I have lived here for a year and there’s nothing positive to say for the apartments themselves. There are roaches, centipedes, and other bugs constantly. I live on the third floor and still have bug issues. My apartment has flooded twice and after a maintenance man cut a hole in my bathroom ceiling to fix it I was told that since my lease was up in 7 weeks that there was no need to fix it. Since then it has flooded again but now with a handy hole to help guide it.Not to mention the annoyance involving the dumpsters, having to use a card they sell you to use laundry, and the apathy coming from office staff.DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

I have been living here since 7/26/21! since I moved in I have had 3 floods in my Apt ! flooding of the patio drain, toilet and garbage disposal. My A/C in Master Bdrm was not working, roaches, pill bugs and house centipedes every where. The carpet in the common areas is older than me!! and smells of mildew and mold in the hallway. They dont care about the residents due to the fact that they are non-responsive, do not follow through and have a staff of 2 maintenance men for over 400 Units! DO NOT MOVE here ! it is definitely not worth $1000 for rent they are charging for a 2 bedroom! P.S> You also have to transport your own garbage in your personal car to the dumpsters in the front of the complex

This apartment is trash from the leasing office supervisor who is extremely rude and thinks that you have to stay because you are under lease to the maintenance guys who thinks they are doing you a favor if they ever show up for a maintenance request instead of doing their job. There are a ton of problems with these units. Thankfully, there are some good people living at this complex. Unfortunately, a lot of them are being taken advantage of. I had a year long lease, and they attempted to raise the rent the moment the lease was up by about $40/month or $480 per year. Ive heard worse from other people in the complex as well. There was a young mother living in a basement unit, which smelled like an old musty motel with a leaky moldy laundry room on the same floor. She had her rent raised up by a considerable amount, and there was no way she would be able to go month to month with the exorbitant rates they were demanding, unless you signed a full-year lease.Furthermore, the roaches and pests are a massive problem at this complex. I can say with certainty that the building I was in, and potentially others, were infested with roaches. Every time I saw one it was photographed and reported, and they did sent a pest control specialist. However, we didnt go more than a month before they would begin creeping back in from the crevices of the building. When I spoke to management they told me, we cant control how clean others are with a fake smile plastered on. That kind of interaction sums up this location. They say theyll fix the problem, then charge you for it and never solve the problem. It was $10 per treatment for the roaches. We also had bedbugs creep in at one point. Due to a clause that they will require you to sign, management will select the pest control that will be used for treatment. As such you will not have control of the price for bedbug treatment, and they will not pay for it, you will be required to. It costed me $350+. They said it would be billed in installments, but they never applied it to the coming months rent, and instead took it out of the security deposit, then charged us for damages. There was never any call regarding the finances and security deposit after the lease officially ended. Instead, they send a large sum to collections. On another note, the buildings are incredibly run down, and they are very overpriced. The unit I was in had many large cracks in the walls, everything was painted over (including outlets), the kitchen was laughably small, the vinyl flooring was torn upon move in, and the screen doors were filthy upon move-in. Right before move-in, we were contacted by maintenance about a leak from our unit, into the unit below us. They shut off our bathroom sink for four or five days before two new maintenance members came in to tear up the drywall, remove the toilet and place it in the bathtub/shower (leaving feces all over the place), and then placed the toilet back when they were done fixing the leaky pipe. They didnt repair the dry wall at all.Keep in mind that there are a lot of units with a lot of people, so I understand maintenance is slow for a reason. The maintenance men and pest control woman that I came into contact with were all professional and friendly. However, managements actions clearly show that the problem comes from the people running the show. Dont rent from these people, they will smile to you and sell you on an infested unit to pocket your money. They will screw you out of your deposit. To close out this review, if you take a look at the lease and think, well at least its a no smoking property, based on the rules outlined in the lease, and the specific addendum they attach specifically for smoking, then youre going to be sadly mistaken. You will smell cigarette smoke on your balcony, if you have one. Just trust me on this one, DONT LIVE HERE. You can find much better options, literally anywhere else.

