Tried to drop off the wifes car to get brakes and alignment done. Had confirmation that my 3rd party warranty company would cover it and that Pep Boys was an approved facility. Made an appointment with Pep Boys a couple days in advance with those details and all was well.During drop off on the weekend I informed the gentleman manning the front desk of the above information and he asked me to come back on Monday when his manager would be there to facilitate the warranty process. Told him we only have the weekend to do these things due to school and work schedules and asked him if he could try the process anyway.The gentleman then proceeded to need assistance dialing out to the warranty company and after some minor issues we were able to get the process approved and started.Fast forward a couple hours and I get a call that the repair is approved, but he cannot get some sort of info straightened out with the warranty company and he asks me to TAKE MY VEHICLE TO ANOTHER PEP BOYS SO THEY CAN DO THE WORK AND WORK WITH THE WARRANTY COMPANY.What in the world...I understand not knowing technicalities, but come on. Not being able to call anyone on how to do your job at a franchised/chain business?... What is customer service?

Scheduled an appointment at 1 for a single tire replacement and oil change. Didnt take my car back until 2. It was finally done at 3. No mention when I got there about a delay, no apology for it taking so long. Wont be returning.
After an issue with our windshield wiper on vacation. Made it back into town, got an appointment right away. Fixed the issue and sent us on our way. Was a great service will be back for whatever else we might need.
On a cross-country trip, engine light goes on, they graciously took us right away, ran diagnostics, gave us some good advice, and we were on our way, no charge👍🚗
I have been going to this Pep Boys shop for over 4 years. John, the manager gave me a great deal on 4 tires, listened to my concerns and even asked up front what my budget was. I highly recommend this place. They are fast, efficient and thorough.

5868 Tutt Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80922Bought 4 tires for my truck about a year ago from this location, great experience. Went today for oil change and tire rotation. Went in and asked the girl how much for those 2 things she gave me the price. I was the only customer and they pulled it in right away. I went for a short walk and came back in about 30 minutes truck was out and waiting. I walked past it and checked to see if the tires had gotten rotated, they had not (one tire has a mark). Went in and waited to see if I would get charged for the rotation (I didnt know they did that for free until seeing it on the internet) I would have been happy to pay. A different person at the counter than when I dropped it off he told me and I asked about the rotation, the mechanic was standing at the door and said I didnt do that. Guy at counter said as pointing to the paperwork yeah there was no charge. I waited for a few seconds to see if there was a reason (the mech just walked away) he said nothing just that he couldnt take cash. I was so surprised at the lack of concern with the fact I had just pointed out that they had not done something I asked for and didnt even offer a reason. They just had no concern no sorry no nothing. I cant express how nonchalant they were. I didnt say anything just paid and walked out. In my opinion making a comment to him would have been futile. I still cant believe the lack of concern and response.

BAD EXPERIENCE...Found a nail in my tire 10 miles from home and panicked so I called ahead to ask if they could help 45 minutes before closing time. Got me in 35 minutes before closing time to patch my tire and told me I needed an alignment so I agreed. Asked how long that would take and the new manager said 25-30 minutes. Towards the end I noticed the mechanic took my car for a test drive and moments later the manager said that the mechanic was bringing my car down from the rack? (But I didn’t think much of it at the time...) Both were friendly and I was very thankful for their last minute help. They got me out right at closing time.Drove back home and noticed my car was still pulling to the right but didn’t want to believe that maybe I paid for services that were not done. Also, my alignment scans were not attached to my receipt. Called some local professionals and they all suspected that my alignment wasn’t done. I took it back the next business day and confronted the manager at opening time. He conveniently found my scans in the trash and said it was weird that my numbers were off when they checked it that day. He let me watch while my car was being aligned by another mechanic. They were friendly, but the whole experience from start to end was very sketchy. I was out the door 37 minutes the second time around so I still question if the first mechanic could have really finished my tire plug and alignment within the 35 minutes the first night. The issue was resolved but it was a nightmare and if I hadn’t come back I could have possibly paid for services that were not performed!I contacted customer service and they were no help either.IMO... spend your hard earned money elsewhere!
I ordered tires and had them delivered to this Pepboys to be installed. The tires were originally going to be delivered on Friday and installed on Monday, but a huge snow storm was supposed to hit over the weekend. The guys at this Pepboys (shoutout to John, Nick and Chris) fit me in on Friday afternoon at the drop of a hat and put my new tires on early so Id have them on before the snow storm! Went out of their way to help me out when they definitely didnt have to. Ill come back to this Pepboys every time!
The assistant manager (Cassy) is great!!! She has always preformed her duties in a professional manner. In my opinion Cassy should be in charge of running this facility. She is always on top off getting things in a timely manner and will go the extra mile to get it done properly. The mechanics always do an excellent job as well. Although (Ben) the manager seems like a good fellow he is not on top of things. I have called several times on Cassys days off and it takes several calls over a 20 to 30 minute period just to get him on the phone.
Excellent experiences have been had here. Ben runs a great shop and is very professional with customers. The team works efficiently and effectively. I had a bad experience with another Auto Shop and when I went to Ben, he really went above and beyond to show me how important customer service is to him and the company and in the process, won my business. I plan on continuing my relationship with them and recommending their shop to friends and family.

