Very nice on the inside too many steps to be honest with you. I hope my son and his future wife have their reception and their wedding here, I look forward to it.
The Center was an AMAZING venue. It was so beautiful, the staff Katie and Paula were so helpful across the whole planning process, and I loved the space. Our wedding was in November and it rained the whole day. The Center has such a beautiful space and atrium in the entrance that we were able to still get wonderful photos. They provide a lot at the center, which was so helpful. They have the string lights on the ceiling, all the chairs and tables, the drapery, the table numbers, three glass vases for the center pieces, gold chargers, and a wood backdrop that is ALL INCLUDED! They also have a coordinator for the big day (that is included) where they will set up all your decorations for you and take them down. You dont have to pick them up until the Monday after the wedding. They have a bridal suite that is extra, but totally worth it. All in all, they are a great venue that really wants to make your day the best it can be!
My and my wife had out wedding here. Oh...my...goodness. Words can not simply explain how amazing of an experience we had. Absolutely nothing went wrong with our wedding. From day one, to the final day Katie was literally with us every step. They made the wedding planning so simple for us and gave me and my wife everything we couldve ever dreamed of. The whole team was great to work with, they had great recommendations on vendors for our wedding, and the things that come with the venue makes it all worth while. If you are considering booking this venue for your wedding do yourself a favor and dont consider any longer. Just book. You will not regret it. Thank you so much for making our wedding day absolutely perfect.
Well managed, organized and well maintained reception hall. The recent updates fit well and add to the upscale look and feel. Large windows on either end of the event space provide nice city views. One window overlooks Fountain Square. Nice open entrance with plenty of standing space for guests and tastefully designed bar in the middle. Theres also 3 ancillary rooms that provide additional options for your events needs. I would definitely recommend giving The Center a look for you event hall needs.
Planning an Ohio wedding while living in Texas can be challenging, but Paula and Katie made it so easy for us! They provided top-notch service. They were so easy to work with and were always quick to answer our countless list of questions. Planning from out-of-state limited our flexibility for visits to The Center, but Katie and Paula always accommodated us without hesitation. If you want a blank slate, this is your venue! We were able to transform this venue of white walls and wood floors into exactly what we wanted! It was a perfect “one-stop shop” that allowed our guests to arrive and stay at one location for our ceremony and reception. We loved all the space available at The Center. The bridal suite was so convenient for getting dressed. The ladies’ restroom has a huge lounge area for doing hair and make up. The dome room was the perfect setting for our cocktail hour during the room flip and provided open space for kids when the main ballroom was too loud for them. Our guests were able to stay at hotels that were connected to The Center by indoor walkway, which meant they didn’t have to brave the cold, March rain. Also, our photos are AMAZING!! We were stuck inside due to the rain, but that didn’t matter. Our photographer captured beautiful photos that we’ll cherish forever.Word of advice: We offered champagne to our guests upon arrival. It was a nice touch that set the mood for the entire evening.
My Daughter and Son-n-Law had their wedding at The Center on Leap Day 2020. It was absolutely amazing and we could not have asked for a better wedding experience. The space for the ceremony and reception was so perfectly beautiful. It was like a dream come true. Katie, our wedding planner walked us through every detail from the very start and by the day of the wedding, I felt like she was part of our family. She truly cared about giving us The Very Best Wedding Experience!! we were so grateful that Kellie and Max chose this “Hidden Gem” as their venue for their Special Day!! ~ MOB
In choosing a venue for our wedding, Cathy did a ton of research on various websites. She came to a short list of venue options, and then we planned to visit various locations. We met with Paula at The Center. Almost immediately I was sold. Paula was so personal and yet professional, that if the venue had the right options, I knew we’d be in good hands! After meeting with Paula and reviewing options, we chose The Center in downtown Cincinnati, OH to be our wedding venue. What made this a success?First it was the professionalism of all of the staff at The Center. Paula and Katie worked seamlessly to cover every detail. They were not only genuinely excited for us, but also so flexible at every turn, to make sure all details were covered. The venue is a blank slate, and being we were also having the multi-platinum award winning band Blessid Union Of Souls playing at our reception, we had to do multiple floor lay-outs to accommodate all guests, food stations, bar, a DJ stage and the band stage. This meant I pestered Katie and Paula for many reviews both onsite and over email and on the phone. Never once did I feel like I was bothering them. They were so gracious and accommodating! The event was both a wedding and reception at The Center. They have multiple rooms to accommodate a larger event, and everything from floor layout to lighting was adjustable. This turned out to be a super great venue for our wedding and reception. If we had it to do all over again, we would choose The Center!
