Ricky is amazing! I wouldnt have anyone else cut my sons hair. Not only does he do an excellent cut he is wonderful with my preteen. As long as Ricky is there so are we!

So, I scheduled an appointment with Rob. I showed up 15 minutes early to get myself checked in. Upon arrival, I was hardly greeted and asked if I had an appointment, which I did. I wasn’t asked my name or who the appointment was with. About the time my appointment came around I still had not been approached. Many customers came and went during the HOUR I waited passed my appointment time. For all my fellow service members in the Colorado Springs area, avoid this establishment. Floyd’s 99 is exceptionally more professional, friendlier and more affordable for the type of haircut we need.

When I went here in 2017-2019 this place was top notch. I had to get a haircut in a pinch and thought I could lean on Flashback, but was truly let down to see where the quality of service has went, and for $48 I would expect at least a good haircut. Going to another barbershop tomorrow to fix my hair and beard. Will not be going back. Used to be such a good and friendly shop, but would 100% not recommend to any future clients.

This place never disappoints me and always come out looking fresh! Debbie is my girl and highly recommend and this place would be more popping if people actually booked appointments and instead of having attitudes on why the waits would be long it’s your fault no one else’s!

Ive been to the barbershop 3 times, all 3 with my young boys. This is during COVID, and I have never seen Amanda wear a mask. It seems to be a suggestion rather than a rule, since others in the shop dont seem to bother. The first time, the music was a bit loud and alternative, not conducive to a professional environment. The second time was great, low traffic, Ricky was terrific with both me and my boys. We hoped we had found our new barbershop. The third, and last time we visited really turned us off form the place. Ricky was fine, respectful, professional. I really enjoyed Ricky. The rest of the experience was bad. The other barbers seemed disinterested. One barber was working on a child while his mother was standing close by, and they were talking like they were old friends, not a bad thing. But their language was not appropriate for a business, maybe in a bar but not a business. I found the attitude, the lack of professionalism, and environment was not what I thought, not what I would expect in a business. We will not be going there again, but we will miss Ricky.

I just recently PCS’d here and I was hoping this barbershop lived up to the hype that I got from a few people I work with. The condescending attitude of the owner in his/her replies to his unsatisfied customers is appalling. I will be warning each and every one of my colleagues to NEVER spend our hard earned money here. What a shame.

Boyfriend had an appointment at 430pm with Rob W. We showed up at 415pm and was asked if we had an appointment, which we did and were told to take a seat the barber would be with us shortly. Well 500pm rolled around after watched other clients be called back with other barbers and we were still waiting. No acknowledgement that he was running behind, nothing. So we got up and left.never coming back. Absolutely ridiculous

Im only giving 4 stars because of what happened at the beginning of my visit. I brought in my 2 boys to a barber we have used multiple times and were very happy with. He started cutting my youngest sons hair, got a few cuts in and answered the phone. After talking with whomever, he literally QUIT right then and there, said he was done, took the apron off my son and said someone else had to take care of us. I understand personal issues come up but to quit on a loyal customer without finishing was very unprofessional in my opinion.My boys got their haircut finished by Mr.Rickey and he did an AMAZING job. My boys look sharp and I am extremely happy with their cuts which have to be very specific for the school they attend. Mr.Rickey deserves the 5++ stars, I will most definitely bring my boys back to him! I am extremely happy and grateful he took over and with that he has earned 2 new customers. I will tell all of my friends to see him! Thank you Mr.Rickey for making my boys look good!

