0 stars. Fidelity Home Warranty might be the most fraudulent company we have ever worked with. We had a shower leak that was causing water damage to our house. We paid a $75 service fee on top of our monthly payment to have a plumber come out, cut 2 massive holes in our kitchen ceiling (pictured) and not find the leak. It took 3 plumbers over the course of 6 weeks to find the source of the leak & file the claim for approval. No one from Fidelity ever reached out to us. To top it off it took 4 “claims managers” and “specialists” after 10+ collective hours on hold to be told the work was not covered, they would not fix the holes in our ceiling & they would not reimburse us the $75. We literally PAID to have someone come destroy our house & to receive ZERO customer service. Fidelity refused to let us speak to a manager or superior and was unable to provide a customer service number for us to speak to someone who could actually help. We have never felt so taken advantage of by a company. DO NOT give these people your business.Lorna Mello (Fidelity CEO) - I have never been so disappointed in a company’s lack of customer service or care for its customers. Your company and employees have delivered nothing but false promises and wasted time. This hits home even harder when you are selling protection of peoples houses - which serves as a critical safe haven and central nucleus for families during this time. I highly encourage your leadership team to take a hard look at the lack of customer service you are providing. Your customers deserve better.

Ours dryer was not working so we decided to use our Fidelity warranty for the first time. They charge $75 upfront without us knowing who is coming or anything being schedule. Next the person they assigned is somebody who is 1 hr. drive away from us and can only come next week which wouldnt work for us. So next we had to use out of their network vendor. The vendor quoted above $300 limit so we had to get the approval from Fidelity. I sent the estimate quote to Fidelity and they approved the above limit after looking at the estimate. So I went ahead and approved the vendor estimate online, and he did the job. This binds me with the vendor that I agree to pay the estimated amount to vendor if he completes the job. Now the job is complete I paid the vendor, got the vendor to sign the same exact estimate and fill out fidelity out of network form and signed. I emailed the same day with all receipts and forms given to me by Fidelity. No response from Fidelity, so I called - wait is like an hour minimum. To receive reimbursement they are now asking each part cost and labor charge. I said its the same as I sent the estimate - why didnt you specify before making me approve vendor estimate? they are asking more details, I also requested please email me exact what is needed so I can forward to the vendor. The caller just sent me the same link to the website nothing in writing that what is needed. Eventually, caller will not do it, nor they will transfer me to the person who can. They will just not do it. And the vendor is getting frustrated at me saying the job is done, spending more time is going to cost me. Fidelity will not talk to the vendor. Now, Im stuck with Annual cost to Fidelity, $75 upfront cost to fidelity, and also paid the vendor for dryer repair. Now who wants Fidelity National Home Warranty??

I would steer clear of this company these days! I think COVID must have destroyed what mediocre quality they had because they just cancelled our coverage after 7+ years with no explanation. When I called to ask questions, they had no answers. Transferred me to a supervisor who was INCREDIBLY rude and unprofessional. Abrupt, speaking over me and just repeating her script that “the underwriters make the decision to cancel taking into consideration many factors.” When I asked her what general factors are considered, she continued to provide no information because apparently NO ONE is allowed to know why. Makes absolutely no sense considering we’ve renewed promptly and on time every month, paid all deductibles timely and patiently waited when their contractors took weeks to make repairs. Honestly, the service was sub-par most of the time but we stuck it out due to familiarity but they’ve clearly lost any and all motivation to actually provide a service. Even their website has gone downhill. You can’t even contact through the website anymore. Save your money and find a company that actually cares about its customers, the service they provide and the quality of their employees interacting with those paying them.

On a sunday night(July 11, 2021), I had a drain clog in my house that resulted to my garage being flooded with raw sewage. On Monday morning, I called Fidelity National Home Warranty to request for service to fix this problem. I was on the phone for more than 6 hours and nobody took my call. I went online to try to request for service online but their website was down too.Because of the safety of my children being compromised by the raw sewage, I called an outside plumber (CHOSEN ROOTER & PLUMBING, SAN FRANCISCO) to do the job. Upon completion of the job, I paid the plumber with my credit card and obtained receipt from the plumber.I submitted my receipts with an explanation to Fidelity National Home Warranty for reimbursement. Fidelity Replied that I should get the License number of the Plumber and that I should ask the plumber to write a letter to them explaining what job they did. For clarity, CHOSEN ROOTER & PLUMBING is one of Fidelitys network plumbers. They also asked me to get a statement from my credit card company showing those charges were actually made. I requested for credit card statement from my credit card company and highlighted those charges for Fidelity.I called CHOSEN ROOTER & PLUMBING, SAN FRANCISCO and asked them to give me another receipt with details of the job they did at my place. Daniel, the owner of the CHOSEN ROOTER & PLUMBING chastised, yelled, and hurled insults at me for calling him to make such requests from Fidelity. Daniel asked me to tell Fidelity to call him directly. Now, when I called Fidelity to ask Fidelity to make the requests directly from the plumber, Fidelity told me they couldnt help me any more and insisted that it was my job to tell the plumber to give details of the services performed. I told them to call the plumber directly as was demanded by the plumber and they said no. For record purposes, I have been with Fidelity National Home Warranty for 21 years without missing any premiums payments. This is the worst experience I have ever had in dealing with a home warranty company and I am caught up in the squabbles between Fidelity and CHOSEN ROOTER & PLUMBING and cant get reimbursed by Fidelity. This is not right. Fidelity is implicitly implying that I am lying and I feel they are biased against me because I am a minority with a foreign accent.

