Have finally came in for service after calling them on the phone multiple times. Each time, a knowledgeable mechanic would answer the phone and provide advise and reassurance as to what my vehicle may need or not need. Very pleased with the service. Only Time can tell.

Good mechanic work, very knowledgeable we have been there several times. But recommended my sister, and on her job, which did not have any complications, they charged 5 labor hours versus 3 that Nissan wouldve charged and Goodyear would of done it in 2. She ended up paying more than she had to if shed gone to those places rather where I recommended. I was very disappointed, when we first came here we asked about honesty, seems greed took over honesty, unless you have lots of money to spend, go get other quotes and compare.

Dropped my vehicle off for a simple oil change and was charged $211 with taxes. BMW in Nasville and other places only charge between $90-100. If I was told this from the get go I wouldve walked out. Lady at front desk said she did tell me. That was a lie. Never will I use this company again!

The owner (Thomas) and the rest of the crew were very professional, honest and very knowledgeable about European cars. Their prices are very reasonable and I would definitely recommend them to anyone with a European car or any car. I will definitely be going back the next time I need my cars serviced. Absolutely my go to for my 89 prelude. Business owner is a very cool guy and they know what they are doing and stand by it. I won’t do business with anyone else that doesn’t hold this standard like they do. They are also affordable. They have ruined me on going to another off hand mechanic. Keep up the great work guys. If you have an import I would definitely recommend them for their great service and excellent work.

Had a very bad experience with Thomas at Modified Imports. I dropped off a 1994 honda prelude SI May 24th 2020. Said he would have it finished that same week that i dropped it off. Needless to say i picked up car car October 20th 5 months later and he never took the time to touch it. He would never call me to give me updates on the car or inform me that he was or wasnt working on it. He told me several times that the car would be done at the end of the week. He told me that every week for 5 months to be precise. He lied to me in the process of buying parts and shipping times. Said that he had ordered parts for it, and due to the COVID-19 the carrier services were slow with delivery times, which was a lie. 5 months later and no parts? I just had a very unpleasant experience with Thomas holding my car up for almost half a year just to pick it up with no progress made to the car at all. All i needed was the distributor replaced so my car would get spark. I wouldnt recommend this place if you really want an honest person working on your car. I definitely will not be returning or recommending any one here.

Very unprofessional, I have never been treated or spoke to in such a manner. I went in to inquiry about a service that I asked to have done and the receptionist acted as though she did not know who I was, I called several times and no returned phone call but the rep/technician informed me that they do not listen to nor answer voice mails he should have added that they do not answer phones at all. He came from the back mad and the first words out of his mouth was what is the problem, how can I help you with annoyance and attitude. It only got worse from there, the disrespect & unprofessionalism by the staff is surely a cause for people to reconsider giving them your business. The receptionist was just clueless and of no help, she only added to the problem. If I was a man I assure you that I would not have been talked to or handled in that manner. I only gave one 🌟 because it would not let me leave all 5 stars unchecked!Amy NixClarksville, TN

These guys are great! They know their cars and know what theyre doing no doubt. Would recommend to anyone who needs a BMW worked on (or any car I suppose, Ive only taken my BMW there) but they save you time and money. Weve always gotten our car back within a day or so and the price is fair (definitely better than the dealer). Also, Im a big and firm believer on customer service...they are wonderful! So nice and helpful and all around just great. As long as I live in Clarksville definitely my go to mechanic shop.

Multiple shops telling me that I need a rear main seal replacement on my mini Cooper and its going to cost $1500. As soon as I spoke to Thomas I knew he was an EXPERT! Very knowledgeable. Most important very HONEST. Not only was his quote $500 cheaper he also told me that from experience he believed that the seal was probably not bad. If it was what he thinks it is he said it will probably only cost me around $200 bucks. I told him even if I were to find it cheaper I will still bring all my vehicles and my friends cars here. To me honesty is the best policy!

