Glad we moved out! Looks can be deceiving. We had a good start here. The complex is clean, close to amenities, and decent parking. Throughout the years, communication and maintenance service declined. Management will schedule something then would do a last minute change. They would give you a time frame for some service so you wait all day and of course the service was done past the time frame management originally said. Theyve had different people at the front desk but most were pretty incompetent. The only one that really helped us and was courteous was Corey. Of course she helped us when we were moving out. I guess the plus side was the pet policy, any breed and any size when I was living there. Other than that, good luck with this place.

My 90 year-old mom insists on having her independence. So we located her an apartment in Brighton Park and initially dealt with Stacy Marino. Stacy is kind, friendly, extremely professional, very well informed, and goes out of her way to assist. My mom was very eager and excited to move in to her new place. The next day we had to deal with Shawna who is the most unscrupulous, unprofessional, uncaring, and rude individual with whom I have ever dealt. Shawna was not helpful, refused to provide assistance, and was reluctant to give out information about how to submit my moms application. Once she was approved, Shawna wanted my mom to sign a lease and back date her signature obligating her to pay rent for the three days before Shawna gave my mom the keys to the unit. I thought this was a mistake so I made a plethora of calls to Shawna in an attempt to resolve the issue. Shawna failed to return each and every call. I followed up with emails to no avail. When I finally spoke to her, she threatened that if my mom did not sign the lease, it would be considered void. Talk about senior abuse! I was finally able to get in touch with Stacy Marino who helped me resolve the situation. Too bad for Shawna because what she did not know is that I am a lawyer. And fortunately for Brighton Park, Stacy Marino was kind and professional and helped resolve the situation without the necessity of filing a lawsuit, which I was ready to do. Without Stacy Marino, the management of this place would prey on the weak and take advantage of those who cannot fend for themselves. People like Shawna are a menace to society because they feel powerful and untouchable. But Shawna will eventually cross a line that land this complex in a hefty lawsuit. Thank you Stacy because no body wants to see others abuse their mom- especially at age 90! And Brighton Park should be grateful to you for resolving what would have been a serious lawsuit for fraud and elderly abuse! And I gave only 1 star on the review because anyone that attempts to abuse seniors doesnt deserve stars- they deserve jail time!

I have lived under several different management companies due to moving for my career, but this was by far the worst. From the very beginning, the staff treated me and my roommate with disregard and disrespect.When we went to move, they gave us the wrong moving date and when we showed up to get our keys, with our lives packed into a Uhaul, they told us that the apartment wasnt ready for another day. They did nothing to help us with the extra expense of having the Uhaul for another day, or the fact that we had completely moved out of our other home.Their reasoning for this was that they had to make the apartment perfect. When we moved in, we quickly found it was far from that. Half of the stove didnt work, the AC was broken, and an entire wall out outlets didnt work. They were slow and unhelpful when we were trying to get these problems fixed. The management was so consistently degrading and rude to the point that we tried to avoid contact with them at any cost, because it was so emotionally draining.The area is amazing, but live anywhere but here. The buildings are old, which would be fine if the people were helpful, but theyre not. They have no ability to feign customer service in anyway.Massively disappointed in the experience I had with this complex and their continual unresponsiveness while we were tenants.

The apartment itself is fairly nice, however, the management is impossible to work with. To start, they seldom answer the office phone despite being in the office. This was discovered when I called and walked to the office within 2 minutes where 2 workers were found inside (happened on multiple occasions). Recent complaints: they scheduled a four hour window to conduct a pre-moveout inspection, for which they forgot about and did not complete that day after I had scheduled other personal appointments around it. They then rescheduled the inspection for the following Saturday and kept me waiting only to not conduct the inspection again. I called the office twice and received no answer. When I went by the office at 3:45pm when the inspection was scheduled for 2pm, I found that the office had closed more than 2 hours early, as their office hours are 9am-6pm, as posted next to the door. The management is also notorious for shutting off the water without any notice. Furthermore, management decided to wrongfully withdraw fees for painting and cleaning of the apartment after my vacating, despite my deep cleaning of the unit and the walls being in perfect condition, minus typical wear and tear over 2+ years. I would never recommend this as a place to live, as I have yet to have a positive experience with the management in the 2+ years I have lived here. If you have a dispute against claims to have deductions of your security deposit, they will just ignore you. After the leasing office ignored me, I reached out to the regional property manager, who also ignored me. The only competent person working in the office is Miss Corey, as all my other dealings in the office were with Shawna, who dropped the ball on multiple occasions with commitments and clearly does not have any concern for resident requests.

Did I enjoy living here? Absolutely.Now the office staff? Not so much.I referred my mother here and between myself, my fiance and my mother, over 7 months we went in a combined 15 times asking when the $200 referral credit would be removed from my rent.Here I am, just moved out and guess what? The staff, including the assistant manager cannot complete such a trivial task if I have ever seen one.The classic run around of Oh, I will have to ask Shawna but then, when us three actually speak with Shawna multiple times, the excuses come from her too. They just look at you without the slightest amount of care. They do not pull up your file or any documents on the computer and do nothing to help you.Once they get you locked in the lease, this place couldnt care less what youre asking.Based simply on this experience, I still recommend living here, because the location is excellent, rent affordable, and grounds are kept up. They ruined what was a nice experience for me due to the complete and utter disrespect and complete and stunning inability to complete such a trivial task.I want to make sure people go into their lease knowing good and well that theyll never receive any sort of compensation they are due or any cooperation regarding said compensation. Theyll be ignored entirely because the office staff simply couldnt care less.

Extraordinarily friendly staff both at the office and security / maintenance personnel. Prompt service. Rents seem slightly more expensive than comparable places nearby. As of March 2016 the complex is under new management, so I hope the friendliness and family-atmosphere continues.

We loved living here. Friendly staff, quick response to calls,safe to walk through the area even at night. Within walking distance to a fitness center, starbucks, and two gas stations, and a beautiful garden shop that I loved to walk through while there.

These guys used to be decent but now they have a new policy of towing your car if you leave it out overnight. You cant park in an uncovered spot, you cant park on the street. If you want to have an overnight guest for more than three nights a month you are basically out of luck. I just walked outside and car is gone. It will probably take over $200 to get it back. Im a single mom on a limited income. This is too much. I will be moving.

Never get noticese of work being done. Workers enter by jumping my patio fence and paint all over my stuff. I called and emailed with no response. Charge late fee if you pay on the following businesse day if 1st is on Sat or sun. And will wait to let you know that late fee was charge to your account until a few months later. Then thay will charge you a late fee for the late fee you didnt know about. Stuff is rude and look at you as if your bothering them. Maintnice crew is good. Basically if you need anything done just talk to them.

Poor management everThe worst office ever and when I left there they decresed 500 of my security deposits for atypid thinkg which was completely clean.Not recommended at allPaying 30% more for old complex only located in claremont!!!
