New to region and our condo, I found Dryer Vent Wizard, and signed them up to come clean our dryer vent. I was impressed by the mostly rave reviews. Telephone contact person Michelle and our technician James were both cheerful, congenial, and professional. He spent about forty five minutes here. I appreciated that he wore a mask as we had asked, due our family’s risks from the virus. The service is not cheap but we received five star service. The cost is an investment in the future: every time we run our newly cleaned and more efficient dryer, it will save us money too. Very satisfied customers!

He cleaned out dryer vent for us and made sure everything was in working order with no fire concerns. Working great now and he did all the clean up. We used this service to clean our dryer ducts and they didnt clean the vent connected to the dryer. It has since backed up and is ripping and tearing clothes. I have left three messages and one of them for the owner with still no returned phone call. I do not recommend them. We way too much money for this service and since I can no longer get a response I am forced to call my bank and dispute the charges.

James assessed the issue with the dryer hose coming disconnected from the output vent in the ceiling, made recommendations, and was collaborative with me on taking the course of action. Quickly made the repair and we are super pleased.

I would 100% recommend Dryer Vent Wizard!! James was my technician and he was amazing! I had the flexible foil dryer vent and it was too long of a run and my dryer wasn’t drying good at all. James recommended the fix and it is perfect! Ran real pipe out of the side of my house, much shorter run. AND he cleaned out my dryer. Timely, professional, courteous, effective, but way overpriced. I had them come out to fix a dryer vent issue. They fixed the issue, but charged $290.88 for a 45 minute fix and the only parts they used were some spray sealant. How is this justified? What is their hourly rate?

My husband met with Jim Todd and said he was very timely and professional. Had we been given an initial heads up (I asked but knew when the response was I only schedule appointments that the cost was going to be high) we wouldnt have scheduled. The total cost was over $500 with the basic cleaning being $220. I realize thats cheaper than a house fire but we just dont have that kind of money. My main complaint would be sticker shock and it was my bad for not reading the reviews. I strongly believe this is a necessary service and if we could have afforded it our job would have been done correctly vs. the guy on social media offering dryer vent clean out for $60 with his shop vac.

I had an appointment scheduled for between 8:30-10:30 and the tech, James, was here at 8:25! I was very pleased. He checked our system thoroughly and explained to me in terms I could understand what the problem was and how it can be fixed. He went over the cost of everything and options before beginning any work. Considering the amount of work and time spent, I felt the cost was appropriate. He explained everything he did and how often a cleaning is recommended. He was courteous and professional. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs help with vent issues.

I can not say enough good things about this company or my service technicians Jim Todd... I needed a dryer vent cleaning after going through 3 dryers and not getting the clothes dried, I called dryer vent wizard. Jim came out and found not only was our dryer vent completely clogged, it was installed horribly wrong under the house and with the wrong material. He fixed it and it is working great! They called 45 min prior to arrival and showed up right on time. We went over some basics of ways to keep the vents clean and then he cleaned the vent and showed me what he took out...a LOT! This was causing longer drying times and was a definite fire hazard. I’d highly recommend them as they are very professional and do a great job!!!

Gentleman who answered the phone did so with a *sigh* very negative first experience. Beware, they want to charge for a technician to come out prior to verifying if their prices are even remotely competitive. From other reviews here I determined they are most likely doing this because they are over priced and/or hard selling items not needed. While I was open to hearing if other items might need to be addressed, I know what I want to have done and the specs for the work, still would not provide an approximation I could check against competitors. Will be going elsewhere.

This company has taken great care of us for years. We always rely on James Hammond, and he is terrific! James does a solid clean/repair, or whatever is needed, and the price is worth every penny. I highly recommend James and Dryer Vent Wizard.

Had them come to a rental property to clean a line, without contacting me they put on a new roof vent and charged almost $500. I did not approve this and the lady on the phone is terrible

Yesterday I had a dryer repair person in our home. He recommended that we have the dryer vent cleaned (but did not do it and recommended another company that would NOT come out JUST to do a dryer vent - they wanted me to hire them to do our vents also). I called Dryer Vent Wizard and they were happy to send someone out the next day. Jim Todd came out and looked at our dryer vent. He measured the air flow and determined that we did NOT need the dryer vent cleaned - air was moving just fine. He did not charge us for the trip out and was very professional when explaining the details to us. The company will contact us next year (by postcard) to remind us that it may be time to have it checked again.I HIGHLY recommend Dryer Vent Wizard and Jim Todd!

Service was quick and reasonably priced. I had all my questions answered and then some. Jim was of great help to me!

Our dryer was taking longer and longer to dry our clothes, and so we had Driver Vent Wizard come out to clean out the exhaust line. The technician was great, and customer service oriented. Our dryer has now been working in half the time that it took to fully dry a full load of clothes before-hand. I would highly recommend this company.

First off, let me say that I had 2 other companies come out that were NOT successful in unclogging my dryer vent. James from Dryer Vent Wizard called me and 2 days later was out and was successful in fixing my dryer vent. Fast, prompt service. Wasn’t cheap but remember, you get what you pay for so I was glad to pay the amount since he did an excellent job fixing my problem.

I needed a cover to keep birds out of my dryer vent. The wizard came and replaced my old outside vent with a new magnetic flap. It looks good and works.

