My friend needed her car towed from where the tire busted to the tire shop. I called like 5 places, but it wasn’t till I called Lincoln Towing that I got someone on the phone who was actually helpful. Anthony helped me walk through all the options for different timing issues I had, estimated quotes on the phone then confirmed them with the drivers shortly after, reminded me of the payment specifics a few times, and overall just made sure the process was super smooth and clear. The driver was perfectly punctual and did a great job. I would definitely recommend Lincoln to anyone who needed a tow!

Very unethical business practices. I parked in a parking lot, left the property for 5 minutes, came back, and my car was gone. I intended to patronize a pizza place that the parking lot was for but was unable to due to the $220 fee for towing. I immediately walked to the business and got my car back. There were at least 5 other people there with the same situation, one woman had left to retrieve her wallet that she forget in restaurant and when she came back her car was gone. Some people said they had checked for no parking signs prior to being towed, found none, then after their car was towed, they suddenly appeared. I have no pictures to back that claim but it wouldnt surprise me.A business that tows 3 cars in a 20 minute period because their owners left the property for less than 10 minutes is clearly waiting like a vulture for cars to tow. They were disrespectful and uncooperative.

Well I parked in a row zone and that sucked but the men were kind. I paid the $220 and rode out in only a matter of mins

The guy (bald guy) is charging us the max capacity of the uhaul weight when we just got the van and there’s maybe a TV and a dresser the (bald guy) barely let us talk and talk over us constantly. Private businesses take advantage that they can create their own policies. We were going to pay for the towing but at the actual weight the van is. He tried denying our payment cause we told him that it’s not at the max weight. We called the police and its because they can change policies. They’ve changed their name multiple times for legal reasons which results in sketchy work. So good luck getting an honest amount to pay your fee for towing.

The guy who works there made me wait (very sketchy inside, looks like a prison cell) then just yelled at me until he got my card for the $215 fee even though it was only half a mile away and when he got my card then he calmed down. Scummy business. Seriously rude employee.

Towed my car out of a parking lot with No posted No parking signs. Less than 20 minutes after I parked to drop someone off, after work. I walked the lot looking for signage. None to be found.Lincoln Towing Service is a cancer on this city. Holding cars hostage for $200 a pop. Providing zero service for society.The absolute worst business in Chicago.

I am not sure if these are the original Lincoln Park pirates or not. Unfortunately our car was towed because someone parked in a private parking space. It was clearly marked and it was our fault. That said, $218.50 later how can anyone be happy with being towed. On the fair and impartial side, our car did not have any damage. We arrived there within 6 hours of the tow . However if you look closely at the attached photos you will see broken bumper parts, damaged cars and license plates throughout the parking lot. I highly recommend that if you are towed here, you go get your car as soon as possible. There is an additional $47 charge per day on top of the towing.

A car was parked in my spot that was clearly labeled “will be towed at owners expense” and signed by Lincoln Park Towing Company. When I called the tow company - they were extremely rude and impatient. Kept putting me on hold as I was in the middle of my sentence. I called in every 4-5 hours to check in as I continued to see the car parked in my spot. They were so rude and unhelpful to me - unable to provide an answer as to why they weren’t there yet.The car’s owner got into his car 48 hours later and moved it at their leisure after the tow truck company never came through on their job.

This towing service is located only 1.5 mi from the pickup. My car aint good condition however having trouble starting, was the beach towed less than 3 mi to the mechanic. Two other towing services quoted me at $75. Laughably this man quoted me at 120 and when I mentioned the competitions prices he really just hung up. Not sure if theyre having problems financially but price gouging what people requested services its going to put these people out of business fast. Stay away from this guy I promise comparing prices will benefit you. During this unexpected event.

