the check engine light came on I was recommended to go to Garrys. They made certain it was safe for us to drive back home. Being from NYC we have a tendency to hold onto mechanics we can trust tenaciously. (Like Seinfeld couldnt trust anyone but Puddy) If ever im in New Hampshire again Ill go to Garrys.
My experience at Garrys was excellent. I went one morning before work, and I was on a serious time crunch. I needed a tire swap and an alignment, and I needed to leave in an hour. All the employees were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they took care of my car in less than an hour.They put two employees to work on my car to get it finished as soon as possible, they took it for a test drive around the block, and they even vacuumed my carpets with time to spare. The waiting lounge was clean with comfortable couches and WiFi, and the price was extremely reasonable. They even let me know that if I need to borrow a loaner car, they have several available if you reserve one ahead of time. They also have a shuttle that goes into downtown Concord.This was my first time bringing my car to Garrys, and Im recommending it to all my friends. This is a standup place with honest, talented mechanics. I would trust them with my car anytime.

1st time using Garrys service center, just moved to Concord area & my usual mechanic wasnt able to help me repair my car issues for several weeks. I told them what i expected the issue to be & was given a quote for that particular repair which was a decent price. What initially steered me towards Garrys service was the fact that theyll give you a loaner car to use while there repairing car if you need during that time at NO ADDITIONAL COST! My car was not running and i knew i needed transportation so thats why i went with them in the 1st place. I had my car towed to the shop the night before my scheduled appt & the next morning i was dropped off to get the loaner car. I recieved a call from the mechanic that morning about his plan to fix my car & that he would be in touch later in the day. Later that afternoon he called me to inform me the issue i thought my car was having was not the issue at all, he told me my engine was blown..... talk about some bad news & a really bad day! I just finished paying it off 2 months prior, originally bought it brand new & only had 90,000 miles on the car. He informed me because engine was blown they had not done the repair I had asked them to do that was suppose to cost me around $250 (maybe). I brought the loaner car back, paid $60 for the diagnosis & asked if i could have a few days to try and figure out what i was going to do & how i was going to get my dead car towed off there property. They said that would be no problem at all. They were all so very nice & as helpful as they could be. Some mechanic shops wouldve done the repair i requested or said they had done the repair to make there money knowing that wasnt even the issue at all, as well as they couldve charged me a storage fee for having to leave my car on there property for several days BUT thats not what they did! I found out the next day there was a recall on my engine & the dealership would be replacing my blown engine with a brand new one. The dealership (after putting a little pressure on them) took care of having my car towed from Garrys to dealership. Garrys Service Center couldve def tried getting over on me if that was the kind of mechanic shop they run BUT THEY DIDNT DO THAT AT ALL! I would definitely recommended them & would bring my car back to them in a heart beat should i need any work done. As a female whos not very knowledgeable about cars, repairs, & the appropriate costs of repairs (except for what google might inform me of & there not always correct) I always worry im going to get taken advantage of & ripped off because it happened to me before by an owner of a mechanic shop so I try to be cautious & do my research. Great shop, honest mechanic, decently priced & friendly guys! You cant go wrong choosing Garrys for your car repairs & maintenance. Thank you guys, im glad i found you.
Garrys Service Center is amazing & they deserve more than 5 stars...I live in Vermont and I was driving to Maine today. I got an oil change 3 days ago, so I would be ready for the trip. Upon entering Concord, (about halfway through my trip, far from both home and my destination) my dashboard lit up with a low oil alert. I pulled off the interstate and found this service center that specializes in Audis & other European cars. I walked in during lunch hour with no appointment, and completely at their mercy. Not only did they take my car immediately into their shop, but they showed me the undercarriage covered in oil and the part that had been damaged during the original oil change in Vermont. While I waited, I was shown to a waiting room that looks like my living room at home, given the free wifi password, and sat a desk to do work on my computer. I was given a loaner car (free!) to go and get lunch. By the time I was back, my car was ready- another oil change, a new part, AND they cleaned up the oil that had splattered underneath. So they fixed a mistake that some one else had made, and had me back on the road in under 2 hours. When I walked in, I was very frustrated and annoyed. When I left I was in a great mood- I could not have had a better experience. Luke and his crew are the best. VERY PROFESSIONAL & VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. I never write reviews and now I cannot shut up about this place. I will find an excuse to go back and give them more business.
My husband and I have been going to Garrys for years now. We are always happy with the service we receive the pricing is reasonable and they are more than willing to provide a quality loaner vehicle for any extended work.
I recently almost bought a (very) used pickup, and brought it in to see what it would need to pass inspection. Turns out they saved me a LOT of heartbreak and expense. They found a long list of problems that would have made the vehicle very expensive to bring up to inspection standards. And they didnt charge a cent for their painstaking anaylsis. Ive heard great things about Garrys and now I know why. Thanks guys!

Ill keep it simple. I brought my truck there to have them investigate a coolant leak. After their $89 diagnostic they said my radiator needed to be replaced. The price tag: $1090. I took the same truck to Merrils Radiator Service the next day, and they determined the leak was due to a faulty hose clamp. Price tag: $58.The folks at Garrys are either incompetent, or crooked -- two qualities that dont mix well in business. Everyone I know will be aware of my experience.