Contacted Dryer Vent Wizard cleanout my vent from the dryer to the outside of my home. After reading good and bad reviews of so many providers, I was ready to be hard sold when the tech got there.I received a quite that was a bit higher than I thought it should be but I really had no frame of reference except for my last cleaning which was done with a Groupon.So first of all James is the type of employee that I would want if I owned this company. His work ethic and professionalism was great and lasted from the first contact through the completion of the job.I thought my pipe was clogged but it turned out that it was clogged and disconnect deep into my house. James worked hard to clear the pipe and quickly decided that it seemed that the pipe was disconnected. I opened up a part of my basement ceiling after a camera showed that the pipe was disconnected. What a fire hazard I had. The entire floor cavity was filled with lint and the pipe was the same way from years and years of lint. It seems likely that this disconnected prior to our years of owning the home. This means that my Groupon cleaning may of the cause or at least missed the real issue of the disconnected pipe.I feel so much better about the safety and efficacy of our dryer now. I know that the vent is properly hooked up and clean. With all this said, i think i got the right deal with Dryer Vent Wizard.

The technician was very nice and explained everything. When the technician arrived and checked our vent running across our basement we found the builder did not install the vent correctly and it came apart and the lint was going all over our basement each time we used the dryer. After the technician fixed the vent issue we have not had any problems since and the technician even cleaned up after himself. I will definitely use Dryer Vent Wizard again in the future.

The technician from Dryer Vent Wizard did a great job with the installation of a new vent pipe for our dryer. The service was quick and they show you the air flow speed before and after the work so you can see the difference. They also give you the price quote before they do the work so you know what to expect. Our clothes get dry about 20% faster than they used to which is saving us money and time.

When I bought my home, I had a general contractor install my dryer. It was shoddily done and finally came uncoupled and blew lint into the laundry room and over walls, hanging clothes, etc. The serviceman from Dryer Vent looked at the problem, told me what he would do, showed me the quality of the parts and then did exactly what I wanted. He did an excellent job and cleaned the area up. I would totally recommend the company and their service personnel.

Nice people but they wanted to charge over $500 for to clean out one dryer vent with two new outside covers at $70 each WOW!! Don’t waste your time use a shop vac and find someone with a longer ladder. Update:.........Rick thanks for the well written professional response. I agree with you that a shop vac is not a good idea. I did some research on Facebook this morning and found someone else to do the same work for under $200. I am sure you are great company. I just can’t see spending $500 for the work that was going to be completed. Best of luck to you and your company.

They refuse to give you a price range over the phone. But, they want to charge you 50.00 to come give you a quote.I have never had my dryer cleaned before. I asked the receptionist to give me a maximum price or a range of typical jobs, just so I could get an idea. I told her I just wanted to know if typical jobs are around 50.00 or 300.00, so I can plan accordingly. She stated that someone would call me back that day (since my appointment was the very next morning). NO ONE called me back.I called the company at 8:15 am (my appointment was at 8:30 am), and asked why no one called me back. The receptionist stated she would ask the owner right away. She says because I live in a condo building they need the technician to come here to give me the quote, but I am still getting charged the 50.00 inspection fee. So, they have to charge me 50.00 to give me a typical maximum price quote!? That is ridiculous! I did NOT ask for an exact quote, I asked what is the maximum they typically charge ONLY so I can get an idea about how much money I was about to spend.I asked to speak to the owner, and she told me the owner was unavailable. Not even 30 seconds later I asked her if the owner would waive the fee, and she said, let me ask the owner.. I thought he was unavailable to talk to me? I guess the owner did not want to deal with the customers. He wouldnt waive the fee.What terrible customer service!!

Jim showed up early which was nice. Showed me how to clean my lint trap properly much appreciated.

They purposely farmed our condo association of 110 units out to different subcontractors on different days to avoid issuing us the group rate (for at least 10 units) they told us we did not qualify for. We have seen more of their vans out servicing multiple units at least 10 times since the original complaint. You cannot tell me that we did not hit at least the 10 unit minimum.

Wish i could rate this place lower than a star! I was referred to Dryer Vent wizard by an appliance repairman who thought it was my vent (runs up through roof) not my dryer that was the problem. I called the number given me by the repairman and scheduled a time to come out, was quoted a price over the phone of $90 to $160 depending on length of vent. I was ok with that. within minutes of arriving, technician is telling my daughter (it was her house) its $35 to clean the lint screen area, $285 plus to replace the cap on vent pipe on roof it was newer than most in the neighborhood, $265 to actually clean the vent pipe, $49 trip charge, AND $99 to replace washer hoses!!! They are less than $20 at Menards. They were only there to clean out lint! why does DRYER vent wizard want to mess with my washer???? He had to be paid on commission for massive upselling. He didnt care what my daughter had to say, kept interrupting. He was supposed to save the lint so we could see how much he got out, but a sudden wind burst blew it to kingdom come (his words). Had we gone with his suggestions it would be over $700. Terrible company, shady sales. Also, he refused to leave until he was paid. I called the company and requested the owner call me. Tech said he was on a golf retreat. The tech finally left when he realized I wasnt coming over there

I should have read the reviews. I went on a recommendation from someone else. They tried to charge me $550 which seems to be a common theme in these reviews. I refused service on 2 of the items and still paid over $300. Felt I had no other options at that point as I needed the vent cleaned. Will not recommend in my neighborhood of 200+ houses.

I called Dryer Vent Wizard for 5 days straight, and kept being told that theyll get back to me. I was told that the owner would call me back to give me a quote on the job, but he never did. After 5 business days (1 week), I had to call someone else. They finally called me back after 10 days. I guess they would be good had they actually called back to give me a quote in a reasonable timeframe. Their quote ended up being twice as much as everyone else quoted me, so it all worked out for me in the long run.

The tech did a wonderful job at my house! We remodeled our house recently and come to find out the prior contractor didnt hook the tubing from the dryer to the outside vent, So all the lint was venting into the crawlspace! He was very helpful & knowledgeable and got our problem fixed in no time, I will definitely be using DVW again!