All these reviews are accurate. We havent had our AC unit working for over a month. These people dont communicate at all. They had 3 service people come out and did not use any information from the service repair people. They just kept putting it back in the automated system. I have probably spent 7-8 hours on hold. They say they will call me back with information and they never do. Im pretty sure they are just waiting for my annual policy to expire next week so they dont have to replace anything. Total frauds. Meanwhile my 1 month old baby has been boiling in the house, along with my 3 and 5 year olds, and my wife that just gave birth. Brutal! If you need to raise prices for your business model to work well for both your bottom line and your customers then that is totally fair. Instead, it seems this company does everything they can, including having horrible customer service, to make sure they dont have to have to pay out on any claims.

I have used this company for almost 10 years, starting in 2013, at first they were great and I saved money. Now all of a sudden they have no one they can send to fix anything. So long story short if you purchase a Fidelity National Home Warranty plan for your home, you are paying to spend your day on the phone with there employees telling you that they can not find anyone. I am done, I will find a different warranty company. Never buy a plan from these people unless you like pulling your own hair out.

Whatever you do, do not use this company! Total waste of money and time. They sent an appliance repair tech to my home who did not have a clue what was causing the problem with my microwave. After several weeks, he finally showed back up and worked on my microwave. Still unable to repair my microwave. He returned several times and still, I do not have a working microwave. Every time you open the microwave door, it throws the breaker. He told my husband and I, hit stop, and then open the door. The breaker still throws. Should have saved my money. I could have bought a new microwave.

In the past, I have gotten decent service from this company, but I think COVID has them spinning around the drain. I put in a claim, paid the $75, and then didnt get a call from the vendor. I ended up getting an HVAC tech out on my own dime, and then the vendor they assigned gave me a call about 2 weeks later. I also found that there is absolutely NO way to get in contact with them. Their Website (once logged in) doesnt even offer an option to send an e-mail. Get on the phone, and you are placed in a never ending hold loop. Time to find a different company for a Home Warranty.

I have had a home warranty for several years but have rarely used them. I find they often do not approve claims and can take a while to respond. The hold times were long for this company but indeed they covered the cost of replacing my water heater other than a small $200 charge. I was happy with the service I received from them.

This place is GREAT... If you want to have your home flooded and them not care a bit. Leaking water heater, explicitly covered under the warranty when home was purchased, put in a claim and was referred right away to a plumber. 4 days go by and nothing. Try calling the plumber and every number listed goes to the same cell phone that is OFF and a full mailbox.Called Fidelity to request a new service provider dispatch and was told sure no problem, someone will contact you this weekend. Well its Monday now and 0 calls. Call them again and get told they reach them on the phone either so hold on so I can work on a new dispatch. Only to get told I just got an email and they will call you shortly to schedule something for Wednesday, a week after the leak which is now 3/4 flooded the garage and gone into the house 15 feet.I demand a new company to be told no they are within their window to contact you. So I inquire about all the other damage this is causing to my home and personal property to be told that is incidental damage and would not be covered. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? Your going to say to wait for someone to come out but your not paying for the damages waiting causes?!!! Never in my life have I had such a poor experience with a warranty service!

Its a joke at the least to call this place an actual company of business. Ive never experienced service like this in my life. Ive had an open service request with them due to a pipe leak in my home for over a month. Ive called twice a week since opening the request. Every time I get told they will escalate my ticket to their resolutions team and then I get absolutely nothing back. I have asked for supervisors and they have to escalate those tickets and I still hear nothing back. I guess Id be more forgiving if this was something small like my microwave not working but we legit have a leak in our home that they seem to have no corncern for.. [not hearing back is still unacceptable no matter what the issue]. I paid for the service and have gotten absolutely nothing but a horrible taste in my mouth from them. If this company wasnt part of the purchase of my home Id never have chosen them to work with. This is the optiomy of horrible service.

