Unified Title has always taken outstanding care of our clients at G.J. Gardner Homes in Colorado Springs. Their professionalism and commitment to excellence is greatly appreciated!
A friend had recommended us to work with Unified Title, Colorado Springs Jetstream Office, for a land transaction. We had everything in place in mid-February when the buyer had some reservations and postponed the deal. Nine weeks later the buyer asked us to go ahead with the transaction asap. In the midst of the Corona crisis, Heather Adamschek and her very competent team were able to arrange the closing within 72 hours. They had everything meticulously prepared and the car-side signing of tons of documents was a breeze for both parties to the transaction. Our special thanks go to Kelly King (Escrow Assistant to Heather) for her patience and for safely guiding us through the whole process in extraordinary circumstances.Manfred and Birgit, Golden, CO
When we closed on our house in March of 2020 this company sent out our documents containing all of our sensitive information in a previously opened and unsealed fedex envelope. When I received the envelope I immediately called and spoke with Sheryl Courtney and was told that she had to add a different paper to our file and she put scotch tape on it after she opened up the fedex envelope. I was furious as Fedex envelopes are FREE. I lost my cool and I flat out berated this lady for doing something so dumb. It took hours to get anyone higher up to answer my calls and even then I was not satisfied. I only continued the closing on the house with this company as I was worried the seller would back out if we had to delay to change title companies. The company owner Brian cooper called me days later and said he was sending us $200 to smooth things over but he got upset when I told him I was still going to leave appropriate feedback. It’s June 19th and we still haven’t received the $200. Our realtor said they promised to make it right so I went along with it for my realtor. Unified did set up a credit monitoring service for us which I kind of feel isn’t even close to covering up for the employees mistake. When Brian cooper called me he was very dodgy in his apology telling me that fedex wouldn’t deliver a package that wasn’t sealed and trying to parlay the blame off of his company and almost insinuating that I had done this. I wouldn’t do business with this company if they were the only title company in town. In the picture I attached you can see the entire inch of scotch tape that was on it when it arrived. This was not one of the new fedex envelopes that will reseal to be used a second time.
I reach out due to a issue of the title company not notifying the water company of the closing and they acted like it was my fault and just said they email when they could. Now I’m stuck with the bill and no answers. Would suggest going to a title company other than this that does everything they are suppose to and Is professional.
