Update: I reached out per the owners response to this review, and though hiding behind a facade of professionalism in their communication with me, they have made it clear they condone the dishonesty and bad business their brokers are practicing. Though they are only skimming small amounts off the top without true reason (as they experience no financial penalty if a load is delivered the next day, as their broker implied)- it adds up to a big savings when they do it to multiple carriers. There is no way Nationwide Logistics does not see this savings in their financial statements, and they lack the integrity to resist that temptation. Again, do not recommend working with this brokerage at all.We booked a load with a broker that was a first come, first serve delivery, no appointments, and even if youre driver got there first thing during delivery hours- theyd have to deliver next day if there were too many trucks ahead of them. When our dispatcher asked the broker to clarify whether or not it mattered if the load was delivered next day due to the first come, first serve issue, the broker stated that it did NOT matter, and never mentioned anything about late delivery deductions. If it did matter, we would not have booked the load. Our driver ended up having to deliver next day. When Nationwide finally sent a check for this load (33 days late), they had deducted $100 for Misc. When we inquired what this was for, we were told it was because the driver delivered the load a day late. When this was addressed with the broker, he backpedaled on his word, attempting to use the rate con as his shield against the verbal agreement he made. Nationwides representatives are practicing dishonest money grabbing techniques to save a dime here and there, and from the looks of their responses to other reviews- instead of addressing it with their brokers in an attempt to better their business- they are being unprofessionally snarky with people in their responses (which tells me they condone the dishonest practices). Do not recommend working with this company at all.

I should have read all the poor reviews here and DAT before booking. Booked PRO#307177 with Scott Sherman from Nationwide Logistics. This was a minus 10 degree load of pork. We arrived at the consignee at 0800 per our rate confirmation. We were informed no delivery appointment was ever made. We became a work in. We waited 9.5 hours and were offered $100 as compensation. My driver lost his whole day. This broker does not care about its carriers.

If only i could put ZERO stars!! have been fighting with their AP, Kayla, Georgei, and the broker for a $500 deduction for freight damage, when Bills were clean, nowhere did broker tell us about this deduction. Bills had no note of this damage. we were not aware. not our fault. after i tried getting a list of the damage breakdown, they ignored me. this happened in APRIL, still no response. completely ignoring all emails, phone calls, voice mails etc. Please dont book with them, they have terrible communication and very sneaky with their deductions and way they work with carriers.

I’ve been working at Nationwide as an agent for a year now, and always try to get the fairest rates possible for my trucks & provide excellent customer service 24/7. NWL is a great company to work for & I have had no complaints. I think the low-star reviews they’ve received are due to bad experiences with individual agents, but the company itself is doing its best to take action & improve overall quality. Every transportation brokerage company of this type is subject to individual agent competence or ignorance. It is an unavoidable hurdle in this industry but not a reflection of Nationwide as a company. Please feel free to contact the headquarters in OH if you have a bad experience or any other questions or concerns, because they are all very helpful and try to solve any issues that come their way.

He always call the recievers and inform me, weekends or weekdays, day or nite. And he always paid my detentions or layovers if there is any and without giving me hard time. I don’t know how many brokers gave u the personal cell phone number and answers you 1:00 am n the nite? Thanks Sean and nationwide.

The worst broker out there. No communication and very rude.I booked a load with Melissa Abraham, she called me and my driver to let us know we can deliver the load by 2 pm with no problem. We get at delivery around 12 pm and the facility receives by 10 am only.I called her and asked if she can find out when we can deliver the load next she told me that she doesnt have time to talk to me. I asked her to pay us layover and of course said NO because we were late. (she didnt even know until what time this company receives and then she tells me that i was late). I called her again after an hour to see if she has an update for us and of course she cant get a hold of the costumer and after that she never picked up the phone and just kept ignoring me. I had to call a different office so they could help me with this issue.Just do yourself a favor and stay as far as you can from this broker and dont book any loads with them.

What a load with Megan Kimble at nationwide from Arcadia Louisiana to Kansas City Missouri. When booking the load over the phone she stated that the appointment for pick up was 8 AM. When we got the rate confirmation it said 4pm. So I called the shipper and asked what time the appointment was, they told me that they do not have appointments it’s first come first serve and so I gave my pick up number they said that I should get there as soon as possible since it is first come first serve And they ship 24 hours a day. I arrived at 12:22 AM. They finally got me into a door about 11 AM. They had me open my doors and leave the reefer at -10° I was finally able to close my doors and was loaded at 4:48 PM. So I was there 16 1/2 hours. We even had time stamps from the guard shack when we got there and when we left. Broker refused to pay detention or layover pay because she put 4 PM on the rate confirmation And according to the shipper she made up that number because they don’t have appointments. If you can help it do not haul for this broker. I was very reasonable with them I even offered to just accept $200 for all that time.Update:Now they try responding saying that they spoke with their customer and they aren’t a first come first serve facility. Peter called them and it’s on a recorded line and they again confirmed it’s first come first serve. Just another broker avoiding paying detention time.