The list of reasons this company deserves zero stars is too long for a google review. Here are two of the biggest issues we’ve had with these bullies.1. Our furnace was deemed unsafe. It needed to be replaced within a few months of us purchasing our home. The company sent by fidelity deemed it unsafe, and put in a request for it to be replace. Fidelity said “fat chance,” and did nothing.2. The WHOLE system is a mess, and they don’t care. Call once and you’ll lose your patience. Last night we had a two hour phone call with them. Which meant waiting for one agent for about an hour, being transferred, and waiting for the next agent for an hour, ONLY TO BE HUNG UP ON after waiting an entire hour. Did they give us a call back? Of course not. They are bullies. Our only solution is to call back and wait another two hours. But it must be worth it to get your stuff fixed by good people? Or course not. They send repair men who are told to spend as little money as possible, and who will reschedule you constantly because they value their non Fidelity customers better.FIDELITY, you need to burn the whole system down and restart. MAKE A CHAT OPTION ONLINE, TRAIN YOUR AGENTS TO BE NICE, GIVE CALL BACKS, STREAM LINE YOUR PHONE SYSTEM.I will be purchasing a home warranty through another company when this one is done. They have seriously made me think about contacting a lawyer because they don’t hold up their end of the contract!

I would like to find a way to get all of the service fees including the initial fee paid to have this home warranty. I have a leak in my shower that has gotten worse in the last few months. After submitting a request and having a plumber come out to look at the leak, both the plumber and I have been waiting for FNHW to approve the plumber to purchase the needed parts to complete the repair for months. We have even offered to make an access for the work to be done. However, FNHW will keep you in a very long hold and when being transferred to a “specialist,” we will wait for hours just to be disconnected. This has happened more than 10 times. Fidelity National Home Warranty is a scam. They keep taking the $75 service fee and keep you in a holding pattern without fulfilling the work order. There is no way of getting anyone else to help. The CEO of this company needs to know this is happening if she doesn’t know it already.I am now in a situation where the problem is so bad, we have to shut our water off to the house and just hire a plumber to fix it. This is after Fidelity National home warranty takes your money, and literally runs and hide. If they can just give an answer and say, we cannot approve the work, so we can move on and get the leak fixed, rather than keeping you locked on hold until the problem is so much worse, it wouldn’t be so bad. These are families with elderly relatives and children that need to have their home in running order which is why we purchase a home warranty in the first place. FNHW has false advertising to say the least. And when they try to address these complaints, they further lie by giving you hope they will address it, but instead pretend they don’t see your “direct message with your contact info” so they can at least discuss the situation. I would avoid them and find another home warranty.

To start with a positive, we put in a request to replace our garage opener and a technician was out in the next couple of days to replace it. That first experience was so easy and seamless, the bar had been set for future interactions with this warranty provider. The second claim we submitted was for a HVaC and furnace replacement which was incorrectly installed by the previously house owner and caused a major major moisture issue and nurtured a termite infestation. It’s been three weeks since a report was submitted and the analysts at Fidelity still have not approved. I’ve called everyday this week and remained on hold for over an hour everyday without ever reaching the analyst team. The company has a major Customer Experience and poor customer service problem. A notice on the website communicating back order and long hold times is not enough. Customers need responsive communication and the company needs to set accurate expectations for approval turnaround times - definitely does not take two days to get approvals.

This business appears to have poor customer service intended to screen claims. I put in two claims online as suggested ($75 each). One was accepted and everything went well, but there was the inevitable problem with one of the others. Two techs have been by my house and agreed the refrigerator needs replaced. There has been no response from Fidelity for this claim for two months. Calling the tech support line is useless as you wait for an average of 2 hours (worst was 2x2.5 hours...had to get passed up the chain for another round of waiting). There is no call back hold, chat function, or even email you can use to get in touch with a person. Calling their sales line gets in touch with a person within minutes, which was another indicator of claim screening. Finally, the customer service folks can do nothing to process a claim when you do actually call. They will say, we are slammed this time of year but typically operate on a 2-5 business day turnaround. My claim has spanned summer and fall, so I am not sure what they are referring to. I have also been hung up on, transferred in circles, and told they were working on things as fast as possible. Avoid this home warranty company at all costs.

We have used Fidelity Home warranty since 2015. But, the service of the company has gone down from pretty good to beyond unacceptable! You will never be able to get hold a person from service dept to talk over the phone when you really needed. They charge co-pay at the time when you request. Then, if you cancel the service, even several days ahead the scheduled appointment, they still held your co-pay without refund. The reason is that it requires you to call Fidelity service directly in order to get refund. But, their service line NEVER had ANYONE to answer. I tried to place the phone call for many times, each time, I was put on hold for more than one to one and half hour. This started to happen since later 2020. I gave up many times and just paid out of pocket, in order to get things fixed. They also never tried to follow up if a service is done and how it was done. In short, they just dont have their CUSTOMER service in anyway. They dont answer phone, email or txt. Its time to switch!