Used this company for a tow, will never do business again. I ran something over and needed a tow, wen i called i was given a twenty min wait, I was ok with that, thirty minutes later I call them and they tell me the guy pulled up and I wasnt there so he went to fill up the truck, which wasnt true I was sitting inside the car the whole time, 30 mins and two more phone calls the driver pulls up, upon arrival he begins asking me gang related questions and if I had ever shot somebody, I was confused because I did not know this person. I only needed my car parked off out of the middle of the street and ended up paying 80$. Im a second generation tow trucker and he shouldnt have charged me more than 50$ especially with the wait that I had, I payed the full amount jus to end my interaction with this strange company. 04/3/10

BEWARE OF THIS LOT AND DONT PARK IN IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TOWED! Doesnt matter if you shop or not. I was in the lot less than one-hour with receipts to prove I bought things. THEY WILL TOW YOU! The attendant taking the money is THE MOST unproffesional person Ive ever seen.

My car was towed from a Spot Hero parking spot that was paid for with my plate number attached to the reservation. I have requested the phots of my car from Lincoln Towing 6 times and still, I have not received the photos I need for reimbursement. To add to the situation that’s already a hassle, my car was damaged during the tow. I have submitted for the repair to be paid for by Lincoln Towing but I am expecting it to get denied. I will have to wait and see what the outcome will be.

Everyone needs to understand the law! Read and re-read Chapter 9-84 of the Chicago Code! If you are IN YOUR CAR, you can not be towed. If youre in a private lot and the truck has not yet left the lot, they legally have to release your vehicle! Take pictures of all signs around the area. They must be visible, above 3 feet from the ground and below 7 feet from the ground to be legal. They must provide you a picture of your tow. I requested one and am currently waiting (they claim to have a week to provide it.)Lincoln Towing drivers will take your call illegally. Please, everyone, fight it via the IL Commerce Commission and notify the aldermen in your area and where LTS is located (44th ward?)

Awful service. Rude dispatch. Make a big problem from nothing. And I just stopped by to replace a bad window sticker.PS They towed my car two times for the last four years even i had sticker on both cars (returned for free, but anyway)

A lot of people give this place a bad rap for towing their cars, but I got to say when youre in a pinch these guys really pull through. It was cheap and it was really fast. We gave them a call and within 20 minutes the driver James was able to get over and help pull our car out of the ice! Thanks man!!

The cashier is extremely rude and unprofessional. He refused to answer questions about the total of the bill, stating it would be on the receipt once paid. When asking again, he told me to shut up and threatened, “Someone’s going to get it today!”

Sad that such businesses exist. Park outside of parking lots with hidden towing signs. Tried to reason with them and a sad fat man threatened to fight me outside. Clearly not much going on upstairs, perhaps a few bulbs that went out. Can only feel bad for people that make money in such an ugly and dishonest way.

We used them here and there for 6-unit parking HOA. They have been very slow in response, almost like they are not interested in making money. But what just happened today made me write this review. My husband called them regarding car blocking his parking spot, but he didnt know the password he supposed to say. So he said I check with my wife and will call you back. The dispatch said to this: Please dont. !!! So we wont. We will take our business elsewhere.

Ive never had a good experience with towing companies. And this time didnt change that narrative. Unprofessional, they dont care if it was a misunderstanding, if you were not from the area and didnt know not to park there etc... Its just give me my money with them. At least be kind when Im paying you to get my car back. Jeez.

I had my car towed from a parking lot for the Restaurant that I was dining at (Uptown area. On Broadway and block north of Lawrence. Across street from Post office and Uptown Theater). I had the restaurants parking slip on the dash. That didnt matter; they towed my car away. There was a guy walking around taking photos of cars and plates. I went to the lot and didnt see my car. I had to get the towing company address and a ride to their towing lot. Then I had to pay (ransome of $200) to get my car back. Later I find out that this towing company had many complaints and was under investigation. Definitely understand why. Advice: Dont park in the parking lot that is maintained by Lincoln Towing.

They took my car illegally from a private parking lot where i live took the cops and they couldnt legally tell them to release my car even tho the cops agreed 100% with me that they could see my sticker they charged $268 to let my car go charged on extra day just cause she felt like it contacted BBB hopefully they do something about it with the scam they are running.