Let me start out by saying, Im not one for a quick cut. When I make an appointment, I expect to be able to sit and chat and get the cut Im looking for, whether it takes 40 minutes or 90.Ive been to 20+ barbers here in the Springs, and have always had a hard time finding the experience and the cut that fit my standards. Then a friend of mine introduced me to this shop.The first time I sat down in Debbies chair (about a year and a half ago), I was instantly made to feel comfortable and felt like I was listened to when we went over the kind of cut I was looking for. The atmosphere was exactly what I liked- not too flashy, warm and welcoming, and the vibe was right where it needed to be. I havent let another barber touch my hair since I first came here. Debbie always does an awesome job, and her attention to detail is supreme. She is always flexible with the changes to style that I ask for when Im feeling brave, and gives great insight when it comes to what will work and what wont - the mark of a true expert.Barbers have lives too, and I understand the need for breaks, the small bumps in scheduling, etc. What Im getting at is, Ive never left here dissatisfied or felt rushed or like my cut needed fixed (mostly because I always check the cut and ask for any changes I want before paying).I have recommended this barbershop to many friends and coworkers since I started coming here, and will continue to do so well into the future.

This place is amazing. Ive always loved it and will always love going here. Not only do they take their time and give a damn good cut, but its a very special place. I went on Sunday before heading back home with family difficulties and after my haircut with Debbie (I believe that was her name), all of the barbers stopped what they were doing and had a prayer for my family and I. I was so emotionally and spiritually touched by this that I left in tears and warm hearted. They are very special there and truly care and it meant so much to me.

These guys are awesome. I cant say enough good things about them. The staff are safe, friendly, accommodating with these times. Their prices are a little higher than your chain shops, but you really feel like youre getting good bang for you buck. I always go to Rob. He does a great job and makes sure you look like a million bucks before you leave.

The barber who cut my sons hair was wonderful. She was so patient and he has Autism so he was moving quite a bit. The cut still came out great despite this. We will definitely be back!

I went in for a medium fade and a little off the length off the top, and ended up being a high and tight. Then they cut off 2 inches of hair off the top. For $40 haircut I expected better results. I had to shave my head since the fade wasn’t faded and it was not in regulations. The people a great there, and are nice to talk too, but that’s not why I went there.

I scheduled an appointment with Rob W for a men’s haircut. I showed him a picture of a medium fade that I wanted and I received an almost completely bald fade up to my hairline. While lining up my hair, he cut my beard in half, which I did not pay for hair and beard, and pushed the right side of my hairline back into the shape of a “U”. I’m a 21 year old man with a straight hairline and he argued with me that he didn’t push my hairline back even while showing him the stubble of what once was my hairline.

I had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was amazing. The staff were fun, energetic, and knowledgeable. Quite possibly the best haircut experience Ive had. Thanks Jeffrey!!!

I love coming here! I usually try and get Jeffery if possible but all the barbers are great. I get a buzz, shave and Jeffery also does a facial, its great. Jeffery does a great job. Last time I brought my 4 year old in with me and Jeffery put on cartoons for her, let her sit in a barber chair, let her help him put shaving cream on my face and gave her some candy. Its always a great experience.

I had my first visit at this shop this morning. The shop was very clean and organized. Darla was my barber and she did a fantastic job. She took her time to ensure my cut was perfect and she also had good conversation. She gave me a head and neck rub right before using a straight edge to clean up my neck. She was careful about not getting hair all over me and even shampooed my hair when she was done with my cut so that I felt fresh and non itchy. I look forward to my next haircut with her. This is the best barbershop in the City, hands down. The little things they do here is what sets them apart. I always call ahead. First thing I notice when I walk in is each barber is standing at their chair waiting for their customer. Ive been to other barbershops in town where it seems like you are an inconvenience to them (Floyds). This place makes it feel like they appreciate your business and are thankful you chose them. Ive only had Ricky cut my hair, and he does a great job. The other fellas in the shop seem to take the same pride in their work as Ricky from what I can tell. The man at the front desk (I assume the manager) is pleasant, greets me at the door every time and asks me if I am satisfied with my haircut each time I leave. Im extremely loyal to places that treat me well and take customer service to heart. This is the place for that. Not only will I continue to support this business, but I will make sure and recommend them to everyone I know. Professionalism and customer service matter, and this place gets it.

