I have been there for 5+ years. They recently fully remodeled the gym. I was happy with how it was before, but now it looks so much better! The equipment is organized better according to the muscle groups you wanna hit. Definitely recommend this gym.

I joined this gym a few years back because I wanted to be in a more private environment working out. They had a few machines I liked. The problem was they had 1 of each so often they were the only ones being used or were broken. So I couldnt do what I wanted. I finally quit them when i checked in and they said i owed money. I said i paid. They said they needed some new chairs and that every so often they pick 3 or 4 customers to charge for new stuff. No one told me they did this. So I quit. They were gonna charge me an extra $100

Worst, Most disgusting facility in Chico and Surrounding area. They also breached my contract illegally. DO NOT TRAIN HERE.

As my original post said, I enjoy the gym, the equipment. We all make mistakes it’s how we rectify them that counts and she did well.Thank you.

Great gym, affordable and has everything you need.

This gym makes every member pay a $25 enhancement fee on March 1st. Monthly membership dues should be enough. I have accidentally put my hand on the same piece of gum underneath a piece of equipment since the first day I started there (5 months).

Very rude customer service by Justin. He speaks over you and puts down other gyms in order to try maintain membership at this gym. The cardio equipment is by far in need of being replaced. Equipment is dirty. They do not enforce people to wipe down their machines after use. Locker rooms are always dirty.

The gym is awsome. I signed up yesterday and the club manager was great. Yes I know its alittle run down but its $39 a month, and they are trying. I already love this place.

This place has really turned around in the last few months. It is finally managed well with great staff. It shows with the cleanliness and the upkeep of the equipment. They have cleared out some of the less desirable members. What you get is a functional gym with motivated members and staff.

Ive never been to that gym in Chico but Ive been to the NS Fit in Oroville and have been their for 31/2 years and am very satisfied with the staff there

I like this gym for the same reason most people give it a negative review. It doesnt have the spa-like amenities or the exclusive luxury vibe. It is a gym, its a little brash and rough around the edges but it still has all the equipment you will find at those other gyms. I recomend this gym to anyone who is looking to workout or train without all the extra unnecessary fluff.

Ive been going g here for years. Everyone is pretty cool, even the serious and comp lifters are respectful. Older style, not as frilly as some of the other clubs but has a lot if equipment from corded machines, to guided free weights and a lot of iron to throw around.

NS Fitness is a good gym if you’re looking to just work out. The staff is AMAZING always fast and friendly. HOWEVER, ownership is trash!!! They leave the Chico NS fit under staffed, and a small margin to operate. I really like NS Fit because it serves all my needs as a gym.

Great gym, tons of room and all the equipment was super clean and working. Membership prices are reasonable and they have a sauna.

Nice clean gym... Not as crowded as some of the other gyms.

NS is basic but it has what I need, cardio, weights, showers, basketball courts, racket ball courts etc. I like that it’s fairly spread out with different areas to do your work in. Staff is super friendly. Billing can be tough at times but they’ll correct errors that happen. I appreciate that people are in there to do work and leave for the most part. The price is right, I’ve called it home now for about 4 years and I don’t plan going anywhere soon.

Im probably a little biased but I love this gym! I feel at home here I know most all the regular people at all times of day or at least recognize there faces. Theres never very many people in here like other gyms Ive been too. And it has everything I need as a bodybuilder

This gym is at an all time low (doesn’t even deserve a star). The pools were broken and unusable doing the summer season, equipment always mixed up, broken or missing and the unclean locker rooms are always out of paper towels and toilet paper (sometimes a female worker would ask me to restock the men’s room). The staff tries to do their best but they don’t. I got two free sessions with the personal trainers once but I only used one of them because they were never around when you needed them (I got fed up with waiting for them to be there). I been at this gym since 2011 so trust me this gym isn’t worth it! I only stayed as it was close to home and I got a good bargain price but now it ain’t worth it.

The gym itself is fine. However the contracts and policies are absurd. After my year contract expired they begin charging month to month. When I called the day my contract expired to make sure they would stop charging, they told me it had already been charged and I could not get a refund for that month, despite my calling that very day!! So read the fine print because they will not hesitate to use every technicality to take your money.

Great place, wonderful equipment, and friendly attendees. I love working out here.

Great layout for people that really want to train lots of space, great cardio layout on the second level out of the way and never stuffy with good air circulation, and plenty of weights and machines to get a good workout even when its busy. Bathrooms get pretty tore up when Im there in the evenings, but I do usually get there later in the evenings. Tiffany, Eric, and David are very helpful, accommodating, professional and friendly.

Solid Gym, great Weight room, helpful staff, Enough cardio equipment, however the Pool area has been in disrepair since last spring and the locker room could updated but other than that its great and honestly you cant beat the price.... its a REAL Gym thats not overly crowded....

