Dave Fox rebuilt my 2-floor back porch, maintaining Victorian style, craftsmanship, colors and design. Everyone involved was professional, courteous, and communicative. Highly recommend!

Whoever was driving the black suv with his name on it and a license plate that starts with guh was reckless. At 6 a.m. in snow and sleet conditions, the person tried to force me out of my lane, use their high beams to blind me, and then passed me on the shoulder while conditions on the road were horrible. I’m shocked they didn’t wreck. I did nothing to warrant the ridiculous road rage behavior this person was demonstrating. I would avoid this company based on this experience alone.

We had our kitchen and living rooms remodeled and were absolutely blown away by all members of the Dave Fox team. Dave Fox remodeled our kitchen. We had the load-bearing wall removed between our kitchen and family room. The old kitchen was gutted and a new kitchen was designed to include a two tiered island with support columns to replace the load-bearing wall. The former family room became the new dining room. Our new open floorplan includes more storage space and seating--creating a great place to entertain. Dave Fox staff members were very thorough and helpful during all stages of the project. The finished project turned out better than I imagined. I enjoy cooking in my new kitchen because the room is so much brighter and there is a place for everything, including a cabinet for all my spices next to the stove. I have received many compliments on my new kitchen from friends and family. I highly recommend Dave Fox Design Build Remodelers.

Our family has used Dave Fox Remodeling for 5 home renovation projects over the course of the last 6 years and we wouldn’t use anyone else after the experiences we have had. We invited these guys to put a bid on our basement and half bath remodel. Unfortunately the job just wasnt for them at the time (our budget + what needed to be done correctly didnt mash). However, the professionalism of the sales rep who came out was outstanding. Knowing that we were frustrated from being denied multiple times from contractors, they helped me find cost effective solutions to complete my project. Thank you guys! You took a huge headache away!

To me... Dave Fox is just the best of the best. It takes about 30-seconds in their showroom and you can just see and feel that these guys ooze legit level quality. Every team member I met is someone youd feel totally great having in your home. You can have logical conversations with them. And know its a were going to do this right no matter what type relationship. Theyre just the best.

After much research and multiple bids, we chose Dave Fox Remodeling and were thrilled with that decision. They did a huge remodel on our basement and it was important that we hired a reputable, established company with a great track record because of the extensive project it was going to be. They made a complex remodel project move along as easily and seamlessly as possible, clearly communicating upfront so there were no surprises. They do beautiful work and, in fact, we just referred Dave Fox Remodeling to friends who wanted to schedule a consultation with them after seeing our remodeled basement and master bath. (After such a great experience with our basement remodel, we hired them to remodel our master bath which was a much smaller project but the transformation was just as stunning.) They treated both projects -- large and small -- with the same level of importance and professionalism. Also, we interacted with many different members of the Dave Fox Team and every one of them was professional, knowledgeable and super nice, which is really important since theyre coming into your home every day during a project! The warranty coverage has been very helpful since installation. They’ve been quick to respond and quick to fix!

I just cannot let go of this so I decided to write a google review. In 2005 I had Dave Fox do a kitchen remodel and put in a new front door--door install costed more than 7K back then. It came with a lifetime guarantee. The entire bottom of the door rotted out and was replaced by Renewal by Anderson for 9K. Before I had it replaced several people from Dave Fox came out and told me the issue was your fault-ie my fault and there would be no remediation on their part. What is so interesting to me--the door faces east-away from prevailing weather and there are most houses on my street with original doors....no rotting. So my advice for guarantees--take it with a big grain of salt. I always tell everyone about my experience and discourage the use of this company.I read the response-- and that is absolutely not what was said when a supervisor came and looked at the problem. In addition--I fail to see how any screen door can cause rotting at the bottom of the main door-- there is no connection. But....I am at a disadvantage here--and I would recommend getting any promises in writing

We have completed remodels of several homes, and have used a design-build firm 3 time in the past. Our experience with Dave Fox Design Build Remodelers was first rate and the best experience weve had. They did their due diligence and up front work which helped to eliminate surprises (1880s home with 2001 gut remodel). They were responsive and extremely helpful when issues did pop up. The design is creative. The onsite leadership responsive. The work quality itself is great. True attention to detail and true craftmanship. From the design team to the trades to the installers everyone was engaged, professional and cared about the end result. Their efforts were rewarded with a NARI award for best whole house remodel (2019). No remodel is easy. No remodel process goes like clockwork. But this team helps work thru the issues - not cover them up. They do what they say they will do; and more. Most importantly, they keep you informed. If youre hesitant about the disruption to your life a remodel will cause, you should be. But I can tell you this team will get you through it with amazing work and a truly one of a kind customer experience.