I have lived here for a year and when I got my renewal information, I immediately accepted! Ive lived in many cities during my life, Chicago, Charlotte, North Carolina, Detroit, etc. When I decided to accept a job teaching with Cincinnati Public Schools (the BEST district ever) I knew I wanted to live in the city but without the hassle. Lakeshore has given me that and more. My apartment is cool, parking is a breeze, and the ladies and gentleman in the office have been very nice, kind, and respectful with me being the same in return. My cat loves it here too. He loves to watch the birds on the balcony. However, we have had to have the discussion that birds are our friends and we dont eat our friends, lol! This city girl now knows about goose babies, duck babies, and even the svelte grey pelican who graces our presence now and then. I love it here and would recommend it to anyone. :)

I signed on to a 12-month lease here back in February of 17. Before signing my lease, I was adamant about making sure there were no pest problems, and was told that the apartment had been sprayed that same day. I made the mistake of signing right before the office closed... Upon walking into the apartment for the first time, there were two roaches on the baseboard in the living room and one in the kitchen. The next day, I called in from work to try to see if it was possible to maybe move to another unit, I was told the person who helped me was no longer employed at the complex and to move would pose a higher rate of rent.Over the next 6 months they would send Orkin in weekly to spray the place down (while I was at work, Ill add) however, the problem never wavered. In June, I found a colony of them under my refrigerator so I called the health department, who investigated and while Orkin was supposed to show up weekly, they hadnt been to my unit in over a month. It took 2 months of escrowed rent before they would send Orkin in again. And then when I moved out, in retaliation, they claimed I damaged the property and that not only was I not getting my security deposit back, I OWED them $600+ for repairsDo not sign and entrapment contract with this place. They dont care about you, they just want your money.Edit/reply: there is nothing to discuss other than the fact that your $638.91 is still on my credit report two years later, regardless of the fact that its paid.***MORGAN COMMUNITIES WILL RUIN YOUR CREDIT***

I thoroughly enjoyed living here in the year 2015. The maintenance crew was on top of any repairs that were needed to the apartment. The view of the lake was great from the studio apartments. Everyone was friendly who lived here and I made some friends. The dance studio space in the office is great for practicing or even doing yoga. The work out room and both the indoor and outdoor pools are well maintained. I would highly recommend this place. I lived here for a year and everything was great. Really nice environment. What is great in the spring is that all of the geese who live on the lake have many babies and the whole place is filled with wild life. The geese are really friendly. Loved going down and feeding them.

I lived here unfortunately. I couldn’t even make it to a full year. I had to pay up my lease and get out of this place. I wish I could give this place no stars. The people in the office are ridiculous. They never answer the phone. They never return voice messages. If you are able to make a trip down to the office after you’ve called 15 times with no luck, once you get there they act like you’re not important. Honestly they’re more worried about leasing out empty apartments than keeping current tenants at least content (because I don’t think happiness could ever be a thing here). The apartments are disgusting. When we first moved in, there was mold under our bathroom sink. All the maintenance man did to fix it was scrap the molded paint off and paint over it (I gave up on arguing with them over this situation). There were bugs in my apartment ALL the time. In the winter, I froze my butt off. Literally was shivering. And after calling the front office and maintenance to get the heat turned up (because they control it), they said it was on “full blast” and “the buildings weren’t equipped and built for the winter.” The laundry room was never fully working. There are 3 washers/3 dryers per building. If you can catch an empty one, it probably wasn’t spinning or drying right. They tried to charge me my last month $200 more than what I normally pay. They said they didn’t know why my bill was that high and I told them I wasn’t paying it. Once there was a gas leak and the only way they notified the residents was with a paper on the door (that we only saw because we made a 2am trip to get food). Safe right? This place needs to be knocked down and they need to start all over with new buildings that aren’t old and a completely different staff

When you call the office it’s rare they answer. They don’t have any regard for the individuals residing in this community. I’ve lived here for about 2 months and haven’t been enjoying it. The leasing office seems to closed at random times of the day periodically. The buildings are not well maintained either. I was showed a completely different, updated apartment when looking then was put into a totally different, outdated apartment and was told there’s nothing that can be done. The only place to load the laundry card is in the leasing office, which is very inconvenient bc it can only be loaded during business hours. Everything in my apartment is old, despite falsely advertising every apartment to be updated. They don’t replace appliances either. The management team while seemingly nice, also seems to be unknowledgeable about the features of the apartments. It’s over priced because it’s in a terrible location, and while has a decent gym, not much else accounts for the price. There is no central AC and they control the heat, which is often times way too high. If you like subpar, over priced apartments with a half way decent maintenance and management team and being awaken 15 times a night due to the squeaking geese and train then Lakeshore Drive is the perfect place for you. Even my movers advised against moving here. This unfortunately is a regrettable decision I am forced to live with for the next 10 months, but please don’t move here.

