Everyone was so helpful and considerate of our family’s needs after the passing of our father. I can honestly say they went above all our expectations. We had forgotten a picture of our father that we really wanted displayed at his service and they quickly printed it out so we could have it. We didn’t even think to ask them to do that, but they realized it was important to us. Thank you so much for being so compassionate during a time when we were all a little frazzled and not thinking clearly.

The people at Schoedinger on Zollinger Rd. were so helpful, caring, and kind during a very hard time in my and my kid’s lives. They took care of everything for my wife, the love of my life. They listened to all our wishes and made sure everything was done beautifully for her. They all went the extra mile to make sure things were done professionally and caringly. Our family has used Schoedinger Funeral Service for many years. They have always performed above and beyond our expectation. I can think of no other business, in any field, that provides the level of customer service that Schoedinger provides. They are second to none when it comes to the level of care they provide to a family. A person may have more than one wedding in their lifetime, however, they will only have one funeral, which has to be perfect. Schoedinger provides an outstanding level of service that ensures families will have that perfect funeral for their loved one.

My father passed away following an extended illness at home in early October. He prearranged the basic details for his services. I called in with no information whatsoever and Carl quickly located the arrangements although they were made over 20 years ago. The team arrived quickly at our home and showed incredible compassion and respect for my father. Carl fit us in for a planning meeting the very next morning.The entire staff at the Worthington chapel were nothing short of phenomenal to work with. One would have though that our family was the only arrangements that they were managing. Carls kind and helpful manor was such a wonderful blessing coming on the heals of a very agonizing passing for my father. Im not sure he realized how much I need that peace at that very moment.I feel that we have found new friends at Schoedinger and no doubt will turn to their loving support when this difficult time arises again. Disappointed with mask policy as not following state guidelines. They were ok with my state approved medical exemption for a mask when I entered then later came by and said it was required due to state guidelines and medically exemption not recognized. But state guidelines do allow medical exemptions and I had documentation. Would appreciate both consistency and to be aware of the current state guidelines. So I just left the showing.Everything else was good though the short time I was there so might eventually recommend again but only after covid especially if anyone has a medical exemption like breathing or hearing issues or other approved disabilities as they will not allow them to be off.

Everything was exemplary. Every staff person we met was polite, compassionate and knowledgeable. Many of our questions were answered before we even asked them. During our time of extreme stress and sadness, we felt well cared for at every turn. We would highly recommend without reservation.

Our family has nothing but compliments for the Shoedinger Funeral personnel. Every member of the Shoedinger staff was professional and caring throughout our experience. Every detail, from picking my Dad up at our home when he passed, to helping to arrange the Burial and final Military Honors went off without one problem, allowing us to focus on saying goodbye to our Dad without worry.We buried my Dad in April when they were adjusting to all the changing regulations around COVID. We were so lucky to have a funeral, but were restricted to 50 guests in the room at once for Calling Hours per COVID restrictions. Roger, our Director, was patient and respectful of our huge family and constant flow of guests who came to pay respects to my Dad - often testing the room capacity! Also, the newly renovated Zollinger Road location is bright and beautiful!I highly recommend Schoedinger as the Funeral service provider of choice for your loved ones.

Our father passed in January 2009. Per some lifelong friends’ recommendations, Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service was chosen to handle his funeral arrangements. Our mother was very pleased with Schoedinger’s services, prices, and staff.Later in 2009, she decided to be proactive and work with Schoedinger to pre-pay for her funeral arrangements so her family would not have this task in a time of sorrow. I accompanied her when she completed these arrangements. This process was conducted with professional, friendly, straightforward, & understandable communication. Plenty of time was provided to answer her questions and respond to her concerns. We walked out feeling accomplished and satisfied.In July 2020, our mother passed. Working with Schoedinger to execute her arrangements could not have been easier, smoother, nor better, especially with pandemic impacts. Everything (transport, paperwork, obituary, funeral services, & emotional support) was conducted with professional, thorough, kindness and caring in a clean and pleasing environment.Based on my experiences, I recommend Schoedinger for funeral and cremation services.

We used Schoedinger for the funerals of both my mother and father. There were logistics involved in transporting them back to our home state. It all went flawlessly from beginning to end. Throw Covid on top of everything and it still went smoothly. Much appreciation to the Schoedinger team.

All of these positive reviews must be fake ones created by the owner. My grandparents (unfortunately) prepaid a massive amount to this funeral home for their service and I guess the check was already long since cashed and spent, as they really didnt seem to care about our requests or details. A perfect example of this, we asked for a specific Beatles song to be played, Here Comes the Sun and instead a random Beatles song, A Day in the life played, with the extremely inappropriate (for a funeral) lyrics, He blew his mind out in a car. The embarrassing faux pas on behalf of Schoedinger just didnt end. Absolutely do not prepaid for a service here, or expect a real slipshod job.

