From the moment I walked into the store, Andy could not have been more helpful. He really took an interest in me personally and the needs that I presented to him. My son lost the keys to his car. The first company did not have the right blank key and the one before that just didn’t show up. Nick from A1 was great, knew exactly what he was doing and I had a new key in literally 10 minutes after he arrived. He arrived on time. Amazing.

While I only had a key copied and wasnt spending much, I couldnt have asked for better service. The locksmith even said to call them if I had any trouble programming the key for my vehicle. Fortunately the programming went fine and I didnt need to, but it was certainly a nice extra touch to the service. Ill keep them top of mind for any locksmith needs in the future.

I wish I could tell you what this company does well, but, for that to happen, they would have to actually show up. I called for a locksmith and was told someone would be there in 30-40 minutes. After about an hour of waiting out in the cold with my wife and two young kids, I called back and was told there wasnt anyone available to come out. Apparently it was too much to ask that they actually pick up a phone and let me know this so I could arrange for another locksmith. They have lost any chance of future business from me.

Forgot my TSA key for my luggage at home on a travel job. He picked the lock for free as he did it in a few minutes. Total professional!

Our tech was professional and provided great customer service. He took the time to discuss all of our options, provide input/suggestions and explained all of the fees before performing the work. They are very reasonably priced! I would recommend A-1 & also use them again for future jobs. My only wish is that they could provide a smaller window time for appointment.

I like that they are open on Saturdays. Had to get my truck door lock keyed. The young gentleman that was behind the counter had good great customer service skills. He was taking care of another customer and I was listening to him talking about the safes in the store he knew his job. He got my lock keyed in a timely manner worked like new. I called A-1 Locksmith on a Thursday afternoon and they had someone out within 30 minutes. The locksmith, Tyler, notified me via text when he was heading over. He was extremely professional and courteous, very quick, and worked well under pressure.

Stopped by a few months ago to get my key battery replaced and saw the selection of safes they had on display. Not only did Andy get my key working again in no time for a great price he also took the time to educate me about their safe selection. He discussed what I needed and wrote up a quote for me on the safe I chose. I came back today and he honored that quote. It was quick and easy and much needed with a baby on the way.

I called A1 to get a quote to install brand new hardware in my entire home. The guy came out, and he was great, very professional. However the day before they stood me up completely. They told me they would be at my home between 1-3pm and they flat out didn’t show up. Someone finally called me around 5pm saying they couldn’t make it to my home. I told them I would still entertain their business if they could discount my services if I hired them. They said “sure no problem.” The quote was $2,000 for my entire home. I asked what type of discount they could offer for wasting my time the day before and they said the best they could do was they would waive the $58 service fee for sending someone to my home...I told them that wasn’t good enough considering most companies waive that fee anyway when your hire them....I gave them a fair chance to earn my business and they flat out never even counter-offered. I’ve never been treated that way by a business. Their attitude was “we don’t need your business”.

Came in with a small fire safe for documents, nothing as high end as they sell on their showroom floor, locked with a lost key. Opened it up in no time with no charge and informed me how to get replacement keys! The art of customer service is not dead. Amazing.

Called today and talked to Andy about getting a new truck key, and was told it could cost from $80-$175 depending on whether i wanted a replacement or an entire new key. For a brand new key i was told it would take 10-15 minutes to complete the process. I then went to Michael’s Keys and bought a completely new key and had it programmed in about 2 minutes and it only charged me $65. You can expect me to start recommending people not to be going here.

This location is right near our house so it is very easy to get in and out. The staff is great. I have sent several friends and family here to look at gun or drop safes and they all come back telling me how great A-1 is.

I purchased a key fob for my car. Andy programmed it quickly. It was an easy transaction at a fraction of the cost of the dealer. I would use them again.

Im a new home owner in the Arlington area, I gave a call to A-1 and inquired about a lock. The service was extremely rude. They CLEARLY did not want to help me. I described to them my problem and you could tell with every step of my description he didnt want to listen to a word I had to say. After 5 minutes of brief description, he started repeating over and over We will have to order it. We will have to order it. He did NOT know enough about the lock to know which one it is, he just wanted me off the phone. I have to agree with Kristi... with the difficulty of the economy as it is... and how hard it is to find a job... its disappointing that employees act this way while getting their paycheck. I work for far less, and for more hours, and hard labor, and I am not obligated to even talk to customers and I find it in myself to maintain a clear and friendly attitude to every customer I come into contact with. Of the 4 locksmiths I called, this one really fouled my day up, I will have to take my business elsewhere.

My friend and I went in there yesterday to look at safes and was promptly greeted. We had about 10 keys made of various sorts and in all took about 5 minutes to make.Andy the manager then took time to look up some special door locks we were interested in and find us lower cost version.Good and polite service.

The storm was coming soon and it was late, so I stepped out of the fifth-wheel in the local camp ground to let the dog out before it got worse outside. Didn’t grab a coat or put a leash on the pup... just opened the door and stepped out. I briefly froze as he did what dogs do... and went to open the door. It was locked. The dog wasn’t on a leash. I was in a thin tee-shirt and the cold wind was picking up. I am SO glad I happened to bring my phone outside with me! I searched nearby locksmiths and found A1 - and they were great! Dustin was wonderful, and 5th wheel locks are tricky... especially when the owner can’t remember the way it turns! He was so friendly, and let us wait in his warm truck and use his phone charger while he worked in the cold wind and rain to get us back inside our little home. I’m grateful to be back inside on this cold, rainy night and happy I called A1!

Working out while treating customers on his phone all the time even when you call up there he acts like other things are more important to his job. I work for an auto service center and we have used A-1 in the past. This recent call we needed them to open the trunk on a 1963 Ford Thunderbird that our customer had lost the key for. Not only was he prompt getting here he had the trunk open and re-keyed within 30 minutes of getting here. He had the correct blank for the year of the vehicle and the knowledge to open the vehicle up with no damage to an original/non-restored finish. Thank you A-1.

I am am manager of a salon calling on behalf of a guest who locked their keys in their car. My job is 100 % about customer services!! I was quoted 15-20 minutes for a locksmith to show up and call me in route to let me know they were here. No phone call and no show for over 45 minutes!! Very poor customer service if you ask me. Horribly rude on phone when I called back. Horribly! Im sure their owner would be sadly dissapointed to know this is how our hard working America struggling to find employment is appreciating their paycheck. Called another company and they came right away. A-1 aint number 1.
