This is not a post office. There’s a mail box in the building.
PLACE IS CLOSED. Has been closed for months.
First issue is they held package at their location, secondly not being able to get them on the phone with a terrible loop in their IVR. Then I decided to visit the location unfortunately finding the building is harder than finding a needle in a haystack. Uber got lost, i got lost using google maps. I gave up and left. Hopefully they will attempt to redeliver or return to sender. Terrible service!
This place does not exist
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. In and out in just a few minutes. It was slightly difficult to find the Post Office in the building. Easiest way seems to be the main entrance on Franklin. Go inside, take the escalator down, turn right off the escalator and then take the first left. Follow the hall straight to the Post Office.
This post office is closed most of the time. If you parcels to pick up, you’re out of luck.
Excellent service! Employees were helpful and patient.Other branches didnt have the box I needed, but they had it here.It was not crowded at all.
I almost never write online reviews, but my experience here was so contrary to the other reviews that I feel compelled to leave it to set the record straight for people like me who looked here to try to find out about the experience and were left feeling horrified by where I was about to go.I went in. I got a flat rate box for my goods. I folded it up and put them inside it. I took it to the counter and asked the man behind it a few questions, he answered them, and then I gave him money and walked out. The whole process took about 5 minutes. At no point in my conversation with him would I describe him as rude, or, really, as anything other than very polite, friendly and helpful. This is just another datapoint that showcases something Ive suspected for a long time. Usually when people complain about staff being rude, its because they were rude to the staff.Go here. Its quick and easy. The staff is polite. Ignore the idiots.
I needed help for mailing a specialty item and was refused help at two other USPS locations downtown. I finally went to this location in the Sears Tower and was helped by Betsy with no problems. The line was long but she still took the time to make sure what I needed done was taken care of and she was happy to do it. Ive found this to be rare at the USPS and am glad there are a few employees at the USPS who do their job.
I got to this location just after it opened around 8am on a Monday. There were two people in front of me and I was in-and-out within less than 10 minutes. The employee working the desk was very friendly and overall this was a great experience for me! Definitely nicer than the other post offices I have gone to in Chicago.
Helpful employees (ignore the racist comment below... the a few of the employees there are African American women and they are just as nice as the caucasian woman). The line is usually SO long though, thats the worst part. Other than that, theyre efficient and helpful. Far nicer and more intelligent than most USPS workers out there
Slow usually only one or two workers running the counter at a time. Most of the employees are very rude. They take way to much time helping people who shouldnt be in line if they dont know how to properly ship a package. Not the most clean building and most of the priority packing stations can be running low on supplies.
Honestly its like one of Dantes circles of hell. Its hot, smells weird, staff is dim and slow.
Polite and courteous staff, was not the least bit busy at 3:30pm on a Tuesday. The walk leading up to the post office was a sectioned off construction zone, but not like USPS has any control over the building owners renovation plans.
The staff working there really have different attitudes in serving customers. I wish I was served by the Caucasian who was very nice and patient to the customers. However, I was served by a African American woman instead. I was asking where I can find the track number after she took my Priority mail package. She gave me an evil eye and said its on the receipt without any emotion. I did not want to talk to her any more, said thank you, and then left.
Closed on Friday 4/19/19 with zero explanation. Part and parcel for this glorious institution.
Ive been here twice. The first time I would have given it four stars because this guy helped me very competently. I went today and there was a lady there who was rude, unhelpful and flat out trying to get out of doing any task outside the traditional taking a package like a zombie. The guy was there that helped me last time and when I asked him for help he let me know she is helping you now, knowing she was screwing up but not giving a damn! LOL! I guess I have my own lazy mean post office rep now! The way I came up with 1 star is 4 stars last time plus negative 3 stars this time equals one star. My advice is just hope you can use FedEx or some other service to do your business and avoid this Post Office and the one at 211 S Clark.
Worst experience I have ever had! Waited in line for 45 minutes. Employee Johnson didnt say anything to the long line, she took about 10mins per each customer and also helped a customer out of order who just walked in. Horrendous does not describe how terrible the service is! There is a FedEx across the street at Wells and Quincy. I was in/out of there in less than 10 minutes with great customer service!
A relatively quiet post office tucked away in the basement of the Sears Tower. Even at lunch time, Ive never been in line more than 10-15 minutes.
Have had a box there since october 2014 and have tried to call and get mail forwarded ever since! we are now in april of 2015 and i still dont have my mail, moved out of state and cannot get in touch with an actual human. SUCKS
Avoid this post office at all costs! I would give it no stars if I could. The customer service or lack thereof is horrendous. I came in 30 mins before closing and noticed on my way out that the clerk had put the receiving address to Atlanta and not St Croix, as requested. I walked up to the counter to point it out and she said, thats the zip code you gave me. Even before I handed her back the address I had provided her earlier to confirm that, in fact, that she had input the wrong address. Unbelievable. Review, before you argue with your customers. No apology, not that I was expecting one at that point, but she hurriedly scribbled out the new tracking number after mumbling something under her breath about people needing to settle down. Wth?? How is this unprofessional woman in customer service and how has management not taken notice to all the reviews pointing out how terrible the service is here??
The location is nice, it wasnt crowded when I went at 2:30pm. However a simple question to the lady at the desk about the best way to mail my item led to pricing confusion, misdirection, and two postal workers quoting to me that they always provide the best in customer service while totally not answering my questions and accusing me of not listening. I dont mail things everyday, so Im sorry I wasnt aware of all associated charges, fees, and Postal Service Terminology.
I wish I could give it 1 star. If you call this place, no one will care to answer the phone here is like they dont even have a supervisor. If you get lucky and get someone to pick-up you will experience the worst customer service youve ever received. HORRIBLE STAFF!!
A total shame as if no one is working there. I tried calling multiple times to all the offices in different locations but no one picks up the phone. Is this normal?
Horrible post office. they are all rude when you ask them questions they make assumptions and make it seem like youre and idiot. I asked for a supervisor once and the lady went in the back and never came back out. Crazy.
Best post office in any tall building on Earth!!
They shipped my stuff in the Wrong direction. They send the stuff back to me! What a waste of my time.
If you are ready to wait in line for 45+ minutes in a 105 degree room in the basement of the Sears Tower youve come to the right place. At least there is a line of 10 people to suffer with you and keep you company.
Didnt help AT ALL. SOOOOOOOOO RUDE!!!
They know how to help you, but they wont.
This place is complete joke!!! package siting for weeks no delivery attempt then it desapare !!!! Worst customer service !!
I never received an answer. This is the worst post office ever
This is terrible - I would rather perform a vasectomy on myself than wait in line here
Good service, despite all the negative reviews.
Rude and unhelpful staff.
Always service with a smile
Not so helpful.
Unpleasant staff
