We just recently moved from Chicago and wanted a great night out in our new city. I can’t even tell you how much fun we had! Cocktails were amazing & food was delicious. Our bartender Annie was attentive, knowledgeable, and fun! We desperately needed a 5 star night out & our expectations were exceeded. Highly recommend the tiger shrimp and an espresso martini! Thank you for making us feel welcome! We will be back next week!

Totally worth the hype! This has been on my bucket list for a while. We went for our anniversary. The food was amazing! I highly recommend the pork belly appetizer. Steaks were phenomenal! The atmosphere is out of an old rat pack movie. The service was divine! Thinking about taking my dad for his birthday! Definitely need to go at least once in your lifetime.

Well folks it finally happened after years of traveling the country on my quest to find some of the best steakhouses. I have stumbled upon The Precinct in Cincinnati, Oh. Top notch five star service from beginning to end. I highly recommend the Bearcat cut, Bone-in filet. I was simply blown away by the level of service. Excellent experience, can’t wait to visit again some day

Lives up to the hype. Had the New York Strip and it was the best steak I can remember having. Wait staff was fantastic and went above and beyond. Shout out to Anthony in particular

I had the pleasure of eating at this establishment and the experience was superb. Not only was the steak excellent, the service matched. Do you have a custom adjustment to the menu? Consider it done. From the sourdough bread to the incredible chocolate strawberry cake I was delighted. The conversation from the service staff that helped us along this journey was witty and just as timely as the food. Not just dinner it was an experience.

Believe the hype. You cannot go wrong at any Jeff Rubys location! Everything from the service, atmosphere, and food is top notch. The complimentary bread with butter is a delicious start, followed by a salad thats included with your entree. I had the Steak Diane and the other two I was with had the Steak Collinsworth. All of our food was amazing! The steak is so tender you can cut it with a fork. Highly recommend!

The food is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, our experience was bad overall as the server (Sue) was overwhelmed and it took nearly four hours for our dinner. Our reservation was at 6, we couldnt leave until 9:50. We finished dinner before 8 and waited a long time (perhaps half hour?) to order dessert. We were finished with dessert around 9 and took over 45 minutes to check out. Management did nothing for us and avoided our table. This is the first time Ive been to a Jeff Ruby restaurant and was not asked by a manager how my meal was. I had to leave my table and seek out staff 3 times to get my credit card back, once was to the manager. I have been to Carlo and Johnnys a few times before and never experienced the awful service I just received at The Precinct.

Everything was great like always besides my steak. This time my steak just wasn’t up to par. Other than that love J Ruby’s!

For most people I think eating here will be a special occasion. Its certainly expensive but undoubtedly worth the price. Hands down a top 3 steak Ive ever eaten. All the sides are fantastic. Maybe the best carrot cake Ive ever eaten too. The service is truly world class.

Our table was ready on time. The room was noisy due to all of the other tables being seated as well. Our server was congenial, accurate and prompt. All good was prepared to order and tasted great!

An amazing dining experience!My brother and I took our father for his 85th birthday, we were not disappointed.We were originally seated on the patio but it was uncomfortable for our Dad, with a simple request they were able to move us to a table inside; this made for a much more pleasant dinner.Our food was delicious, the steaks were beyond compare and the Freddie salad was amazing.This was my first time at The Precinct, I live in Canada so I can’t return often, but it certainly lived up to all I have heard about it!

We heard about Jeff Ruby and his highly regarded steakhouses through a number of media publications. As lovers of good food, particularly good steaks, we added it to the bucket list.Well, in the midst of the COVID resurgence we decided to pop smoke and take a little road trip. Stop #1 was Jeff Ruby’s Precinct... and let me shorten this story a little bit...IT WAS PHENOMENAL!!!! Fantastic food, excellent service, and compared to the East and West coasts... reasonable prices all things considered.This is 100% worth the hype and along with Hall’s down in Charleston, one of the best steakhouses we’ve been to. This is a true 5 star ⭐️ experience.

Inside is so classy feels like you took a visit to 1940’s. Service staff were so wonderful, everyone was dressed so nice . Oysters were really fresh. My New York stripWas juicy and good. Portion sizes were enormous so I had a lot of leftovers to take home. Oh I was very impressed with the alcohol selection they had my favorite drink Hennessy 😋

Had an impromptu date night. We hadnt been in a while. We had an amazing meal. The steak was absolutely superb and the service, as always, was over the top. Our server, Alec, was great and made the whole experience even better. The cocktails were incredibly good as well.. By the way, I had the filet with the Burrow topper and even had it blackened... delicious. Thank you to the entire Ruby team for continued excellence in fine dining.