THIS IS THE WORST AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL HOME WARRANTY COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I will be reporting this company and the companies they contract with to the better business bureau. I always make my payments on time and have given everyone the benefit of the doubt due to the ongoing pandemic but the services we have been provided lacked knowledge, experience, professionalism, and quality of service. I opened up my claim the first week of June because I had a leak upstairs that was dripping into my downstairs living room. The plumber came out and cut a hole in my ceiling downstairs and said that my drain in my bathtub needed to be replaced along other issues. After that first week, I would call both my insurance and the plumbing company for status on the repairs. Both companies would blame the delay on the other company. First it was the plumber didn’t submit his report, next it was the insurance has not approved the repairs. Then 45 DAYS LATER - again I had to call them because no one at either of these companies know how to pick up the phone - the parts are finally in but they don’t cover over $200 of the repairs and they won’t send the plumber out here unless I state over the phone on a recorded statement that I agree to pay those out of pocket costs. Finally, after my numerous calls to the plumbing company, they come back out and say that they can’t do the repairs because my insurance should have repaired the floor first. My insurance claims they don’t cover that - what do you cover????? If I needed to do that on my own I could have done that 45 DAYS AGO!!!!! Fidelity is TRASH!!!

The new service provider came and evaluated our problem, ordered parts and set up an additional appointment to install the parts to fix the problem. The day came for the appointment and no one called or showed up. Long story short, not worth the money. Every time you file a claim (even if for the same issue), its $75. I got the warranty b/c our AC was so old. I used it twice for AC issues and didnt have any problems. When I had dishwasher issues, thats where I realized how much this warranty is not worth it. Ive spent over 2 hrs on the phone on hold with their customer service to try and resolve the issue. Almost worth putting a new dishwasher on my credit card and forgetting this.UPDATE 9.24.21 - FNHW responded to my review and said they were concerned and to direct message them...but there isnt a way to DM them, so thats worthless. I ended up paying another $75 to get a new repairman to come out (for the same issue) and order parts. Bottom line - the warranty works until you have an issue that needs to be discussed with the company. I spent another 1 hr on hold this week trying to talk to someone without success. FNHWs customer service is non-existent.

I have reset my password 7 times and still cant get into my account. When I filled out the tech form, it looks like it is not going through. They used to be good. This is terrible. I cant even get my need for service addressed.

Warranty purchased by our real estate agent as a gift. Tried to use it to get a leaky, clogged garbage disposal fixed and the experience was absolutely horrible. Response times were 24+ hours, I was on hold for over 2 hours. I was repeatedly hung up on, and at no point did I feel like I was in good hands. Customer is clearly NOT the focus. Dont waste your money. Feels like a scam. Just glad I didnt pay for the service in the first place.

I have been a loyal customer in my current house for about 5 years now. Up until recently the service has been great. Quick response and contractors are out quickly and anything wrong has been replaced or fixed fairly fast. Until the last 6 weeks. Service call on May 24, the contractor came out, and since then Ive heard nothing. Ive talked to 2 reps on the phone and nobody can seem to get this issue to the next step. I was given a resolution number to call which I did yesterday and was on hold for 2 hours......I finally hung up. Im sensitive to the call volume and number of claims that may be coming in. But Im losing faith and patience here. It would help if you had a chat feature where we could get information on our claim.

Im working with my father (Mark Doty) who has been using Fidelity for service. His experience is very consistent with all of the other 1-star reviews. His saga with Fidelity began 6 months ago when he used them for AC repair. After the repair, he paid the technician on the spot. After that, Fidelity insisted that he never paid. This began a chain of horrors. On 3 different occasions, he went to the mat with this issue, sent a photo of the check and had a 3-way phone call with Fidelity, the technician and himself. Even after this, they still insisted he had not paid the service fee. When the blower motor went out 3 weeks ago, this issue surfaced yet again. They suspended his account because he had not paid the fee. It took 1.5 weeks of daily phone calls to rectify the situation. Finally a technician was allowed to inspect the AC unit and reported he needed a new blower motor. He has been without AC in south Texas for the past 3 weeks. The temp in his bedroom reaches 92 degrees and his home is not inhabitable so hes had to live elsewhere. Fidelity will not call him with updates and their advice to him is to keep calling frequently. After being put on hold for hours, he still cant tell if the part has been ordered. There is no end in sight. The customer relations team has some serious work to do here!!

Looks like they can come to my house each time and make money without fixing anything. Second time they came and told me its working, but I told them it was not working. They make people fool. This one deserve negative stars. Google should also list negative stars so that they dont rip off people.

This company is non-responsive. They sent me email claiming theyd been trying to call me, when in fact I was home and never received any phone calls from them. They refused to fix my air conditioner ducts because there is a vapor barrier covering them, but I live in a manufactured home, which they know because it even shows it on my contract, so of course theres a vapor barrier, so why didnt they tell me that to begin with and save me literally MONTHS of this hassle (Ive been trying to get this done since June, its now September)? Why didnt I get a phone call, email, letter... anything so I could go about finding the cost of removing the barrier? But they never contacted me to tell me my claim was denied because of that, I had to call them repeatedly and wait on hold, in some cases for more than 2 hours. They are unprofessional, unresponsive, and unhelpful.