From Ivan Yupyn - continue:When I was calling them asking to do a conversation between me, my driver, him and his customer - to clear things out Andrew refused, as we didnt want to disturb his customer with this matter. But this is totally ok just to cut my rate $150 without having any proofs. Then I emailed him asking exactly what was wrong and exactly what my driver said, and I never received any specific information. Is this legal to do so? I never signed and never accepted brokers revised rate confirmation. And the broker never called us back to talk about it, never. Moreover, Andrew put us in a black so called do not use list and now brokers from Nationwide do not want to work with us. When I called in the corporate i was told that this specific agent is an outside agent for this broker and they cant help me, I have to email the corporate, which I did, several times. It was all silence in the response. Then, I decided to send all of the information I had, email chats, recorded lines confirmations to brokers insurance agency. No one even bother to call me and discuss the matter. And you know, its not about the money - absolutely not, its about professionalism, fair business treatment. We tried to book few more loads with Nationwide and every time we had to explain our self why we are black listed in their system and what happened that day. Then, all of the sudden we are told my multiple brokers from Nationwide that they cant work with us because we filed on their insurance. I asked to speak to a manager and I was transferred to a manager named Dean - not very pleasant guy at all. So we started talking over this thing back and worth, and I was kept saying the same thing, my driver didnt scream on your customer, we didnt yell on him if you think so, please lets call him get the customer on the line, or at least get me some kind of proofs. Of course, Dean didnt do anything of what I proposed. Dean said that he is one of the owners of the company and this is his police if the carrier files on their bond - Nationwide wont work with this carrier again. I begged him to forget everthying and start working again, as we moved a lots of loads for them and we never had any issues. Then Dean said, why would he use a carrier liked us if there are thousands other carriers. Of course, why would you use a carrier that fights for his rights for his fair right. Its much easier to use a carrier, which you ca always charge back for screaming on the customer. During our this conversation, Dean hanged up on me several times and I always had to call back. Also Dean said that their bond company resolved the issue in nationwides favor. Well, I never paid attention to his last words until few days ago I called their bond company and they said that the claim is closed, then I asked for explanations how the claim ended up being closed without notifying us - the carrier. Why the bond agent was looking for some answers I checked my factoring profile and you will not believe it - I didnt believed it either - the insurance company made the Nationwide to pay us that $150 that we were deducted because we yelled on their customer. That was a surprise for me, and i was paid 1 or 2 days after I filed a claim. My point is following, insurance its independent party which checks on everything before making its decision, then if the insurance made Nationwide pay us, then isnt that we were right all this time? Isnt this a proof that the Nationwide unlawfully cut our rate with no exhalations? The said part of it because of this guy Dean we cant work with neither Nationwide nor their sister company US Logistics. I lost a good broker with good working experience because of these persons (Andrew, Dean) poor business ethics. And in the end Im questioning myself why then Dean told me that the bond has reviewed a claim and make its final decision in brokers favor - when in real it was in our - in carriers favor. After that, Ivan - owner of our company, tried talking to Dean but he hanged up on him several times.

We booked a load with Nationwide Logisticss broker Andrew Floyd to pick it up on June 3rd, at 8 am and deliver it to Manheim, PA on June 4th at 9 am. My driver Sergei arrived to the receivers location on June 3rd and the receiver was open till 9 pm that day and Sergei just asked if the receiver can offload him on June 3rd. The receiver sad no and it was it. Then on the next day June 4th, the receiver offloaded my truck. It took only 10 min to unload, and my driver said, see it took only 10 min of your time we could have this done yesterday - and that was it again. When I called to the broker on June 7th to find out any more information as broker never called back, broker Josh lied saying that my truck was offloaded a night of June 3rd which is a complete lie, as a receiver offloaded my driver Sergei at 9am and we have a BOL with receivers signature dated 6/4/19. All their words is complete lie, cant stand it. Now broker Andrew deducted our rate for $150 because as it says on his revised rate confirmation FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUC. Neither us nor my driver didnt fail of any instructions written on the rate conf. Per broker Andrew, we were deducted for yelling to his customer which is a lie. Its not an instructions that we fail to comply with. We didnt do anything wrong. Continue in the next review >

I booked a power only load with David Kennedy on Tuesday for Wednesday morning pick up. My driver shows up for pick up at the military base at 8:05 and sees that theres a flat tire, he then shows the lady in the front office she responds that we knew it was a flat tire then driver responds to her Why didnt you get it fixed since you knew it She then responds we didnt want to pay for it then driver calls me (dispatcher) and tells me that it has a flat tire and as I was on the line with the driver David calls and I didnt pick up his first call as I was on the phone with the driver. Then he tried calling minutes after first call and I pick up and he only then tells me that theres a flat tire only as soon as we show up. He then tells me get the tire fixed and I will pay you for that. I said no we dont have the time to fix tires as that we are not contracted for this kind of job and that he will have to pay TONU for this. He then starts yelling and cursing at me telling me you want me to pay for a job that you didnt even do I respond that we are transportation company not a tire fixing company and we do not have the time to fix the tire. He keeps yelling at me saying I told you I will pay for fixing it. I told fine we will do but fixing the tire is not the issue it has all to do with the time it will take to fix it. So we go get the tire fixed waited 5 hours until we got it fixed and we paid to get it fixed out of our own pocket. David then tells me to email the receipt and in and out times and that he will us paid. I emailed the receipt and in and out times and POD. He now I try calling him and emailing him and no response all day! This just shows that he hasnt been in this business for long enough to understand. This agent should not be in this company he just ruined our reputation with Nationwide as we worked a lot with them just not David specifically. And Nationwide is a good company but now with what happened between us just ruined all the business between us.