As always the steaks are some of the best. Surprisingly had a medium rare-ordered steak come out clearly medium. Waitress took care of it and quickly brought out a medium rare. No harm no foul.

Old school steakhouse at its finest. Filet was perfect with char at medium rare. Freddie salad and oyster Rockefeller are awesome. Bridget our server was attentive and personable, excellent overall.

My wife and I had dinner for our anniversary last night. It was top notch from beginning to the end. Service was outstanding, Ryan took excellent care of us the entire meal. The steak (Burrow) was the best steak I have ever enjoyed, it was cooked to perfection. It was our first trip, but it wont be the last.

Most delicious steak Ive had. If youre ready to spend some money Jeff Rubys will completely blow your mind. Definitely plan on going again.

Two weeks ago we went to the Jeff Rubys downtown and I have to tell you, the precinct is by far superior. The food had a flavor that was out of this world. The wait staff, kudos to Alec, treated us to a night of extravagance. Thank you so very much.

This is where it all started. I loved the atmosphere from the moment we walked in. It had an old school vibe that I really liked. We had late reservations and only had the chance to enjoy one cocktail before they closed alcohol sales due to city ordinance during COVID. I had the filet which was cooked wonderfully. It seemed as if our night was rushed however overall a good experience.

I went there for my 16th birthday and it was a very special experience haha :)Food was amazing, filet mignon was savoury, soft and juicy and everything in between was just perfect.

I went for my first time and hope to go back soon. Everyone is very nice and respectful, I never felt rushed. The food was amazing, its the first time I chewed slow just to take in the flavor. I would definitely recommend to go here at least once!

The steaks were fantastic, but our service from Rylee, may have been even better!

Wonderful food and service. My only complaint is that since we were a table of 2, due to covid spacing, we were placed at a small table for 2 in the middle of the room. I felt like I was on display. Other party of 2s were at tables for 4 that were more private. I will make a specific request for more discreet seating next time.

Food was great as ever. Est there often. Service was below their usual high standards. Ate in the bar. Hostess wanted us to sit at a small drink table for dinner, which was unacceptable. Waiter wasnt very attentive to our drink needs. Still the best steak in Cincinnati.

Another fabulous experience, this time celebrating our shared 40 year anniversary with The Precinct. Our server, Alec proudly represented the JR brand and provided excellent service. The Cowboy and Filet were perfectly prepared and the entire meal was fantastic. We were treated to a very special evening from seating to the decadent chocolate cake presented with the delivery of a message from our daughters. Highly recommend The Precinct for consistent, attention to detail, top quality dining in a very comfortable atmosphere.

Wonderful restaurant. We go here every year to celebrate our anniversary. Service, food, and ambience are outstanding. Expect to pay some buck though. $$$$$.Once in a while they offer gift cards at discount at Christmas time.

The best steak I Ever had well worth the money

Went to the percent to celebrate my daughters college graduation. Everything was top notch, from the service to the food to the drinks. They made our day so special.

We had another amazing Ruby’s experience, this time at The Precinct. We’re always amazed at the way they pull it off. Gary was on point, as he was the last time we saw him downtown, and having him again was a pleasant surprise. The steaks are always cooked perfectly and seasoned just right, with a perfect amount of char. The butter pie is probably the best dessert we’ve ever had. If you haven’t tried it yet, you don’t know what you’re missing out on.

Everything was wonderful! Food, service, all of it.. and the desserts.....Wow!

We so enjoyed our oysters, shrimp, steaks, mashed potatoes and Freddy salad!!

This place was phenomenal! Traveling to Kentucky/Cincinnati area on business and a colleague in the area recommended this place so I decided to give it a shot. Initially it was pretty difficult to find free parking (I didn’t have cash to pay for valet, only debit and credit) but once I found some along the street the rest of my experience was great. Their is a laid back atmosphere when you walk in. All the staff is friendly. I had 2 servers taking care of me. I was kinda in a rush too and they accommodated me just fine. I will definitely come back when I visit the area again.

