Kathy and Kelly run a Great place . Pedicures are Great and they always leave me pleased! Been going here for a while now and had No Problems.Staff is nice and courteous .

Hannah did an amazing job! Powder acrylic in 30min..left them exactly how I wanted them. My appt was respected, they called my name exactly at 630pm,location was clean and organized. Definitely going back! 👌

Kathys is great. Ive gone in 3 times now for a gel mani and they come out so cute! Gel lasts forever. I did not get my first chip until almost two weeks. Staff is nice. Will definitely keep coming back.

I live in Northern California, but whenever I visit my uncle I make sure to stop by and get a pedicure before going back home! Theyre always super sweet and helpful every time I come in. I recommend making an appointment cause they tend to get pretty busy!

Doesnt matter who does my nails, all the gals at Kathys are excellent. Very friendly and quick too. Ive been coming here for years, I dont even live in chula vista anymore, but I drive here because theyre so great!

The only thing I dont like about going here is they always speak their language and it seems to me they talk about every client in their language and it feels so uncomfortable! I think its very very rude to not speak English while getting services from here. Other than that their ok.If there were another nail salon lose to me like this one Id probably be using another nail salon.I too wish they did hair services too!

Great service. This place is always packed on the weekends. You can call and reserve a spot no waiting necessary. Bathroom are clean. The nail ladys are very good and getting your nails good, making your nails feel and look good.

I tried to give this place several chances but every single time i am disappointed. I went to get my nails done with Liane and literally the next day my nails began to pull my hair. She also damaged my nails so bad left them extremely thin and made me bleed. The workers there are extremely rude whenever you ask them something and will do a horrible job. The receptionist is nice which was the only good part. Do not recommend this place at all.

My wife has been going here since Kathy took over and bought the nail salon. She really likes Lisa and Helen who give wonderful pedicures and beautiful nails. My Mother and Mother in Law go there as well and they really like Diane. However, I will recommend to try to go as early as possible and call to make a appt since Kathys Nails is so popular now. 5 stars!

I am not happy with the service. I walk in and tell them what I want and it went downhill from there. I wanted a French manicure with designs on 4 nails (2 on each hand) and the same design on my toe. How this was not comprehended I don’t know. There was some confusion about what design I wanted and who was going to do my toes. Somewhere along the line they thought I was getting a pedicure. How do you get a pedicure out of wanting my toes polished. I needed up settling for a simple blue polish. I wish I had time to go somewhere else but I don’t. I will never make this mistake again.

Bad customer service and lack of communication from rushed technicians. Unfortunately, I was lectured and publicly scorned about why I’m at fault for not getting the service I requested. No courtesy from unprofessional technicians.

I just left this nail salon and I have been here numerous times but after my experience today I am never coming back. As in every salon the ladies are always talking to each other while working on their client which I don’t really appreciate but that is not why I am unhappy, the lady who assisted me was busy talking so she did not care about what she was doing. she kept going over my nail with nail polish and with the cuticle pusher she poked me with the metal and it is bruised now. she messed up big time. I was very disappointed with the end result I could have done better. I know my nails are very short and it’s hard to stay in the lines but they have done it many times with my nails being shorter than they are now. My mom noticed that I was unhappy and told the later at the front desk(she was very kind) I said that they didn’t need to be fixed(at this point I just wanted to go home) but then the lady who did my nails came and pulled me by the hand, I am not trying to be dramatic but it hurt my hand a lot. Then another lady came and started saying that it’s because my nails are short and said that the reason my moms nail polish looked better was because her nails are nice, so she was implying that my nails were not. My eyes started to water up but I didn’t want to cry inside the store, so I left the store and went straight to the car and started crying. I am a ten year old so of course i cried. This is why I am never going back to Kathy’s nails again.

They take their time and do nice work. I dont feel like they rush just to get more customers like other nail salons do. Its a very relaxing and clean environment. I would recommend to all my friends and family.

I love Kathys Nails yes there is always a wait. But if you have an appt they always honor youre scheduled time. And theres a wait becouse they are great and the price is right.. 💅💝

This is the ONLY place I go to get my nails done. Kathy and Lisa are the best! They take their time and do a really good job. I used to live in Chula vista and now live in Rancho Bernardo and still drive all the way down to have them do my nails.

First time experience there was 8/10. I went for a pedicure only, but hey had me sit and soak for 15 minutes before someone attended me, but the woman who did my nails did an awesome job. Very clean, sweet staff and they move pretty quickly for the most part.

Crazy place. Got a nice pedicure, but would never return because of the craziness. Too busy to relax & enjoy. I felt uncomfortable the whole visit.

