We have an 11yr old Black Lab mix who is everything to our family. We recently moved here and Peace, Love Pets is a new Vet for us. We never realized how much better pet care can be and the effect it could make on our dear boy. Its amazing their attention to detail and how many things our old Vet just never addressed. Our dogs behavior is more active and less itchy since going. Hes definitely a happy pup and so are we :)

Dont bring your pet here. I had made an appt for my pet dog waited over 2 weeks. When i got there they first couldnt find me in computer then was put on hold forever. Then she comes back and says there is no appt in the computer. Waited all this time to bring my dog. Dont go there very unreliable and unprofessional. Stated nothing they can do. Take your pet somewhere else.....

This office has gone through a huge change.It went corporate!Worst thing Dr Levitan could have done!Had a parking lot visit that really didn’t go so well with one of the male veterinarians. Dr Lobasso. His name isn’t even listed on the website!He made no eye contact with me. It was very uncomfortable speaking with him concerning my pets health issue.The vets assistants and helpers are all very kind and caring!I dont see why the office can’t “open up “ now for inside visits. I am not happy about not being able to go inside with my pet for the examination ! The world is opening up now with covid rules!Please allow us to come inside with our pets.

Couldn’t set up my appointment because they don’t offer the service I need, but they do get 5 stars because the receptionist was reeeeeally friendly.

Peace Love & Pets has been our Veterinary Care choice for over Five years. Dr. Jennifer Baillie has been my dogs Veterinarian for those five years as she is very knowledgeable & passionate & treats my dog Brownie like it was her own. Recently I had my 10 year old Puggle neutered and Dr Ballie & her associate Gina could not have done a better job. They put me at ease as they explained the entire process to me & they gave me a phone call after the procedure was finished to let me know that Brownie was recovering & doing well. Before I took him home both Gina & Dr. Baillie sat with me to explain the medicine & the symptoms to look for after surgery. I would not trust anyone else with my little pride & joy then Dr. Baillie & the entire Peace Love & Pets family.

Dr. Levitan has been caring for Jive since he was a pup. The office is incredibly responsive, and they always follow up with a phone call after a visit to make sure everything is alright. They love animals, and it shows.

They really love animals are reasonably priced and do great work. Very helpful.

I had been curious to try Peace Love Pets as I had wanted to find a new veterinarian for our new dog and two cats. We had a dog emergency yesterday (Saturday) and I decided to call and see if we could get in... they took us within a few hours. We thought the office was cool, clean and welcoming. The receptionist was very sweet, the vet assistant was very kind and caring and we were very happy with Dr. Bailey. Our dog was well cared for and loved and she is already feeling better. We are happy that we have finally found a veterinarians office that we look forward to having a long relationship with for our menagerie of pets.

Beautiful, clean and warm feeling the minute you walk in. then the girls working there are so friendly....minimal waiting time....Leo showed a small heart murmur at 2 yrs old...so I wanted my former doctor of over 10 years opinion......there is no one else I would trust except Dr cummins...so we drove 1/2 hr to his new work place and was pleasanty suprised with every aspect of the place.....this is our new veterinary practice.....

Excellent care, great follow up and reasonably priced compared to other veterinarians of this quality on Long Island. Went in on a Sunday, no appointment, with my sick cat. Turned out she had an abscess from a bite wound and needed anesthesia, surgery, and antibiotics. I figured it would would cost about a mortgage payment after hearing that. The bill was actually MUCH smaller than I thought it would be.Team there was great...everyone was very nice and seemed happy to be there. Doctor was excellent. Everything was explained well and done quickly.Would definitely bring my animals there again without hesitation...

As a physician I have the ability to speak with patients and develop a sense of what the problem is and establish a treatment plan. Vets do not have this and must make diagnoses without the critical information supplied by the patient. I like peace love and pets for several reasons. First they are vet internists with competence in their field, second they have specialized equipment that others do not possess such as ultrasound and finally they are all very caring to the pets and the owners. I say that for the entire staff. I travel almost 18 miles to bring my dog there.

I rescued my dog, Abbey 13 months ago. I picked Peace Love Pets as our first vet visit on a recommendation of a neighbor. We are thrilled we listened! The staff loves Abbey and treats her as well as I do! Abbey had to go through heart worm treatment and needed to spend an overnight. I was devistated, but could not believe the care we both got! Doctors called me to explain everything and be sure I was OK...and Abbey...boy did she get great care! They even took pics of her to share with me! I cannot say enough about the care, professionalism and overall experience whenever we are there. They dont push unnecessary treatments and medications and treat each pet as if it was theirs. I cannot recommend them enough!