Exceptional service. Our party ate in the bar section. Filets were perfect as were the oysters. Interesting attired crowd.

I mean what can I say. Its an experience and everything is awesome. It certainly isnt cheap but the entrees come with salad and potatoes. I was too full to order dessert but they looked incredible especially the chocolate cake which is huge.

This has to be the best dining experience Ive ever had. Ive been on a cruise and visited tropical places, and had fine dining while visiting both, but the Precinct is a cut above the rest. Pun intended.I had a filet cut steak with mashed potatoes. Friends of ours had the Mac and cheese and roadside fries. I had two scoops of cookies n cream ice cream for dessert. I had fifty West for my beer. Let me reiterate that the menu items mentioned above were nothing short of amazing.I cant recommend the precinct enough. Pricey, to most or some, yes, but I promise you most definitely get what you pay for.

The wife and I did the anniversary deal here. Been stopping in for last 10-15 yrs. Always good, but need to send a shout out to Zoe, she was great. My wife and I wanted a private night and again Zoe was super: dinner great! Work of deserts and cappuccino temp, for $6.50 cappuccino should be stellar.. Hostess staff great! Just wanted to take a minute to recognize the outstanding and unbelievable service that I received at this establishment recently. Went the the precinct recently for dinner with a few friends and just had the best experience. From being greeted nicely by the valet service to coming in and talking to the hostess and getting sat at our table in a timely manner. Our server was Eileen and may I add if you ever come here please ask for her because she knew the menu inside and out and could even give good recommendations on things to get. And for a person like myself I don’t always like sticking to the norm. A manger that stopped by and asked how dinner was going was great to have that personal touch that you just don’t get everywhere. People are always visual if I needed anything and they really have good team work going there. If you are looking for a one of a kind dining experience please make this your first this your first stop you won’t be sorry!

The oyster Rockefeller were cold. The steaks had good flavor but they were cool at best. Wait staff was amazing but we watched the manager ask every table but ours if their meal was good. Not worth the $300 dollars we spent.

Love to sit in the bar area and talk to Brittany, shes amazing; quickly tending to any request. The raw bar menu is fabulous and I especially love the oysters and prawns with a cold Proseco,which she keeps on ice while Im there! .

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. They gave us private room to celebrate which was beautiful. The hostesses were so pleasant upon our arrival. Gary K and Kris did an excellent job fulfilling our every need and making us feel special. Managers Anthony and Griffin both checked in to ensure our party was having an extraordinary experience. I would recommend The Precinct to anyone celebrating a special event. They go above and beyond!

1st time visiting the Precinct and we decided to do carry-out to play it safe. I knew the food would be good but I assumed the steaks would lose a little bit since I had to drive 25 min home after picking up our food. I was wrong. EVERYTHING about the meal, from the steaks to the salad, to the butter pie was amazing. Our steaks were still hot and delicious. Best meal Ive had in over a year. Cant wait to visit again, hopefully next time in person.

A wonderful fine dining experience at the original Jeff Rubys steakhouse. This location offers complimentary Freddie or Greek salad and a side of garlic mashed potatoes for your entrée (big perk at this location as others do not provide that). The housemade truffle butter was amazing, I wish I could order the butter to take home with me. The Burgundy Escargot was a delicious appetizer and it comes with bone marrow. I ordered the American Wagyu Ribeye cap for the main and it was so tender, juicy and flavourful! Its a fattier type of beef that almost melts in your mouth. My husband ordered the Marty & Joe. The truffle creamed corn was my favourite side dish!

Fantastic!! My husband and I are very accomplished chefs and can be quite judgmental when it comes to dining out as we want it to be better than what we can do ourselves. We also expect the meal to be excellent from the appetizer all the way to the dessert. Jeff Ruby’s did not disappoint. From the crispy very fresh salad, hasselback potatoes, French green beans, and to die for steak cooked perfectly, everything was spot on, including the 4 layer chocolate cake. All of this goodness delivered to our hotel in thermal bags due to our caution of the pandemic . That is hard to pull off and keep everything hot and cold, but they did. I highly recommend Jeff Ruby’s and will dine here again when we are in the Cincinnati area

Great ambience and atmosphere. The restaurant has a restored historic classic look that creates a good and feeling.The service is friendly even when you arrive 15 minutes before closing time. The tiger shrimp is big and juicy. The the steak was a bit over cooked on the outside but good on the inside.The appple cobbler with the cinnamon ice cream is a good sweet treat.