Great first experience. Darla was so nice and welcoming and I’m happy how she took her time, and asked questions to clarify what I wanted before she started cutting. I prefer barbers that take their time to do it right, so I don’t mind if it takes a little longer. Also, I liked the online booking through Google, it was fast and easy to get a same day appointment!

I waited for over 30 mins for my scheduled appointment and they never showed. Would’ve gotten my hair cut from the other barber there but he cut it once and jacked it up. For some reason it’s hard to find a good barber shop on this side of town. Oh well, won’t be going there again.

Amanda did a great job. The shop on the other hand was a not so great experience. The music was so loud that we literally couldnt hear the Barbers talk to you. Multiple times they would ask us to repeat ourselves or vice versa. The bathroom was filthy. Hair and urine all over the floor. Paper towel holder was broken. It really took away from the service that Amanda provided.

My first visit here was great the straight razor head shave and goatee trim perfect and they took care. Of my son as well great experience here today

About 2-3 months ago I was promoted to assistant manager at my store. I believe I got promoted because of the awesome haircuts my man Jeff always delivers. Jeff listens to what I need and always comes through. Always a good time going to get my haircut!

Debbie is amazing!! Very very kind woman and great at cutting hair. She takes her time the first time to learn your hair but she is very good at what she does.

I walked in because i needed a haircut today. Two of the barbers finished at the same time. One of the customers Hair looked a little better than the others. So i asked if i could just get it done by that barber. He said he had an appointment so i just went with the other guy. The guy that ended up cutting my hair clearly got frustrated. I wanted to get my beard lined up. And could of used a little gel but never was offered anything. And now i have to go somewhere else and pay to get this fixed. Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a barbershop. I wouldn’t recommend walking in for a quick cut.

Overall this barbershop is ok, friendly enough people and they do decent work. Last time I went I made an appointment online for when they opened, the opening barber was late to work, and a previous barber forgot to leave the keys to open the front door. I had to go around to the back and go inside. When I left almost an hour later the front door was still locked. I used to come here over a year ago and the owner was always in and very pleasant to talk to. But the last two times I went it seems the service has gone down a notch or two.

With recently being independent and living on my own the biggest question I had was, who will cut my hair? I saw the place had a good track record compared to other barbershops in the area so I decided to give it a try. Been there twice, nothing but a great experience both times, dont plan on changing barbers anytime soon.

I took my kids here after being fed up with all of the childrens hair cut shops around town. Flashback Barbershop was wonderful with my two kids (ages 4 and 7) and both barbers gave my boys excellent haircuts - They took their time, didnt rush through it just because they are kids. Weve been back 2 times since and they have gotten fantastic haircuts every time! Highly recommended for kids and adults.

Waited 50 mins for a haircut. I had a scheduled appointment at 4pm. The guy asked that I wait in my car due to covid issues. And that he would come get me once he was done cutting another guys hair. He quoted 20 mins. I walked back in after 50 mins of waiting and he had forgotten about me and was cutting a different guys hair. Didnt offer to make it right and just said sorry. I will not be going back to this place.

Twice in a row my scheduled apt with my barber was skipped by the barber. each time was with a different person. I just called checking in before my apt for any covid stuff I needed to be aware of, they gave me no update on procedures, said the guy i scheduled with wasnt there and said he was too busy to help me reschedule with someone else and hung up. i might have to find somewhere else to go. very similar situations the last 3 times ive dealt with them. they used to be great but here lately theyve been slacking.

James has created a fantastic environment for men to experience the nostalgia of an old time barber shop experience with the luxury of modern comfort that I greatly appreciate. His barber, Neil, not only gave me a great haircut, but he ended it with a thorough razor cut to my neck to my sideburns and even over the ears and temples. Top that off with a hot towel, and its one of the best barbershop experiences I have ever had. I really hope James inspiration and re-creating the old time barbershop really takes root in Colorado Springs.I cant wait till they get straight razors and traditional shaving products in!Neil... A wonderful experience. The prices might be a little higher then your day to day Supper Clipper drive through snip shop. But you get what you pay for. Detailed work to make any gentlemen look his best. Treat yourself to a hot shave.

