After taking my 2002 F-350 to another shop for my oil change I quickly noticed I had oil leakage loosing about 2 quarts per day.I had my own reservations taking it back to the same outfit so I asked a couple of friends if they had any recommendations as to a good diesel shop in town and Dirt Road Diesel ended up being my destination.Tyler was straight forward and kept me up to date at every interval and most importantly had my truck back to me in less than three days.It is nice to see great communication with a mechanic shop and no hidden fees. Definitely comes recommended. Thanks Dirt Road Diesel. A+
These guys run a quality, down to earth repair shop. My truck decided to give out, they had it back and running within the week. Very friendly guys, great service all around. Would recommend!
If you want good quality experience whats the most knowledgeable diesel mechanics around you want to go here
These guys are awesome help me out with my truck help got me back on the road in good time😎👍
I had my truck fixed and super charged here. Great job. Very knowledgeable and willing to explain things to you. Always talks options with you.
Their prices were fair and their work was timely. Theyre honest about what needs to be, and what should be done. They replaced my injectors and glow plugs on my 05 power stroke and its running better than ever.A week later I started leaking diesel out of the fuel filter housing. It was not caused by them but a previous shop I used and they got me in same day and with in 3 business days my truck was back in my driveway leak free. Nick is a top notch guy to work with.
My last mechanic closed down and I needed to find a quality diesel shop. I was drawn to Dirt Road Diesel due to their focus on responding to online reviews and making sure criticisms are remedied through transparent customer service. To me, this indicated pride of ownership. My initial hunch was proven correct repeatedly throughout my experience with DRD.From the first phone conversation, Nick was direct, balanced in his advice considering price and quality. Additionally, he was extraordinarily thorough from start to finish. There was a moment of personal frustration regarding the timeline for starting the repairs on my truck. Nick sensed it and delivered beyond expectations for the remainder. At checkout, he walked me through everything they fixed in the engine bay and under the truck. And, for me, the way in which he responded to my irritation revealed an immense amount about his character, and the intent, values and commitments he runs Dirt Road Diesel with. Colorado Springs needs more owner/operators like Nick Stahler and crew.Fantastic diesel shop that is bursting at the seams due to demand. 5 STARS and I will proactively recommend to my friends that have diesels.THANK YOU!
The best mechanics ever
Always great always done right...best shop I have ever used
I took them my 02 F350. I thought I had 2 oil leaks and a fuel leak. Turns out to just be a fuel leak. I really appreciate the honest diagnostics and quick work. Looks like I have a new diesel shop.
My 99 dodge diesel had an electrical problem. I had it towed to Dirt Road over the weekend. They were quick to diagnose the problem and have me back on the road. Great customer service.
Took in my duramax for injectors and it was one of the by far best service I’ve had! Nick and the guys at dirt road are amazing. I dropped off my truck in the morning and had it the next afternoon. Amazing work and they want to keep you in the loop of what’s going on with their text notifications and constant calls to let you know what their doing. Amazing service and amazing people. I strongly recommend them to anyone in the springs area for any diesel work!!!
Nick and his guys are the only ones I trust for my LBZ Duramax build, they take care of it like it’s their own. They have been very professional all the way around and I’m loving the truck, thanks guys!
They did a great job!!. They did some work on my Duramax to include getting an old snow injection system working. They repaired it and then made sure it worked correctly. Nick then spent some time going over the repair and the new additions to the snow. They kept me in the loop the whole time. Great quality work and obvious pride in their work as well
Dirt Road is great! My son needed some work on his DuraMax and although to others, he may have been “just a kid”, they treated him with respect and as an adult. They followed through with him as promised and had it done the next day. Super reliable and I’m more than impressed with their service and customer service skills. Thanks guys, we’ll be back for sure!!
These guys are off the charts great. Alex at the front is incredible, all the techs are incredible, Nick the owner is a straight shooter and tells you in terms anyone can understand. Thanks Dirt Road Diesel, you have a customer for life.
