Hi! We have used Clean Sweep over the past 7 years since we moved into our home with a wood burning fireplace. The first time we used them, it was just for a cleaning because we had no idea the last time the previous owners had the chimney cleaned. They were SO KIND and CLEAN! When the guy left, we were able to have a fire in the fireplace with peace of mind. The next time we used them was a couple of years later for another cleaning. I had my four kids running all over the place and they were so sweet to them all and worked efficiently and ensured all of the kiddos safety during the cleaning process. Next time we used their services was after the July 28, 2016 hail storm. Our insurance adjuster let us know that our chimney received extensive damage and it needed to be addressed immediately. I called Clean Sweep and they came out ASAP. They took pictures of the damage and explained very clearly what needed to happen in order to ensure that no further damage occurred. They had to special order a new chimney topper and I was surprised with how quickly it came and they came out to install it right away. I cannot say enough amazing things about this family company and what they have done for a fireplace loving family. I recently had my fireplace and chimney inspected by Clean Sweep. They were great about scheduling the first appointment promptly. The technician was on time and very friendly and professional. I was really happy about the inspection itself.Theres just one piece of advice to other homeowners: If the technician recommends a repair, but indicates it will be cheaper if you do it yourself, just pay to have them do it. I do most of my own repair work on my home, and am comfortable around masonry. But, Im not a licensed/certified fireplace technician. Regardless of how simple the repair is (this one took me 10 minutes), it wont mean anything to a future buyer. You will still have to pay for a re-inspection later.Long story short: Avoid any advice from their technicians if they suggest a DIY repair.Update 2020-10-05: Moving rating down a star (to 3). I now have two potential buyers who are weary of repairs made by the owner. This advice has cost me a lot of time and even more money than paying for the repairs.Update 2020-11-09: In response to response: Definitely some miscommunication happening. We were never offered a quote on the repairs. The technician made it sound like I could fix it and no one would care that I did it instead of a certified tech. The last time I bought a house, people werent making such a big deal out of fireplace issues, so I wouldnt have guessed that even needing a re-inspection on the work would be necessary. Thus my original caution: If a tech recommends a DIY repair, just ask for a quote to have the work done instead.

Clean Sweep Chimney Sweep did a fantastic job! Scheduling was great. They were able to get us on their schedule within two days. Our technician, Jesse, called us the day of the appointment to let us know he would be 10 minutes late due to the current job he was on. This was greatly appreciated. When he arrived he was friendly and professional. During the execution of the job, Jesse didn’t hesitate to explain what he was doing (I have a tendency to ask a lot of questions). The technician called well ahead of his arrival, and he arrived on time. He performed a thorough cleaning and detailed inspection of our pellet stove and left it in like-new condition, ready to safely use. Outstanding service and at a cost very affordable. Highly recommend them.

Contacted this company after a tree fell on my chimney. I told them that I also had a leak that I suspected was caused by damage to the chimney. After they did an inspection ($99) they said everything looked good relating to the damage caused by the tree but they had found another problem, that there was insulation that had fallen around the pipe which was a fire hazard. They gave me an estimate for the parts and labor which I put 50% down on to make an appointment. First I was called and told that my appointment needed to be changed because the person who made the appointment didnt realize a part needed to be ordered and it would be about 2 weeks. 3 weeks later I called to see what was going on. I was told the part was back ordered and they would check into it and call back...3 days later I called back, and they suddenly were able to find out they would have the parts in 3 days and made an appointment for a week later to install the part. I couldnt be home because at that point I was moving. I hadnt received any call, so I assumed the part was installed and everything was good.....NOPE!!!I got a call 2 weeks AFTER the appointment telling me that not only did they find the pipe was damaged, but that they couldnt fix it or install the part they ordered. When I asked why they waited 2 weeks to call me they went on about how one person that works for them was hurt on the job (not my job) and they have had to move around his appointments ect... While I hope for a speedy recovery for that person, he didnt fall on their office phone so I dont know how that on the job injury stopped them from calling me in a timely manner.I am not happy with their lack of customer service and inability to find damage during an inspection. I am using a different company to repair the damage. They have refunded the 50% I paid for them to install the part they ordered, but not the $99 inspection fee....where they obviously didnt really inspect for the damage I told them about.Update: I called the fireplace pros. They scheduled an appointment quickly and without taking apart anything found an obvious hole where rain had been leaking in. Clean sweep did not find this hole even after taking a few things apart! Here is a picture of the hole the next company I called found. If Clean sweep wants to make this right, they should also refund the $99 for the inspection their employees obviously did not do. Picture of the hole below.Update: they have agreed to refund the $99 inspection fee...but only after they sent me a copy of the inspection from the second time they went to my house claiming they had told me the chase cap was damaged. When I sent them a copy of the first inspection (which is what they charged $99 for) that showed that they had clearly checked that the chase caps had no damage they conceded.