My son had his wedding here. Nice venue for the price. Very nice people to work with. Food was good, and everything was set up very nicely. A few negative things, was the parking was not close by. There are quite a few steps to get upto the place. There is an elevator, but it was hard finding someone to always unlock it, so people could use it. Once the ceremony is over, they make you stand out in another area, with very few chairs for the elderly folks to sit down at, until the ceremony room is reset for dinner tables. This took longer than what we expected, and had to finally force them to open the doors so people could go sit down. They ran out of some of the food, which was served as a buffet style. Overall, we did not end up liking the setup of the whole thing. Access to this place was not as easy as other venues, and we wished another place had been chosen.
I remember when this used to be a museum. But it is now a lovely event space. Based on my limited experience, the staff their are very friendly and happy to make things work whatever way you need. This space also has a great view of Fountain Square. This is particularly beautiful at night when it’s all lit up!I think this venue is a fantastic choice because there’s plenty of space for the catering. A large bar can fit in the front hall, there’s a decent sized kitchen (with additional space attached if needed).
First I would like to say, I have nothing bad to say about the staff. I always got a response when I emailed or called and everyone was very friendly and helpful.Secondly, I was disappointed by this venue. I started out really excited to have our wedding reception here but it ended up being a bust. The price was very affordable however there is nothing that comes with what you pay for. It got very expensive to decorate the way that I wanted to and I was not even that happy because I felt like I had under-decorated...this is my fault, nothing to do with the staff or the venue itself. Some people love that simple look but I think I was looking for something a little more.Third, the location I thought was fun and easy to get to. The month of the wedding there was construction in the hallway leading into the building. I had complaints from my guests that there was no type of signage that told the guests to go around and enter from an alternate way. Most of my guests were walking around aimlessly downtown for about an hour. They said that they saw people through the windows but they had no idea how to get up to that location, some people ended up giving up and not even coming to my wedding, so that was money lost right there. Plus, they were frustrated with me for choosing such an obscure hall to get to.
Words cannot describe how happy we were with The Center for our November 2017 wedding! I had never heard of The Center but stumbled upon it in a search and we knew the minute we saw it that it was the venue for us. The space is a complete blank canvas so you can make it into really whatever you want and all of the staff were absolutely wonderful to work with. We wanted to specifically mention Kayla and Shannon. Kayla was our go-to person throughout the entire planning process and was always available to answer questions or reassure me that everything was on track. I cant speak highly enough of her! Shannon was our day-of coordinator and did an awesome job! She made sure everything and everyone was in the right place at the right time and helped to ensure that the day went on without a hitch. So many of our guests told us how awesome the space was and we heard multiple times that it was the best venue people had been to for a wedding. It was such a perfect day and we cant thank The Center enough!
So Ill preface this by saying our wedding turned out beautiful and went off without a hitch. So if thats your baseline, you can do a lot worse than the Center. Heres the problem...To get there, it almost killed our wedding. I wish I was kidding. We actually had conversations at the 6 month mark and the 3 month mark of calling it off or moving the venue. The Center was THAT hard to work with. Imagine if you were trusting your wedding to Alliegiant. Like, youll get there (probably) but you may have to pay them to get off the plane. Youll pay less but youll soon learn WHY you paid less. Everything is a nickle, or a dime, which isnt a problem when its cents, but when its thousands of dollars, it adds up.Their contract was written by lawyers trained in the art of used car sales. Its perfectly vague so when you argue, they can point to this vague piece of paper and say nope, sorry. Want wine different than what they offer (because you mean you dont want to serve your guests jug wine?)? You can do that, but you have to pay them for the jug wine, then pay them for wine on top of that, then pay them a fee to bring in that other wine. That actually happened. We paid them over a grand for wine they will get to serve again and make another profit off of, all because it says so in their contract.Worst story I can tell. The Wednesday before our wedding their famous bar wasnt set up (check the pictures, its cool). Im there setting stuff up and I ask them hey, when is the bar getting set up. Their point person Katie (who is nice but has been handcuffed by an awful organization) says we didnt book that bar. In fact, we havent booked any bar and theyre wondering how were going to serve alcohol. Turns out, even though wed been talking about this bar from day one, we didnt go out of our way to make clear we wanted a bar so they werent going to give it to us. Our wedding planner had to threaten to steer her future clients elsewhere before they would allow us to serve alcohol from some where other than the floor. This actually happened.Youll save money, youll have a beautiful, unique wedding, but you may break up or call it off before hand. Dont use them unless you are willing to scratch and claw for every inch. And lots of tears.