DO NOT USE this company!! We bought a house and the seller paid for a year of home warranty from Fidelity. We have had to call 2 times and both times have been a HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE! Our AC broke down and the oh so helpful lady told us it isn’t an emergency unless the weather is over 105. WE LIVE IN VEGAS AND THE HEAT HAS BEEN OVER 105 EVERY SINGLE DAY AND WE JUST WENT THROUGH A HEATWAVE. So what the F constitutes an emergency?!?! DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!! They will take your money, promise to help when “you need them the most” and they will not give a F! I have been on hold for over an hour, and once they finally answered, they HUNG UP. Even the AC company that they hired had nothing good to say about them, they don’t approve parts immediately, they take forever to “resolve” it and once they “do” they do not communicate that with the hired company so their hands are tied. I wish Take your business somewhere else!! They are a horrible horrible company!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I called for a water leak repair and was on hold for over an hour before I decided to submit a claim online. Once the claim was submitted, they sent a plumber who came, took a look, and left. He claimed I needed to provide access or he could not do the work. He said the warranty company needed to provide the access for him. Seeing as I am not a contractor, I was not about to hack into my own home so after the plumber said they would call me back, I left it up to them. Two weeks later, I have not heard back and I call them. I have now spent 2 hours and gotten no where. Their phone system says my claim was approved, but when talking to someone they say it has been denied. When being transferred to a “specialist” they just hang up on me, not once, but now 4 times. It is as if this is a scam. They take your money and when you actually need help they stall and deny and do nothing.Update: Response to the owner. There is no way to DM you. Hopefully there arent that many cases were you have ignored customers, so my information is logged in your system and after spending 3 hours on the phone being hung up on or on hold, one of your customer agents said they would have a specialist call me. That was over a week ago.

Like all the others who have shared their wows about National Fidelity Home Warranty, I’ve been trying for 3 months to get my oven replaced. They sent out a service repair at my request and determined that they can not fix it. The choice given to me is to replace or take the cash. The amount of money offered to replace the oven is not realistic when the cost to remove and install is included. So, I opted for them to replace it.I have been battling them since May of 2021. I still do not have an oven. I won’t go in to the detail of all the complications involved without an oven but, I’ll say it has been quite a juggle to cook family meals and bake for my grandchildren.Currently, as I type I am on hold for 45 minute and then transferred to be on hold again! I have now been on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes. This is just absolutely the worst. I have been placed on hold and transferred with hopes of resolve so many times since May!! As others have said, the reason one gets a home Warranty is to help with such cost when you buy a new home. New homeowners don’t often have the funds!! This is just absolute disregard, disrespectful, inconsiderate, unethical, and purely unkind human behavior!!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST! My HVAC was blowing nothing but hot air because the exterior fan wasnt turning on so I filed a claim with Fidelity Home Warranty. There vendor relationships are mediocre at best the vendors place the lowest priority on Fidelity Home Warranty service calls basically if there isnt any work for them they will get to you when they get to you. According to Fidelity manager Kelsey there is no time frame when the vendor comes out to service you. Im going on 7 days without air conditioning in the heat of summer finally I was able to get a hold of a Fidelity management still useless I have to wait another 7 days before they schedule one of their other vendors to come out to service my unit. That is a total of 14 days before anyone gets out to service me. I find that extremely disappointing when I ask the manager if they could at least provide a window when the vendor will arrive they dont do that another complete disappointment and waste of my valuable time.My recommendation to leadership at this company is work on your vendor relationships they are a reflection on your service. Improve your communication with customers being able to get a hold of someone at your company is nearly impossible, you might want to take a playbook from American Express in this area they might be able to help you. Finally simplifying the process to scheduling service orders online is easy but it still doesnt allow you to schedule the an appointment with the vendor. If there is a way to have a 48 hour timeline between the first service call and a window of when the vendor will arrive would be a winner. Good luck you have a lot of work ahead of you to become a phenomenal company.

