I went for a trim and a cute straightened style after not having my hair straightened for 2 years. After 2 weeks I washed my hair(with the same products I’ve been using) and my hair was BONE STRAIGHT. I hadn’t put additional heat or products on my hair during the 2 weeks. I went to the salon to talk to the hairstylist who did my hair and the owner so I could see what products were used and such. The owner was 30 minutes late to when we were supposed to meet and she was VERY rude and unprofessional. She argued with me, used a very condescending tone, and blamed me for the damage(when I hadn’t even touched my hair). Long story short, I didn’t receive an apology for the rudeness, and no sort of discount or refund for the damage done. Will NEVER be going back here again and I advise others not to as well.

I had been seeing a stylist there by the name of Thee Hair Doctor aka Kitty Antwine. There was a time she had to reschedule an appt of mines and told me the next service would be discounted but it was not. I should have left her alone then but I figured she needed the money so I didnt worry about it. Service was quality. I had an appt for April 26th at 8am. I arrived at the shop on time and she was not there. I called and texted several times. Sent straight to VM. I then got a message from her that was a screenshot of her sending me message the day prior stating that she would need to move my appt to a later time. I informed her I never got the message. The app that I used to book her would not let me cancel the appt as for it was literally the time of it and for whatever reason she did not cancel it. My card was automatically charged for the price of the service and she refused to issue a refund. I will now be going to court to sue her for the price of the service and for loss wages due to the fact that I will have to miss work the day of the hearing.

Will not be a returning customer I was unhappy with the service.

Received a Wave Nouveau done by Christian; he did an excellent job and was very understanding. The salon is very clean, neat, and orderly. Christian was attentive and made sure I was comfortable.I would like to receive confirmation calls, texts, or emails in the future as I made my appointment 5 days in advance and would like reassurance that it was occurring. I will be returning to this salon, it was definitely one of the best services I have had since getting texturizers!Thank you.

Dont waste your time! I swear I try to support black owned businesses and entrepreneurs but ish like this makes me go to the other businesses. I called this shop and talked to the manager/owner at 9am this morning. I set up an appointment to get a trim, she told me to come in at 2:30p. It takes me 30 mins to get to the shop but I didnt care. I got there and paid the meter. Why the lady wasnt even in the shop?!!!! The other ladies was just going on as usual like I wasnt sitting there. It wasnt until I got up at the 20 min mark and asked one of them to call the owner. After about 10 more mins I just got up and left. I am glad I did because I went on to Great Clips and the white lady who cut my hair did an amazing job and she got a $20 tip. That could have been the other lady tip but she wanted to give me trash customer service and not even show up, I mean she didnt even call the shop to tell the other girls to tell me she was running a little late or that she needed to reschedule. Was it my fault for waiting on her that long? Yes! And could I have just gone to some place closer? Yes! But I wanted to support this black business that I found off of the Voice of Black Cincinnati web page. Never again!...

Ok so I walk in with my own lace frontal ($88) and my own tracks ($100-ish) ready to be sewn in. I had already made an appointment the Wednesday before and she told me it would cost 120. Luckily I had brought some extra money because when she was done she told me that it cost 150. But that’s not even the start of it. The day we made an appointment she said that the appointment would start at 9:30. She didn’t get there until 10 she also told me that I would be done at 2 at the latest. Not to mention it was homecoming night and I had reservations at 5. My hair wasn’t done until 4:45 and I still had to go home and get ready. My was a hit before the dance but During and after the dance my lace frontal was coming out. I texted her and she told me that I could fix it with got 2b glued ($5) so I bought that on top of everything else.