No theyre not I went there and the lady was so rude. They are only nice if you want to get dramatic nails and of course its pricey so that benefits them. But if you asked for natural nails that are less work they dont make enough money then there rude. About a week ago I asked for a certain worker they said she was busy and she didnt have a appointment available. Then my sister called right after and they gave her an with the lady that I ask for .So no they dont have good customer service. And I never see their instruments sterilized that worries me.

There was a super long wait which, whatever, its San Diego I understand this place is a busy city. When I sat to get my nails done they were trying to be efficient, I get that, but she was doing my nails and also doing someone elses nails at the foot spa at the same time. I was like okay thats weird but I really needed them done. She actually did amazing on my nails. Cleaned out underneath my nails, which my old nail lady never did so I super appreciated that, she painted them evenly and made sure to clean her lines up. Loved that. But she didnt let me put my nails under the UV light twice, which I like to do as Im a CNA and I wash my hands a lot and the polish tends to chip if I dont put it under the light twice. Paid, tips are CASH ONLY for those who never carry cash make sure to bring some, and left. Got home and was video chatting my sister and she pointed out a chipped nail. I had only been home an hour... So I was like what?! But I went back a few days later after a nail actually broke to have them fix it and the chipped paint and Kathy fixed it free, which was great! Got home and I had a nail break again 2 days later. I dont think it was their fault I just think the acrylic was a little thin.

They are terrible made my nail bleed with the drill way too rough and four of my nails are completely crooked paint job was terrible and messy and cheap just got them done three days ago and are already chipping. Didnt even clean my Cuticals my nails look like a five year old did them. When I asked her to correct her mistakes she was very rude and wouldnt listen I paid 35 dollars for the worst nail experience I do not recommend this place at all

Very upset. I went in for long almond shaped ombré nails & left with short stiletto-ish nails. When she asked if I liked the shape I told her what I wanted & she even asked to see the picture I had again, and they still came out nothing like what I wanted. The length was good but throughout my time there she just kept shortening them little by little until they were down a lot from the original length. I paid $40 and I’m very upset about it.

When i went to get my nails done tammy was nice to me the thing is that she didnt do the style i wanted i was nice and didnt say anything one of my nails poped off and i called to get it fixed when i went she asked me what happen and i told her and she like oh! Thats what happen i was like yea she has a attitude and she hurt me with the dril on my nail and she knew it too NOW MY NAIL IS GONNA HURT ME FOR LIKE 3 DAYS . Im not going back..

They charge an extra $5 for everything: design, polish removal, two color, cut nails, and more. Pedicure water is cold, very poor English, dirty towels, you have to make sure they change towels and disinfect spa chair.

In my 15 years of getting my nails done I have never had any kind of infection...I came here and got an infection on my toe because they cut my skin too much it was bleeding a lot and when I went to pay I was going to tip and the lady told me I couldnt tip on a card and seemed upset really?!!! After you cut me up and I tried to give you a tip you give me attitude...anyway I didnt want to go bk but my girl that usually does them was busy and needed a pedi ASAP so I went back to Kathys like 2 months later and the same thing happened! I got an infection that my doctor had to treat. Trust me dont go at least for pedicures. Fills are ok nothing great. None of the girls even bother to try and have a conversation with you just fyi it feels rushed in and out like most other nail places I guess

I showed him how I wanted my nails and he said he could do it and it looks nothing like ombre my colors dont fade they just iver lap and theyre wat shorter than I wanted when u told him if he can fix it he huffed and puffed I will never come here again

Recently I came back to visit my parents having moved to Missouri about two years ago and of course I had to stop for mani/pedi.The salon is even more beautiful than it was when they first started some years ago and I am happy to see that business is thriving!Kathy is the owner, the young lady that sits at the front door and staffs the first table and the register.She is kind, friendly and professional as is the rest of her staff. Sara did my pedicure and it was outstanding. Everyone speaks English and communication is not an issue as it sometimes is in other shops.Lets be real, I am too old and too fat to bend over and take care of my ingrown nails, so pedicures save my life. i received an awesome foot/leg massage and there was no sense of urgency, trying to hurry me out to take care of a waiting customer.The salon is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. There are dozens and dozens of regular and shellac nail polish colors and from their Instagram page, it looks as those they can recreate any nail shape or design you can think of.I wanted so badly to get a set of acrylic nails in some super fancy Halloween design, but I sadly decided not to. In my town, although there are a couple of nail salons, their technical skills are sadly lacking.So its true, you never know what you have, until you dont have it anymore.ps. Make an appt so you have a space waiting. You can walk in, but the wait might be long.Thanks to all the ladies of Kathys nail salon!

I went to get a fill the day before thanksgiving the next day my nail polish started coming off i ask for gel .it not gel they use it look like regular polish and the lady dont speak english so i went back a week later to tell her what happen they re did it. And i started coming off aging so i will never go back aging.
