Roosters at Garden of the Gods is a great place to get your hair cut, thats a given, yet when it comes to getting a clean, close shave and an unruly mohawk cut down to size, theres no other place you should consider. I went on a Saturday afternoon and the pace inside was brisk, yet in no way was anyone rushing.Lindsay P. dealt with me and she provided a detailed and thorough cut, trimming for length and width. Her barber skills are such that theyll form the foundation of a legendary tales told far, far into the future.She wields a straight razor as if it were a rapier, making delicate yet purposeful passes that leave no errant hair behind, while leaving the vast expanse of my noggin smooth and clean. Her skills are not to be questioned and she explained what she was doing each step of the way, from the balm to soften the skin, to the hot towel, to the rapid trim and scrape, to the cold towel and more.Her skills aside, Id recommend you book her directly just for the conversation. Bring up anime, Bob Ross and dodecahedral dice and its bound to be a conversation that lasts all afternoon in all the right ways.TLDR: A great place to eliminate unruly hair; ask for Lindsay.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. I normally get cheap-o haircuts, but. I decided to go above and beyond by getting one done at Roosters. I dont know if every stylist is as fantastic as Hannah, but the service I received from her was some of the highest quality Ive received from anywhere ever. The haircut was absolutely fantastic, and her personality and willingness to work with me on having no idea what I was actually wanting was wonderful. Im starting to lose my hair and I swear that I looked like I had MORE hair at the end of the cut than at the beginning (but in a good way). She was absolutely amazing, so sweet and kind, and super attentive. Ill never need to look for another barbershop again now that Ive found Hannah. 10 stars out of 5!!

I moved to the Springs nearly 2 years ago and did not like any of the haircut experiences. Roosters was the fourth place I tried, and I continue to return. Everyone is friendly, haircuts and beard trims are top notch, and the environment is comfortable. Their online scheduling makes it easy to set up an appointment too.

I was tired of driving so far and decided to check this place out, everything was very ok (except that the barber didn’t bother to even ask if it liked it ) until I got home and realized my neck was cut twice and my neck line looked like a blind child had cut it. Guess I’ll go back to Lincoln Street.

Im in the military and just got back to the States from a deployment. I went to Roosters on a recommendation from a fellow soldier whom I was deployed with. First, I called to ensure they were open due to COVID and was able to make a same day appointment which made for a great start. Once arriving at Roosters I was greeted by a very friendly barber and a really comfortable environment. The couches were super comfortable while I waited for my appointment and the fragrance was amazing, I think it was like pine. Next thing I know its my turn in the seat, Roxy was my barber and made me super comfortable and gave me the best cut!!

The experience is fantastic from calling to make an appointment to walking out the door with a fresh haircut. Very upsetting this place does not accommodate children with special needs. It was extremely humiliating to be asked to leave, with no effort of the staff and barber Jess to attempt to accommodate or try to assist in making the service possible.We had previously had our child come here and a young man did his hair and accommodated him very kindly as he is sensory and is terrified of the clippers...Today was a different story truly broke our heart. With extreme rude demeanor a member of the staff and barber who seamed new to her role or lacked in skill was bothered to have my son in her chair.I write this to inform other customer that if you have someone with a disability or sensory issue consider going else where. This brings frustration and embarrassment to disabled customer and their companions.And we do kindly apologize if we caused your one customer a disturbance

This place has gone down hill, or more accurately has fallen off the cliff. I have had some very good haircuts here but the turnover of stylist is too great. The last two good hair stylists I had are no longer there. Today I had someone who shouldn’t even be at Great Clips. I am not sure he has ever given a Men’s scissors cut before. Although he was polite and friendly, he should not be cutting hair. I will not be back.

After so many horrible haircuts from that not so Super place, I finally forced my husband to go to Roosters. I know Roosters originally from San Antonio Texas and they were amazing there so I was excited to find out they were here in the Springs. My husband thoroughly freaked out at me when he saw the pricing but I reminded him ..you get what you pay for.. So with much hesitantation my Im not spending more than $10 for a haircut husband walked into Roosters.He was greeted by a pretty girl, offered something to drink, and was placed in a oversized leather chair.I made the appointment so he had no idea he was getting a haircut plus beard and moustache trim with a straight blade face shave.He was in man heaven.I paid the lady while he was getting man pampered so he wouldnt stress after finally being relaxed.He loved the haircut! Loved the straight razor shave! Loved the beard trim! And will only go to Roosters ... he loved it so much he doesnt even care about the price.Thank you roosters for being amazing!

I first came to Roosters a few weeks ago when my usual barber was unavailable. The service was incredible and the whole experience was top-notch and enjoyable. I was greeted warmly, offered a drink, and the stylist asked in perfect detail how I would like my hair cut. The discussion throughout the styling was upbeat and friendly.I came back again and was sorely disappointed. I was treated like I was inconveniencing the stylist and rushed through the entire ordeal. Id describe my current haircut as just ok and the atmosphere and service I was ready to pay the premium for was nonexistent.I will likely be returning to my normal barber.