We waited 2 months and we’re told by them one of the parts was defective and they would ask Fidelity to order the part. That was supposedly done on July 9. I am on hold with Fidelity again as I write this and I’ve been on this call for 58 minutes and I was transferred to another department. This is probably my 10th call and hold times vary from 38 minutes to 1 hour and 16 minutes. Service provider has been called over 24 times and will not return our calls either. The plumber who came out is also not answering his phone, I find this to be very fishy. I was given the run around when I did get someone on the phone via 1-800, I was disconnected, lied to, and treated extremely terrible. This company should be shut down. I requested a full refund with an email address given to me by one rep, another rep gave me an email address that was false. 2021 we should not have to deal with such poor service, and there should be a name/number to contact with these issues, and there is not. Fidelity quickly alerts vendors when you report an issue. In my case the vendors were pretty quick to respond. The issues I experienced did require some escalation.Fidelitys client website keeps track of your service calls, but its not the best at keeping you appraised of the status of those. That means calling in.Their staff is very courteous and professional, and they do their best to work with you.You should be prepared to wait on hold for considerable amounts of time because they get a lot of calls. That being said, youll need to allow ample time for issues to be remediated if you do have an issue that cannot be resolved upon the first visit from a vendor.

We’ve had some issues with previous warranty claims with Fidelity, but nothing more than a minor problem. This last time is a completely different story: we live in Texas and have been without a/c for over a month now. We have called multiple times (must of which ended when they hung up on me and my husband), and we have informed them that it is 100+ degrees outside and 90 degrees in our house. After being told that our claim was “expedited” to be reviewed in 24 hours, we then waited an additional two weeks for any sort of movement with our claim. After finally being approved, they then waited an additional 2 weeks to order the one part that was needed to fix our unit. Today I was told that it would be an additional 15 business days to receive the part. To add salt to the wound, the a/c service company that came out to evaluate our issue told us they had the parts and time to have the issue fixed in less than a week if we didn’t go through the insurance company. The lack of urgency with Fidelity has been disgusting. NEVER will I recommend them to anyone, and I will be cancelling my service with them ASAP. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

And of course the AC blew out in the first month of me living in the home and mind you it was during the hot month of August needless to say my AC unit had to be completely replaced and the job wasn’t completed till the end of November. Multiple calls went out to them every week on status of when my unit would be replaced. Also before it was concluded we needed a new unit the company they hired came several times to my home and replaced multiple parts, thermostat, electric panels and more. But that’s not even why am giving them a 1 star. After the year was up they sent me a letter saying I could not renew the warranty with them it had no reason as to why except a code number, when I called them they agent said there supervise would have to talk to me and she also couldn’t give me a reason why she said that there’s a board and they decide and am like your still not answering my question. So I told her the reason why is its cause you guys had to pay money out for a new AC unit. Again she said she didn’t know and referred me back to the letter code number. Like seriously that’s why we pay you for this warranty, so when things go bad you help us fix it but instead get penalized for using the service . Worst warranty ever.

Worst service Ive ever experienced from a warranty company.... Twice in the past year my AC unit died. In the first case, it took almost two months from the time I filed my claim to the time it was repaired. The majority of that time was waiting on Fidelity to approve the vendor recommendation. Luckily it was fall/winter time frame so not huge inconvenience to be without an AC. Then, in August, the same AC broke again. On 8/3/21 we submitted a claim. A few days later, on 8/7, the AC vendor arrived and diagnosed the problem. As of today, 8/31/21 (four weeks after I filed my claim) Im still waiting on Fidelity to advise. Ive called them multiple times and every time they transfer me to someone else and I end up waiting on hold for over an hour and nobody ever answers. Ive also tried calling the AC vendor (Jace AC) multiple times and nobody answers. How can they allow their customers to go this long without AC in the South Texas heat? And yet I get reminders from them every week that its time to renew my contract.... Tell me, why would anyone renew with service this awful? I would not recommend anyone contract with this company..

My dishwasher failed back in January. My kitchen was flooded and despite my best efforts to clean up the water, I did end up with some water damage. In order to get this damage repaired through my home insurance I need a report from the professional repair service explaining the cause of the failure. Thats where the story takes a turn for the worse:Having bought the comprehensive+ plan from Fidelity National Home Warranty, my dishwasher was covered. I filed a claim and they enlisted a contractor to come out and diagnose the unit so a repair could be made. The repair man was not at all an experienced repair technician. He was on the phone with someone else the entire time asking them what to do. My dishwasher is a bi-level dishwasher, meaning there are two identical small dishwashers in one unit. Only the top unit failed, meaning that the lower unit had 100% known-good parts. The repair man didnt seem to know what to do with this information. He ordered parts can back two weeks later to install them only to find out that the wiring had been burned ( he would already know that if he had done a thorough diagnosis the first time). He had to order more parts and we had to wait another two weeks for him to come back. When he came back and installed the new wiring harness and other parts, the unit still didnt work. He was on the phone for a long time and never figured it out. I explained that I needed the report and he said he has to give it to fidelity and they will give it to me. Nope. Never got it, my dishwasher still doesnt work and my kitchen is still damaged (as of May 18 2021)Fidelity wont answer the phone unless you pretend to make a new claim, then they will forward you to the existing claims line and you wait for hours and hours without speaking to a person. They dont have a callback service either. We have tried several times, waiting multiple hours on hold each time and we have gotten nowhere. We finally just gave up and bought a new dishwasher last Sunday and I am on hold as I am writing this just trying to get a copy of the report so I can get my kitchen repaired!!!