Clean sweep chimney recently repaired a valve in the gas fireplace at our rental. Jesse was very professional and did a great job. The four star rating is because it took a while for the repair to get done. We had to wait on a part.

First off, the customer service representative was awesome to deal with and couldnt have asked for better. Even though the next available was not that week, she scheduled me and I knew right of the bat how much it was going to cost. Secondly, on the appointment day, Justin showed up early and had excellent customer service. He had a cloth so the sweep wouldnt make a mess on the floor and even cleaned up without any complaint. I couldnt have asked for a better organization to work for. These days it is hard finding a reliable and experienced company to work for. The business is family owned and the expertise is far more than could ask for in a business. Additionally, they just didnt show up with a shop vac and a home depot brush. The cleaning was superior and I couldnt have asked for better. I wont go to any other company and I would be willing to wait for an appointment even if next year it takes 3 months. I would like anyone looking for these services to know that this company is top shelf. Their customer service is great over the phone and the tech that came out today was clean and neat and respectful of my home. Most especially I liked the time spent explaining things to me. No up sale just info on the status of my older stove. He took lots of pics for his records and shared them with me . Which I will find helpful when I explain to my piro husband that he needs to slow his roll on the fires he makes. There is a metal bar support dam near melted to nothing. I have things in the works for the small repair and my older stove will now give me a few more years until I will need to replace it . I hope this helps anyone looking to bring in a service to your home to feel confident on your choice. They are worth your time and hard earned dollar.

I used Clean Sweep Chimney Sweeps after recently purchasing our house. Stephen was a great technician. He did a full inspection on our chimney while making reasonable recommendations. At one point during the high winds, our chimney cap blew off. I called Stephen and he was able to install a brand new on the very next day. Great company and even better customer service. I say stay away from this little family owned business. They quoted me $800 for some work based on detailed photos I spent time putting together and sent to Justin. Then when he got out there he told me that there was more work to do in the ceiling - which I understood. I asked Justin how much this would be and he said around 1200. I asked if this was additional or a new total and he assured me this was for a new total. This made sense so I said go ahead. Two weeks later they send me an invoice for $2,085. I got on the phone with Justin and Deborah. Deborah was deplorably rude and Justin lied through his teeth about what he actually told me. I suspect that Deborah is mom and Justin is afraid to admit the truth.I understand they may have made a mistake, but there was zero willingness to even offer an adjustment which was astonishing. It ended up with Deborah telling me she was going to lien my property and hung up on me.I was willing to cut a deal if they were willing to make some movement but no go. I will pull this rating down if they happen to call me back and offer something. I am a small business owner myself and I wouldnt be in business if I treated my customers like this. - Jim Mill

I can’t say enough good things about Clean Sweep and the tech Jesse. Due to a job that took longer he was a little late but the office called as soon as they knew he would not be here and he came over right after his other job. Delays happen during the holiday and we are selling our home so I was grateful with the communication and great work done. Jesse came in put down drop cloths and made sure the area was clean when he was done. He walked us through the report which was completed as soon as he had all of his things together. I could not be happier with the service and will have clean sweep come out to inspect the new house annually for cleaning and maintenance.

I fix and flip houses and Clean Sweep Chimney Sweep are my go to guys when I have a fireplace in the house. Found out my last one was not safe to operate. Justin worked with me to come up with a reasonably priced solution that turned out beautiful. I highly recommend them.

Recently bought a house and made an appointment with Clean Sweep to clean and service the 20 yr old fireplace insert. Someone had disconnected the flue damper safety switch and I wanted that replaced and reconnected. They had serviced the same but older fireplace 2 years earlier and I felt the job was a 3 star. This time the tech removed the cover and declared the fireplace unservicable because the switch was disconnected. I hired Clean Sweep to repair and replace the switch - instead we charged us $100 and walked out the door. I called the fireplace manufacturer who told me that there was no reason to not service and repair the fireplace as the only part currently unavailable is the front glass. I called Justin owner of Clean Sweep and he said hed changed their policy and the company would no longer address safety issues and said he could not replace the front glass gasket because the material wasnt available (untruth). When questioned Justin cited a scare tactic noting the 400 ppm of carbon Monoxide in the combustion chamber. The CO threat: implying that any leak would fill the air with that concentration of Carbon Monoxide is an easy way of not having to do the work. What if your furnace or water heater or gas stove was discovered to need maintenance? Does the person you hired to fix it have the right to charge you, do nothing, and walk out the door? Additionally Clean Sweep would not acknowledge that the fireplace is under a negative draft hence any leak will draw the room air in not leak out CO. In a nutshell do not trust this company to come into your home because if it takes more than vacuuming and cleaning the glass they will likely declare your fireplace insert unsafe and charge you $100 also. There are two sides to every story but, a company that declares itself to be your safety shield walks away under the guise of safety and liability is not the company you want to rely on to do the work they advertise.

