The staff at both the auto repair shop and at the express oil change location are so helpful, get you in as soon as they can, give you the most honest opinion, and great pricing. I have had them do my repairs several times in the past but over the last two weeks I have been having some minor troubles that I can’t fix myself. Today I was unlucky again because I needed to get my brake light fixed and they did it for free no problem. I went across the street to get my oil changed at their location and the guys there topped of my fluids and told me my oil was still good from the last time for some more distance. I guess they could tell I was having a tough day. I highly recommend Donovan’s for all your car needs! I appreciate their honesty and loyalty to their customers. Such a great business!

How lucky I am to have this shop a mile from my house. They have worked on at least six cars for me over at least the last seven years, fixing all kinds of problems and all the five star reviews are true. Friendly, professional, efficient, experienced and trustworthy. Often one of the service writers has a pretty good idea of the problem with my car and the approximate cost to fix it before their skilled mechanics even look at it. They will never up sell, just give sensible recommendations. I will never use anyone else and Donovans must stay in business for ever, or at least until I stop driving!

Very pleased with the service I have received on our 2 Hondas (2010 fit 2019 passport). Staff are friendly and straightforward. New to Cincinnati and am happy to have found a good shop. My dog also approves, and shes pretty smart... so its got to be good.

I wanted to like this place. The employees are friendly and its a local shop. However I had to take my car there 3 separate times for something they fixed.I took my car there and it took me two and a half days to receive my car back. Once I received my car, I noticed a new sound that wasnt there before and I just had new tires put on where the sound was coming from.I called them and they looked at my car an additional day before saying they fixed the issue.The issue was still there when I got my car back so I took it to them again. They looked at it and told me now I needed new brake drums after just having new ones put on recently (2-3 years) and them saying they already solved the issue.Its just odd a new issue appeared after they worked on the area, then they fixed it, and now they say I need to pay for a new part.Ill continue my search for a local, trustworthy shop.Unrelated to cars, I did experience employees not wearing masks in the front reception area, with customers there as well, two of the three times I was there.

It was my first time there and they were fantastic! Everyone I spoke to, either on the phone or in person, was friendly. I can see why many other reviewers commend them for their honesty as they were transparent on what they could do to solve my issue. One other thing of note was that while I was there waiting for my vehicle to be finished and pulled around several customers called and/or came in. Almost all of them were recognized and greeted followed by friendly conversation. I would recommend them and planning on bringing my vehicle back in the future.

Used Donovans for the first time to install a after market coil over suspension kit (front & rear), rear wheel hub bearing assembly, coil packs and new spark plugs on our 2015 ford mustang. Dane and his team did a fantastic job on the car all the way around. The suspension and adjustments that were made, made the car feel and drive better than ever. The car looks so much better being that it was lowered an inch all the way around to close the tire to fender gap. Felt as if Dane and his team treated every aspect of the experience as if we were family so we were stress free the entire process. Donovans has gained my trust and business all in one visit. These guys are the best around. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of car upgrades or repairs.

Quick, polite and a good price.

I brought my car for a diagnostic and the staff explained in detail what the problem was. They explained what was needed to fix the issue and what was optional but recommended. They completed the work pretty quickly and my car has been running well. The after hours drop off was very convenient. Id definitely go back if I have other car issues.

Best car shop in town

Three stars because I was never able to actually use their service, but they replied right away. I needed to have two parts installed (brand new OEM in the box) but was informed they dont install other peoples parts Strange because a previous review I read hear says they installed aftermarket coilovers on the reviewers vehicle. Oh well, guess business is so good you can pick and choose the work you want to do and I can respect that.

Do not have your vehicle serviced here. I took my car in because it stalled on occasion when at a stop. $864.00 later and them having my car for 3 days, my car is worst then it ever was and they could never give me an answer what was wrong with it, but gave me several theories and charging me that amount of money and trying to fix other things to stack the bill...beware!

Very fast service and they provide complete details on what repairs needs to get done. Yes, they do up-sell a lot of products and services but it is up to you if you want to get that or not, theres no sales pressure. Im taking 2 stars off only because of high prices and lack of student (or any other) discount and promotions.

We have been going to Donovans for years with all of our cars which we tend to drive until they drop. Donovans stands by their work and are 100% trust worthy. One thing I like that they do is tell you the various items that your automobile needs or will need shortly and then they help you prioritize what has to be done and which items you should keep an eye on but dont need to be done immediately. Took all three of my cars here since I was a teenager. The best service from everyone I met. As a woman who knows very little about cars, I think it can be hard to find a mechanic that you trust isnt just ripping you off & this place was amazing. They told me honestly if I could wait on a repair to come up with the funds and were reasonable with their prices. They are truly here to help you! Highly recommended even when I moved to another part of city...I would make the drive to have them work on my cars. I miss you guys...come out to Northern California - trying to find an equivalent place out here! :)

I have taken all my cars to Donovans over the past 18 years, and consistently been impressed with the level of professionalism, friendliness, and honesty the staff there have shown. My most recent experience involved my 96 Toyota Camry, which was stalling and loud. They assessed the situation and within 1 1/2 hours gave me a full run- down on what was wrong with the car, what would be involved in fixing it, and an estimate. They kept me advised several times during the day, and when I picked it up, all the men at the front desk, as well as the mechanic who worked on the car, answered my questions about the value of keeping the car / selling it etc. The personal attention the staff at Donovans provide the customer just cant be beat!! I have been going to Donovans longer than I have been with the same doctor (what does that tell you!). They are rather expensive, however, they are not going to jive you and try to sell you more services than needed. As others have stated, they are clean, friendly and make you comfortable if you have to wait. There is more I can say but the point is they are great!

Very friendly and honest. A total of about $1100 worth of repair quoted - which was not unexpected to me. The mechanic explained everything as well as what items were urgent and what items I could complete over time. Turn around time was quick and all staff was very professional. Will likely now be my life-time mechanic.

Been a customer since the early 1970s which means I am now on the 3rd generation of the family plus Andy. Their best asset is their ability to diagnose the problem correctly the first time. While not the cheapest place to go it can be the most cost efficient without the guessing games of what is wrong. The less experienced shops sometimes end up doing additional repairs at a higher cost resulting from the problem not being properly diagnosed originally. Always up front with estimated costs.

I have spent way more money here than I would ever want to. But, thats not Donovans fault. Donovans has been great, trustworthy, and reliable. Ive replaced tires, brakes, some expensive component of my cars AC, etc, and have no complaints. Their prices are reasonable and whoever I talk with always explains the work in detail when he calls with the estimate and is happy to answer any questions, even those What do I really need to do right now? questions. Knowing something about the mechanics of your automobile seems like a right of passage of manhood, but many of us have spent very little time under the hood. I dont feel belittled or taken advantage of by the folks here. This is the first auto mechanic where I would send my wife on her own.This year I had two tires blowout that had both been replaced less than a year earlier by Donovans. They were still under warranty. One blew out when I was 800 miles away. I replaced it with a comparable tire and Donovans reimbursed me when I returned from my trip. The other blew out in Cincy, and Donovans replaced it no questions asked.It seems like every October, Donovans provides free labor (and pads maybe) on your cars brakes. Its done in honor of breast cancer awareness. Im not sure what the connection is between brakes and breast cancer (stop breast cancer??), but Ive replaced the brake pads in different cars in different years, both times happened to be in October, and both times they were having this special event. I never like spending money on my car. Its great when your mechanic has a major sale on something you actually need.