In many instances from different phones, whenever I call Fidelity, their representative will state that they have a problem with their phone line, and then they will hang up after having had me on hold for three to four hours each call. This company abuses its consumers, and leaves individuals without a properly working AC unit, and I pay for my service on a timely basis, each month. I currently reside in 110 to 120 degree weather in the external property. The temperature inside my residence is at least 10 degrees higher than the 110 to 120F range. So, Ive had Fidelity National Home Warranty for almost 7 years. No real issues until recently when my AC stopped working properly. It took FOREVER to get in touch with them because their phone system has been experiencing technical difficulties for weeks.I was finally able to get in touch with them on Sunday and they rushed a technician out to my house yesterday. I took half a day off of work to wait for the technician. Initially, I was told that the issue was my filter (which I had changed two weeks prior). Whatever, I replaced the filter again. Then the tech told me my compressor was bad but that hed fixed it.Today, I got home from work and my house was 95 degrees. So, apparently nothing was actually fixed. Ive tried to call the home warranty company three time and have spent almost 2 hours on hold (combined). All three times, the system disconnected the call. So, I reached out via facebook messenger b/c there is no email address. My messages are being ignored.I waited about an hour then tried calling again. However, it is now after hours so I was only able to reach their emergency hotline. Apparently, complete loss off AC qualifies as an emergency but not when you already have started a claim. I was told to call back during regular hours. I explained that, due to the technical difficulties their telephone system has been experiencing, I cannot reach anyone during normal business hours. I also asked if there is a customer service email address. The answer is no.So, pretty much, I was told they cant help me and the only method available to contact someone who can help me hasnt been functioning properly in weeks.I 100% do not recommend this company.

Under no circumstance should you buy a Home Warranty for Fidelity. I was a happy customer from 2012-2018 and I referred bunches of people to Fidelity. I pride myself on giving credit where its due, good or bad. This company has turned into a nightmare. I had my AC replaced 2 summers ago and then was denied replacement service for 17 y/o microwave. I stopped service after that. Today the compressor went out on this new AC. I attempted to get the work order so that I could try to use the manufacturer warranty, since obviously fidelity would do nothing for me. I was told they didnt have it and that they wouldnt help me. I begged and pleated, stating that I am a single mother with her elderly father in a Phx home, mid Aug. Sorry, we cant help you. Well, Im sorry too fidelity, i have live in the fasted growing city my whole life and have more connections than you can dream of. I will go out of my way from now on to ensure that no one I know ever uses your company. As for the people I did refer, the next message I send will be to them. I am just returning the courtesy: Sorry, I cant help you.

After spending hours on hold, the call ended. Called again and waited with no response. Left message with no callback. Finally called again. After waiting for over an hour, someone answered. After explaining the problem, no one ever showed up and I was charged a $75 copay for what? No one called, no service was completed. On another occasion, they sent a company to fix our AC. They didnt even know how to fix the issue. Really? The last time we called, again no one showed up and they cancelled our warranty because we stopped payment on the $75 copay. Dont use this company. Theyre criminals.

I have been waiting 2 weeks for a response from the company regarding a slab leak. I have no running water and a little one at home is not making this experience enjoyable with Fidelity. I hope to hear something in the coming days or i will definitely have to escalate this beyond just Fidelity.

This service was requested July 14th and we still have not received our repair.Ive been on hold with customer service as I type for 1 hour and 20 minutes and counting.I can only come to the conclusion that your company does not have any intention of solving my problem that I paid in advance for.You leave no choice for me but to report your FALSE PROMISES to the insurance board but more importantly I will be posting my documented attempts to get you to perform the repairs required under our contract to SOCIAL MEDIA and will do all in my power to out your company for its failures and POSSIBLE FRAUD*** 9/7/21Repairs have been completed and we thank you very much. An air conditioner in the desert during fire season is necessary and not having one all summer was difficult. It is working now and we are grateful for that.RichardThis email is to confirm my earlier call regarding the service on your work order # 8291913. We expect completion of this work order to fall outside the 3-day period set forth by the State of Nevada, and we are committed to keeping you updated on the status of your claim.Status:Repairs/Services Required: A/CEstimated Complete Time: 7/28/2021Reason for Delay: Replacement on order.