Best barbershop in Colorado Springs!! The staff is always very welcoming and pleasant. They offer you a free beverage of your choice while you wait in the comfortable chairs. Every barber chair has its own television and your barber will tune in the station of your choosing. Ask for Justin, He is a skilled barber and really takes care of his customers!!

Flashback is a great experience. Locally-owned and operated, this shop takes you back to an era where barbers truly cared about their work and paid close attention to the small details. Flashback is clean, well-lit and has that touch of class that great barbershops should have. While waiting, the owner may offer you a free soda while you relax and chat with other patrons or watch one of the flat screens showing sports or news. I have yet to try their shoeshine service, but look forward to it. Making an appointment is recommended if you need to come on the weekend, which can be done over the phone or online (requires registration and is a bit cumbersome). Service is fast and thorough. There are only 4-5 barbers, but from what I can tell, all offer a great haircut with a hot-lather straight razor neck shave and warm towel treatment (& neck massage if you like). The one thing I think they could add is some more mens hair & shave products. Be sure and get the free frequent loyalty punch card

Flashback barber focuses on detail and gives a great haircut! Robert did exactly what I asked him and took care of me. I strongly recommend him for anyone whos looking for a great haircut! I definitely will never change places again!

First time there. Hate going to a new baber shop because you never know what you are going to get. Had a great first and will be back. They seem to take their time but the cut is done right.

The place was classy, but overpriced. The haircut I got wasn’t even close to what I asked for. The lady worked hard at it, but surely didn’t understand what a classic block cut was. I asked for it to be short on the top and it was very long. I would have had her attempt to fix it, but getting to that point took way too long. On a good note, I loved the hot towel and the straight razor. That is why I went there in the first place.

Went in for a regular haircut, explained exactly what I needed to my barber. I have a disability that makes me stagger and slur my words, and I guess they thought I was drunk. Whatever the reason, I sat in that chair for thirty minutes while my barber, the only black man in the shop, combed my hair and was very quiet. When he handed me the mirror I noticed everyone in the shop staring - that man had given me a mullet!!! I couldnt even speak I was so mad. I paid the bill - and left a tip - and drove straight to SuperCuts who followed the same instructions and gave me a great haircut.

I would give negative stars if i could. First time getting my husband a hair cut and the guy was in the hospital and left appointment was at 1030 come 11 they still hadnt taken him. I will never come back. Very sketchy.

A good friend of mine once said you buy cheap, you buy twice. This establishment is the apex of getting what you pay for. I could get a factory style cut on Post or come here, this is the place. A real barber shop. My son had his first real barber cut here and cried when he got OUT of the chair. If little man likes it you know it must be good.

This place is like a step back in time where courtesy and care go into every transaction. From getting greeted at the door with a smile and a drink offer to the care the barber gives to each snip and clip, to the hot towel and strait razor finish, prepare to be pampered.

I got a great, high quality haircut from Nick. The atmosphere is laid back and the music isnt blaring loud so you can actually have a conversation without feeling like youre yelling, unlike some other places Ive been to. Its a great price for a quality haircut!

Barber that was available to cut my hair was severely obese and made little grunting sounds while he cut. Not relaxing at all and the cut was terrible.

I was excited to see this barbershop. It had all the qualities of being me go to place.I had a terrible bad haircut. I have had $7.00 haircuts that were better.Now, part of the blame might of been mine as it was about 6:10 and theyclose at 6:30, so my barber might of been in a hurry to close.I do not think that I will be back, but my hair will and I will go to a different barbershop.

Solid barbers, but very unpunctual. Scheduled appointments through the shop’s website, and on several occasions, with various barbers, I would wait 10+ minutes past my scheduled time. The final straw for me was yesterday, I was crunched for time, scheduled my appointment for 1p, and the barber was at lunch past 1:10p. I left, never to return. You would think for the price, the shop and it’s barbers would respect the customer’s time, but not at this barbershop.
