Blair and Brian did an awesome job fixing a really severe front door alignment issue. They were prompt, polite, professional and super skilled. They had to use some very creative solutions to get the job done, and had good advice regarding root causes and long term solutions. I’ll definitely be recommending Michael’s Keys to all my friends and coworkers for future work.

I placed an order to re-key and make new keys for our business. The purpose of this exchange was to limit access by having new keyed access. There was a mistake because the locks and keys I received were identical to the locks and keys on the buildings. When I went back to the store and explained the issue I was treated poorly. The locksmith behind the counter was extremely up-set wanted to blame me for the problem. I wasnt there to place or receive blame. I was there to have a problem resolved. His final words were I will get to it when I get to it.Note: I am the director of Customer Service and if I treat my customers this way I would not have customers.

Ordered a safe, and paid what I feel is a fair price. It had to be made, so a ~30 day wait was in order.When it arrived, I was notified and an install date set. The crew came to install it, and fully unwrapped it out it in the street for all to see, and it was there a good 30min. Never had that happen with other safe purchases from other vendors. Discretion would be nice.I had to pay extra to get it into my house, because my threshold step was over 3.5”. They simply laid down a metal sheet as a ramp, and used the same sheet inside to drive the dolly over. Seemed a bit stingy when I was already paying an install fee. Also had to pay extra to bolt it down, which was never a fee from other vendors.Install went well until the final few inches. The guys could not muscle it in, so I offered to get a screw jack and 4x4 to move it into place. When i came back they were ramming the safe with the pallet jack trying to get it to move. They slightly deformed the door and chipped off some paint. I notified Michaels and they really didnt seem to care.I noticed the lock was not what I ordered. Michaels never looked at the unit before installation, so they were not sure what I got. I had to open the door access panel to confirm it was indeed wrong. I was told a replacement would be ordered.A week later I was told it would be a few more days.Then I was told it arrived but without the dial and trim ring.Then an install was set. Then it was cancelled the day of because the tech was not qualified to do the work. A new appt was set.Late in the day of the new install I called to confirm they were still coming. Turns out they were not.So they came the next day.Overall it took just over a month to get the new lock put on.Overall experience was below average. Would not use this company in the future.

Great info. Great people. Here’s the kicker. While they tried to get my new Mustang to talk to their computer (to program my replacement FOBs) I got to watch these guys take care of about 10 people. Each professionally. Each with implementable solutions. Each without regard to a low cost of 5 dollars or the guy with the safe for a couple thousand. Yes, these guys and gals are wonderful. No, they couldn’t make my defective FOBs work and they told me why. Probably 40 minutes invested in me - no charge. I recommend them.

Our truck was stolen and inside was the keys to our 1985 Airstream. We contacted Airstream and they said our model of locks are no longer manufactured. We took our Airstream to Michaels and within an hour, they made new keys for 5 locks. The guy that helped us was so professional and extremely knowledgable. Ive always taken my cars here for keys. The LAST TIME I was quoted over the phone the usual price. I have been here three times for a Ford vehicle. Price was consistent. The quote was also the same as previous visits. This time the price was twice as much. Then after I mentioned my quote and previous purchases the tech got very argumentative. Until I asked for the manager. Who was Also very rude, yelling when customers were present, and walking away clearly very angry and still yelling. ONLY because I was quoted a different price... THE MANAGEMENT TEAM IS UNPROFESSIONAL. The tech was extremely rude and ignored me at times. Only repeating the price and labor many times. Before I had always recieved two keys. Now only one was given. The company needs to know what is happening in their store.

Our front door lock broke, call their number around 430pm and they were able to come out within 30mins. Service is about $90 and call to come out is about $89. We have our own lock, Jeff was professional polite. Would consider using them in the future

Just purchased 2 Kawasaki Ninja 250r keys and the were very quick, the price was great as well as the customer service. Fast, very affordable, no hassles in getting a valet key made. One star off for the woman who answered the phone and told me valet keys only unlock doors but dont start the car. Yes, there are keys like that but they arent valet keys. A valet would have a hard time bringing your car back if he couldnt start it.

Called asking for a key fob replacement, lady on the one just keeps pestering me about whether I own the vehicle or not and that my name on my license and title match, just because I told her I just bought the vehicle. (About a week a half ago). Told her over and over again amongst her mumbling that Id already taken care of the title and registration but she insists on wasting my time over nothing and making her feel good about herself. I wouldnt call for a key replacement estimate if it wasnt my God **** vehicle. Thanks for that, just because of that first interaction, went be giving you guys my business

Michaels Keys was recommended by a local hardware store when they were unable to copy my car key because of its unusual size. I had already purchased a blank key fob online and all I needed was for someone to cut the new key. A very nice Michaels staff member was able to make the key in less than a minute and he only charged me $1.09 for the cuts. I was a very happy camper, esp. since the dealership would have charged lots of money to replace the key/remote!

This company is amazing I bought my safe at the Texas State fair they came out set it up for free and they told me that they would move it one time and I bought a house a year later they came out as promised and moved it and set it up yesterday I had an emergency to where the keypad is not working I called and Jay Reid answer the phone and he literally stopped everything that he was doing and came to my house from Colleyville to Plano and did not charge me anything fantastic company fantastic service you cannot go wrong with this company I will never go to anyone else except for this company they are amazingNick

Worst customer service ever! Undeserving of even one star. I called their company to change out a simple door knob for a property I manage, and they refused to even look at it until I provided my clients bank account information, Tax ID, current president’s personal information, years established, Bankruptcy information, years of bank usage and three financial references before they would send someone out to change a door knob. I have been doing this for years, but I have never seen a vendor so uncooperative. I was looking for a professional to solve a problem, and instead I got a bureaucrat.