Always love Jeff Rubies! Tried the newer Blue Crab Bisque and the Steak Burrow which was a perfectly blackened steak! Always have a great time at this joint!

The Precinct might be my new favorite restaurant. I liked the old school atmosphere and all of the food was delicious, more than just a good steak here. The ribeye was better than the Pine Clubs in Dayton and St. Elmos in Indianapolis. Get a reservation because this place is busy until close.

We had dinner at The Precinct for the first time tonight and we all agreed it was amazing!!!! The food was superb ( just what people told us it would be ). I am not big on steak but thats what I will be eating there again. I must have asked 20 questions on how the steak was being prepared tonight and Brandon answered them all and then some. The service could not be beat. I dont care to dine out often but our daughters got us a gift card to Jeff Rubys. We decided we would save the card for our second trip soon. Thank you for such a great experience!!!!

Excellent food at The Precinct! The Macaroni & Cheese was really great!

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday, we were previous at the Jeff Rubys downtown and loved it so we tried this location. Our waitress Madison was great. The crab cakes were amazing and came pretty fast. Our food didnt come for close to 50 minutes after our appetizer, which is fine they had a few large parties. Mac and cheese was delicious, as were the mashed potatoes. Now for the negatives. I ordered my filet medium +, it came out closer to well done, almost no pink in the center and very dry. My girlfriend ordered medium & it came out rare, almost blue rare (as pictured) My baked potato was cold and almost no taste, even with salt, butter, pepper, and sour cream. The manager offered us a free desert, but whats $15 for $150 of incorrectly cooked steak. Just left me with a bad taste, I would expect this out of Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn, not out of Jeff Rubys, one of the most prominent steakhouses in the state. I am sure this doesnt happen often, reading others reviews. Just sucks it happened you my girlfriend and I because we dont get many opportunities to experience dinners like this.

Went on a rainy Wednesday night for dinner. It was our anniversary. . The service from our waiter was terrible. No personality. Waited for every course. Appetizer came from cold bar and was delicious. Salad was overdressed. Waited forever for our entree. It was lukewarm . Told the waiter it was cold and said he would take it to the kitchen and warm it up for us . Are you seroous !!! Looked around and other tables were getting great service. Spoiled our celebration . Don t intend to try this place again. Too many others places to go to. Thank you.

Jeff Ruby restaurants are superior and The Precinct is my all time favorite steak house restaurant anywhere Ive been! The food is absolutely top notch, the service is outstanding, and they make a great experience for your dinner.

Last night I took my wife out for our wedding anniversary to the precinct. We started off we an appetizer which was very good. We got the brachetta. Next was our salads lisa got the ceaser and I got the Freddies .We were both served the Freddies which we didnt complain because she liked it just the same and we were hungry. For our main course lisa order the filet and I ordered the ribey both medium. My steak came out medium well to well. We are not big complainers so I decided to eat it anyway. The flavor was good but it was a little tough. Our waitress asked me if I wanted it replaced I declined we wanted to eat together. Ps she agreed it was way over cooked. They gave us a free dessert to take for their mistake. Last but not least it was mentioned to them it was our anniversary and the only person that acknowledged it was the young man filling our water. Overall our experience was subpar I know everyone can have an off night but its a little hard to swallow for $200 plus tip.

We went there on Valentines weekend and my wife and I still say that Jeff Rubys has the best steaks weve ever had. We enjoy Jeff Rubys so much in Nashville that we went to this location to see how it was and we noticed that there were three locations but this one was extremely nice and the atmosphere was wonderful the food was great so I would suggest giving them a try weve been told that theyre all pretty much the same if thats the case youre in for a real treat when it comes to the steak.

One of the first things you will notice is that service is paramount here. You will find professional and attentive staff while you enjoy your meal. Now to the best part: the food is exceptional. The steak is incredibly tender (the Collinsworth) and the flavor is perfect. All courses of the meal exceeded my palates expectations; from the bread ( the truffle butter is incredible) to the dessert (the flourless chocolate torte is so good I am still pining for some more weeks later).

So many times I have gone somewhere with high expectations, only to be disappointed in the money and calories wasted.The is not one of those times. The food, atmosphere, and service was top notch. This is definitely a destination and memorable experience that we are lucky to have so close.