I went in for a beard grooming because it was out of control. I got put with Sara and she was friendly, very helpful, did an amazing job Im really happy with, funny, and well, shes very easy on the eyes. Highly recommend this place. Oh, and free beer. I mean, beer and a beautiful woman to boot? Why go anywhere else? Top notch.

Had Victoria and she did a great job! Cut my hair with shampoo included, trimmed my beard a hot towel with neck shave. Loved it! Nothing like feeling pampered. She was also very nice and courteous! Loved the atmosphere too! Very relaxed, friendly and respectful place! Will be going back in the future for sure!

If you are a guy, this is where you should go to get your hair cut and beard trimmed. I have never had a bad haircut here and the barber/stylist is meticulous and never rushed. I wont go anywhere else for a haircut and you shouldnt either. I would always call and book an appointment so you dont have to wait though since they do take their time with haircuts.

I’ve been going here for over 3 years and there’s a reason. I am exclusive to Christina now, but all the staff here are amazing at their craft. As a follicly gifted man I am very particular about my beard and Christina gets it. She does it right and tames my beard so I don’t look like a complete savage. Also, my hair is about to the middle of my back and she does amazing braids! With Christina’s help we have perfected the “Heavy-Metal-Gangster-Viking-Gentleman” look. Not to brag, but I Drive 9 hours to have Christina cut my hair. Totally worth it!

After I arrived I figured it out and the correct service took longer and the staff didnt have time to provide the service I really wanted. Even when I dont get a chance to get a short notice haircut with my main lady, I am never dissatisfied with the service or quality of any of the other girls.The price-point is steeper than most but you get about a half hour of decent conversation, quality work, relaxing shampoo and neckline straight razor and they throw in a beer or whatever complimentary.Try it out if youre a quality over quantity guy. Skip it if youre a bargain hunter.Peace.

$28 plus tip for a 15 minute haircut experience is ludicrous. The haircut was adequate, but not anything more than a great clips. The shampoo was 15 seconds or so. Definately not a level of service commensurate with the price. She even missed some trim spots that I didnt notice until I got home. Wont be back for that price/time/attention to detail ratio.

Tried this place out a couple of weeks ago with my husband. It seemed like a neat place and the ambiance is cool. I made an appointment for three of my boys during fall break to get a haircut. Due to the construction off of exit 146 and traffic we were 12 minutes late. I had called and let them know. We walked in and she refused to give haircuts because she said were not Supercuts. There was literally nobody else in the barbershop. their response was we have appointments in 20 minutes we cant get the boys haircuts done in 20 minutes. I told her that if they couldnt get it done we would have to go elsewhere because theyre on fall break and this was the time I have to do it. I had made the appointments two weeks prior. She said youre welcome to go somewhere else were not cutting your hair. Wow all the other stylists just stood there. the rudeness and lack of customer service was unlike anything I had ever seen. Weve been going to locals barbershop for 2 years and we just wanted to see or try something new. We learned our lesson. as soon as I walked to my car I called locals and they were able to get all three of my boys in within 30 minutes of my phone call. We will stick with locals.***Since it wont let me reply to their response***Never at any point offered to reschedule for 1 pm. The only thing that was said to me was please feel free to go somewhere else. As soon as we walked in the door we were on the defensive and then immediately said we cannot see you today. There was no offer for any other option. And I know that it was 12 after 12 because I looked at the clock right as we walked in. you were extremely rude on the phone and extremely rude in person. When I called you out on how rude you were being you said bye have a great day. when I said if you cant see us today we have to go somewhere else you said feel free to go to locals, we wont see you today.

Went there for the first time after moving to this side of town. Finding a new barber is always tough, fortunately my first try was Roosters and it was a home run. Great haircut, great military discount, and it includes a hair wash. I will absolutely be returning.

Been going here for awhile now. Nice and clean at all times. Staff is friendly. They offer you beer with a haircut, normal from a growler of Trinity no less. If ask them to warm the wax up they will do your nose hairs like they do in the middle east as well.

In no way, shape, or form did I yell or curse at Lexi, the individual I talked to. I was not already late, I explained to her I had left 40 minutes early from my home of residence and ended up hitting traffic on I-25. According to my GPS, I was only 3 miles away from your establishment but it was 4:50pm so I thought it would be courteous to give you a call. Lexi asked me how long I would take and I told her I could be there around 5:05-5:10. That’s when she said I would have to reschedule or cancel the appointment. The only thing I asked her was, “Do you really want me to turn back around after I just drove 40 minutes?” She then simply responded, “Yes.” I then said, “Okay, I guess I’ll just turn around..” She then said, “Okay, bye” and hung up the phone.I just want you to know that the information she gave you was completely false. It has been 3 days and it’s water under the bridge at this point, I just felt the need to defend myself because I would never yell or curse at someone, especially someone I didn’t know.

Not the worst haircut my husband has gotten but it was not worth the money paid. It took 18min to cut his hair and wash it. 15minutes is not enough time to properly blend it (and it shows). At other men’s salons, it has taken a minimum of 40minutes to cut his hair. I just wish they took more time on his hair.

Great place to get a haircut though they do have a frequent change the staff and you really get to see the same people more than once. A little on the pricey side but worth it.