This practice should be the poster child for Veterinary clinics everywhere. The staff is so professional,, personable and efficient. The vet I use, Dr. Kevin Cummins, is superb. He has a wonderful way with the animals (and their owners) and a depth of knowledge that gives the very best care possible. He is willing to refer a client if he feels it is in the best interest of the pet with no hesitation. He listens to and answers questions patiently and clearly. I cant say enough good things about him.

I was using Dr Levitan for years with no issues but it appears this place no longer puts the animals over money. Twice now Ive called for different reasons and have examined money is tight and asked if the vet services can be billed and twice I was told that is not an option and told to find another place that could do that. It is sad when a vet starts to put money before the animals that make thier practice. Now my dog is limping and because I just had a baby and havent been back to work yet I need to find a new vet that will see my dog and also extend the simple courtesy of billing me for the service. I am ashamed I ever suggested this practice to friends and family.

Never a bad experience and always treat my dog as if it was there own. Love that they are open 7 days a week. Makes it easier for me to bring my dog in.

Dr Levitan saved my dogs life when she diagnosed her with adisons disease when all other vets couldn’t find a reason for my dogs declining health. It wasn’t until she collapsed that Dr. Levitan was brought in to the emergency room. We got four extra years with our beloved Pet. Sad to say it is now time to make the decision to put her down due to a massive mass in her stomach. Dr. Levitan couldn’t be more concerned about my feelings at this time. She held my hand, cried with me, called me after hours during her own home time and helped guide me to the right decision for me and my pet. I would recommend this office highly.

We have been using Dr Kevin Cummings for 25 years for all of our pets. Everyone who answers the phone to schedule appointments or checking in and out, as well as the technicians are outstanding. If you do not live local it is worth the trip, your pets deserves the best!!

I will always remember how sympathetic the entire staff was when we had to put my 18 year old cat to sleep. They made my kids a paw print from a mold to remember our beloved Stormy. They also sent us a condolence card which really moved me. I have seen every doctor at the office and one is better than the next.

Our dog has or had Nasal Cancer and was treated with radiation almost one year ago. He now has a progressive irritation of his nasal canals called Rhinitis. Basically his nasal passages have been damaged by the radiation. We made the decision to bring our Dog to this Practitioner for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy thinking it might help. The first late afternoon appointment we arrived on time from a fair distance away, about 40 minutes or more one way and were taken in fairly quickly. We met with the Doctor discussed the treatment protocol, decided to leave Paul there for his first treatment. We were told it would take approximately one hour. It was suggested we go out maybe get something to eat and come back. Just as we were sitting down I received a call that the a consult for his chest x-rays cleared him for the treatment and they were starting. When we arrived back about 45 minutes to an hour later they had not started. By the time he was done and we paid $1400.00 which did include 5 treatments which they said they would bill the next day when we brought him back but interestingly billed us that evening, we left arriving back home by about 8:45 Pm. On balance even though the Doctor made a negative comment about me in front of my wife even before she spent more then a few minutes with me I still thought our visit was productive.For the next three consecutive visits our appointments were for 9 Am. And for each visit they were not prepared for us and kept me waiting for at least an hour or more to start the procedure. They took our dog in the back and most likely examined him briefly took vital signs and then caged him until they had someone to start the therapy. Each and every time there was either an emergency or some excuse. They were not organized and they should have had someone scheduled to do the treatment in advance. I was not dropping our dog off we were waiting because we live about 20 miles approximately away from the Veterinary and they knew this full well from the start.When I approached the Principle Practitioner to discuss this she retreated like many do when they think they may not win the debate and thats when I decided this was not the place for us. In subsequent emails to this individual I attempted to be contrite and explain my point of view and she decided not to continue treating our Dog and then in another response became very critical of me.I am not a stranger to this sort of behavior. I am the client and the patient happens to be our Dog. We are the priority when a commitment is made by the provider. Its not the other way around. We did not choose this facility for their convenience. I am flexible as it relates to emergencies but I am not going to be the victim of a dysfunctional process. We were there on time every day and with that there is a certain level of expectation. This was not a personality contest nor was anything being given away. We made the commitment and the investment and seemed obvious that was not important to this Practice. Our dog began bleeding from his nose the moment he arrived on the third day and instead of attending to his nose bleed it was more important for the Tech to weigh him as hes bleeding instead of attending to the situation at hand. He was just weighed the day before and nothing changed. Its called triage and prioritizing.The only critical comments I made in subsequent emails were the outward condition of the facility and the one employee that was so loud that it was disruptive waiting in the waiting area maybe 6 to 8 feet away. I am not even sure if she realizes how loud she is. But a nice person it seemed.The following week I requested records sent to another Veterinary Facility and as I was reading over the records it stated the reason for the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy was for Hepatic Hyperplasia which is empirically wrong it was for Nasal Rhinitis and Mucocytis. This is very telling as to the inattentive nature of at least our experience at Peace Love Pets.

