I had an amazing experience with Brittany, and cannot recommend her as a stylist enough! As someone with black hair, I was initially hesitant to get my hair bleached because I know it can be hard to lift. However, Brittany did an excellent job talking me through my expectations, and was able to get my hair where I wanted it to be.

I’m new to the area and was on the hunt for a great salon - I found it!!! I was struck by how genuinely kind everybody was. I was greeted warmly when I arrived for my appointment. Abbey is a true artist and did my balayage to perfection. I really appreciated the “consultation time” at the beginning. Abbey took time to really understand what I wanted and gave helpful suggestions for my color before we began. When it was time for my haircut I moved over to Tony’s chair. This man knows how to give an excellent haircut. He talks through his process as he goes and allows the customer to make decisions with him. I was so impressed by the quality of the cut and how much Tony cared about precision and making it look perfect. From start to finish it was an amazing experience. I HIGHLY recommend this salon for cuts and color!

I saw the numerous positive reviews for Tony and he did not disappoint. He did my hair for the first time the other day and I love it! It was more then a haircut, he took a great deal of time to teach me how to care for and protect my hair and how to style my new cut. I already loved the Rick Moseley Hair due to my colorist, Abbey, and now I have Tony to do my haircuts. It was a great experience and I would recommend them 100%!

Brittany gave me an updo for my wedding reception and it was absolutely amazing. In fact much better than the updo I had for my actual wedding (elopement the month prior). She was sweet, engaging, smart and continually checked to ensure I was getting what I wanted exactly. Brittany takes continuing education on hair styling and it was obvious—I thought she did a couple of very clever things that I’ve never seen before. I won’t see anyone else for special event styles!

If I know I’m coming to Des Moines, an appointment with Tony is mandatory. Besides creating the best hair in the city, the salon is also clean, beautiful, and friendly. I cannot emphasize this enough: this is where you want to go.

It’s a cute salon. I didn’t have the best results but I had good experiences with the staff being nice. The salon is nice looking and it’s a good location. I love aveda Salons.

Ive been going to Rick Mosley for about 7 months now. When I first went, I was upset with a coloring job done by another Aveda salon, and was looking to have it fixed. Kelsey worked with me to get the correction done, and I love how my hair looks now. Its blonde, but still healthy, and looks right with my skin tone. Taylor is who cuts my hair, and even though its long and I like to keep the length, shes very good at adding dimension and texture to it, giving me a new and fresh cut every time. Overall, Im very happy with Kelsey and Taylor, both put the time and work into my hair, and I always feel like they listen to me BUT also give guidance for achieving MY best look. Thanks, ladies!

Good salon for both women and men

Didnt seem like they knew what to do with long thick hair, which I have. The stylist had me hold up my hair after washing because he said he didnt know how to wrap it. He also had me stand up from my chair for the initial cut and complained that my hair was too long. Didnt like the experience at all.

The stylists are great!