You can’t just not follow it. I’m not sure how this place is still in business. They’re liars who are ignorant to the law in their obligations as landlords, and they only care about getting your money. Even if your rights are violated in the process. Just like some others I wish that I had researched this property a little more before signing a lease and moving in. We had several issues with the management not caring and endangering our well being. We came home one day to find our apartment was full of toxic fumes from where they were resurfacing a tub below us. My husband and I were both sick and I was in fear of what it could do to my cats health. He has asthma and he was coughing and coughing when we got home from work. The office didnt notify us so we could vacate during their process. I tried to talked to them, but Debbie acting like it was no big deal. We packed our things and our cat up and left the building. I used to work around the types of chemicals that it takes to resurface a tub and they are very deadly. Anyone can research these products. I even wrote the main office about the issue and never heard back from them either. We had another issue that we reported several times that they took their time dealing with. Someone moved in and broke a lighting fixture globe that resulted in broken glass all over a landing on the lower floor. It took FOUR business days for them to clean it up. I am going to report them to OSHA about the hazardous fumes they are not ventilating properly . I even sent them information about the products, chemicals, and how that after you actually smell the fumes you are already exposed and they didnt care because they were doing another apartment tub a few days later and said that if it was dangerous the contractor would not be able to due it. This is so wrong when is something going to be done about this ran down, uncaring, and overpriced property.

I thought to myself maybe if I pay more to live in the New upgraded apartment it wont be as bad as the previous reviews but sadly it still was. Yes, there are stink bugs because of the wooded area in the back and also wasps near the entrance but other than that... nothing. Only bad this is getting the rent on time. When I came to view the apartment I was showed a remodeled unit and told it was the one I would be occupying. When move-in day came I was given keys to an old unit and told the unit I viewed was only for show. LOL, show it was because the unit I moved into was TRIFFLING! Less than 24 hours after being in the unit, I saw BIG ROACHES. I have never had roaches growing up or as an adult living on my own. The kitchen cabinets were broken and stained up, the bathroom has a nasty stench and the toilet is a loud flusher. The second bedroom which was for my 5 year old son is TINY, the air in the master bedroom doesnt work, the building is supposed to be secured but it doesnt even close all the way so what does that say to you?! The paint in the living room is two different colors and the closet doors were never on the hinges.I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. They try to sell you on the lake, indoor pool and fitness center but its not worth all the other trouble you will have. I contacted the leasing office about every single one of my complaints and they said theyd get around to it...and still havent. Not to mention theres ONE trash receptacle and you have to load money on a card to wash but can only do it during business hours which Im still not clear on because there has been a couple times Ive went to load money at 5:30pm when I got home from work and the office has been closed but the sign lists the hours til 6:00pm.PLEASE, RUN...A shelter would be a better option than this hell hole!

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I currently live here and its HORRIBLE. The upgraded apartments are over priced and not that nice. Theres trash everywhere, even in the lake. One lady in the building actually throws her cat litter outside her door. No one picks up after their dogs and the dog park is tiny, both gates broken. The neighbors are obnoxious and loud. No respect for quiet hours. The lock to the building is broken and when I spoke to someone in the office they said it wasnt their responsibility to fix it, so anyone can come into the building at anytime. They oversalt when it snows and it burns my dogs paws. So much for being pet friendly. The floor in my apartment creaks no matter where you step. The hallways alaways smell like smoke and there are stray cats running around. Dont move here, dont even consider it.

We called 3 months ago to get our tub re-caulked, its falling off and is disgusting. We wont be paying for any water damage it causes since you refuse to come fix it. We called a week ago to get our shower drain unclogged and to get our toilet seat fixed, neither of these have been fixed. Weve complained multiple times about the people above us and called the cops multiple times, you still refuse to do nothing. You want to raise the rent and make us pay for our own water? Then make these apartments and mantaince worth it.

Since Ive moved in, I havent had any issues up until now. The tenant who lives above me owns a dog who he lets urintae out on his balcony. In him doing so, has now ruined some of my patio furniture. When i approached the office staff about it, I was really hoping I wasnt going to one: have to keep asking for help and two: that the problem was going to get resolved. Well, I was wrong. Both times did I feel like they didnt believe me when I was telling them about the problem, and both times they acted like they didnt care. It disgusts me that they are totally okay with allowing someone to live in their apartments thats doing this. I later tried to call and I asked for the property managers name and number and the response was Im unable to give you that information, sorry. So, in other words, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live because if you have any issues whatsoever, they wont get addressed like they should. Such a disappointment that I spend such money here and receive such terrible service from the office staff.

Simply dont move here horrible management, under staffed maintenance, bugs of all sorts, mold and I mean not just a little in ac unit, then move out three months prior to lease end but paid lease in full, hand keys in during my last month there then 2 months later get a collections letter saying I owe them 700 dollars, called and a newer women whom was very kind pulled up my file said theres no record of me owing money but to call manager, call manager and magically something appeared in file, asked for copy of prior phone call recording for lawyer and then they say they cant talk to me about anything. Please dont let them sucker you in to moving here . Nothing but horror stories. Wish Id of taking this advice when givin it prior to moving here. What a dreadful year lease couldnt end soon enough.