Great service every time. Dave is great. He pretty much helped haul that poor Trailblazer to its best it could be for a 2004. We did get the Trailblazer to Seattle, but they wouldnt ferry it to Alaska. I donated it to a friend who flew into Seattle and drove it all the way back to Southern California. It did great. It even passed smog. Thanks guys.
Ben is great! Service was friendly (2/23/20): came in to get tires on rims for winters I wanted to install myself. Quick service.(2/25/20) Update: Came back and met with Cassy, because clipon balancing weights were interfering with strut on installed wheels I put on. No Fault to them as they didnt do the install. Chris & Dave pulled me out to see where it was hitting along with options to using stick on weights to not interfere with wheel setup. Really happy with the service and options supplied at no charge to correct and focus on customer. Ive seen some bad reviews here, but honestly think this place has improved to be more customer service friendly.

Great Service, Honest And Fast!I brought my car in thinking I needed at least a brake fluid flush and probably a transmission flush. Justin was fantastic! He showed us the test strip proving the brake fluid was fine, told us the transmission fluid was also fine. His honesty really impressed me!The waiting room was clean, odor free and comfortable. We did need an oil change, total waiting time about half an hour. Thanks guys, you are great!
My car(s) have always been a piece of work. The service here is amazing! The manager of the store is up front and honest. Although for me, my results to my oh so wonderful cars (sarcastic tone) have a tendency to always be the worse case scenario. Im am truly appreciative of the honesty and quality I get from here. I feel like they truly care about their customers safety and the fact that they want their customers cars to last them for more than only a couple years. I NEVER feel like they are just trying to sell me things to get my money. Until further notice this is my go to shop. Id rather make the 30 min drive to here than to locate a closer shop!
**Charged $$$ & work was NOT done.** ++Staff is friendly. Dave the manager is cool. Amber is awesome. Just had work done on my Suburban & was pleased with the service so on 2/4 I took my pickup in to get oil changed, new tires mounted, alignment & steam clean the motor. I checked the motor the next morning (2/5) & it was just as dirty as the night before. I looked at my receipt & the alignment printout was not attached. Took it back, told Amber that the motor was not cleaned nor the alignment done. She was quick to put it back on the lift to check. She called & verified that the services were NOT done the night before. I explained to her that if you get charged for services & they arent done, then you become suspicious if any of the work was done, it then becomes hard to trust the integrity of the company. Thankfully, the tech working this day was honest & did a good job.
Traveling in Colorado- Car developed a shimmy with the brakes. So happy to find a place open on Sunday. They took the car in while we walked nearby for lunch. Came back and waited several more hours for the brakes to be replaced. Was so appreciative that they worked us in and that we would miss part of the vacation but be all set for the Mountains. We felt so bad that they kept working-we had a pizza delivered to them after we left. Then 3 days later we noticed the brakes making sounds again. We were back in Colorado Springs but realized that there was no way we would take the car back to the original place. We took it to the Pep Boys on North Academy. Where we were told that the this place that the rotor was half turned, screws and caliper stripped and a nail found in the tire. YIKES! PLEASE go to the PEP Boys on N. ACADEMY. Noticed I had a small leak in my truck tire. Knowing that I had a lifetime warranty on the tires, stopped by Pep Boys unannounced without an appointment. They took care of my issue expeditiously. An incredible group of professionals, the epitome of customer satisfaction.
Fastest oil change ever. Less than 20 minutes. I was in and out and the gentlemen on duty were kind and accommodating even an hour before close on a Sunday. 10/10 will be back again.
I didnt know it was possible to ruin a car with an oil change until now. After not taking responsibility for the overall damage to my vehicle caused by their faulty oil pan repair (which was to repair damage their tech had caused to my oil pan), the master mechanic turned to my husband and made a snide comment about me not maintaining my car. Ironically, it was THIS shop that had been maintaining my car since I purchased it in 2017, and not once was I notified about the spontaneously leaking oil out of my entire engine that did not exist prior to the faulty repair. Almost every question we asked was met with, I dont know, or I dont know what the techs did. Although, they were more than happy for me to pay for the additional repairs, and offered me financing to accomplish this. Considering my cars value is about $500, and the repairs will cost significantly MORE than $500, my husband and I are now down to one car. Pep Boys will NEVER touch another car I own ever again.
I have had several poor experiences at this location, and have finally come to my senses.Pricing and services are not clearly stated and explained until payment is due - and potentially not even then. Having purchased a brake package, I learned at a later visit said package did not include the rotors, that I had specifically asked about when purchased.During that visit, they also replaced a timing belt. While having my car serviced recently, needing another belt replaced, the mechanic stated he wasn’t sure why pep boys wouldn’t have done both at the same time.. Easy answer - the mandatory “shop fee” they can charge each time work is done, while not specifying until it is time to pay.The best part, I had warning lights come on recently. I took my car in, and they informed me they could pull codes, but I needed to come back three days later to have them diagnosed. When I returned, no one seemed to remember the codes were pulled, where they were written down, or that I had spent money on work while that was being done.The lights indicated transmission issues - which took place on the interstate a few weeks later. I would have liked the diagnosis the first time, when I went in!Unprofessional. Dishonest. Not in your best interest to use this shop.

