This place is Amazing, the view, the food, the atmosphere and the staff. I can tell you this if you have anything to celebrate this is the place. One of the top places for the TOTAL dinning experience. WOW FACTOR! Recommend.. Recommend... Recommend. A must go. We was here on our 27th wedding anniversary, definitely memorable.
It was an amazing experience. Food was great, wine was great, and the view was amazing. We at the best waitress anyone could ask for. Only bad thing i would say is i wish we could of seen the view a little better instead of seeing people eating while looking out into the view. None the less an amazing experience for sure will definitely be back.
The Primavista was very good. The employees were very nice, and our waitress (I did not get her name because I was late and the people that I met there were already seated) was great she went over the specials with us and answered our questions. A little pricey but I will go back.
This restaurant was amazing. From the service, to the view, to the experience, everything was perfect. The restaurant was very romantic and had a warm environment. Our server, Alex, was diligent and made sure we were well taking care of. Our food was delicious. Hands down the best restaurant in Cincinnati.
An incredibly enjoyable experience. The wife and I both severely enjoyed our time. It felt like an event and not just dinner. The food was pricey, but the portions ( at least what the wife and I ordered) were well worth the money. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pairings were delicious. The food tasted fresh and made in house. The croutons in the Caesar salad were made from fresh bread! Highly recommend this place. The food, the ambience, the VIEW! We hadnt even left yet and were already talking about going back.
Nothing to write home about. View is nice. For fine dining I expected better. I don’t mind paying $$ if food is excellent. Shrimp was over cooked, salad was ehh Kits I buy at store are just as good. Rolls not very good small portions. Service was excellent though
Pretty nice place, if youre poor its fancy, if youre wealthy its just lunch. Seriously recommend the filet Minoan. Its small portions but its so rich in taste you get full fast
WHAT CAN I SAY? PRIMAVISTA IS PERFECTION!I took my sister here for her birthday today. The service was exemplary. The staff was just superb. I put in a special request for them to add a photo card to our table and they DID. Ill include a photo. We both had salads and the filet, she topped hers with crab and I got mine with a side of spaghetti. Sister had a glass of wine, cannoli for dessert, and a coffee. I had the mango lemonade, raspberry sherbert for dessert, and an espresso. We enjoyed the adult ambiance, lighting, music, AND VIEW. Our waiter obliged is with a photo and we entertained them by dancing in the dining room. I will go back several times for sure.Worth it!
The service here stood out to me. Our server was able to answer our questions about the menu and even recommended a lovely bottle of wine. Food was fantastic. And, of course, the view of the city is unmatched.
Great view, great food. If you want a romantic meal, this is a great choice. If you get Anthony as a server, that is a plus.
Took my friend out their birthday here, first time vising the place the view was awesome over looking downtown Cincinnati. The service was good and the food was excellent. Would have given 5 stars but this place did not offer a military discount and being a Veteran this is important to me that places support those who serve or have served our great country.
Celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. The food was delicious as always and the service was great. Always go there for special occasions. Never disappointed.
The food was fantastic, the view was just amazing, and the staff was exceptional. Our waiter, Andrew, was amazing. Everyone from the greeters to the waiters were super friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Prima Vista was great. They were very accommodating of my disabilities. Our waitress Jasmine was super friendly and provided great service. The food was fantastic. We had muscle, bruscetta, ravioli and the veal, it was all very delicious. We were also provided with a dessert for our anniversary. I would highly recommend going here, the views are as great as the dinning experience.
I have been fortunate to eat in some excellent, very upscale restaurants throughout Europe and in cities like New York and Washington, DC and Primavista is on a par with the best of the best. Truly there are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe this gem sitting on top of the highest point of the Incline District of Cincinnati. The floor to ceiling windows that stretch across the outside wall of Primavista have an unobstructed 180 + degree view of downtown and outward to the north, east and south beyond the city. The view alone is worth the experience. But, the view is only part of the story.
Fantastic service and even better food. Brian and Anthony were incredible and made sure we had an amazing first experience. I cannot say enough amazing things about this restaurant, definitely a must for anyone who loves great food and an amazing view.
Anna was a great server - made our first time visiting very enjoyable. Though we missed receiving our salads she made up for it by offering a free dessert. She was very knowledgeable about the wine we selected and exceptional at explaining the menu and specials. The veal saltimboca was out of this world as was the calamari. Veal meatballs were unique but just a little dry (I added them to my Penne Cionni but they probably go best with a dish having a thicker sauce). Great view of course - cant wait to go back!
The restaurant offers a great view of Cincinnati from the West side. The food is great and reasonably priced. I found the service a bit too hasty, we hadnt even taken a look at the wine menu when she asked if we were ready to order. But overall, a nice and lovely evening with my Love.
Anthony and Bryan were the best servers we’ve ever had! Christy is a phenomenal manager, came and spoke to us like she has known us forever. We loved the food, the wine, the atmosphere. EVERYTHING!!!!!! Highly recommend!!! More than worth it!!!!!!!
