Brian could not have been more helpful. As an experienced boater, he was thorough but not demeaning as most are with boat rentals. The boat was like brand new and performed flawlessly the entire day. This will now be on our “to-do list” when traveling here in the future! Thank you for the hospitality!

We had a great day on the water after renting a pontoon boat from Brian. The rental process was very straightforward and he took his time to explain the operation of the boat, all relevant safety issues, the weather conditions and of course, oriented us on the map. They sent us off with life jackets, anchors, map, radio and basically, everything we needed for a safe, fun time. The cooler filled with ice was a nice touch. The boat was clean, well-maintained and operated perfectly. As noted above, it was a great day on the water and the cost was quite reasonable. Thanks to Brian and the other good folk at Clearwater Boat Rentals for a great experience.

Terrible, go somewhere else. We made a reservation two months in advance and we were told the day before that they had to cancel reservation due to availability issues. We really had been looking forward to a day on the water and now left very disappointed! Don’t waste your time with these people.

We had an awesome time! We did not get the name of the young man who assisted us but he was very friendly and gave us all the info we needed to have a great day on the water. We will most definitely rent from them again!

Clean boat...gave us a map and instructions and took thier time getting us set up. We spent the day on the pontoon swimming and fishing and had a blast with all 3 kids! We will be back!

I wish I did not have to give them even one star!Stay away! First, we were twenty minutes late getting started. Second thing is when we finally made it past the buoys, our Craig Cat boat was very very slow, not the speed that is advertised that it is much like a jet ski. It is not! The speed as we were going so slow made the ride very boring!The third thing is we could not get our guides attention to let him know that our boat could not keep up with his. When we finally got his attention, we told him we wanted to go back. The owner would not let us try another boat nor would he refund our money! Complete rip off!!

This is a Great place for a boat rentals!! We rented a 25 pontoon boat for our family vacation. The boat was in great condition and clean. Ask for Jeff, he was super helpful and friendly.

We had an excellent experience with Tim and Hogan. They were efficient, professional and courteous. They provided us a brand-new boat at a fair price. They gave us great advice as far as routes. I highly recommend using Clearwater boat rental for your day out on the water.

We called to reserve a boat 2 days out but the person who answered wouldn’t hold it. We called back the next day to book and he said “someone swooped in to take it” — HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Will not be spending any of our money at this place. Be warned of their opportunistic business practices.

We had a great day on the intercoastal; fishing, lunching on a little island, and exploring the massive homes on the channels. Tim was incredibly friendly and helpful in setting us up for a safe and fun day. The boat was clean and incredibly well cared for, almost like new. The whole process, from reservation to returning the boat at the dock, was seamless and easy. I’ve rented boats from others before and this was certainly the best experience I’ve had. We’ll be back next year!

Havnt even been to the place yet good rates but the age restriction is ridiculous

We got a pontoon for four hours at $275, plus fuel. It was a newer boat. All of the rental boats I saw looked newer. You are permitted on the inland waterway only. The boat dock is in the heart of the Clearwater Beach area. It was a good experience that I would recommend to anyone.

We had an excellent day on the water, thanks to the friendly folks here. They helped load our gear on the boat; provided a thorough orientation to the vessel and operation; answered our questions and got us on our way. They are very customer focused. The boats are new and in excellent order.We have been to other places that do not have the same quality of personnel or boats.This is our new favorite!!!!!!

We rented a pontoon boat from Clearwater Boat Rentals. Tim thoroughly explained how to operate the boat and gave us a map of the waterways. He was very friendly and accommodating. The boat was immaculate! We had a great experience! We saw lots of dolphins. One dolphin rode along with the wake from our boat for several minutes. We will always rent from Tim when we visit Clearwater Beach.

Very disappointed with my conversation with Tim. I thought he was unprofessional and unreasonable with the whole application process.The screening process for determining an eligible renter is pretty ridiculous, and I did not appreciate how quickly he was to deny a rental to us over a dumb question. A question that could have easily been Answered/addressed over a briefing of the area/boat/etc. You know, like any other rental company would do.Despite our prospective driver having years of boating experience, and being of Age, it seemed he didnt like the fact that it wasnt local experience. Too bad for them. They missed out on responsible and able renters that would have brought back continued business. Ill take my money elsewhere and Ill tell everyone I know about this experience.

The best boating experience my family and I have ever had in the United States.. The staff are friendly, polite and knowledgeable. The boat we hired was the Sweetwater Pontoon. It was clean and well maintained. We hired it for the day which is recommended. Waterways are easy to navigate. We are returning to the United States from the UK in October, 2015 and we will be heading to Clearwater Boats Rentals for certain.

From the moment we contacted Clearwater Boat rental to the second we stepped off the boat after our day long adventure we were extremely well taken care of! Quinn was amazing at helping us pick the right boat for our group and setting us up with where we should go to hang out with the kids! We had an island all to ourselves for lunch and beach play.Quinn was incredibly prompt returning our calls when we had questions leading up to our reservation. We found the rental fees and gas rates to be competitive to other rentals in the area and the boats we saw (and the one we used) were in beautiful condition. The cooler and ice provided by Clearwater boat rentals was very much appreciated. One less thing to prep for the day trip ;)We plan to use Clearwater Boat Rental again and I would not hesitate to encourage others to do the same.

We had a great time!! The company with which we originally reserved a boat canceled due to mechanical failure. Our Fathers Day weekend plans were still on when Tim promptly called back to confirm availability. He gave us his parking spot, thoroughly explained safety information and got us out to catch fish and sunshine.

Jeff was great, very accommodating and friendly. They have very nice / new pontoon boats for rent. Wish we could have explored in the gulf, but is not allowed.

Avoid this merchant . Paid for 2 exciting ride,, Terrible experience, 20 minutes later, boat would not perform as expected, only out 1 hour .. as for partial refund and they said boss refused . Groupon stepped in for full refund

They will not rent to you if they dont like the reason you are visiting Clearwater Beach. I use thed word annual friends party and bachelor party and they said the owner will not rent to you. Tell them you are going to read books on the water and they may say ok.

I was extremely disappointed when I was told I did not have enough recent boating experience to be qualified as a driver....given the fact that I was a ships pilot and navigator in the Coast Guard and have operated boats for over 40 years.