6 WEEKS WITHOUT A REFRIGERATOR AND COUNTINGDo not waste your time and/or money. We moved into a new house and realised, after 3 days and having put all our food in, that the refrigerator wasnt working. It took them a week to send someone and a month to send someone more specialized to know which part needs to be ordered. Now we dont know how much longer we are gonna be without a fridge. A lot of food has been wasted and whatever we managed to salvage was moved to a friends fridge. You would have thought they would have been faster to resolve it with something so essential like a refrigerator, or completely replace it if making it work is gonna take more than a month. I wish I had claim the insurance company and hadnt wasted $75 for the first visit...not using them ever again.Update 07/18Its been a week since the second technician arrive, we dont know anything, no one has informed us about how long its going to be. Their spokesperson, who contacted us through our realtor, told us she would find out whats happening 8 days ago...still waiting.Update 7/21 GOOD NEWS!Our Realtor contacted the same spokesperson, we got a phone back from FNHM notifying they couldnt find the part and we would get an e-mail with 2 options, either new fridge or cash. The e-mail was sent on Tuesday, just a day after...glad this finally got resolved.

Nothing is ever covered by the warranty and have been unable to get any customer service rep on the line because their hold times have been hours. Longest I lasted was 2 hours before I gave up. I got someone once, but told me I reached wrong dept. and hung up on me.Second time I waited 1 hour and 30min just to have the agent be unable to hear me.Reason I am calling? They owe me $400 for out of pocket expenses they said they will reimburse for. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS OPTION!

This company is the worst ever. the air-conditioner stopped working and the company that was contracted to come out never called with an appointment. When I called them, they were scheduling 8 days out and told me that I should call Fidelity and ask for a different company that could come out earlier to look at the unit. Fidelity refused to look for a different company and when I called back Maxs Heating and Air, their appointment time was now 15 days out. I received no solution when I called back Fidelity with this information. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and told my real estate agent to never use them. After spending 3 hours on the phone, they were able to find someone who could come the next day. Also, their phone service sucks! Kept getting disconnected. It took my agent calling the sales rep for Fidelity before they took my concerns seriously.

I am very unsatisfied with Fidelity Home Warranty! The company offers zero follow up when it comes to a claimed filed. My Air Conditioner went out I had to wait a whole week before the AC techs came to repair. Now my Pool needs repair just a simple gasket and it has been 3 weeks with no update..... I first signed on with this company after looking at the reviews and I did see this was good company. NOW I REGRET RENEWING MY CONTRACT.

This has been the worst experience and I do not recommend Fidelity for any of your services. I have to give them 1 but zero is a better example.

One of the worst companies I have dealt with. I had a AC unit issue and they were quick to charge my fee, however when I called 4 more times to see if they can actually fix the issue they put my account on hold because I didnt pay the $75 . I have been waiting for for over a month to have my AC Unit repaired, however getting a hold of them on the phone is close to impossible. I am so sick of this company.

Used them to repair broken AC. Took 2-3 business days for each communication. AC is broken in the middle of summer. On day 14 currently, they estimate it will be repaired on day 20.Local vendor was very responsive, but at the mercy of the warranty.20 days is way too long for an essential item like A/C in the middle of summer in Texas. Would not recommend their services.

So disappointing. We purchased a home and had to remove swamp cooler. They got right on it and determined an amount to pay our claim. But it has been weeks and after numerous calls and emails we are always disconnected before we can get to the agent we need to reach. I call daily at different times but always same result. They say they will call me back if disconnected but do not do it. I don’t know if they even got my email acceptance as they never responded.I would never use them again.

Absolutely terrible customer service. They charge you $75 for each work order, whether or not they can even send someone! When I called to follow up on a work order, the rep had no information. I could not get a response from anyone at this business until I blasted their social media accounts, which is not how I want to interact with a company. They couldnt even resolve my issue. Do not waste your money.

Dropped calls after holding forever and no help. Over an hour hold for the second time after a dropped call when I was told they needed to escalate the plumbing emergency, with a plumbing stoppage emergency and no help for our family. Absolutely inhumane. If we take things into our own hands, they will not reimburse us at all. Cannot start service call online either because of the nature of the emergency... says to call but cant ever get through. Probably planning on going out of business and stealing everyones money. So sad that a policy that is paid for and in place to protect you and your home and family... isnt there at all.

Our air conditioner broke 5 days ago and I called immediately with emergency because we live in Winnetka and the temperature was 105 degrees. After two days on Friday night the technician eventually showed up (who cared about our emergency, right?) and said that there is no parts available. So Saturday and Sunday we stayed under the heat, on Monday nobody called us! Nobody followed up! After spending two and a half hours calling the insurance company I could not get through! There is no email option to contact on the site - phone only! but nobody answers! Its horrible service! The heat waive is coming this weekend and Im terrified that my conditioner wont get repaired! Stay away from this company!

2 appointments and still not fixed now we have to wait another month and a half for a 3rd appointment to hopefully fix it. If they do it will be a total of 3 months without a dishwasher. Got ahold of a manager and he was absolutely no help either. Not sure what Im paying for if nothing get fixed or in a timely manner?Continued. And as you see below with all the comments from fidelity they are very concerned but they want you to message them. So I did and still no response they are soooo concerned I see. Its almost the same response for all the bad reviews (cut and paste).