I have used Ehron and the guys to clean my chimneys (I have 4) for many years. I have NEVER been disappointed. They are timely, courteous, they always do a great job and all at an affordable rate. I had a super professional young man come to my house for a deep cleaning of my wood burning fireplace. It hadnt been cleaned in a few years and although it wasnt horrible, the technician explained the different levels of soot and creosote and how I was affected. He cleaned everything and I couldnt believe how good it looked when he was finished! He kept the area clean, was very knowledgeable and also very friendly. The rates were very reasonable considering all the work he did. It took a little over an hour and I was completely satisfied with all he did in that time period. He did an amazing job and I would not hesitate to recommend Clean Sweep!

Hello,Justin just left my home after completing a full wood burning stove sweep, and he was by far one of the friendliest professionals Ive had the pleasure of working with since moving to the Springs in August. He called and kept me updated on his arrival, explained how I could tell what type of insert I had, was efficient, cleaned up after himself (of course Id expect this but weve had some contractors not be so wonderful in this area) and made sure I knew when to have it cleaned, provided some suggestions on firewood sourcing, and made sure all of my questions were answered. Clean sweep did a great Job and Jesse was very good and helpful and kind.

If you are not familiar with chimney business, avoid this Clean sweep. They charge close to $100 so called inspection fee for something very obvious and still give out the highest bid you can imagine to fix the problem. Not impressed.

$100 service charge... Wont touch chimney due previously inspected damage (was told it was ok) tried up-selling to higher priced sercices. So if your enjoy dropping $100 for nothing.. These are the guys for you.

What a difference a person can make. Ehron did such a fantastic job with our gas fireplace that was in a big need of a clean up and service after being untouched for at least 4 years. it looks like a brand new one. I also appreciate how Ehron took time to answer all my question and show me hands on what I was asking about. Despite a little phone call glitch, I am considering them a keeper.

Outstanding service. Professional and courteous

Last year we had someone from Clean Sweep clean our fireplace and do an inspection. We were informed that the front glass piece had a very small leak, and we were given a quote to replace it. We decided against it last year, but when we had it inspected this year in June, we told the technician that we wanted to go ahead and replace the glass piece after all. He told us that he would order the piece, and that it should take 1-2 weeks to get it in. He said that the quote from last year - $438 - still stood. He did not ask for a down payment, nor did he tell us that there was a time limit on the quote.We did not get a call from the company until over two months later that the piece was in. The left a message on our answering machine saying the piece was in and ready to install. Things had picked up at my work and I didnt have the time to schedule a day for it to be installed, so I was not able to immediately schedule it to be installed. I called back 6 weeks later, and was told that the old quote no longer stood. They gave me a new quote for $653, which is $215 more than the original quote (49% increase).I dont understand how the cost can go up so much from one month to another. If the piece was ordered and in stock, waiting to be installed, shouldnt the cost be the same? How can they increase the cost of the piece $189, if it is just sitting in their warehouse? If I had called back a few weeks earlier to have it installed, wouldnt the cost be the same? This makes no sense, and this company is not trustworthy. They waited over 2 months to call back and tell me the piece is ready to install, and then tell the price has gone up because the manufacturer raised the price in September (which, again, does not make sense because the piece was ordered and ready to install at our house in August). I was also informed that their hourly rate increased, so the new installation price went up $26 (again, if I had called back a few weeks earlier, wouldnt the labor have been the same?).Be wary of companies that frequently change their price quotes, and inflate prices on a whim. We will be looking elsewhere to have the glass piece replaced.

We just had our gas fireplace serviced after moving in this summer. It might even be the first time its been done since it was installed in the home 11 years ago. The glass was foggy, the whole unit was dusty, and the igniter didnt work very well. Now its clean, clear, and the igniter even strikes on the first try! These guys were a pleasure to work with, and the price was just right.Im even looking forward to the next service call, a year from now. When do you feel that way about a service call, really?Keep up the great work.