Predatory Towing, completely illegal. Refused to show license with appropriate ordinance jurisdiction documentation (no permits were shown). They did not confirm/validate the park spot reservation. Spotters presumably were used and called in the tow. Even picked up the car with an hour left on the park spot reservation time frame. Spot Hero has been notified with the documentation, and will attempt to serve justice. All, please continue to leave reviews, and hold this establishment accountable for their actions. Report them to your authorities. Their next class action lawsuit (last in May 2019) will not be so fortunate.

They were on point

They towered my car in front of my Garage on private property. My key fab was not working I went into the building to ask security to open the garage for me when I returned they towed my car. I called Lincoln Towing the guy said that my security officer that was helping me get the garage door open. The security officer was with me the entire time and we reviewed the Camara the Lincoln Towing did not get a call and towed my car illegally from private property.

These scam artists towed my car away from a SpotHero spot with 2 days on the rental and then stole every single valuable thing out of it. How so many people can have the same complaint and yet they still operate is beyond me. Someone needs to shut them down.

I will give zero start to this place if I could, this place is the worse very rude people hopefully they stay closed for Good and forever...So heres what happened to me, my car was parking in my parking lot I have my sticker on it everything was okay and then these guys show up to check the cars and see that my car was open they get inside of the car they took the sticker out of the windshield they put it down in the floor and they took my car then I tried to explain them what happened and they just laughed of me and say oh is $218 are you going to pay or not.

I had a receipt for parking and when I presented it they said they didn’t care. The car was still on private property and they refused to unhook it even though that is Illinois State Law.I’m a 5’ female and was alone, I was taken advantage of. I get it, cars need to be towed. But they are not only predatory, they are breaking the law.

Horrible people. They sit on the parking lot next to Murphys bar for visitors to Wrigley that do not know it is parking for the bar only. There is no sign that says it is for bar patrons only. They have had their license revoked many times. Must know an alderman to keep opening up over and over again. Another shining example of the corruption in Chicago and the reason we stay away from there as much as possible.

The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. They took my car from my paid parking spot six months after I started parking there and damaged the front end while doing it. They then forced me and several other people to pay to get our cars back, I was not issued a refund until the parking company complained to them.

I parked my car in the parking lot at Jewel at Howard and Clark. I went to the Jewel. I spent a couple hundred on groceries.I walked down the street to a shoe store with my son.I came back.No car.The unprofessional people at Lincoln Towing were horrible.I am rooting big time for their license to be revoked I the current court case.They are crooks who bend rules and policies for profit.Some of the food was ruined.Horrible People.

This place is garbage. They gave me attitude on the phone then lied to me about why my car was taken from my high-rise. Also, they obviously arent interested in performing a helpful service because they took my older car by driving past a newer car that had been parked in the same area for much longer.

They damaged my car while towing it and gave me a form to fill out after I took my car. I filled it out returned it 2 months ago and have called to follow up over a dozen times and the Manager never picks up or calls me back. I will try to take this to small claims court.

These steaming piles of garbage towed one of my vehicles off private property they didn’t have authorization to be on. Hope the state revoked their license to operate.

My experience with them is mixed. I left my headlights on in front of their office while I went over to do an estimate nearby. When I returned my battery was dead and I went in and asked for a jump. A tow truck guy came out and did it for $30. Then went on and asked if I wanted a receipt for a higher amount so that I could send it in to my insurance company and get reimbursed. Basically he was offering to help me commit fraud. I said thanks for the jump but no thanks on the other.

Reading on other feedback and personal experience, looks like these people run two kinds of scams. They tow cars despite having permit but capitalizes on some minor faults such as tag not visible. The second one is, placing agents who happen to have no real job and then call on them soon after the cars are illegally parked.Most complaints about towing describe the incidence happening within few minutes of someone parking, an indication someone was observing to look for a fault. I understand in a limited parking area, it makes sense to enforce strict parking, but one should practice good judgement also. Sneaking around and catching someone by surprise who parks for a few minute is really bad business practice. I bet these guys arent available when a car actually need to be towed.