Took my 2002 Porsche 911 to Modified Imports in Clarksville Tn the Summer of 2013, a friend told me about him. Thomas was proud to tell me this would be a THREE week job. Then after he had me transfer $2000 to his bank account pull the engine he said it needed rebuilt but he didn’t feel comfortable doing it ( he acted like this Porsche was going to be simple because he explained how much more complicated BMW’s are). He decided to send the engine to a friend in CA which is not that uncommon for a Porsche 911 motor. He said this was going to take 4-8 weeks and I had to transfer $8000 more to him. Months went by. After 8weeks I was begging Thomas to just reply to me ( I live three hours away). I would have to call from different number just to get him to answer. I ask from the beginning where he sent the motor. He mumbled Mr Motor in southern CA. I couldnt find it on a google search. Months went by with me waiting weeks after he would say he would get back the next day. I blocked my number and called and he answered and I demanded he tell me where he sent the motor. He finally admitted Motor Meister ( goggle that place for fun). This was the only place on earth I knew better than to send a motor from reading reviews. The motor was there while they closed for good and filed bankruptcy, so he lost my motor. It took several weeks with me begging to get him to replace it. He didn’t have the funds to make it right until he borrowed extra money from a bank loan from buying a house. He then replaced it with a used motor ( about the only option I could get at this point because I was really stupid and still tried to work this out with him). He said he had a motor with 41k miles and would he would grade the ims bearing for extra money. Because this motor is a lot to risk without the bearing I said to put it in. He said I would have a month warranty and a year option for $1000. I wanted the year warranty option of course. Now this isn’t a joke, he asked if I could pick up the car and motor and take it somewhere to get it installed, I laughed. I though he was joking!!! He wasnt. I said no Id like to at least drive it off. A few days passed. On December 17th he told me it was ready and to bring the final payment of $2k. He also told me the year warranty was not an option now (that was nice for HIM to decide after keeping my car for half a year). I get there with my dad that was going to drive one car back. My car was running but missing and spitting. He said it was a vacuum line and if I could waste an hour in Clarksville. Two hours later it was ready. At that point I forget to get paper work for the information promised on the used motor having 41k miles and the ims I paid for. This was my big mistake. I text him on the way home and ask him to email it. He never replied. Check engine light came on the next week. It was in my local shop and out and back in. Two months go by like this and it started knocking. It was hauled to Jackson Tn to a very respectable Import shop and he told me I had a bad engine. Every Porsche repair shop I called nation wide told me if it was knocking it would cost $9k-$20 to repair. I called Thomas he said he washed his hands of this and when I ask for documentation on the work he said they were I his filing cabinets I told him I would drive 3 hours right away and get them and he said they were actually at his accountants office and couldnt get them. I told him he can write what he did up anytime, like now. He said “I don’t know how you do business but I don’t do that.” Now I own two businesses and I can write down what I did or sold a customer anytime I want, he’s such a lier. I have no price of any of his claimed work. I do have proff Ive transferred $13k to Thomas and all of our text.

These guys are great, I have brought many vehicles to them and have always gotten fast and affordable service. Ive had them sniff out electrical issues on a water damaged 2004 Jetta, tons of repairs and maintenance on a 2012 BMW 335i, and even reset airbag light on a 2009 Volvo S60. They can handle all different types of work and they do not even come close to the costs of dealers. I wouldnt take an import to anyone but these guys.