Ten stars if I could! I have a computerized entry system into my office that went on the fritz. Per mfgrs Tech Support’s recommendation, I replaced the system board and reprogrammed it, but no avail. I measured resistances, sniffed wires through the building, but no gold. I had no expectation that Michaels Keys had any more that a distant knowledge of this system. Wrong! Despite non-standard wiring due to fire code, they diagnosed it very quickly to a broken wire to the crash bar inside the door frame. It’s hard for me to be impressed, especially on a technical issue, but I am VERY impressed. These guys are SHARP!Eric Schmidt, Keller, TX

The Posh Paw Resort has used Michaels Keys multiple times. Once to replace all the outside locks at our facility and twice because of failed locks. They are always quick to respond and sensitive to price. When they replaced all of our outside locks we had a mix of various brands and I worked with them to come up with the best combination of replacing or re-keying to reduce number of keys needed and keep the cost low. Awesome and friendly service.

Working with this compnay was certainly a pleasant expereince. Office staff that ansered the phone were knowledgble and helpful and the charge for the move was extremely affordable. I originally called to get a quote for a re-key service and the woman I spoke to (cant remember her name) was extremely nice and informative. She even said they could send someone out that same day, although we couldnt make that work. However, I scheduled to have someone come out the next day, was given a two hour window of arrival, and was told I would receive a call whenever the serviceman was on his way. The day of the service, the two hour window came and went with a no-show and no-call. At the end of the window, I called the office to alert them of the situation and the customer service person couldnt find record of my appointment. This was extremely frustrating since my family representative had spent the past two hours waiting for the serviceman to show up and I had spent 10-15 minutes the previous day speaking to the other customer service woman scheduling the service. The good news was that they immediately dispatched someone to come to our house and they arrived within 30 minutes. While I wasnt at home to work with the serviceman, my family representative called each time serviceman had a question. He explained what services he was performing before doing so and when he discovered he needed to repair something, he explained my options and any additional fees that would applied before moving forward. All in all, Michaels Keys did a great job and they know their stuff. It was just very unfortunate there was a miscommunication on scheduling my appointment.

I will start with the end. I was able to get a key for the piece of antique furniture that my sister brought in to the Colleyville location. I am happy that we were able to come to that end-game. I was not impressed with what it took to accomplish this. I was from out of town, picking up a piece of furniture from her that belonged to our parents. She took it in to the location 11 days before I was supposed to pick it up with the goal that a key would be made before I had to turn around and head home a few days later. It was estimated to take 3-4 days to complete. With a few times of my sister calling to check in on the status, by the time I arrived 11 days later, the key was not made. With a phone call, where I had to express my dismay that this was not completed yet, it was arranged for an field technician to come by to complete the work. That was completed within 3 hours of my irate phone call. Until I expressed my disappointment, this was not resolved. It was expressed, when we finally picked up the key for this large piece of furniture, that it has been worked on for 2 days by one field technician, only to be resolved for that piece by another.Unfortunately, the key only worked on 2 of the 5 locks on this piece of furniture. Which is by far NOT the locksmiths fault. However, if the key had been made within the 3-4 days as specified, then that would have been found out prior to my arrival, and having to escalate the completion to a manager. When I showed up the following day with all of the components of the piece of furniture, that being my departure date, traveling 1600 miles, I waited until the field technician was available to complete the key for all the locks in the piece.In the end, the first technician took a crack at it around 5 hours after I arrived at the location, and was able to augment the key so that it successfully worked on all components of this family heirloom. They did offer to refund my money for the key, but that would have left me without a way to assembled this locked piece of furniture at its final destination.In the end, I have a working key for it, but was not impressed with the pressure that was necessary to get to that point. More communication on the part of the shop would have assuaged the concerns of my sister and I during this process. Making our piece a priority to be completed, in the timeline that was originally specified, would have made both my sister and I true believers and customers for future needs. So this was not a total failure as a one star, but I cant say I was 100% satisfied either. Hence the 3-star review.

Fast, efficient, friendly, professional, had exactly what I needed! Has a HUGE variety of keys with several different designs, plus other little helpful items like keyrings, lanyards, vehicle remotes, remote covers, etc.! Competitively priced and well worth it! Will continue to use them for years!

I just had a car key made and it was great service along with explanations as to how to integrate the new key with the vehicles electronic mechanism.

Locked my keys in my car Saturday night and called them Sunday morning. They told my 1 1/2 hr. The tech arrived in about 1 hr. He only took about 5 seconds to open my car. The price stayed the same from calling and when tech arrived.I called another locksmith and was told 35 min. He never showed up.Great locksmith and will use again.

Great place. Every other company quoted me at the start for $120 to rekey an old truck for me then when their techs called it went up to $275 or more. They gave me a price over the phone when I gave the year make and model and thats what I paid. I cant remember the guy that rekeyed my truck but he was great real fast and very polite. If the owners read these Im speaking of the guy that helped us with the 97 k1500. Great place.

This is a rip off company. Could you imagine that this company charge me a whopping sum of$813( Eight hundred and thirteen dollars) just to install front and back panic door, simply because I’m in dire need it for City inspection.The Technician, Named Neil doesn’t have good customers service. I will never recommend this company to anyone as far as aluminum door is concern.

I moved into a home and could not get in through the front door as the bolt was jammed. No key or muscle power was going to get that door open. To make matters worse, we had PODS and Pack and Load service men coming to help us unload. Going through the garage was doable, but not ideal as there is a turn and a smaller opening than coming straight through the front door.I called Michaels Keys and immediately the young lady who answered my call (I wish I had her name - so nice and helpful!) was on it! She said someone would be my way in within and hour -- but 20 minutes later Julian showed up and started fixing the problem right away!!Thank you so much Michaels keys employees!! You rock! I will refer people to you!!