My landlord has been dragging his feet giving me a permit sticker for the space I pay for every month. I heard these guys out back and ran out in the middle of them loading up my car. I know they hear excuses all the time and were just doing their job but I wasnt about to let my car get towed when I rent the spot. But of course my landlord didnt answer his work phone at night. Theyre basically the scum of the earth stereotype of a tow truck driver. Tried to fight my boyfriend using the whole what are you gunna do about it?? line and called me a c*nt. I ended up just sitting on the hood of my car until they drove off. They also threatened to be back every day that week till they were able to tow me. Dont expect a reasonable or intelligent conversation with them. Reading the other reviews of them stealing stuff out of peoples cars I consider myself lucky***update: only two days after this incident I found a massive nail/screw lodged into my rear tire...I can’t say it was them but I also can’t say it wasn’t. Replacing the tire cost less than a tow though and I didn’t get robbed by them like a lot of other people on here

Lincoln Towing is the absolute best company on the world. They have found a way to legally steal from you when youve done nothing wrong.My favorite part in dealing with them is how they treat you like trash and demand money for your stolen goods!Oh, and the meth...lady at the Lincoln Park area office is so kind and respectful that you cant wait to come get robbed again in broad daylight. She has video to prove your innocence only it was filmed on a 96 Nokia mobile phone, with no audio and even though the quality is horrible, its clearly not you or even the same color car.Wow. I love this place! I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs to feel like trash and lose some money after buying some groceries.

My car was towed twice by this company from St. Clement Church in Lincoln Park where Im a parishioner. When I called to make arrangements to pick up my vehicle the first time in May, the gentleman on the other end of the phone told me to come wearing something cute... horrifyingly inappropriate and shady to say the least. Needless to say, I wouldnt/didnt show up to this run down facility by myself out of fear for my own safety.When I called this morning to inquire about the arrangements for pick up, the woman who answered the phone was much more professional. The facility however, needs some serious improvements.

These guys are under investigation by the state of illinois of shady practices.

I wish there was a way to give this place less than one star. My car was just illegally towed. I went to the gym at Howard and parked in the lot. This scheisty company claims I left the property with two others, which is odd, considering Ive been alone all day. I have check in proof from the gym that I never left. even calling the cops out, I couldnt get my car out without paying. The woman up front looked like she was on drugs and she even was rude to the police. Now I have to file a complaint to get my money back. When will the city revoke their license, this company is completely shady and full of crooks!

Terrible people. Sad they have been allowed to continue operating while challenging their license revocation. When I called to find out where the car had been taken the woman on the phone was outright hostile, threatening, and aggressive. She then hung up without letting me know where my car had been taken. She has clearly been able to get away with this behavior for a long time.

Bunch of criminals running a fraudulent business. They got my car towed from a parking lot of a shopping center while I was inside shopping and con about 218 bucks from me while the management of the shopping center said they have nothing to do with it. They just used trick and fraud to rip people off money.

I wish I didn’t even have to give a star. My property is pretty strict with enforcing parking permits and assigned spaces. I come out of my building to discover my car is gone. My property asked for a grey Kia forte to be removed from a very specific location and their driver TOWED THE WRONG A GREY KIA SUV FROM A DIFFERENT PARKING LOT. How is this ok? It took 6 hours to get on the phone with a manager who was incredibly rude and hung up on me after trying to speak over me and raise his voice. It is completely unacceptable. It look another hour and a half for them to admit their fault and release my vehicle. Didn’t even get as much as an apology from these people. I understand you are probably hearing every excuse in the book and dealing with poor attitudes every day but learn to have a little respect. As far as I’m concerned this was criminal and they’re lucky I didn’t call the police to report their actual theft.

While I was having dinner at the Plaza, they towed my car where it clearly says, it’s free parking for customers. Upon returning my car, the attendant refused to see the receipt. Very unethical business going on with Lincoln Towing Service. They need to be placed out of business.

