The driver himself was professional and quick. The price for a tow 200 ft to a mechanic was over $100. When I asked about it they tried to claim that they would be operating at a loss to charge a reasonable price and pulled out the easy because covid excuse. It took 20 minutes of an employees time, and less than 50 cents of gas, Im not sure what other possible overhead costs there could be that would bring their costs that much higher.

Now this is one place that I would say 100% is customer friendly!!! Excellent and prompt service and when I called to have them email my receipt I couldn’t have talked to a more wonderful staff!!! Thank you for making a bad experience pleasant❤️❤️❤️

Ive used XL at my job for several years and have always appreciated their service. The Owner, dispatchers and the drivers are gems. I know theyll be professional and they always come through. But when the worst happens, I wouldnt think of another company to contact. My Mom was in a major car accident that sent she and 4 other people from the scene in an ambulance. I contacted XL, stressed out, and per usual they eased my concerns, and hauled and stored her vehicle for the insurance company. The Best!! Moms car was totaled but she was fine... Wear your seatbelts!! Please!!

I have used XL Towing in the past and as always they exceeded my expectations. The driver was very friendly. The transaction was hassle free and he made sure I was in a safe location to catch an uber. Totally satisfied!

After “roadside assistance” sent literally 8 different low-budget tow companies to try and take my car out of an underground parking garage, none of whom had the proper equipment, the dealership’s sales manager reached out directly to XL Towing. They showed up promptly with the correct equipment. Eddie was efficient, professional and courteous. He had the car loaded and on it’s way for service in minutes. I could not have asked for better service from a tow company.

I needed to get a tow from Chicago to Indiana. (Which is quite a bit!) I called a lot of places, but XL was the most prompt, professional, and much more affordable. I was so relieved with their help and the tow driver was very kind and professional. I would definitely recommend them!

They were there quick, only 30 minutes after I called. Super friendly driver, even checked on my car to see if he could tell me what the issue might be. He dropped it off at the mechanic in their lot and the whole thing took less than an hour. at $95 it was a bit expensive but I would happily pay it again to avoid the hassle of waiting a long time for someone else.

They were great at communicating and got there much faster than expected which was awesome! I was stuck on the highway as my tire burst after hitting a pothole on the ramp and they were very willing to work with me and come to where I was. There was a bit of confusion helping them get to me but nothing that couldnt be easily fixed!

Great service, Dave was especially professional calling before arriving, arrived within 30 minutes inner city, and took a look at my ignition issue before towing my vehicle and giving me a ride to the mechanic shop. I recommend these guys.

Steve at XL Towing is the best. Quick service and he helped me jump my car when I thought my battery was dead. I had tried to jump it 4 different times before that without success. Fast, courteous and helpful. Never thought I would say that about a Towing company. Highly recommended

Called dispatcher Sheri, very friendly and helpful, provided a long-distance flat-rate quote within seconds. Steve was the tow truck driver/operator and he was professional, quick, and friendly. Hopefully wont have a need for a tow again, but if I do, I will be calling XL. Highly recommend.

My brother and I were stranded on the expressway for 6 hours. We tried his road side assistance but nobody towed scooters. After speaking to the good people over at XL towing, MJ showed up! This man was excellent help, kind, and knowledgeable. His work was quick and excellent. I cannot thank MJ and XL towing enough. Ill be recommending them everyone I know.

So these AMAZING people saved me. The lady over the phone stayed with me until AAA finally called me.The car that I had was impounded. When I went to pick up the car, and the Battery and the Brand New Tire gone. After spending almost 30 minutes on the phone with AAA after waiting for 4 hours I called this awesome please. Within the hour of me telling AAA that XL was available they were here! Adam was very helpful and made sure that we were safe! I would use them again! Thanks for the help!

My trucks transmission went out on the Bishop Ford Expressway at 10:00 PM. I called this business.The dispatcher was professional and understanding in getting my information to make sure that I was in the right location. The driver, upon arriving, was the epitome of friendliness and professionalism. He got my truck off the expressway, handled the paperwork quickly, and got my truck to my house in no time. He even offered some insight as to my trucks transmission problems, which led to me having to be towed in the first place.I would hate to have to need a tow truck again. But should that need arise, this will be the first one that I call.

My car shutoff while I was driving out of no where and my car was completely dead. My fiancée found XL towing online and called them for help. After speaking with Sherri she said she could have a guy out to where the car was located pretty quickly. After about 10 minutes they called back and said the tow truck out was actually farther away than expected and it would be about 45 min left longer. Sherri recommended a competitor that was close to us and had them reach out as they were able to get us off the road much faster. The new company called right away and was very professional and came in less than 15 minutes. I would highly recommend calling XL because I know no matter what they would not leave you stranded!

I relocated to Chicago eight months ago from Minneapolis, so I now have (for better, or for worse) had experience with tow companies in both markets, and with various results.My experiences with the people at XL Towing in Chicago have been exceptional, really. Their dispatch people are very kind and polite, and their trucks arrive quickly and get the job done. I had a Audi all-wheel sedan with TWO blown tires (Chicago street potholes - No Comment). After luckinly connecting with XL, they had a flatbed truck to me in under 30 minutes, and on a freezing cold (busy) night!Trust your phone call to XL Towing. They know their business, they know Chicago, and theyll get you back on the road.Safe travels!

This place is overly expensive my daughter tie rod broke 5 feet away from our garage all we needed was for them to tow the car to the garage to get it out the alley way and they wanted $150.00...REALLY!!! Thats ridiculously!!!! Wouldnt even give them one star but had to just to review them 👎👎👎