Never go here! This place is a complete ripoff. I took my 2009 Subaru in because the engine had blown up. They talked me into getting a rebuild as my best option. Rebuild cost $4200 which I was more than willing to pay. They gave me the car back and it sounded like a lawn mower. It had a knock to it which he said was normal on this model...cool. I paid them and went on my way.Within two weeks the check engine light came on throwing a misfire in cylinder 3 and 4. I took it back to them and they said my plug wires and possibly ignition coil needed to be replaced. I replaced the plug wires, and that did not alleviate the problem. I then replaced the ignition coil too as directed. The light kicked on again after a day of being reset and showed the same codes as before. I took it back to them to check on it, and he then told me that the spark plugs had a compression leak and he had replaced all 4 plugs. I drove it away and the engine light kicked on no more than 5 minutes down the road. I took it right back and let them know and he said the ignition coil probably needed to be replaced. I had already done that once per his directions and he fed me some line about faulty parts from the manufacturer I purchased the coil from since I didnt purchase it from one of their vendors. Now I may not know a lot about engines, but it seems to me if they test drove this vehicle that they would have noticed that the car hadnt been fixed.I took it back after replacing the plug wires and coil a second time because the engine codes were still flashing after reset. He then called me within two hours and stated that it was fixed and I could come pick it up. I was frustrated by this point as my warranty was almost over so I asked him what he did. He stated that he cleaned the throttle body which I had done the week before. I then threatened litigation and they all of the sudden were ready to take the entire engine apart again and actually check it. Go figure. He had been pushing me off for months making me replace things multiple times, miss work, and claimed that it wasnt the engine only to find out it was. They said that they would have to keep the car for a week and a half since they had to wait for the parts which turned out to be two+ weeks. I finally got it back and it was running smooth for about the first day, and then it started shaking. By the second day I was going up a hill and I heard a loud metal pop followed by my engine light coming on with the 2 cylinders misfiring again. I went back to them and they had finally run me out of my warranty period and said that it absolutely wasnt the engine and that they would not look at it under warranty again.I would not recommend anyone take their car to this hack shop. Thomas and his staff have the absolute worst customer service skills, and on top of that, they cant fix a car as far as they could throw one. Luckily, about half way through this ordeal, I had the sense enough to start recording my phone calls and all interactions with them. At one point it can be heard him telling me that the only thing that could cause a misfire is the plugs, wires, or coil and nothing else. This is just blatant disrespect for me and my warranty and I have video taped them multiple times telling me that there was no way it could be the engine. Turns out, it is. That being said, I cannot wait to have my day in court and watch this man shell out more money in lawyer fees and court costs not to mention the secondary repairs that I have had to make because of his screw-ups. I really hope no one makes the same mistake I did and go to this shop. Their BBB rating is an F, too bad I found out too late.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place was recommended by Tom & Tonys Auto Wrecker. We had our vehicle towed here. We asked them to call with a price quote before working on the car. We knew that the fuel pump was the problem & we only wanted a repair quote. They quoted a ridiculous amount to repair the fuel pump (OVER $600) & charged us $93.00 for looking at it even though we already knew the fuel pump was the problem! NEVER did they mention a charge for looking at the vehicle. This place is a RIP OFF!!!GO TO TWO BROTHERS AUTOMOTIVE. They are honest and fair. They are going to fix the car for $150. They let us buy our own fuel pump and they are putting it in and only charging us for the labor. Thats the way it should be. They NEVER charge to look at your vehicle and they let you bring your own parts.

TERRIBLE PLACE!! They cut corners and don’t do a very good job at all. Every time I have had my BMW worked in I’ve had to bring it back at least two or three more times because the problem was never fixed. They charged me to replace my radiator a year and a half ago, now my car is overheating again and they said I needed another radiator that my old radiator had been filled with Bondow or some filler stuff. (They are the only ones i have work on my car!) I didn’t keep a receipt because i wasn’t given a receipt because of course there is a discount if you pay cash and don’t get an invoice or a receipt so they don’t have to put it on the books, well now I have paid for two radiators and really only got one, because now they have already replaced it and told me to pick my car up and they wouldn’t give me my keys until I paid for it. Oh and do you think I got a receipt on this one? NOPE!! When I told them they denied it And told me just to come pick up my car up now after pay for it! Oh and don’t you know when I picked up my old radiator that had all the Bondow and stuff on it that they showed me it had been wiped clean. Come to find out all in all it needed a new water pump. Not to mention how many control arms they have replaced on the front of my car. Do not ever bring your vehicle to this shop ! I am a single mother w 3 children, shame on them for screwing someone over like this! Terrible shysters !!