This company damage my front & rear bumpers, then their insurance company declined payment (my front bumper was replaced as new the day before they towed my car). They had an in with arbitration, but I filed a report to the state, and can only hope that my report added to their current problems with the States Attorneys Office. with any luck, they will be closed down (but likely to reopen another unethical business under new name)

After using the chase bank and parking in the lot, I return to my car gone after this snake of a towing company takes my car in minutes. I go to the business and the employee doesnt even talk to me regarding getting this sorted out. Hands down the worse customer service and the most foul business I have even came into contact with. I have also learned they are going through many legal issues regarding there practices. Anyone else unsatisfied with Lincoln towing companies service or have a similar issue please sign the petition to have there business license revoked. If I could give this place negative stars, I would drown them in negative stars. Where do I start? They illegally towed my vehicle, after less than 20 minutes in a lot labeled free parking in northern Chicago. Regardless of the ridiculously short period of time my car sat there (theres no way there couldve been enough time to secure written permission submitted by a store owner as well as legal authorization from a police force with local jurisdiction), there was not proper signage on the lot, as I never saw an accompanying sign that said your car would be relocated if you left the premises. When I did go back to find my car, and then take photos, it became quickly evident that the lot in question didnt have proper signage, in line with Illinois state statutes. The signs were not of proper height, nor were the letters reflective, which is why we didnt see them at dusk (or at all). Then, when we went to retrieve the vehicle, the attendant refused to allow us to inspect the vehicle or even see the vehicle before paying, another direct violation of Illinois state law. He simply refused to provide any documentation or physical evidence prior to payment. When I called Chicago PD, they claimed it was a civil matter and refused to assist me. I will be suing both entities in court.

Absolutely the most unprofessional business Ive ever encountered. An employee of theirs threatened me when I accompanied a friend to retrieve a car illegally towed (no signage present). The same employee threatened to pin my husband in a mechanical gate.

I had the sticker posted in a place were the driver didnt see it and he towed my brand new escalade with 28 miles on it straight out of the dealership. from my own building I own 37 properties in the Chicagoland area all of them no longer deal with Lincoln towing service.

I gave one star because it was required to leave a review. What a crock of BS. Parked my rental in a very empty parking lot for one hour. Tourist in the area and spent plenty of money helping local economy. Guess that wasnt enough because this crooked company took the first opportunity they had to take on another $218. I am an honest tax paying, hard working, American and was on vacation for a couple of days In Chicago when I made the mistake of parking in the wrong empty free lot. Was away from vehicle for an hour. I bet these people need drugs tohelp them sleep at night because they make their money the illegal way by taking it from people who work for a living. These guys towed my car from a parking lot I had reserved with SpotHero. When I told them they towed my car during my hours of reservation according to my receipt the gentleman on the phone said “I don’t know why he towed your car. Let me get a hold of him. Call back in 10 minutes.” I called back in 10 minutes and he said “the guy who towed your car is sleeping and I can’t get a hold of him.” At this point I had to Uber to get to work at 5am. When I got off I called back and a lady picked up the phone and said “you can come pick up you car.” I asked to at least refund me the Uber rides and SpotHero fee but she said something along the lines of “I shouldn’t be giving you your car or else $215 would come out of my paycheck.” I asked her if she would lose money for the car they unlawfully towed and she just deflected blame to the driver. So, that was a fun morning... could have at least said sorry somewhere in the process.

The worst company ever! My car was towed even though I was about to get in my car. They lifted the front quickly so as I cant drive. I begged them to stop, but the two guys continued. I had to ride inside the tow truck with them just to pay when I arrived at their Clark Street address. Monsters!

I hope this review is able to change these folks business practices and gets people their money back. After improperly towing me from a parking lot shared by my gym and a Walgreens, both of which I was a customer. They admitted to their wrongdoing, offered a refund, and up until now decide to play childish runaround games preventing me from talking to the “1 person” I need to to get a refund. And this has been 2 years and employees of the gym have been towed from the gyms parking lot. George Washington and the Boston tea party wouldn’t have gone for this and neither should we. I hope someone can give advice on getting your money back from these crooks who know what they’re doing is wrong.