Great views and great service. One of Cincinnatis best. Unfortunately the food is in the conservative side as though its geared to an older clientele whos digestive systems need bland fare. I wish they were more adventurous with how they seasoned the food and with the food and drinks offered but its still nice to be treated well.
Annie is an excellent server. We had a wonderful time and a marvelous meal. The view fits the restaurant name, downtown Cincinnati from the West.Tip: table for two, best seats are up on the back wall, not the window seats.
I was a little reluctant when I pulled up but I had to see the view thats been raved about. The host was very friendly and took us to our seat. this has a very old feel. Our seat was a tight fit but the view of the City of Cincinnati was spectacular. When I Googled the best restaurants for a sunset view, Primavista was top of the list. This was a disappointment, even though view was something to see, the sun sets on the opposite side of the building. Our waiter was top notch. The menu was short. I order the special which is always on the menu but the type of fish changes. It was delicious and the presentation was above average. The ravioli was too spicy but without a request, they automatically removed it from our bill, Nice touch. Overall it was a good dining experience.
Celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary here. Jasmine was our waitress and she is an wonderful person. So polite professional and friendly. She helped make our anniversary dinner very special. The food was delightful. The view was great. I would gladly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to celebrate a special occasion, or just a wonderful evening out.
The food and service were amazing!!! So why the 3 stars? I made my reservation 2 1/2 months ago and and as it was my 30th wedding anniversary, I requested the “best table in the house”. I even called the day of our reservation and explained my circumstances to which I was told “we will do our very best”. When we arrived we were seated at the worst table next to the kitchen with an obstructed view (big tree blocking 1/3 of the view. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. While their tag line is “The Food, The View” The view was certainly not the case for my wife and I.
Such an elegant and delightful place. Outstanding food. My spaghetti with veal meatballs was flavorful and a hefty portion. It seemed all waiters/waitresses kept a high attention to detail. Savannah, our waitress, did a superb job. The view of the city, spectacular. Every time I eat here I have a great dinner and experience a new flavor revelation.
An amazing view of the city from every seat in the house. Service was top notch, as well as the wine and the food. I did not care for my entree (my own mistake, and first time trying veal. It just wasn’t my thing) and the manager/server were incredibly accommodating. Brought me a new dish no questions asked. Highly recommend. A hidden gem on the west side.
I cant say enough good things about Primavesta. Its my very favorite restaurant. An the wait staff is top drawer. An thank you Annie, and John you are just the BEST. Thank you.
Had a wonderful experience. Got aragula salad and penne pasta both were delicious.
We had a great dinner! We came here for our 1 year anniversary. We requested a nice view and they put us in a booth facing the city which was awesome. Our server Alex was very personable and great at checking up on us. The food was great and we did not have any complaints. We ordered the bruschetta app, 2 different salads, the Gnocchi shrimp special and saltimbocca, all had great flavor. 4/5 because only down side would be the old school decor for some but we didn’t really mind, just wasn’t super glamourous. Wine recommendation we were given was great too!
My first visit with no reservation was quite remarkable. Three course prix fix dinner selection included Shrimp Jacqueline, a lite fresh version of fettuccine Alfredo with juicy chicken breast perfectly seasoned and a house made Tiramisu (which is hard to find) filled with just the right amount of espresso while the lady fingers held their shape. Chef Todd really enjoyed this visit to Primavista and looks forward to a return visit. Did I mention the VIEW ?!CHEERS!!
Fantastic view and food. The wine list was also great! They accommodated a severe food allergy better than any other restaurant has for us.
Vista is prima. Service was efficient, polite, friendly, and appropriately timed. Food was delicious (e.g., melt in your mouth salmon, mushrooms and delicate glaze on veal marsala balanced and tasty). Highly recommend.
Amazing service, food, and view. Reasonable for what we got. Tipped at 40 percent or more. Thanks for a great evening.
Best Italian restaurant in town with an amazing view 😎 Always lives up to my expectation. Perfect for date night. One of our happy place in Cincy 😇
Looking for a special spot to take your partner, where you can look back and forth from your partners gaze to the city skyline, as you think of asking that special question. Finally the romantic atmosphere and unique cutlery give you the courage you need to caress your partners hand and ask them can you press the garlic spread?.Honestly, thats probably the best thing off the menu, that delicious garlic spread you get for your bread, we went through 4 plates. The food is good, but nothing to write home about. The entire experience was brought to its peak with our server Anthony who gave such eloquent descriptions of the menu. Never have I hear butter be described as eviscerated.Get a glass of wine, enjoy the view, the company and that garlic spread.
Excellent experience for a great vegan meal and incredible views of Cincinnati! They have a separate menu with vegetarian and vegan options. The pasta dish with portobello mushroom was absolutely fantastic! The service was impeccable and the views from the dining room, especially at sunset, were wonderful.I would look forward to going back at any time.
Overall I was very pleased with my experience. Service from vallet to hostest bartender etc was great. Incredible drinks and food was delicious. Loved the view as well. Only negatives for me was the small menu. I would like more options. I personally am allergic to seafood so it only left a few options. I did not like the appetizer. Was only one option without seafood and was told it was various meats and cheese. 16 bucks and it was 6 tiny pieces of cold sausage. The meal made up for it though. Good portion and flavor and a tremendous desert. Our seating was fine but they have these special little booths. It was my anniversary and im not sure why I didnt get one of those esspecally when they were empty. The place was a little louder than I thought it would be but my wife and I enjoyed ourselves.
