It says 24 hours but obviously it’s not because they like to clock out early and deny service when it gets close to shift changes. An hour to be precise. Maybe 20/7 a week but not 24/7

They need to do something about the homeless and needy around there. You should be able to get gas without having someone ask you for money, to clean you windows, pump your gas or buy them a drink. Not the place or time.Cincinnati needs to step up and help these people out. I donate, but its not my job to take applicants every time I stop for gas.

From a service standout point they were fast and efficient. The area seems a bit sketchy. Went by at night and police were there. Went by the next day and arrived shortly after someone got shot in the street next to them. Not the gas station fault. KUDOS to their staff for managing during the khaos!

It doesnt feel safe at all, and why cant you go inside to shop?

I dont like the fact you cant go inside might as well only offer only gas and thats all. because in the time it takes to look thru the window and choose what snacks you want who knows what is bound to happen to you or your car. And from my personal experience the African american workers are nicer to Caucasian folks. Like my money aint green too.

Ghetto as hell who knows...the typical locals will harass you for spare change, and cut if they feel youre inferior. Can not enter the actual store, thus leaving you vulnerable to the dangers of the drama constantly occurring in front of the store. However police are almost constantly parked in the Shell lot.

The pumps crash almost every time you try to get gas. This is with the new pumps that replaced the old pumps that randomly crashed or didnt work for various other reasons.Often the pumps crash after youve put in your loyalty information but before you get to pump gas, and Ive lost loyalty rewards more than once this way, both Shell rewards and Kroger fuel points. Shell will claim that you dont lose reward points when this happens but check your statements because it has happened to me. They offer no recourse for lost rewards, and say that theres nothing they can do at the desk.If the pump crashes after theyve started processing your payment but before theyve succeeded allowing you can pump gas, then you have to go up to the desk and have them run your card manually with a pre-authed amount which you later get refunded the difference of if you are trying to just fill your tank to the max. After this you have to go back up to the window again to get your receipt since the pump doesnt give receipts for transactions authorized at the window. Without this you have no proof of the amount of refund they owe you / the amount of gas you actually got since you had to auth a higher amount than you were getting to be able to fill your tank.Anytime you try to use Apple Pay (or tap to pay) at the pumps, they appear to process successfully then almost always crash on the screen where you tell it that it is or is not a debit card, and then the pump does not work. When it crashes there is no obvious message or error, it just hangs for several minutes or sometimes abruptly returns to the first screen without warning. You have to go up to the window and pay with a physical card as there is no way to use Apple Pay at the front window since the reader is kept inside and you cant tap your phone to it.The pumps play very loud annoying audio and video ads the whole time you are at them even before pumping. Ironically the ads right now are for software to fix slow computers, but the computers playing the ads are lagging so much that they crash instead of doing their job as gas pumps. There is no way to turn down or mute the audio or to opt out.On top of this, there are frequently people at this location that will ask you for money while you are pumping your gas. The employees cannot do anything about it as they typically do not leave the locked building they are in. [If youve never been to this Shell location, the front door is locked and you cannot go inside, you can only communicate to the workers through the plexiglass windows. This is for safety purposes. About half of the time there is a police presence as this Shell is one of the highest crime areas in Over-the-Rhine (check the police report stats).I looked past these problems once, twice, even three times, but they are consistent and ongoing issues at this Shell location. It would make your life a lot easier to just avoid this location altogether.

Very warm atmosphere and the attendants know if they carry certain products, plus they never run out of coffee

Watch your butt! When sum bum asked for a dollar and I refused he went on for the entire time I was at the window about how he would destroy me. I didnt feel like getting shanked before work so I stayed as nice as I could but changed nothing.

Good customer service at after 6 am and before 10 pm

Difficult to get in and out of during rush hour. Old pumps that dont have the anti-tampering security in the credit card readers.

They finally have new pumps that work as they should.

Scary place with lots of drug sales in the parking lot. People always Begging for money. I would never trust the people behind the counter either.

This Shell gas station is accessable when entering downtown from Clifton, Mt. Auburn, or the UC college campus from Vine Street.

The safety and security is so much better.....

One of only gas stations downtown. Very dicey neighborhood. You pay through a window to avoid having the cash register robbed. If you have other options, use them instead.