I was planning a trip to Florida and had bought a trailer hitch for my Fiat 500x that a friend of mine was supposed to install for me but then backed out at the last minute. I called all over town to find a place that would install it for me but since I didnt purchase the part from them, no one would do it. I called pep boys and they installed it for me and it was perfect!! We got to Florida with no issues at all. I cant thank these guys enough for all the help they gave me. I would recommend anyone come here for their work.

They go above & beyond! I bought a 3 yr alignment package but the former tech didnt get it right which caused my tires to wear out extremely fast. When I showed the current tech the problem they prorated a new set of tires, corrected the alignment and offered a total refund on the 3 yr package.I love doing business with a company that stands behind their work and makes the customer top priority. I didnt take the refund since they are exactly who I want to do business with!

The employees were nice but I paid for an Oil Change, Tire Rotation and Inspection. Right off the bat I noticed they didnt reset the Oil Light. I also noticed that they didnt do a Tire Rotation because one of my rims has a mark and it didnt move. I also noticed they didnt do an inspection because my windshield fluid was empty and they didnt tell me about it.
I had a very bad experience with them. The lady called me saying my car was ready. To bad I spent 3 hours once I arrived. The receptionist clearly didn’t know how to run a check through the computer. Had me call my insurance they said she’s entering the info wrong. The person who appeared to be the manager clearly saw her struggling had advance for helping. Had a bad attitude, yelling at other employees. This was a valid check from progressive. I ended up just coming out of pocket and depositing the check into my own bank account. Absolutely was the worst experience with customer service/car repair I’ve had in my entire life. They could offer me free oil changes for the rest of my life and I wouldn’t take it.
Wasnt sure how this location would be since its switched to Pep Boys, stopped in for an inspection on my car...the manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this location, seem to have very fair prices. Dont be fooled by their affiliation with the other locations (Platte Ave. is terrible). Thanks for your help guys!

When I had a flat tire unexpectedly during my lunch break at work, Pep Boys was the closest place. They said theyd have it fixed in 30 minutes but it was done in 15! They were so friendly. Ill be returning for all my auto needs.
Made an appointment a week ahead of time- with the assurance that my parts and service would be ready at time of appointment. Once I arrived I was told that I would have to reschedule because the parts and service person was not available. Huge inconvience and was shocked that I didnt receive a call about the miscommunication. Trying to get my car fix not an easy-bake oven. They might be nice on the phone but EXPECT surprises once you arrive.

Alan and Bryan both don’t know what they are doing I ask them to change my vacuum hose and all they did was put in a clamp on my hose knowing the fact that my vacuum hose was frayed and my car is still misfiring. It’s crazy that I know more about my car then those mechanics know at all.... to be honest you should fire them both point blank. Worst place to go in Colorado Springs. Don’t send your car there cause your car won’t ever get fixed and you will pay a arm and leg just to get your car back. Another problem was the manager Dave he acted like he knew what was wrong when he didn’t know at all... he knows as much as the the other two employees that he hired. That shop is a joke and everybody there is a joke. Don’t go to Pepboys off of POWERS AND STETSON HILLS.... IF YOU ARE A TRUE CAR PERSON DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THAT PLACE, YOU ARE BETTER OFF FIXING YOUR OWN CAR.

Terrible for me, but I mostly felt that it was because Im a female. They changed my oil and when I got home it was leaking all over my driveway. Ive had this happen once before and they told me it was essentially, overspill from releasing the oil cap, it catches right below the pan, then sometimes when you park on a hill (my driveway) it leaks out of that crevice. It leaked for an entire week. I went back and they told me nothing was wrong. In actuality, it was the gasket around the oil drain cap According to another mechanic... I would not recommend them. They were also very rude to me when I was in there asking questions.

Hi, I just wanted to share my tire purchase .I bought new aggressive tires for my 2015 chevrolet silverado . The tires That I picked rubbed when i turned real hard so i made a call and was told it was no problem .They got a shorter tire and had me back on the road the same day! Wow I would have been happy to pay for labor but was told without asking that they just would trade them straight across with no charge.Thanks for going over and beyond .I will be back !!!