Nick and his team are great! They are very informative and answer any questions you may have about repairs or upgrades. They are very organized and know what they are doing. I bring my work trucks to their shop and can count on them to go the extra mile every time my trucks need servicing. You can trust them to give you fair quotes on parts and labor.
Took my beast in to bring new life to her. 2003 F350 7.3 CC LB FX4. The guys made me fall in love with her again. She is a beast and runs better than new! They have my business for now on!
The guys at Dirt Road did an awesome job fixing a few issues on my 97 Dodge Ram. I have a pretty unique compound turbo setup that was pieced together from a few different applications and have been dealing with an exhaust leak for a LONG time. They worked hard to hunt down some parts and got it all fixed. They also installed a set of injectors for me that Im very happy with. Happy to be supporting local business, they definitely have a return customer out of me!
Thanks Casey for what appears to be an excellent repair to my fuel injectors. The truck runs like a top, has increased gas mileage and power. I think what I also really appreciated was your detailed write up at the top of my receipt. It makes it easy for older people to look back and see what was done, when and why.The bonus was the truck was promised to me on Friday but was finished on Wednesday, two days early. Highly recommended.Jerry
Excellent service friendly and knowledgeable. Fair price
I have heard nothing but GREAT about these guys. I personally know many people who have been into the shop and had their trucks worked on. They were happy with how organized and put together everything was from front desk to the work performed. Ive met the shop owners many times and know they are not only very committed to putting out good work but they stand behind their morals and values to keep their customers happy.5 stars for OUTSTANDING.
These guys were recommended by a friend. Now I guess I owe him a beer! Best Diesel shop around. Best service and most knowledgeable people I have worked with. Happy to have an honest and reliable shop to work on my Diesel truck. They exceeded my expectations and have fair prices!! Thank you Dirt Road Diesel!
I recently had some work done on my 6.4 Ford. The guys at Dirt Road Diesel were honest and did not try and get me to spend a bunch more money on repairs than I needed to. They seemed very knowledgeable about my truck and the issues I was having. So far the repair turned out great. The truck was done on time and all issues were resolved. The truck is running great with no leaks or issues.
Thank you for resolving all my new truck issues! The new tune works great and even gets better mpg. Not sure how my rear tires will hold up now with all the fun Im having... Never got to do dually burnouts before! See you soon for more!
Great job on the work doing the front end suspension. There the only ones that will ever touch my truck. Thanks nick and matt
My 08 Chevy needed a lot of work done. Dirt road did an amazing job with competitive pricing. My truck is running great.
Nick and his crew went out to his way to build my engine and even towed my truck to his shop on his off day. Super happy with the work quality and they go out of their way to make sure they follow up and ensure everything is working fine
The guys at Dirt Road Diesel replaced injectors and turbo in my 2005 Ford Powerstroke last summer. Runs great! Start easily during the recent cold weather. Passed emission test last month with no problems. Thanks!
Awesome place and work was top notch! I would recommend them to everyone who has a diesel! People and customer service is great! I really cant say enough good things about them! We have a 2004 F350 and one shop (NOT Dirt Road Diesel) said it needed head gaskets, Dirt Road said it needed a much simpler part and it has been running strong for over a year. We tow our camper with it and it has been an amazing truck since Dirt Road Diesel fixed her up!
Got nothing but great things to say about this shop. if youre looking around for an experienced diesel shop in the springs look no farther! This shop has amazing costumer service with amazing mechanics. This shop did my injectors brakes and my ficm. i will always recommend this shop and will make the drive to have my truck serviced here 5 out of 5 stars!
Our truck broke down while we were visiting Colorado from Texas and this Diesel Shop provided the most exceptional, professional, and affordable work that we have encountered. They were easy to communicate with and were hard-working, honest people. I wish we lived closer so we could use them in the future. Colorado Springs bring your Trucks here!!!
They replaced my bad fuel injection pump on my 2012 GMC sierra with a cp3, fass lift pump. Also replaced fuel rails with injectors. They are very knowledgeable and completed my truck pretty quick. The staff is very friendly, and shop is very organized. Highly recommend as they also offer towing.
