Roni the property manager and her assistant are amazing. Thanks for everything!! π
I helped move my best friend in here last month. He has had nothing but good things to say. They cover some of your utilities and the neighbors are nice and quiet. Plenty of parking even for guests but not any assigned parking spaces in their lot.
Horrible, some guy was out on his deck screaming tonight. him and his girlfriends dog were so loud u couldnβt sleep. horrible grubby people
First of all Lived there for 2 years with no complaints! Great place for a small family. I recently accidentally mailed a package to my apartment which I no longer live in I called west hills and the lady was very nice she Walked over to my old apartment got my package safely and brought it to the office until I was able to get it. VERY KIND
I have lived here for a few months now and I can honestly say this apartment complex takes care of its residents. Had issues with the AC living on the top floor already this year, maintenance came out the same day to fix it. They even contacted me to check to make sure it was working correctly. It is quiet and safe, I highly recommend complex to call your home.
My apartment is wonderful. Staff are friendly and respond to all of my emails in a timely manner. Maintenance is on top of things. Have had a wonderful experience so far!
Worst place ever, most of the neighbors are not friendly at all. Itβs literally impossible to get a hold of the front office for anything. After we moved out they charged us for carpet that they said was brand new, but definitely was not. Overall they will try and screw you in anyway they can when it comes time to leave. I had a whole discussion about what was going to be owed when I left, and it ended up being twice as much βnew carpetβ. OK.......strongly suggest to move somewhere else. Oh, and there maintenance are pretty my spies for the supervision up there. I wouldnβt be surprised if they go through your belonging when youβre not home.
In my two years here I have had mice, gnats, and crickets in my third floor apartment....there are cracks in my walls that they clearly tried to paint over and hide.I pay too much in rent for this place. I cannot wait to get out of here.
Itβs a nice place but they will nickle and dime you for every cent they can get. Iβve never lived anywhere so expensive, so greedy, with so many fees. The office is also weirdly hard to get in contact with. I get sent to voicemail every single time and have to wait on a call back on their own time even if I call during posted office hours.
I have had a window leak since January and they are trying their hardest to not replace it. Very frustrating. The community was quiet until we got new neighbors who are very very noisy. Update: It took a whole year for them to replace it.
Moved here from out of state, at first the management seemed very kind and diligent. Now they are very shady. I work nights at a very messy job that has mandatory overtime so I dont get home until 1:30-5 in the morning. They knew this when they put us in our unit, however they failed to mention that our building is the only one, in which you are not allowed to do laundry after a certain time due to the tenant who lives next to the room.We were told they had a dog park, but its more like a swamp. There is water everywhere all the time. It smells like a sewer and they never mow, so if you want to use it you must give your dog a bath afterwards, all the time.Maintenance was quick to help when our drain was clogged but after that nothing. The bathroom is very cheaply put together and since the toilet paper holder fell off they have not been by to fix it, we put an order in months ago. They are strict on some residents while they let others do what ever they want. We have two bigger dogs and the lady next to the laundry room has a smaller dog. She never puts her on a leash but always acts over the top when we walk outside with our dogs on a leash, because her dog likes to run up on people. Her child is always next to our window pestering our dogs because she is bored. The landscaping is inconsistent, they are constantly planting new flowers yet wait until the grass is 6 inches high before mowing it. The dog stations are always empty on bags and overflowing with poop. When they redid the mulch they failed to let anyone know, and our windows were open so being on the ground floor mulch debree got all over our couch.Lastly we have never formally complained because we are not those kind of people until now. They left a letter at our door stating they arent renewing our lease and to be moved out by August. We have not heard or talked to them since we moved in and we are always on time with rent. This company is very poorly run and it would be wise to search elsewhere. We were not going to renew as is due to inconsistency but we did not appreciate a letter being put in our door without cause. Good luck if you decide to go with them.
Great place to live
My son moved into his apartment 2 months ago. In 2 months time, his living room had a water leak, his HVAC flooded 3 times, and now his bathroom flooded with nasty dirty sewage water from the bathroom, up the hallway to the dining room because someone in the complex threw washcloths in the toilet. Mainetenance cleaned the bathroom. They called a carpet cleaning service to get the water up. My son asked to get out of the lease due to all the issues and the bathroom flooding now and they told him no he had to give a 60 day notice and they had no other aparyment to put him in. They are more worried about the lease than the tenants health.
Decent apartments, Over priced if you ask me. Management of the property is sub par.
Nice apartment! Just right for my wife and I!
This is a great place to live! Everyone in the office is so friendly and helpful, the maintenance crew is outstanding. Work orders are addressed immediately, the landscaping is stunning. If you are in search of a great place to live, I definately recommend West Hills! Did I mention they are pet friendly...thats the best part!