As I began my search for reception venues in downtown Cincinnati, a co-worker suggested I check out the Center. I had never heard of the space but I am SO GLAD I visited! The Center, in my opinion, is one of the only large, indoor reception venues downtown that allow for freedom to actually design and execute your wedding the way YOU want it. It seemed like all of the hotels had something I just didn’t like (ugly carpet, weird paintings, etc.). The Center is a blank canvas, and a beautiful one at that! The ladies there are fantastic to work with and incredibly helpful. I am so happy we chose this venue.
Wasnever there
The Center is amazing, and the staff made wedding planning a breeze. The staff was quick to respond, very accommodating and extremely helpful the week of the wedding. Katie was fantastic to work with!! I’m so glad Katie was there the night of our wedding. The venue gives you an opportunity to be creative and truly have a unique wedding.
As a guest & vendor, its a great venue. Parking is always a task. I was asked to move my vehicle for the garbage truck to come on a Saturday night, primetime! Between 6pm to 11pm! It was raining, and I just had my suit on! Well, come to find out, the TRUCK NEVER CAME! Employees that work there are cool. The person who told me to move, is not at fault, but that ruined my mood.
The PERFECT venue for our NYE wedding! A blank slate that allowed me to create the simple yet elegant setting I envisioned. The Center staff worked so well with all of our vendors, ensuring our event flowed effortlessly. Our guests were so impressed!
We loved everything about our wedding ceremony and reception at The Center! The space was amazing and the location gave us the city feel we were searching for! Our guest truly enjoyed the space as well. I would highly recommend The Center to other couples looking for a modern space to truly make your own!
I have found that most event centers and reception facilities in the Greater Cincinnati area look and feel the same. This translates to your very special event looking and feeling just like everyone elses very special event. And lets be honest, there is usually bad carpet involved. I have also found that some of the unique venues in the area, and there are several to choose from, usually have space limitations and cannot accommodate larger groups. This creates a dilemma. And then, there is The Center. It is quite simply, a breath of fresh air to Downtown Cincinnati and the Greater Cincinnati area. I loved this space when it was the home to the Contemporary Arts Center years ago, and have often wondered what would become of it. When I found out that it was going to be renovated and transformed into an event center, I couldnt contain my excitement. At the first opportunity, I booked the space for a corporate event for 500+ people. I found the contemporary space to be stunning as is, and yet it is also the perfect blank slate to transform the space into anything that you can imagine. I have used this space for several corporate events, and every event is unique. With Fountain Square as the backdrop through one of the main rooms large picture windows, it gives guests a beautiful view of Downtown Cincinnati. I honestly cant imagine hosting an event elsewhere else.
First off Kayla who I worked with the entire time she was amazing through my entire experience! She made me feel so at ease and I cant thank her enough! Everyone that I have came in contact with at the venue has been wonderful to work with. The space is absolutely gorgeous! However, there is a lot of work to do on the back end of things. Like for example including pipe and drape a part of the total cost or even sercurity guards also including linens. Also a more better understanding of 5 hours on the front end and 5 hours on the back end.
The floors there are magnificent. The walls and doorways are flawless. The dome makes for a fun experience with sound. Beautiful views of Fifth Street and Government Square.
Beautiful venue! Staff was on point and the food was excellent!
Its a good place to have a wedding
Been here a few times, most recently for a wedding. It was beautiful. The view was great, dance floor was a good size. Bar tenders were great.
Gorgeous wedding venue, very versatile. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great views of downtown!
Great location with incredible views of Fountain Square out the large windows. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Highly recommend this wedding venue in downtown Cincinnati! A lovely space and a wonderful team.
I attended a holiday party here. Beautiful venue, wonderful staff! Loved the view of fountain square!
I love The Center! This is a beautiful space with a great location. Perfect for any event!
I had never known this little wedding venue was here. It was a really nice place.
The Center is an awesome venue if you are getting married soon! Had a wonderful experience at a recent wedding.
Nice place for a wedding. Event planner did a very good job.
The staff was very nice. Polite too
Very plain and wide open. Not much color, character or ambiance.
The Center is a beautiful space for any event! Everyone on the staff strives to make all of their clients happy and are very accommodating.
Beautiful venue with a great view of the city, the staff is amazing and so accommodating to your needs. Defiantly recommend!
Venue is a great blank space that allows you to create your own vision! Staff is extremely prompt to respond and very helpful!
Attached to the Westin downtown. It was a nice facility for a wedding.
Nice, trendy spot downtown for an event. However, it was plain and unremarkable, except for the location.
Nice venue for a wedding!
Perfect place to throw a party
Venue was very nice.
Fantastic venue for your wedding.
Do not do any business there. The security guards are racist towards black people.
Nice venue, went there for Petcasso
Can you plan other partys rather than weddings like a Quinceañera?
Staff and venue are awesome!
Gorgeous atmosphere and location
Well done!
The food wasnt good at all.
Great, classic, modern venue.