There should be an option for 0 stars. This company -if you can call it that- is an absolute joke. The condo association I have uses these losers to monitor our parking lot. They are hardly ever there and dont ever show up when they are called. I called them today because there was a car parked in my assigned spot and they said they couldnt locate me as an authorized person. Ive owned the condo for more than a year and theyve had no problem finding me in the past (even though they never show up).Useless company.

Seriously the biggest joke of a business i’ve ever come across. These people are unbelievable garbage and their service is as shady as it gets. Hopefully the state steps in soon, and rids these workers from this cesspool of an establishment.

I would give a zero star if I could. This company are thiefs and they are proud of it. The rudest people I have ever been involved with and wrongfully tow your car! Happened twice to me. They then sit behind their cage and demand money or hold your car hostage at $45 storage fee daily. I have a case number on my second tow from 7.22.2017 through Illinois Commerce Commission. Almost one year later as they avoid investigations and feel people just give up after they STEAL YOUR MONEY! I have a better name than Lincoln Park Pirates they are referred to.....however not appropriate to be posted publicly! LOL! I hope these crooks lose their license/business as local celebration would be close to Cubs winning World Series!

No one voluntarily seeks these scammers business, they are a menace to society. I dont think their 1.2 rating hurts their business model any. To have any effect on these criminals, please stop going to the businesses that tip them off. Im sure they have a cut. They have scouts on the pay working at the establishments outside where your car gets towed - go leave that business a bad review.

These people are douchebags. Had my car towed while parked for 1 minute making a food delivery. They then got pulled over on the way to the tow place on 4880 N Clark for not properly securing my car down with the straps.

I am a customer of Lincoln for many years and never been dissapointed.

These guys are thieves waiting for you to park and then tow your vehicle without any notice. The boards they hang around are hidden and agents present there do not tell you in advance if parking is allowed or not. They collect ridiculously high amounts like $200 and tow your vehicle 3 miles away.They have towed at least 50 vehicles when independence day parade is going on 8/16/2014 and collected 200 bucks for each.Chicago police need to arrest this company. If pay parking was closed an alternate parking should have been arranged by Chicago authorities but they just sat there watching the parade.

If you own an All wheel drive car forget about calling this towing company altogether (They wont even use a dolly for you if they have one). If you have any other type of car, call them at your own risk, because they will not pay for damages or at least nullify the bill to appease customers. They blew the transfercase and the cv axel on a friends sisters all wheel drive car. Wont pay, dont negate the bill. Youre disgusting business practice shows in your reviews and you refuse to deal with it, regardless of some of them being just pissed you towed them from illegal parking.

These people drag my 4×4 and broke my differential I made a claim through my insurance after couple days my insurance called and said that Lincoln Towing does not have insurance,the damage was 2500 I had to pay out of my pocket. now a second time they Towed my car illegally and they did damage on my front fenders, and side skirts. I tried calling in but they are so ignorant as always, I dont know what to do

This has to be the worst towing company in Chicago. I dont understand why they are still in business. They towed the wrong car from our building and had the nerve to not once apologize or understand their wrong doing. This matter wont be left unheard and will defiantly be brought up to the court level. You need to get out of business!!!

When you think about humanity, exclude them. They defy the bounds of social civilzation, lack empathy and basic human emotion. I cannot conjure a worse place and peoples than Lincoln Towing.

That lady was good to me.But their prices were high.

Just got my car towed from the bank I was using the atm ... they had my car for 5 mins tops. Drove recklessly almost ran me over. Horrible company. Going to my car checked for damages because the guy driving was just whipping it around corners.

This company over charged me. They stated my vehicle was over 8000lbs which cost over double the normal vehicle. The truth is my vehicle weighs only 5000lbs. They fee charged was $520 and should have been only $216. Be warned they will rip you off.