Casey and Nic run a great shop that is honest and fair. Their prices are reasonable, and the knowledge this shop has about diesel vehicles is amazing. I have finally found a diesel shop that I know I will return to whenever I need anything diesel related. After my repairs, I left the shop confident in their workmanship and skill and will eagerly recommend them to anyone that needs a diesel shop.
I have taken my 2006 and 2012 Cummins pickups to Dirt Road Diesel for years and I have had nothing but incredible experiences. The mechanics are top notch, the work is timely, and the prices are competitive. I recommend all of my diesel driving friends to Dirt Road and I will continue to go to them for many more years. Thanks, Dirt Road Diesel!
Absolutely incredible family business. Nick, Miranda and their team lead an excellent job on all around diesel work. They take their work seriously and personally. I have been so impressed with their attitude and willingness to complete customers cars. I now know Nick personally and am confident he is a man to get any job done. If he cant, he will point you in the right direction. I looked at the accounts posting negative reviews and they clearly are fake accounts. Take my word for it, DRD will take care of you as their family. It is everything to them, and they know your vehicle is everything to you. Hats off to their entire team.
I have taken my 2002 5.9 Dodge Cummins to Dirt Road Diesel for 5 years and have had no issues with any of the work that they have done to my truck. I’ve had a new transmition, ball joints, U Joints, new heater core and dash board installed by dirt road diesel. All extremely well done. The staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable. I’ll continue to take my truck there and recommend them to any of my friends and family for any diesel work. If you want it done right the first time, go to Dirt Road Diesel!
I took my 99 7.3 Diesel to get New Glow Plugs, I should have done them Myself, they Charged me $1300.00 when i got my truck back, it still Ran Terrible, took it to my Friends dad who is Diesel Mechanic, He said the Engine barely had any Oil, he changed it Put New Oil Filter Etc.. You would Think after Paying $1300.00 that they would check your Fluids before leaving Shop to CustomersVery Bad Experience! I will Never take my Truck to that Company ever Again!Legend Auto Care are Very Experienced Mechanics!!
These guys did a bunch of work to my 05 Duramax, some performance stuff, some repair stuff. Awesome guys to work with, very friendly and knowledgeable. Helped me get everything I wanted/needed, and kept me within budget. I hate to let anyone else work on my vehicle, but these guys are the only ones I trust. 20k miles later, it is still running flawlessly. Towed 10k pounds from Colorado to Maine, without missing a beat. The only issue I have had since the repair was a bad cap for the factory turbo coolant line (replaced factory turbo with sliver bullet 66 which is cooled with oil only). This happened a day before I needed to travel from Colorado Springs to Kentucky for recruiting school, and I was also moving out of my house, and needed the truck back up ASAP. I called Nick who is the owner/performance build guru at the shop, and he told me where to look for the coolant leak (its somewhat hidden). I looked and he was exactly right. He also offered to drop everything and immediately drive over and fix it so I could get moved out, and on the road to Kentucky. I fixed it myself, it was very minor and wasnt going to waste his time with that easy of a fix, but I will say that is the most badass customer service I have ever seen! 252,000 mile truck feels like it is brand new. Their pricing is very reasonable, I never felt like I over paid, and was very satisfied by the final bill. No it wasnt free, however I feel like I got a good job done at a good price, and these gentlemen also made an honest buck for their work. If I ever run into another scenario where I am not able to work on my truck, Im putting these guys on a plane out to Maine!
First real diesel and I messed it up, bought from a bad dealer and have had nothing but problems. Recently these guys fixed up the ole Grizzly and gave him some power again, and didnt even know it could drive this good. They kept in contact with me, and made sure I knew exactly what theyd be doing before the next step, which made me comfortable. I saw they had some reviewers that posted one star on google, but everything those reviewers rated had one star. Dont listen to stupid people, theyll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience! Dirt Road Diesel did their job, and thats what we needed them for. Highly recommended.
Awesome Diesel Shop we would Recommend them to anyone that owns a diesel they took really good care of us and when we thought there was no hope for our Beast they did an Amazing Job !!