The medical staff has made every effort to solve a difficult medical problem with our cat. They have been professional in all suggestions and treatment. They follow up and make knowledgeable suggestions on how to best continue. The office staff is friendly and welcoming to both me and my cat. I trust their judgement and would recommend them.

I bring my dog to Peace Love Pets for general care and recently brought him in for neutering and they did an outstanding job. Prior to the surgery, I received emails reminding me of my appointment and providing pre-surgical information. After surgery, they followed up with a call to see how he was doing and answered all of my questions. Post-care instructions were clear and they even printed them out on a take home sheet. The doctors are caring and truly love what they do. The staff is friendly and helpful. I also find the reception desk folks to be patient and accommodating. After some bad experiences elsewhere, I can highly recommend Peace Love Pets.

When my cat was in pain and my regular vet said they were getting ready to go home as it was close to 6:30 p.m. I called peace love pets and they told me to bring him right in. They took a sonogram and immediately told me he had urinary crystals. Gave me an antibiotic in case he also had a urinary tract infection and some pain pills. I had to make him drink water which I did by adding it to his canned food. I had all of his records transferred from his previous vet and peace love pets has been his vet ever since. I also recommended them to my son and daughter in law and they have also transferred their 2 cats records and love the care their senior cats get now. They are open 7 days a week which is wonderful and all the vets are very loving and caring as are the front end staff and the techs.

The doctors and staff at Peace Love Pets are amazing. My dog weighs almost 70 lbs and the doctors and techs get down on the floor to treat him. Hes not the least bit afraid of going to the vet because they make it a positive experience for him.

We have been going to this practice for about two years- we brought our French bulldog- who had been in 4 other homes/shelters. He had some issues- but most serious was his heart problem. This veterinary office is fantastic! Every doctor shows such affection for the animals and spends a lot of time with the animal being examined. After the examination, the animals family is given an in depth report of any findings or concerns. I love how the doctors dont make one feel rushed. They also follow up the next day to make sure our pet is doing well. I cant recommend this office enough!!

Went here for a Guinea pig issue. Unfortunately, they dont treat guinea pigs. Tiffany went out of her way to make phone calls and find a vet that takes care of Guinea pigs. When I did a search online for a place to try next, I was lucky to find Peace Love Pets because of all the rave reviews.... it was a chance worth taking. Well, today I feel a large sense of relief that my dog will be able to thrive soon because of the care Dr. Levitan and her staff has shown for her well-being. If you are at your wits end with vets offices that mistreat you or your pet in anyway, I strongly urge you to go see Dr. Levitan and her very understanding and professional staff at Peace Love Pets. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for me already and today was only our first visit. We have some follow-ups to do, but for the first time in 8 months, I am hopeful and confident my dogs condition will finally be taken care of properly and the days of guessing will be over. I must admit that this practice has been the most caring, the most accommodating, most professional - just overall wonderful! The entire experience is top notch: from scheduling appointments, being welcomed at the door - and most of all, Dr. Kevin Cummins! I give this group an A++++ rating!

I always have a wonderful experience when I need to take my pet in for a visit. The staff is friendly and Dr. Cummins is wonderful. He takes excellent care of my pet. I trust him implicitly.

The vet is supposed to be great at what she does; however, if it was not for LIV in Syosset our puppy would be dead. They botched a surgery, tried to cover their tracks, lied and lied again. We are out over 10k from their mistakes. People be aware that this is not the place to bring your pets. You have been warned!!

Dr. Levitan & Dr. Eylers have treated my dogs and are TERRIFIC. They treat their patients as if they were their own pets. The office staff and techs are GREAT as well. I do not know the other vets but I am sure they are as loving and caring as well.

All of the staff was wonderful and helpful when my dog wasnt feeling well. The doc was thorough and listened to my concerns and treated my dpg accordingly. Je is feeling much better now!!

Peace, Love, Pets Veterinarian Care is a top-notch animal hospital. Owner Dr. Diane Levitan, VMD is a board-certified Internal Medicine Vet, who is an excellent diagnostician. They have the latest diagnostic equipment including sonogram, radiology, and cat scan machines to help your furry family members. When veterinarians want the best doc to do sonograms on their own pets, they come to Diane!

Dr.Levitan is awesome! My dog has a heart issue and needed dental work, I was very nervous. Dr.Levitan answered all my questions and she was very gentle with my dog. He came through the procedure fine. Dr.Levitan made sure he had pain meds for home and followed up the following day with a phone call checking on him. I am very happy with how my dog was treated at her hospital.

Simply put, Dr. Levitan of Peace Love Pets is a superstar. My cat has IBD, and in two years I visited ten vets, including a vet that does house calls and another that specializes in feline health.