The Lakeshore Apartments is a huge complex of over 400 units. This mere fact can provoke a very wide range of options, interactions, and experiences. Yes, there can be problems; co-operation on both sides helps alot here. However, I would like to point out some very positive aspects.First of all is location. The apartments are located mid-way between I-75 and I-71, and have the Ronald Reagan Highway as a cross-over just outside the entrance. Getting anywhere in Cincinnati is a breeze. This is an older complex, which was built the old-fashioned way with thick walls and floors. Sound is, for the most part, really muted between the apartments. And I do appreciate that.Of note, there really is a lake with fish, and the individual units are unexpectedly large in their floor plans.I have always had a prompt response to a work order or request for maintenance. This is abit incredible given a smaller staff that not only must maintain the leased units but refurbish/redecorate the ones that come free. Help for building emergencies must be available 24/7.I have lived here for years. Indeed, the turn-over in office staff has a long, checkered history. But - with the recent sale of the complex to a NY company, things have settled down into a more efficient and cheerful atmosphere. I am particularly grateful that the staff is helping to manage a landslide of box deliveries that I have been generating for several months. And with smiles. So, the Lakeshore Apartments are worth a look. If it fits your circumstances, go with it.

DO NOT LIVE HERE.Everything sounds good at first. Good price, plenty of amenities, friendly office staff... But once youre in they do not care.We have had numerous, relatively common, maintenance issues. That in and of itself is not an issue... What is, is how they handle them. Our first big issue was the plugs throughout the apartment. Old, worn contacts, need to be replaced. Cant even charge our phones where we want because the outlets cant hold a plug. This place has been around for awhile, no big deal. Except that they send someone who checks it off without doing anything and then it takes THREE MONTHS to get someone back out to fix it.Had another issue with the dining area lights. Marked complete, nothing was done. Get someone back out and notice a burning smell, great... I look it up. Maybe we have the wrong bulbs, maybe theres a wiring issue. Either way, I call and leave a message a couple weeks back. Still havent called me back. The front door lock to the building has been busted since before we got here.Weve had numerous toilet issues in the past month or so and every time the guy comes out to fix it something else goes wrong.Communication is poor. They change the office hours without notice, theyre regularly out and even though they have a Be Back sign with an eatimaed time it doesnt mean jack since you can come back multiple times and still not be able to find anyone. The laundry card machine is behind a door thats locked when theyre out of the office (which again, happens a lot - at least on evenings and weekends which is the only time I can really get up there) which is part of why this is an issue. This place is a trap. Once they have you locked in they will do the absolute minimum to fulfill their end of the lease agreement and offer nothing more than an insincere apology for the numerous inconveniences.Nevermind all the bug issues others have reported. We personally have been fortunate not to have this but Im surely not going to give it another year to find out. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, let alone my friends and family. STAY AWAY.EDIT: Oh, and when the apartment above us flooded they made no effort to notify us, it spread down. Flooded our floors, ruined our clothes, and damaged the wall (which was pretty much the one and only thing weve ever had fixed in a timely manner).Weve been basically perfect tennants too, rents never been late and (as far as Im aware) weve never received any complaints from our neighbors.

This is the worst place I have ever lived. It has been constant problems since I moved in. The refrigerator broke, there are literally holes in the walls, I hear gunshots at night, sewage comes out of the shower, the toilet is always running and backs up on a daily basis, the cable lines were cut... I could literally spend all day listing the problems I have had here. The staff is incredibly unsympathetic. The problems themselves are bad enough, but the staff acts like youre a burden when you ask them to fix it. They literally do the bare minimum to stay legal, and Im not even sure they do that much. They rely on the fact that most of their tenants dont make enough money to fight back legally. This place is disgusting and will drain you of your time and mental resources from the moment you move in.

I stay in the this complex for a year, Never had any issue until I decided to move out. I actually considered transferring to a one bed room apartment- They found me a unit and said I could transfer to this unit- I get a phone call the second week of July telling me that unit was no longer available for me and that they will try to find a different unit. Remind you my least was up July 31. For two weeks I hounded the apartment complex to see if they find something for me. They didnt nor did they care too. SO I literally had to MOVE a find a place to stay. Its almost been two months since I moved the apartment and they literally trying to charge me moneys that are not owed. I would have to agree with others Debbie is unsympathetic because I explained the situation to her and received no help.

I wish someone had warned me when I first moved to the area, that this place was a money sucking, sess pool. Where do I start? First of all, way over priced for the quality. I have soft spots in my kitchen, doors fell off the hinges, cockroaches and many other bugs, old appliances, outdated bathroom. Oh, and dont even get me started on the office staff. Rude and they couldnt care less about you as a tenant. Please head my warning, keep looking. Also bed bugs GALORE!
