I was having work done on my chimney by my roofing company and needed to have my chimney swept as well. My roof is a stone coated metal roof and can not be easily walked upon. At the suggestion of my roofing company, I tried to get a chimney sweep company to come out at the same time so that the service person could be shown how to properly walk on my roof without damaging the shingles. One company was patronizing regarding this request, and several other did not bother to respond to the message that I left. However, Midtown Chimney Sweeps not only respected and understood my request but made it possible for the work to be scheduled and completed while the roofers were there. It all worked out beautifully! Matt from Midtown showed up on time, was very professional (wore shoe covers while inside) explained the work to be done, answered any/all questions AND completely cleaned up everything. No mess was left at all. Due to their helpfulness and professionalism, I am having them back out to clean my dryer vent. Love this company!

We had our fireplace and chimney cleaned recently. Midtown was so professional and did a truly superb job! They went above and beyond our expectations and in a timely manner too! Highly recommend them for anyone looking for a similar service.

Absolutely the most incompetent chimney company ever. They completely botched the building of a chimney crown and damaged my roof in the process. They pretended to remove the old crown, but we later found they only chunked away just enough to pretend to have removed it. Then they poured an inadequate amount of cement resulting in a sort of shallow bird bath rather than a proper, sloped chimney crown. Then they attempted to hide their mess by glomping on huge amounts of rubbery crown sealant product. In the process they ruined the clay chimney flue tiles that extend above the chimney at the top. When I told them their work was an embarrassment on my home, they became rude and belligerent and offered no remedy except to try and cover it up with something else. I reported them to the BBB and will be reporting them to the secretary of state that Im told regulates such companies. Keep these guys away from your home! I had to have a professional mason remove Midtowns mess and do a proper job at the cost of almost $2,000. The mason showed me the chunks of the original crown that Midtown left in place. A total scam AND dangerous -- new cement cannot be poured on top of crumbling mortar which was what the original crown was made out of. They caused an immense amount of stress by playing head games and referring me to the Midtown franchise headquarters and what was supposed to be their chimney crown expert (who turned out to be the guy who trained their people who ruined my chimney!). They also glomped sealant over my expensive 40-year dimensional roof shingles. It cant be removed without pulling off the granules and ruining the shingles. They never bothered to drop cloth the area where they were working. Nor did they bother to scaffold so they could work more carefully. I told them that shingle replacement was going to run around $500 IF we could find those shingles. The roofing company that installed the roof checked and found that the shingles are no longer made and nothing comes close to a match. So I told Midtown they have to replace the roof and to contact their insurance company and have their insurance company contact me. They refused and accused me of just trying to get money out of them. They also left my gutters filled with cement and mortar debris. Midtown is nothing but an expensive, hokey franchise scam. They will damage your chimney and your home and leave you to clean up the mess.

Midtown was also busy but found a way to work me in within a week after I called them. Great communication, professional company. I would recommend to anyone.

Literally the BEST company that has EVER done such a professional and thorough inspection! They take pics of the inside of your fireplace so show you and that means there not looking to rip you off! They can see cracks and damage to show you immediately. This gave me the security I needed to know my family was safe to use this year :)

We recently moved from Colorado Springs to Fairplay, CO. The cabin had an inefficient wood fireplace. After much research we purchased the Ambiance Elegance 36 EPA Wood Fireplace. Midtown Chimney Sweeps was one of the install companys the vendor recommended. Midtowns Technicians (Byron and Josh) were very patient with all the questions we asked. They installed the fireplace 3 days ago and were on time and very attentive to taking care of our personal property. The fireplace is fairly new on the market and when there were questions they reached out to the vendor to insure all safety and warrantee issues were addressed. At the end of the day they took time to explain the operations and maintenance and care of the fireplace (as we have never had an enclosed firebox). We received a follow up call the next day to see if we had any issues or additional questions. We would highly recommend Midtown Chimney Sweeps (Byron and Josh) for any fireplace install!!!

Michael was awesome! We called them to service and fix our gas fireplace because we are getting ready to sell our home. It was a 20-year old fireplace that hadnt been lit in years and we were afraid it would have to be replaced. Michael got it running (saving us $600) and fully serviced everything for a good price! He was also extremely friendly and knowledgable. Ive been so impressed with this company! After getting a new water heater installed, we were told by a city inspector that our century-old chimney wasnt lined and, thus, not up to code. YIKES! Luckily, Midtown Chimney Sweeps was able to come out within a few days for a FREE estimate, and then within a week to get the work done for a very reasonable price. They have been prompt, friendly, and fair, and their customer service is excellent. They are quick to respond to all questions and explain everything clearly. They installed the liner over the weekend and called first thing this morning to tell us that they want to send out one of their master technicians to double check the work because he wasnt 100% satisfied after inspecting the pictures. WOW! We wouldnt have known any different, but its clear that Midtown Chimney Sweeps cares about integrity. So glad we chose them for this project!

Mike came out to address some concerns we had about our fireplace. We had no information about the fireplace at all. He was able to locate the name of the manufacturer and installation instructions. In doing so he assured us that it was installed properly. While in our home he was courteous and very pleasant to work with. We plan to use his business for the annual maintenance the fireplace needs.

Both technicians (Mike and Jordan) were not only on time, but they came early to the appointment. They were very professional and courteous. Not only that they know their job but I considered them to be subject matter expert. We had inspections done on our house a couple of years ago, and the previous inspector missed the 5lbs worth of birds nest in the exhaust vent. Some of the dried grass showed burnt mark and only if we were the type to leave it on; there would have been catastrophes. So thank you gentlemen for looking out for our family.

Had two chimneys, a wood burning one and a gas one cleaned and inspected by Midtown Sweeps. I have never seen such attention to detail and overriding focus on safety. They found a small gas leak that will be taken care of by a licensed plumber. The best value for the money spent!

After a clean from what turned out to be an untrustworthy person/company, who also claimed that there was damage when there wasnt quoting us hundreds in repair, I called Midtown Chimney Sweeps and spoke to the owner, MIke, who said he would come in a matter of days despite their busy season. He came on Sunday night fully inspected and cleaned it (properly this time), and even went on the roof to check above. He told us that the the fireplace was in good condition and that no repairs were needed. He was thorough, polite and honest. This company is our go-to now and will be using in the future.