I currently workout at NS Fitness, the staff is always friendly but the facility itself is very dirty. The main problem I have with NS is the equipment is not very well maintained and several pieces of equipment are under repair. In my experience it takes several weeks for this equipment to be fixed, it is extremely frustrating.

I was a member since 2011. They started doing some huge renovations that year and thats why I joined the gym. Since then, the gym has gotten extremely bad. Their locker rooms are nasty and old. The machines are always broken. Do NOT join this gym. I just gave them my cancellation and they charged me $59.99 just to cancel. After 6 years and they couldnt even facilitate at all. They are cheap. Not a good gym, the employees are good people but the gym itself is awful! Just go to In Motion instead

What a joke. The machines dont work and other machines are ‘Out of Service’. The daycare worker let a big kid pick up my daughter when she was clearly uncomfortable with it. They won’t let me cancel the monthly daycare charge even though I won’t be taking my kids there anymore.

NS Fitness has the most amazing staff who welcomes you by name and make us all feel like family. If you go consistently you see the same faces and everyone is friendly. I am not good with names but I have a small group of people I know and we encourage each other.I go really early to start my day off with either the weights or Elliptical machines then go to the Jacuzzi and pool. There can be a lot of people there but we are all spread out doing our own routines so I rarely have to wait for a machine.I could not think of a better place to start my day.Kaye

Friendly staff. Gym could be a bit cleaner. My big complaint is that so many people dont clean the exercise machines after using them. All those signs that say Thank you for cleaning machines after use are there for a reason, people. Wise up.

Its a gym, love the pools.. Child care; I wish it went all day but its still great!

I had been with the gym for over a year. It was okay but then got packed. I ended up moving and wanted to end my membership and the manager hands me a piece of paper saying basically that I had to request to end my membership and that they may not end it. I said I didnt understand as this makes no sense. After I tried and failed to explain simple logic to the manager he eventually got all huffy and said he would take care of it. I thanked him and went on my way. I even said its fine whatever I have to pay is fine I just do not want to go to their gym anymore. After a month or two they were still pulling out money. Apparently he didnt handle it. I called and at this time Im heated. They give me the run around that hes busy. So basically I called my bank and reported them as fraud. Theyre worse than a clingy girlfriend/boyfriend. The contract said nothing of this when I started going and theyre just plain deceitful and not professional.

I always enjoy coming to NS Fitness. Staff is friendly an helpful, theirs always equipment available an the hours are great. Im glad i chose NS Fitness

I only use the pool...walking, as I am of Vintage age & handicapped & it has stairs into it. During the afternoon/sunshine hours the reflections off of the bottom of the pool are literally blinding since the bottom of the pool is painted white w/no lines for directions...INTERESTING predicament!!! The banisters needed for support for VINTAGE & shorter people for both the walking pool & the spa are very difficult to use due to their short stature!I would like to suggest that solar panels could be installed above the outdoor pools to insure a huge reduction in the cost of electricity for the whole gym and less exposure to brilliant sunshine during the afternoon. [there is still plenty of space for sun bathing on the deck!.]When I signed up, about a month ago, I was told that remodeling of the Ladies locker room was to begin the following week...not yet! Can use it!So why do I go? It is much less expensive than other gyms...dont have to pay a year at a time...it is closer to my home...it could be adapted rather easily for easier access for Vintage/handicapped..it could be a GREAT GYM & I hope that it becomes so

It is horrible. I signed up to give it a try and its the worst thing I have ever done. Ive tried canceling my membership and they just dont let me. They just take money from me. Very unhelpful staff. I would prefer to just do pushups in the burning floor!!!!!

Very pleasant and helpful during new membership sign-up. It really falls apart after that though. Nice facilities on Walton Ave in Yuba City. However, after a fire in their other Yuba City location, Walton became uncomfortably packed. Always a battle to get equipment. Parking is huge issue as well. Upon cancelling my month to month membership, one particular employee was absolutely rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, other employees witnessed his rude comments and attitude but did not seem to want to correct it or apologize for the treatment. They shook their heads at it and when I made a comment about his bad attitude they just agreed with me. Maybe hes the owner or a relative of. My thirty day notice became a two month notice some how, with fees of course.

BIG SAFETY issue with this GYM. No safety guards over the lights in the BasketBall Gym. Several of us have complained only to have our Coach Kevin kicked out of the facility. Shame on the owner, and management! Safety should be one of the priority for any business. Wanted the public to beware of NS Fitness.Take Care.

I tried the 5 day trial and canceled which I thought was a fair deal; since they told me I would be refunded incase I didnt like and request a cancellation, however Im being charged once again a $29.00 fee when im not even going to the gym nor was I advised that the cancellation takes 30 days to process. worst experience in a long time DONT GO!

Gym and people are fine. The company is has terrible policies regarding contracts.