My family recently lost my 98-year old dad in the midst of the covid pandemic. Since Schoedinger’s Funeral Home has always taken care of our family’s needs for as long as I can remember, it was a natural decision to call on you once again. When our mother passed August 15,2020, Schoedinger was by our side 100% of the time when we needed them. Nikki is fantastic and handled everything perfectly. They did an amazing job with Covid 19 and we’re able to allow us to social distance the proper way. I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism and kindness during a difficult time.

Our family lives in different states and once our mothers health was in decline I visited Schoedinger Funeral Home on Zollinger Road in Arlington to make the arrangements we knew we would need. Everyone from start to finish was very caring and sympathetic to our needs. I spent time with Erika Collaros a Funeral Director there and she was absolutely the best in explaining the process and making sure we had the arrangements well planned and finalized. When the time came she had everything in order and as difficult as the day was, she and Shoedingers made the day go very smoothly and help to make it memorable and a positive experience. Its never easy loosing a loved one but Schoedinger was there every step of the way helping to meet our needs at a difficult time.

When Our Family experienced a very sudden and unexpected death of Our Son Scott Lytten, the Team at Schoedinger’s North Chapel were amazing. COVID-19 constricts the traditional gathering in specific ways and presents new considerations in others yet all went smoothly. In the midst of COVID, Schoedinger’s helped us take care of all the details of our daughter’s arrangements and also helped us celebrate her life with a beautiful photo video that our family and friends could view. You can tell that they are a family business because they take family to heart.

The passing of my father came sooner than anyone of us or any physician had expected. Stunned and in shock by his passing, my family and I were in a state of confusion and pain. Fortunately for us we had the guidance of true professionals at Schoedinger Funeral to walk us through the fog. A special appreciation must go out to Kevin Schoedinger, Erika Collaros, and Mark Dettmer who managed to take the most painful moment in our families lives and turn it into a beautiful celebration of life for an exceptional man and father (all while abiding by COVID guidelines).

My mother came from Florida to live with us to fight her cancer and receive treatment at the James cancer hospital. She was with us for over a year when she lost her battle. She passed away at 1:15PM on Christmas Eve. I called Schoedinger a few minutes after mom passed. I had previously talked to the wonderful folks at the Schoedinger funeral home on Zollinger so they knew what we were dealing with already. After my call to them to alert them that mom was gone they dispatched their crew to come to our home to pick up mom. They arrived at our house literally 15 to 20 minutes after my call to them. At our home they were sensitive and efficient. Mom asked to be cremated and wanted to be buried next to my dad and also wanted to be sprinkled in Florida where she lived and they gave me a small pouch to travel with and we purchased a marble container for the burial. Schoedinger arranged with the cemetery in Upper Sandusky for us to be able to take mom to her her final resting place. Make no mistake, Schoedinger funeral services are so professional and have dealt with everything over their long history and relieve you of so much stress over a very stressful time. The Schoedinger family was so professional, comforting and supportive from the minute we walked through the door. While the sudden passing of my father was unexpected, Schoedinger expressed compassion and gently walked us through every step of the process. The consolidated all things from the casket and service to the flowers so that we did not have to meet with multiple companies during this process. They went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was handled for us.

We sadly lost our father on March 4th. I want to start by sharing the positive things about our experience with Schoedinger North Chapel. The chapel is quite lovely with windows and a nice reception area. It was recently updated.I want to thank Andrew Hoover the Celebrant for his genuine kindness and empathy. The first thing he did was offer his condolences. He worked hard to capture the essence of Dad through our stories and words. He was especially kind at the burial and even offered to lead a song we had chosen.Roger is one of the director’s and he remained professional but distant. We have a difficult family dynamic and this can’t be the first time Schoedinger Directors encountered this. We just lost our father. Please show empathy to all family members for their loss.There was an opportunity for Nikki Lewis as the director assigned to our case to be much more understanding. I went to the chapel and brought Nikki the photos for the slides. She did not offer her condolences and told me I needed to edit the photos to 30. She did help me edit them on her computer, but again...I just lost my father days earlier. A warm genuine “I’m sorry for your loss” would have helped.It simply felt “all business” with the exception of Andrew Hoover.

Everything was great. They provided excellent service with 100% respect for the family. I was coming from North Carolina for my Grandmothers viewing and was running late. They agreed to extend it for a while to allow me to attend.

Schoedinger made a difficult time, much easier. Tim Wiseman, the funeral director took care of all of our needs in a very kind and caring way. There was no pressure and the visitation was perfect without any extra stress to us. Thank You!
