First time in and had an appointment with Renaldo. All I can say is the guy is an artist. Very sure with his cuts, very precise, and very friendly. Walked out with a smile and the best mid fade Ive ever gotten, exactly how I asked for it.As for the shop, its a smaller locally owned business with a laid back atmosphere. Was comfortable while waiting a few minutes to get seen since I was early.Overall I was very impressed by my experience and plan to become a regular. If you give them a shot you wont be disappointed. Here work men of talent.

10/10 Being fairly new to the area a friend recommended this place, my first time there was a great experience and Ive gone back many times since. The barbers there, Q and Renaldo, are very friendly and professional. I see Renaldo and every time the haircuts are very well done, there is no lack of attention to detail here, he listens to what I want done and does it exactly how I want, I will defiantly continue to come here. The photos of the kids haircuts were misleading. We came in with a picture for them to try to copy. The barber glanced at it once at the beginning, then proceeded to botch it entirely. Cut way too much off the top, and made the front look bad. Maybe if he had spent more than a split second, it would have looked closer to what we wanted. Maybe they were just in a rush.I ended up going to someone else to clean it up.For sure the designs on the side cut into the fade... Is misleading in the photos posted. The barber said he wouldnt do anything more than the simple cut.To be fair, it was done on straight, Puerto Rican hair. These guys might be great on other types of hair, I dont know.The staff were nice enough. But, I wont be back, and I dont recommend it.

After moving to Clearwater, FL over a month ago, I had to find our son a new barber to keep his hair maintained. I googled a few places in area and this one came up along with a few others. So, I researched them all and found A Cut Above the Rest the best fit, due to the experience of Q the barber, his price was reasonable, and the overall look and feel of the shop. Not to mention his close proximity to our new home. Just this past Saturday Oct 10th was our first appointment and we arrived 15 mins early to feel the place out and I must say that my husband and I were very pleased by the appearance of the shop and the barbers. Our son was comfortable sitting in Qs chair and Q did a great job taming our sons tresses. He was very professional, and timely in his work. After cutting our sons hair, my husband paid Q including the tip and he thanked me for researching and choosing his shop for our sons hair care needs. If you live in the Clearwater area, I highly recommend checking out this shop. We as well as our son were very satisfied with Qs work and will be visiting again. Q also works along side two other very professional barbers that make the shop feel very comfortable to be in.

I just wanted to leave a solid review for my boy Renaldo. He is an Albanian cat that does a fantastic job here at A Cut Above the Rest. I live in Palm Harbor and I make the trek down to Clearwater to get my cut. Theyre on the corner of Gulf to Bay/Hercules. Q is the owner, but Renaldo can be found here, I would say, almost everyday. Give him a shot Im sure you will not be disappointed his fades always come out tight.