I was of course totally prepared for the amazing view and old school romantic ambiance, however I was totally blown away by the absolutely next level food and service. We consider ourselves well traveled in the high end dining circuit and our meals were as good as any weve had anywhere. Totally blown away.
Loving dinner with a beautiful view of all of Cincinnati, the service was professionally attentive but overwhelming at all. I know we over stayed our reservation they never even hinted to polite to even hint. The food was amazing, every bite of every dish melts in your mouth.
Great view of downtown Cincinnati and good food as well. Limited options for vegetarians.
Filet mignon Steak was awesome! I can’t say enough about that! But would have like to have a baked potato but wasn’t offered, didnt care for the parmesan polenta with the steak. Need more selections of food! Have plenty of wine tho! Woohooo!
Wonderful view, amazing service and the food was incredible. My only hold back from giving it 5 stars is the limitation on vegan options. Highly recommend
Four of us ate dinner here and we were all most pleased with the food, restaurant ambiance, service, and the spectacular view. Even though the quality of the food is terrific, the portions are extremely large. The four of us shared two appetizers then two of us shared a main course, while two each ordered their own main course.
It was our first time there and it was amazing!
Company dinner was absolutely awesome. Staff were very helpful . Had a fish and was so good. Recommended
Freekin awesome. No complaints. Service was oustanding.
Had dinner here for my girlfriend’s birthday, and the staff knocked it out of the park! They went the extra mile to make it a special evening, and of course the food and view were fantastic. I had the seasonal fish and crab and she did the filet. Cocktails were very well done too. Our servers were Anthony and Brian and they were top notch. The reception staff was polite and welcoming. Last time I ate here was years ago and I’m glad to see the experience is just as fantastic as it’s always been. Well done, crew!
We had dinner with several family members and everything we ordered was delicious! We especially loved the rock shrimp gnocchi, the salmon, the scallops and the salted caramel ice cream and brownie. The restaurant is pretty and comfortable and the service was great. Highly recommended.
Good food, good service, excellent view.
We were with a party during restaurant week tried their suggested menu the shrimp was old the veal was tough the bill was high $$ I dont mind paying premium if the foods good but it could have been a Swanson dinner. Upshot the view is spectacular thats how I got the three stars
Great food and the view of the city is amazing here...service was top notch and staff very friendly!! 5 stars and worth so much more...
Try to be there at sunset. Amazing view. Delicious food. Excellent staff.
A wonderful view with great service and perfectly prepared food.
Visited during restaurant week. My FIRST TIME! Customer service was great! Food- great! Polenta- Excellent
Why did it take so long for us to go?!Fantastic view, wonderful service, and most importantly delicious food.We started off with the basil pesto bruschetta. Fresh, flavorful pesto on top of soft and crunchy ciabatta. Yes, soft AND crunchy. It was so good, I couldnt even get a picture before it was all gone. We all had the cesaer salad. The girls said it was one of the best theyve ever had. My daughter had the sausage and mushroom ravioli. The red sauce (no, Italians dont really call it gravy) had a deep, well developed flavor. My wife had the shrimp scampi. Mmmm yum! was heard many times. I had the sauted seasonal fish topped with crab. Light and delicate, cooked to perfection. As it was almost my birthday, so our waiter Josh, surprised me with a couple scoops of spumoni. Hands down the best Ive ever had. After seeing an order of the raspberry sorbetto go by, my daughter couldnt resist. It was everything I could do to get her to share a bite.We couldnt have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be back.
Enjoyed an exquisite view while dining in a very romantic atmosphere. Peaceful and relaxing. The food was so delicious!! Every bite was as good as the first! I definitely found my new favorite place to unwind and enjoy myself! The service was excellent!!
Good food and good service 😊
The view was lovely. The food was okay--nothing great, but nothing bad. It was a bit overpriced. I doubt well be back.
We had great service at dinner and our waitress checked in on us often and a host came around frequently to refill our waters. I ordered the side of balsamic glazed brussels sprouts and a side of pasta with spicy diavolo sauce. The portion of sides was pretty generous and I had more than enough food. Everything was delicious as well!
Great food, atmosphere and service!
The ambience was nice, the food was good ot great just regular.
Excellent view...great seafood specials
We love going to Primavista for special occasions or just because. The food is so delicious. They have a really good garlic purée for their bread. I recommend the goat cheese bruschetta appetizer. It is delicious ! The penne pesto and fettuccine are very good as well as the pizza. Basically every thing is good. Their Tuscan brownie and gelato are really good as well!!I like that the have a vegetarian menu and vegan menu with lots of choices. It makes it so much easier to decide than trying to find the options on the real menu.Service is always excellent. Prices are in line with quality and portions. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Friends took us to this delightful restaurant with an excellent view. Service and food were great, too. My only regret is that I didnt find this restaurant sooner!
Fantastic food and view!