EDIT: The response is misleading. As stated previously we acknowledge that Dave Fox offered to come take a look BUT it was contingent upon us paying Dave Fox for the inspection and any subsequent repairs. We had no interest in paying you to rip out your own failing installation. Dave Fox did not make it known that a WEDI system was used until after we ripped it out. WEDI was not contacted by Dave Fox until we asked them to be contacted. We appreciate the response but want to make it clear that Dave Foxs customer service was very poor and you were unwilling to do the right thing, instead you just simply hid behind the warranty and pointed fingers at others.We recently moved into a new home that had the kitchen and the master bath remodeled by Dave Fox in 2014, this would make the remodel 5 years old. The previous owners paid around $160k for these two remodels. We quickly noticed that the living room ceiling below the master shower was being damaged by water. Our home warranty team came out and determined that the water leak was not a plumbing issue and that it was due to the shower not being properly sealed. At this point we contacted Ryan Vaughn in the warranty department at Dave Fox. He showed no concern and told us that the Dave Fox warranty is 3 years and non-transferrable. He offered to send someone out to take a look, but we would be responsible for paying even if the issue was due to their workmanship.We decided not to pay Dave Fox twice to perform work at this point so we started ripping the tile out. There was no seal between the backer board on the wall and the backer board on the floor, only a bead of caulk that was not pressed/smoothed. We reached out to Dave Fox immediately with pictures and description of the issue. Dave Fox replied that a Wedi system was installed by a certified Wedi installer that has been installing tile for 25 years. After researching the Wedi system, we found that it is a water proofing system designed to allow contractors to cut corners. It is a 1 piece of foam board that was laid directly onto the floor joists and wall studs. No membrane was installed by Dave Fox, no sloping towards the drain, just floor joist, Wedi foam, then tile. At this time Dave Fox also stated that the reason for water leaking onto our living room ceiling was due to us not re-caulking the tile every 6-12 months. They were not able to back this claim up with any logic or documentation.We asked Dave Fox to help research the Wedi system warranty, and to provide any documentation showing that their shower needed to be re-caulked every 6-12 months. They refused to answer any of our clarifications or provide any documentation, but Greg Reis called my wife to argue with her. He was hostile and unsympathetic, constantly interrupting her and repeatedly stating their 3 year non-transferrable warranty.In my opinion this is not a warranty issue, it is either a manufacturing defect by Wedi, or it was not installed properly by Dave Fox. In the end we were not offered any apologies, sympathy or help from Dave Fox at all, only hostility and blame. We had to rip out all of the tile in the shower and replace moldy floor joists and wall studs. We also installed a rubber membrane, backer board and installed concrete that sloped towards the drain in our very expensive turn-key home. I would not recommend utilizing them as a contractor.

My husband and I and another couple attended the NARI Home Remodeling tour yesterday together and we toured the Dave Fox home in UA. The gentleman working the front door was super friendly and greeted us before we even got to the door, but I have to say that the representatives downstairs were the rudest people I have ever encountered. First of all, there was only 2 other couples down there when we got to the bottom of the basement steps and not one person even acknowledged us and so we walked closer to the one DF rep who was talking about the wine cellar to the other couple, and this man wouldnt even say hello to us or for that matter, even make eye contact with us, period. He made absolute zero attempt to even include us in his conversation with the other couple about how they built the wine cellar or the materials used, etc. So basically we had to give ourselves the complete tour of the basement. In the entire time we were walking around, down there, right past this male rep several times as well as past both female reps, not a single hello or peep out of any of them. In fact, the only time one of the gals spoke to us is when we opened a door to see if there was an actual bathroom downstairs and she yelled at us for doing so. The reps were the rudest people I have dealt with in some time and for that fact alone, I would NEVER do business with this company.

Not sure how many stars to give but wanted to share my experience. I am looking to have my basement finished, its currently partially finished and in decent enough shape to have as a playroom (painted block walls and inexpensive carpet) so I played phone tag for several days with this company. Yesterday I spoke with a designer on the phone and he asked me quite a few questions regarding the basement and Id already had one quote from a different company that actually came out an looked at the space so I was able to answer the questions pretty well regarding square footage, electrical, ceiling and what not.After several minutes the gentlemen asked me what my husbands name was and asked if my husband and I had discussed a budget and what we wanted to spend. Firstly I cannot help but wonder if a male had called if this same question would have been asked, highly doubt it.I told him we had discussed it and at this point we are trying to get a better idea and then he said they had recently done a space this size and it was about 30 - 40K, note this is 300 sq. feet we were discussing of a basement that is currently useable. I told him we would call him back since this was over 4x the cost of the other quote I got and this gentlemen seemed to have no interest in coming to see the space unless we were planning to spend that type of cash. I was just a bit surprised but now I know why it seems like you only see the Dave Fox signs in front the larger old worthington home with the $$$.

Had this company quote a kitchen remodel. Came out to my house and spoke with my wife. Apparently they had done a lot of the work with the previous owner prior to us buying. Needless to say they were arrogant and ended up quoting use $250k to remodel the kitchen not too mention they also told her that we would probably go over that number.... we received 4 more quotes with every other quote being less than a third of Dave Fox.

That is a big misrepresentation. They are not general contractors just kitchen and flooring. I asked them to replace outside soffit, drywall garage and do custom shelving. They said they dont do those kind of work.

A firm that has a complete team for remodeling including certified designers, trades staff, and project mangers who work seamlessly together to complete the project.