2008 F250 6.4L... If you are not familiar with this engine, Dirt Road Diesel sure is and they assured me they could cure the problems. They sure did that and plus some. Other local shops wanted on average 15 to 20% more when I got estimates. Dirt Road has now become the expertime in my truck and I trust no one else now. Since they have done a short block rebuild, some custom work to help alleviate the 6.4L problems, it has been the best truck I have ever owned. They take pride in their work and enjoy the challenges. It is nice to know other veterans there. Thanks Casey, brother in arms!
The best shop in Colorado. Very friendly and know what theyre doing. Casey is the best.
Ive known Casey and Nick for the last little while now.....not only are they great people, but they also know what they are doing and talking about when it comes to Diesels....they knew what was wrong with my 02 Cummins without hooking it up to anything or charging me a penny....Ill never go anywhere else.... thanks guys......Jayme
These guys are just pretty awesome! I grew up working on hot rods and they managed to impress me with both their knowledge and fab projects in the shop!
Great Mechanics lots of stuff to offer. Very busy shop and not many places to park at all.
Nick and K.C definitely know what they are doing. Good people to work with.
Several months ago I went to Dirt road diesel to have my 2000 7.3 injectors replaced. I live in Oklahoma and after they had installed the injectors on my drive beck to oklahoma i started blowing clouds of Black Smoke i stop at a diesel shop in the middle of nowhere and was told i blew an injector. I said hows that possible?? They are brand new. He said some shops only replace certain parts in the injectors such as tips and things like that. I found this very intersting since i paid dirt road for all brand new injectors. I have called the, several times with no call back. I would consider a different shop to take my 7.3 if i could go back in time.
Broke down on the way through town and had my truck towed in. They got right on it and had me repaired before the end of the day. Great guys
These guys know there stuff. Thats why there parking lot is packed. Had a problem with some work they did due to a faulty part from a supplier and they stayed open late to fix it for me. They are stand up all the way in a world full of shops with mediocre mechanics and terrible customer service. These guys are A+
Used these gents a few times. Always honest and stood behind their work. Im extremely picky as to who i let touch my truck. And id trust em anyday
Always a great experience working with Nick and Casey. I had a twin turbo kit, dual injection pumps, studs, manifolds and up-pipes installed about 3 years ago. Since then I have put close to 40k mi on the truck and have had no issues related to the install. The truck recently went back to DRD for injectors and a few runs on the dyno. It laid 737hp/1088ftlbs on the stock bottom end, and as soon as the truck was pulled off the dyno I drove it 1200mi out to California with no issues.
First of all, I am not their typical customer. I am new to this whole diesel thing. Walked in cold and spoke to Nick who answered all my questions about diesel without talking down to me. Thank you a ton for answering questions that have been burning a hole in my brain. DONT CHANGE!
Not only does Nic And The guys at Dirt Road Diesel service the trucks in or fleet of construction vehicles, they also have worked on my personal truck for the last three years. Their customer service is outstanding and i have never had to go back because something was not repaired correctly. In fact when i had a sensor go bad while on vacation they worke on my truck until 10 pm saturday night and again sunday morning to get me back on the road. They did this of their own free will and didnt charge me a penny extra. As a fleet manager i would recommend Dirt Road Diesel to anyone that needs a trusted and honest team to provide maintenace for their vehicles.Brian HoltBryan Construction
This is my true experimce with this company. After reading some of the other reviews i figured i would give mine as well. My good buddy passed away last year and he left me behind is cummins truck and i love it so much. me and him were in the marines together and Ill never forget him. I took his truck to dirt road diesel in colorado springs for leaking coolant. I was told it had a bad headgasket..... This sounded very weird the price was so much i told them i didnt think i could afford it they offered to buy the truck from me but i was not comfortable with that. I took the truck to a different shop and was told ot was only a water pump for a couple hundred bucks. Wow was i relieved. But i cant figure out why dirt road lied to me other then wanting to flip my truck for profit. Please be careful where ypu have your cummins worked on. This place seems like they are up to something and they clearly dont respect veterans.
OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE...