I have enjoyed calling this place my home! Roni and the entire staff are friendly, easy to talk to, and make time to chat with you. I love this friendly, safe community. Defenitely recommend this place.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! THEY ARE SHADY AND CROOKS... IF YOU SEE A GOOD REVIEW ABOUT THIS PLACE.... YOU CAN BE ASSURED THAT SOMEONE WAS GIVEN AN INCENTIVE TO WRITE IT
By far the worst place Iβve ever lived. Never rent from here.
2.5 StarsI lived in a two bedroom apartment with my boyfriend and our roommate for a year. There were good things and bad things about living at West Hills. I started off on shaky ground with the management from the get go. We toured the renovated model apartment and I was assured that our apartment would look just like the model. That was a lie. Our apartment was renovated but it wasnt as nice as the model (different appliances that were also white and not black, different floors in kitchen, different countertops and cabinets). We had an upgraded white dishwasher only after I made multiple phone calls to the office. The carpets were very nice, I loved them. The accent walls in the apartment were a nice touch as well. Something that surprised me was that the water pressure was always good and I never, ever ran out of hot water in the shower. There was an issue of dog waste across the yards but eventually people started cleaning up after their dogs. Having the bark park was very convenient for us since we didnt have to drive to a dog park if we didnt want to. My only complaint there is that the park needs to be leveled. The middle of the park dips real low where water will collect and create a lot of mud.The building across the lot from us had a lot of noisy teenagers ...yelling, peeling out their cars, etc. but our building was pretty quiet for the most part. Occasional dog barking and loud kids but nothing you wouldnt expect at a bottom floor apartment.Having all of the utilities that West Hills covers paid for every month was really helpful but I think they ask far too much in rent for their apartments. Ours wasnt aweful but definitely not worth what we were paying.I really enjoyed going to the pool. It was always pretty clean and had a decent amount of privacy. Maintenance was generally pretty good about getting to the apartment whenever we had an issue with something but there were a few times that I needed to call and remind them that we were waiting for our A/C to be fixed when it was 80+ degrees in the apartment.I think West Hills is okay for a first apartment or maybe somewhere that you dont intend to stay long, just until you can find something nicer ...but I wouldnt live here again and I dont think I would recommend it to too many people. Its just not worth the asking price.
My lease recently expired at West Hills Apartments on April 14th and though I enjoyed living there very much. I was offered an opportunity I could not pass up which meant I had to move. West Hills is a great place to live, the staff is also amazing. I was and still am 100% impressed with them. I have already received my letter explaing my deposit refund information 5 days after vacating, in which I will receive my FULL deposit back! Yes of course I left the place clean and in tact, but typically places penny pinch and will find any reason at all to not refund the deposit in full or at all and to make note of the little things I over payed them 62 cent on my prorated rent for the month of April that they included in my deposit return. I would not only recommend West Hills to friends and family, but if ever I had to return.... I indeed would. Thank you Ronnie the office manager who has always been friendly and professional since my first encounter with her, West Hills Apts, and West Hills staff for an amazing year! My son and myself enjoyed our time at West hills and we will miss our home there.
The speed bumps in this neighborhood are ridiculously huge. Even going 1 mile an hour my Prius C scrapes. This is creating a hazard to the cars of people who live here or visit.
There is a lot of pros and cons to these apartments but its a pretty good short term home for now. we have been here for a year now and we are about to start our second year here in a couple days where we will be transferring to two bedroom. The one bedroom apartment is nice, the one thing that shocked us the most was when we were shown the model we were told we would have a dining room and the day we moved in we were mad to see no dining room. The place was well cleaned and the neighbors are nice and quiet. There is always hot water but the tile in the bathroom shower popped out within the first month of being here, and the toilet and sinks clogs very easily. Maintaince comes pretty quickly when called but it took them a couple tries to get it right but honestly they still then didnt fix the problem we just gave up and put a bowl under the leaking sink. The landscaping was very nice in the beginning of the spring and summer but after that they dont mess with it at all for the rest of the year besides the grass once a month. The bushes were never kept up with and would over flow onto the stairs and the trees werent trimmed and would have to duck around them to walk past. Also the maintaince works on other complexs very early and loudly in the morning on the weekends which not only is very aggravating but the one day they painted on a Saturday morning and the fumes spread throughout the entire building and we literally had to leave for the day.Overall we enjoyed our time here so far. The staff is friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. But the only thing with the transfer to our new building is they switched the move in day on us at the last minute and we will now have no electric for a couple days bc they dont switch orders at Duke. We also took off work for the day and now we have to try to switch our off days at the last minute. Hopefully they are able to fix some of the small issues they have here and it would make it a perfect apartment home for people besides it being WAY over priced!
