One of the best experiences Ive had with a mechanic. Brought my 52 chevy for a tune up, a new muffler and some other odds and ends. It runs better than it ever has and Michael was fair and VERY responsive. Ill be trusting him with my vehicles from now on.

This place is the true envisionment of what an honest Hometown mechanic should be. The staff is very friendly from the get-go and very kind. You can absolutely openly discuss your problems with them and they dont shun you off. Mr. Michael is absolutely amazing efficient and honest. My vehicle presented with an overheating issue but it turned out it was a transmission. Mr. Michael helped me locate recall information and helped point me in the right direction to get the vehicle repaired. I really appreciate their open honesty, their effectiveness, their business and their kind friendly atmosphere!

The work speaks for itself here, always done with care and always done right. But what means even more to me is the level of honesty. (We all know that can be hard to find in a mechanic.) I got an overestimate from a NJ shop just before I moved to Clayton last year and told Michael all I needed to get done. Instead of taking advantage, he told me what was really needed and what needed an eye kept on for the future. Over the past year, time and again, Ive seen that level of integrity coupled with good hard work. Ive already sent friends here and will continue to do so with confidence.

I have been very pleased with the services performed by Michael. In fact I have had my three cars serviced there for maintenance and other complicated electronic fixes with satisfaction. I have referred multiple friends and family members as it is difficult to find a reliable mechanic, who doesnt add unnecessary charges. Since my job requires transportation, I find his willingness to work me into the schedule a huge convenience. As a female customer I feel he gives me straight answers and if there may be a less expensive approach to resolve an issue he is willing to try that first.

My experience was the same that it always is, wonderful! Michael is an absolute pro and hes never too busy to help if you have a pressing problem with your car. I cant say enough great things about Michael and his staff. I had an issue with my truck that needed attention and they worked me in their schedule without question. They were honest and only charged for the work they did. Initially thought it was going to be more in depth but turned out it wasnt. Michael serviced my car for basic bi-annual maintenance and installed a hitch. He did a WONDERFUL job! He checked all over for any maintenance that was needed and made necessary adjustments. He installed my trailer hitch that came with the world’s most complicated wiring. He was truly a professional and even replaced a piece free of charge! The overall cost was very low at $280 and more than doable for a service I’ll need twice a year. Michael even offered me any coffee from their Keurig and to take advantage of the indoor fireplace! I will absolutely be coming back for any auto service I need! Thank you, Michael!

Michael is knowledgeable, fair, and honest with his work. Best of all, a decent guy. I first went to this auto shop in early 2019 when my wifes car suddenly lost all power steering (near impossible to drive the vehicle). We were nearby, so I managed to drive the car to Micheals - did not call or make any type of appointment.He quickly diagnosed the issue (harmonic balancer - not a part commonly talked about) and repaired for a fair price. I have been there for a couple of minor items since.It is tough finding a reliable, fair auto repair shop in this area. I definitely recommend Michaels.

I wanted to write a review about Michael’s shop after my first great experience, but I didn’t see that as a truly fair review. Now that I’ve been twice, I can confidently say I’m not taking my car ANYWHERE else for any of the work they’re able to do for me there.Mike gave me great advice about oil changes, educated me about my tire tread, and went over tire recommendations in my near future. It is hard finding a good, honest mechanic. I started taking my car to Michaels right after I moved to the Clayton area on the recommendation of a friend. As a local parts supplier I can say Michael doesnt cut corners when it comes to auto repair he addresses the issue and insures all defective components are replaced with original equipment parts. Michaels Auto is the best auto shop Ive been to: friendly customer service, knowledgable, helpful, fair prices, and timely turnaround. I had an oil leak and took my car there as a new customer about a month ago. He not only found and fixed the leaks - it turned out there were two - he also took the time to wash out everything under the hood. The engine area looked like new with all of that dirt gone! He also identified a broken engine mount, which I had no clue was broken - I just knew I sometimes had a shaky car. When he was done, I had no leaks, a much smoother drive, and a clean engine!As a female with little car knowledge, Michael is someone I can trust for solid recommendations and service as well as fair prices. I would recommend him to my closest friends and family.
