Huntington Place is an oasis and tucked away from the city of Columbia. It is conveniently located near I-77, Fort Jackson, and nearby retail stores. There are sidewalks throughout the apartment complex to walk my dog and a dog park located in the center. I felt safe and the staff was responsive to any maintenance issues. I was sad to leave Huntington Place because it was the perfect space for me and my dog, location, and amenities.

Pretty good apartments for Columbia. Some roaches but all apartments here have them. Comparatively its very safe and well kept, super close to the VA and med school, rent is reasonable, appliances are reasonably new (the stoves are a little dated) and theyre usually good at completing service requests. Only one big complaint, my upstairs neighbors developed a super squeaky floorboard and constantly stepped on it, I told management repeatedly, filed a service request, they agreed it was super disruptive and said they couldnt fix it until the tenants moved out (in 3 weeks) which I understand. Fast forward, tenants moved out, I reminded them about the squeaky floorboard, they said maintenance was still aware. Fast forward a few more weeks, new tenants moving in upstairs and its clear the squeaky floor board was never fixed. If I wasnt moving out in 2 weeks I would be absolutely livid, but I wont have to deal with it for long now so its all good.

Parking has been a big issue and inconvenience over the past few months. There were times when a resident had to park further from his home because there were no available spaces. No matter the reason, they should assign each unit at least one parking spot. Overall, the complex is a nice place to live with friendly staff who take care of the residents.

So many memories come to my mind...I lived there in 1998/1999 and it was an amazing place. Nice, big, comfortable and Kimberly was adorable and always ready to help! It was so nice to see my Huntington home again :)

I love this place! It is the best complex in this price range in Columbia. Super clean! The maintenance is on point! The pool is always open and clean. The apartments are not brand new, but they are large and very clean! Tons of storage too. The location is very convenient to shopping and interstate 77. Walking distance to the VA and medical school. I was sad to leave so soon. The staff is friendly and helpful. I felt right at home. I am sure you will too. Make sure to try a chocolate chip cookie in the leasing office!

My boyfriend, sister, and I have been at Huntington for a few months now and I can tell you out of all the places Ive lived at in Columbia, this has been the best. The apartments are VERY spacious, more so than pictures can portray. Walls are insulated well, neighbors are diverse and kind, and the staff here is amazing. When we first came here Rachel was very professional and honest and not just trying to get us to sign for numbers or anything but genuinely wanted us to choose to be here and she is still awesome. Theres new staff but they are great also! I love how conveniently located the complex is and its very quiet around here which I appreciate.

Lived here for 2 years but moved across town to be closer to work. I initially found it due to its close location to the VA/work. However, the apartments are grossly outdated for the price they are asking. The buildings are not kept up with whatsoever; the breezeways and sidewalks will have dead cockroaches and trash on them for weeks. Aside from these things, the WORST thing about this apartment complex is their Community Manager, Rachel. She is rude, ill-tempered, and not willing to help out the tenants at all. It is no wonder the office assistants keep leaving. Every other apartment community I have lived in (4 over the past 10 years), the staff, especially the managers have been helpful. This can be understanding if you need a maintenance request fixed urgently to helping you find someone to take over the last few months of your lease. I would NEVER recommend this apartment complex to anyone, especially people at the VA or students at USC School of Medicine. Go to Creekside, Wellington Farms, or Hampton Courts.

We moved in last year and we like this place. Though it is a little far from the main campus, the maintenance is extraordinary efficent which makes the living here comfortable and saves our time. The leasing office employees are the most nice ones we have met in the U.S.

I love this place! The first time I came to look at the place, I took a tour. After the tour I stopped one of the residents and asked their opinion. They loved it and highly recommended it. I stayed here for a year and a half and if I could have picked it up and moved it with me, I would have! The neighbors are as social as you want to be. No one forces themselves on you, but are open and willing to have conversations about the moon with you in the parking lot. I had a two bedroom two bath to myself (same price as a one bed one bath in other places). The living room is really spacious. I had a full size couch, love seat, coffee table, tv, wicker chair, two plants and still had plenty of room to move around. I had a huge closet in my bedroom that I could hang my clothes and store my trunks in. Bedrooms are a nice size. The bugs are minimal meaning if I found one it was already dead and months apart. The only real issue I had was leaking in my bathroom when it rained. The office staff (I’ll talk more about later) were very involved in getting the issue fixed and keeping me up to date. My building (building 8) got a brand new roof and the leak disappeared. I ❤️ Rachel! She was very professional and friendly. We had some really awesome conversations. One of the best apartment managers, I have ever met! The rest of the office staff was just as friendly and competent. I never had an issue with payment records like I had at a previous apartment experience. They were very welcome to questions, comments, concerns, and inquiries. Communication is very open! I never made it to the community events because of my job, but they put out a newsletter every month and had building contests and had hug a building months where they did little things for the residents like picking up the trash for you to updates like fresh paint or power washing. Maintenance is great. They were always very timely. My cat (Bumper) trapped himself in the bathroom and they came same day to help me get the door open......both times! I could go on and on about this apartment community. Long story short: I felt safe, comfortable and welcome and it is affordable. You will not regret living here, just leaving! Miss you Huntington Place! Thanks for the great experience!

This place is seriously a joke! Whenever we first moved here I was overall happy with everything provided.. as my husband and Is stay continued everything went down hill! Cars and apartments get broken into on a nightly basis! if you live here be warned! My husband and I decided we wanted out of all this crime going on payed a lot of money to get out of our apartment... so we moved and not two weeks later we get a letter in the mail saying that we had been sent to debt collections! Apparently their system messed up and sent everyones name who moved out that month to debt collections. Way to run a business by messing up peoples credit score! I am furious over this incident.. peoples credit scores and nothing to be messed with!!!

I have lived here for over a year and I hate it. I cant wait for my lease to be up so I can move.Monthly there is a reason for them to inspect your apartment which includes maintenance and the office manager, Rachel, coming into your apartment and tearing through it opening your cabinets and your closets so forget about privacy. Oh, and I must not forget that corporate inspectors also come through annually, people you have never met in your entire life, and do the same thing.I have brought several issues around the complex ranging from noise complaints to issues around the complex itself (dirty buildings and walls) and management does nothing about it.The apartments are beautiful, but the are over priced. Similar sized apartments can be found for much less if you shop around.

I would think twice before renting here! The staff is rude, we constantly loose power, and car break-ins are not uncommon. While the property itself is nice, it is not worth the price! I plan on moving out as soon as my lease is up!