No no no no. Everyone is my building is WHITE TRASH. Children screaming in the hallways, cussing, stomping around, the one boy drop kicks the door open every single time. reported to office about noise and nothing was said or done. I dont feel safe here, last night a guy had his tires stolen OFF OF HIS PARKED CAR... we dont lock our cars so that way at least our windows arent broken... Everything is falling apart in the apartment itself.. handles, windows are horrible, dishwasher never works, the doors stick and are crooked from the hinges. Not to mention the dust! My neighbor has lived here 10+ years and they have never cleaned the vents since hes been here... gross. We are thinking about paying the money to get out of our lease and move to Pinnacle or Cedar Hill.
I moved into these apartments from out of state. I lived there from Feb 2014-Nov 2014 The office people were very nice at first. Then once my boyfriend moved in with me the office people became back stabbers, liars, and watched every move we made. We felt like prisoners of war being watched like we were enemies. It was noisy! Door slamming, kids hollering, dogs barking, people yelling all hours of the night. Drug users/dealers. People did not clean up after their dogs. Every time we turned around we were stepping in somebody elses dog poop. The dog poop recepticals were always full and running over with no bags available. The laundry room was constantly filthy! Then, I was told that I could no longer fly my American flag! That was THE last straw! You do not tell 2 disabled veterans with 28-30 yrs of active duty service that they can not fly their American Flag. BULL CRAP! We tried to get out of there with a letter from my boyfriends doctor because he nearly fell down the steps on several ocassions and when the office showed no mercy, we broke our lease. We tried to leave with no hard feelings but ended up having to call the cops. The office manager knew she was lying to me on our last day there. She could not look me in the face cause she knew she was screwing us BIG TIME It was the WORST experience I have EVER had in my life with an apartment manager and her staff. They had NO people skills in the office. Their landscape was always muddy and it was difficult not to track in mud. I am so glad we are out of their and where we live now we are much happier; we can have bird feeders, people clean up after their dogs, its very quiet here. Even the kids are quiet. We live within walking distance of Jungle Jims and Eastgate Mall. West Hills was the worst place in the world to live. I would not wish that place on my worstest enemy. Do NOT trust those office employees or the maintenance guys. You will without a doubt get SCREWED. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THOSE APARTMENTS. IT IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE IF YOU HAVE KIDS AND PETS.
*DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!*Where to start? How about the convicted drug dealers ...dealing out of the apartment buildings? So much for the background check. Dealer/in and out of the building all night....doors banging, etc.People walking with dogs off leash. Reported to office staff and nothing done. Result is dog fight.Bugs/pest. Cockroaches, 1000 leggers, racoons and squirells in roof.Flooding....Apartment on bottom floor subject to major flooding from poor drainage outside. Can still smell mold in the bottom floor hallway. Its flooded and apartment twice since I had lived there. I warned the new resident about these things when they moved in. Curious as to what happens after a major rain storm but luckily my lease ended and I am out of there like a bat out of hell.Mold in the fridge and dishwasher when I move in. Reported and the dishwasher was not cleaned until over a month later!!!Lots of theft....Had car broken into with items stolen.Loud noisy neighbors. Be prepared to be up or woken up into wee hours of the morning because of loud noisy neighbors. Complaints filed but nothing done. Its as if office staff would like for you to confront the neighbors yourself and we all know how horrible that could go.Maintenance staff is a joke. Be prepared to have your drains clog every 3-4 weeks and the maintenance staff just take your plunger and unclog the sink. Not talking sasquatch hair here people. Just normal hair that facilities staff failed again and again to unclog and it just accumulated again.DO NOT use their electronic withdraw!!! I was skeptical and my account was overdrawn as I figured it would be. Also, there is a lady in the office that should not be around computers. When setting up the auto withdraw she could not even figure it out....I figured it out after looking at it for 30 seconds. This is the intelligence that you have to face when pointing things that are wrong and have not been handled properly. Get mad instead of apologizing and fixing the problem. Finally the office staff here is absolutely horrible to deal with. Be prepared to be lied to time and time again directly to your face. If you dare point the office staff out on their mistake...be prepared to be on their garbage list and have nothing done. The power ego trip of the property manager is laughable and unjustifiable but you will experience it if you point out any mistake. Cash is legal tender and cannot be refused so dont auto withdraw. The sister property Arrowhead in loveland is the complete opposite. Their property manager is great and West Hills needs to learn lessons from these professionals. Ive seen Arrowheads property manager out in the pouring rain helping maintenace with broken water mains! I saw West hills plant a couple plants. If West hills is the sister property of Arrowhead it is the beaten stepchild. STAY FAR AWAY!!!
I typically do not complain. Dont move here. As stated prior, management is poor and sketchy. Just pick somewhere else.-only reason they received one star is because choosing none is not an option unfortunately.
