Amazing service, was able to fix car same day in a very short amount of time. Price to fix was way lower than other places and the car is running great! The mechanic I saw was extremely kind and explained what he was doing and how to fix other issues very well. He was able to figure out what was wrong even though the cars OBC port wasn’t working to give him the diagnostic. 10/10 definitely recommend

Talking about a true diamond hidden in the rough; or maybe just in plain sight and not taken advantage of. This guy completely helped me restore my car within seven days. Our water pump went out in our car in the car was overheating I could not find any place to take my car in for repair accept Albany Auto Repair on High Street and 5th Avenue I called the phone number provided and the owner was off that day but came in anyway fix my car in three and a half hour and it runs fantastic plus gave us a great price go there for sure he is very fair and very nice

I took the recommendation of a friend and took my Subaru Forester to Thanos at Alban Auto Repair. (I have had that car in an out of more than one repair shop and spent thousands of dollars in the last 9 months. The final straw was when I had my battery replaced and they told me that I required more repairs at over $2,000.) I took my car to Alban, for a 2nd (really a 3rd) opinion, as well as to get an opinion on whether it was worth it to hang onto this car.Within 5 minutes of getting my car up, Thanos was able to1.) Verify that the car did need additional work2.) point out an obvious other issue that should have been apparent to anyone...even I could see it and3.) Kindly let me know that it was probably time to retire my car.He went further to tell me what my car would be worth at auction, if he were to purchase it from me.When I asked how much I owed him for checking the car out, he did not charge me a cent! Every time I took it to one of the other two places, I was charged a (pretty steep) diagnostics fee!I thanked him and told him that I was going to look for a new car. He asked me what I was looking for and said he would keep his eyes out for me.The whole reason I had been going to the dealership is that I really needed the loaner car. As far as Im concerned, if I need any work on my new car, I am likely to use Thanos. He was kind, pleasant, professional and NOT out to get my money. What a breath of fresh air!

Friendly man, locally owned, and quick turn around! I just showed up with what I was told by AutoZone was an alternator issue and he immediately diagnosed it as simply the battery (am obviously cheaper fix).

Extremely expensive very unreasonableNo warranty whatsoever Less than six months ago he did a tuneup on my van 30 days after he replace coil pack and spark plugs I continue having the same issue I came back to me to him numerous times constantly busy excuse after excuse Come back tomorrow I dont see any problem. After weeks he finally had a chance to look at it and admit it it is the same problem but I must charge you labor no thanks will not recommend stay away

I have had plenty of work done to my Dodge Ram 1500 at Alban automotive. He is a great worker. I got a tune up, new brake pads, oil change, new rotors, calipers, and fixed my annoying engine light. My truck has never drived so well. He diagnoses my truck quick and he always gets me back on the road in a timely manner. Being a firefighter He worked with my crazy schedule and he always works with integrity. There is never hidden repairs and never do I get hit with unjustly costs. The most honest and intelligent mechanic in town. He is also very good on your wallet. I strongly recommend his services.

My car unexpectedly stopped running days before I had to drive hundreds of miles for a military obligation, so I needed it fixed short notice and couldnt wait days for a repair. I called this shop and the owner told me to bring it up and he would see what he could do. He had my car fixed and I was on my way within a couple of hours. He worked with me on the price as well. I would return here for any other repairs I need in the future.
