This barber shop located in Corryville is not bad at all. Its a bit smaller than the one I normally go to. But Irby is a great barber with what I like to call the Midas Touch. And his prices are fair and affordable.

A place one can go to get a haircut and talk to real people! Deep intellectual conversations! I love going here and its the only one I go to currently. A place for Black people to go especially if you wanna talk about things you otherwise wouldnt talk about anywhere else. Cool guys the Irby brothers; Charles and Phil are G.O.A.T. and O.G. status in my book!

Came in on a Saturday at 2pm and barely had to wait despite doing a walk-in instead of appointment. Had a wonderful gentleman named Phil cut my hair and was so impressed with his line work and design. I gave him a basic idea of what I wanted but gave him free reign as far as design.Let me tell you, Phil got in the zone and I could see his artistry and feel his passion for his craft as he was fixin me up. He apologized for taking his time.I told him, “no worries man. I see your passion. As long as I look good in the end, you do your thing.”To which he replied; “Respect. And of course! If you look good, I look good.”All in all, I am more than satisfied with my experience here.

If you’re looking to get a good haircut, I would personally recommend this place. By no means is it an upscale location or fancy, but the quality is on par with any high dollar hair cut in which have revived. In a bind, I needed a haircut and being downtown I chose to visit. My first impressions were of the location and the condition of the interior, I urge you to look past this. I was truly impressed with effort and attention to detail the gentlemen working here gave to each individual customer. All too often you find barbers who rush to finish, cutting corners and only notice once you look closer look at home. This isn’t the case here.

As a student moving to Cincinnati, finding a barber shop sometimes can be a bit of a challenge.. I tried out several over my first year and never received the level of respect and professionalism that has been displayed over my last few trips to Irbys..Some places we cleaner or gave better cuts, but when you walk in and no one acknowledges you, as a customer Im offended.. This was never an issue at Irbys. They are all smiles all the time and show nothing but courtesy and appreciation..For as long as I live in Cincinnati and no one else will cut my hair.
